It is near shopping and food areas near the Beijing Road. The room inside is dated but is in useable conditions. I stayed only 2 nights and chose a 3 bedrooms. The check in reception was on the 15th floor, and I stayed on the 22nd floor. One thing wasn’t convenient was the elevators, it is slow and broke down at one point. There are restaurants within the building and I think the 5th floor was a restaurant that I went for dim sum.

A lovely place to park when in GZ. Location is great. However, some hiccup, on day 1, though i booked my room in early 2025, the hotel could not check me in, they were overbked and had no room which i booked already for me. It was disappointing, however front desk, a young man was v nice and proactive, he got me a room in another hotel, within the same block for one night. But it was inconvenient, i had to move day 2. Anyway, thereafter all was well. I really enjoyed my stay, front desk young man was tops in service n keeping his word. The cleaning lady who came daily was wonderful, polite n kind. Perhaps, to improve, the building needs clearer directions re lifts eg if you are on level 14, use lifts 6,7,1,2. This info must be provided clearly. Also, re the lifts, guests needs to know, the lifts are super crowded, super slow. Other than this, i need to say, i will return to Hakka apt hotel again, i enjoyed my stay. Lovely staff, clean n location, awesome. Thanks.

The location of the property is convenient. Staff was nice. I love that I can do laundry in the comfort of my own room.

Now the bad. The elevator is outdated and moves slowly. So the wait time is unreasonably long. There’s two mattresses in my room. One of them was very hard and uncomfortable. The AC filter was disgusting. I doubt they ever cleaned it. With the sweltering heat wave, the AC kept breaking down. I kept getting error message and had to restart the AC. One night it didn’t work at all and I was sweating all night.

If budget is not an issue, look elsewhere.

This hotel room itself was very fancy and modern with lots of things like a washing machine and refrigerator. But finding the hotel was hard it took us 45 minutes to find the hotel and the front desk was for some reason located at the 14th floor and there was nothing which would’ve told us that at all. The lady at the front desk spoke no English and there were barely any translations into English so you have to fend for yourself to figure out how things work. The shower doesn’t close and there’s a sign that says slippery floor in the bathroom, and also there is no hair conditioner in it. The building was falling apart and cigarettes were littered everywhere.

As regards communication if you don’t speak Mandarin you will find it difficult to communicate with not just the hotel staff but the people in general I had to communicate through WeChat because it had translation option.

The property is on a busy district and so very convenient to get around. Bejing Road is a walkable street, I just love it. However, taking the elevators is a challenge. Long-wait is the norm. The facility in our unit is dated and needs upgrading and major improvement.

Great property, family of 6 staying, the location on google maps is not correct, but you could say the same for most of china maps (its offset). Apartment was spacious and had great amenities including your own washing machine. The hot water for the shower isnt unlimited so read the instructions.

Elevator is the main gripe, use the cargo elevators opposite the main elevators (near the stairs) and dont go during peak times. You have to wait quite a long time when it gets busy as some of the lifts dont stop at all the floors.

Location is amazing, great views, great food options to the west, shopping centre downstairs and close by (Guangbai Supermarket). Starbucks downstairs.

The nearest metro is Beijing Road Line 6, easy walk South through Tee Mall. Or you can walk north west to Line 1.

Week-long family trip to Guangzhou

Location was near the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. The metro (Gongyuanqian Station) was within walk distance of about 8 min. Good to get actual address from hotel before arrival. (Map on website was not the actual spot).

Hotel apartment was clean, comfortable, spacious and cosy. Had washing machine and microwave oven. Housekeeping daily to change towels, etc.

Only issue with getting up and down lifts, especially during day hours. Can take long time. Otherwise it has been a surprise find and we hope to return in future.

Very good stay, the location is excellent for food, sight seeing, and access to public transportation such as subway and buses. It is also very easy to get to from Guangzhou East high-speed rail station, the taxi ride from there cost about 30 RMB only. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Guangzhou!!

