We spent three nights here. The hotel is wonderful. Staff, breakfast and service was excellent. We will certainly stay here the next time we come to