This property is on the 14th floor of an 40+ stories office building. There are a few other similar apartment hotel in the building and most of the guests are non-Chinese, mostly Middle East and Southeast Asia.
This property is the best option for 3 days plus stay since it has washer/dryer in the room. Our room is very spacious and felt like being home with all the adequate furniture.
You cannot find a better location than in Beijing Road. There are tremendous amount of local street food and Chinese restaurants around the building. There is a department store, a very nice dim sum restaurant, beauty store, and last but not least, Starbucks in this building, as well as a huge super market.

I had no problem checking in and out of the property since i can speak Chinese. The hotel staffs do speak English and i didnt see any communication problems between foreign guests and hotel guests while i was at the lobby room.

The description from hotels.com is not correct. This place is about a 20 min walk from GongYuanQian Station and not located near the station. Also, the building has many management offices. Pay attention to which floor to go to in order to check in. We had difficulty finding the place. Price was more expensive than if you found this place via local sites. Otherwise this place was spacious.

My family does not enjoy the stay at all for the following reasons:
1) The room and toilet are pretty old, many of their facility are old and rusty, eg: the rubber stopper to the toilet door is missing and what is left is a rusty metal nail that is prone to injury. I almost get cut by these metal nail.
2) Cockroaches is a common sight in the toilet and the front door of the room.
3) Although it’s a non smoking room, the room had a very strong cigarette smell.
4) Pillows and bathroom towels are not clean and it that cigarette smell too.

An apartment that is very near to everything

The location of the apartment is very near to everything - metro stations, shopping, and food. Check in process was quick and required a refundable deposit of RMB500. The room was clean and fairly well maintained. Everything worked fine in the room.

The only thing that was not working too well was the lift. Needed to wait for a long time for the life especially during peak hours. Also, the main entrance has a rather bad sewage smell.

Overall, my family had a pleasant stay at the apartment.

It's OK condition but it's not a hotel.

The overall condition is good. But from Expedia's map, I thought it was just next to the Subway station. It actually is 15 minutes walking distance and there is no obvious signage to show this is the hotel apartment. It took me 10 minutes to figure out I need to check in at 14th floor.

It's actually my first time to stay in such kind, so hard to compare. But the lifts are so busy, 5-10 minutes waiting to go up and down. (twenty odd floors, even thought there are 8 lifts).

I asked for NON-Smoking room but in fact people just smoke in there anyway. I can tell from the smell, burn marks on the bedside table and cigarette butts in the bathroom.

It was a spacious room and the location of the apartment is very convenient for us. Wifi connectivity was good. The staffs were very friendly though we had a language barrier but a translating app comes in handy!

There are many convenient stores around and the shopping street is just around the corner. 7-11, Starbucks, Watsons and Miniso is just downstairs (:

On a side note, I would have given a better rating if not for the small cockroaches everywhere. We checked in during very early in the morning and went out at noon. When we came back, the roaches were everywhere. We did not leave any opened food items behind and all the trash bins had been emptied before we left. I really do hope the management will look into this as it causes discomfort to anyone staying in the room.

That aside, everything else was really good (:

Right in the heart of shopping and eateries

Extremely convenient. Lots of shopping and eateries. Lifts are a bit slow as many people are using the lifts, which includes office workers, shoppers, dinners and apartment guests. But waiting time for the lift is still bearable. Less than 15 minutes walking distance to subway stations. Not that far as mentioned by other travellers. Some of the comments by travellers are a bit exaggerating, as in hotel staff being rude and uncooperative. Not for us though. Maybe it's because we do speak Mandarin and Cantonese, hence communication was a breeze. We did observed other travellers that could only communicate in English. The hotel staff were still accommodating and conversed politely in sparsely English. That went well too. Would be making another trip to Guangzhou as there are really too many shopping and eateries that we have yet to explore. And would definitely stay in this apartment once more.

We stayed here for 1 night only and found the place with much difficulty. It's buried in a complex that had no signage out the front. Other then that difficult start it was a pretty good overall experience. The locality to all things shopping, food, and transport couldn't be easier. After reading the reviews previously I was a little worried, but it was all good. The bed was a little hard, and pillows a little soft, but it had everything you could want. We will definitely be staying again, the lift takes its time due to work load, but hey we are all on holidays so what's the rush right?

Photos are better, but was still better than most

I have stayed at this hotel a second time. The photos are a lot more new and lovely compared to real life. Real life is a lot older. However, for the price and in this neighborhood in Guangzhou, this is already a good place to stay at. The beds are very clean, but very hard. The washroom doesn't have any odd stains, but it just looks very old and the shower doesn't drain well. I highly recommend bringing slipped to wear in the shower and cleaning everything with Lysol wipes before use. I also recommend bringing your own towels - they provide you with some, but they just feel very thin and not very clean, this could be due to the humidity and people smoking and cooking around the whole floor. The AC works well. The front desk understands English.

It is in a VERY convenient location on Beijing Road, and there is a lot of food around and a Watsons, Starbucks, and grocery store downstairs. The connecting building also has a lot of great good. I see many people from out of town stay at this hotel.

It is a service apartment. The whole building has 3 or more management companies. Hakka is only one of them and their front desk is at Rm 1407. We went into the building and found a front desk on ground floor but that is just another management companies. We asked that company and of course they don't willing to tell you where I can locate Hakka front desk. I ended up asking the security guard and he was very rude. Our first impression to this accommodation was bad.
We're finally able to locate Hakka. Check in was acceptable but we couldn't get all 3 rooms on the same floor. Elevators were terrible. I read this comments on hotels.com and finally understand why. Only 3 out of 6 elevators are in service during peak hours but the whole building has 20+ floor and each floor has 20+ rooms. Some guests are not considerate and will smoke in floor lobby.
For the $1200 price I gave, I won't stay here again for sure.

There is no heating system in the apartments. We stayed there 3 nights and it was nearly freezing inside.
We asked for extra blankets but they were all taken already! The water heater is very small and low capacity, so after 5 minutes of running hot water, it gets cold. Gotta learn to conserve to make ur shower last !!!

Hotels.com has the wrong map for the location of this apartment, which cost us about an extra hour to find. The elevators up to the 14th floor is the worst I've seen, it's slow and goes only one way and constantly pack with people visiting the mall from floors 1-8. Room was smoky when we entered it, furniture dated and sofas and beds very flat. Tho there is a washing machine, there was minimal utensils and no pots and pans. It's loud outside as it overlooks the busiest pedestrian shopping area of the city. No the place I had in mind when I booked because of the wrong map location. Subway station was not as close as I had hoped.

Value for money stay!

The hotel is located strategically above a mall in the middle of Beijing Road, thus making it a convenient option. Taking taxi from the airport would cost about RMB 120+ (including toll) and drivers tend to drop passengers off at the start of Beijing Road. Do look out for the chinese name of the building from far and walk towards it! The hotel is also 10 to 15 mins away from MRT stations, Beijing Road and Gongyuanqian.

The room is somewhat similar to the photos but slightly more run down as the wallpaper in certain parts of the room was peeling off. Basic amenities such as water, toothbrush sets, towels, soap and shampoo were provided and replenished daily. The beds were hard (not firm, just hard) and it was rather uncomfortable until one gets used to it. There were no closets in the room and we were simply given a portable clothing rack with plenty of hangers. Cable TV was provided as well but there were no instructions given and complex to navigate. The lifts within the building are very slow and easily full, hence it takes time to travel up and down the building. We had to provide RMB 300 as deposit upon checking in. The hotel also provides transport arrangements to the airport or HK, if one is keen.

I think one has to manage their expectations of accommodations over there but my friends and I agree that for the price paid, we got ourselves a decent stay.
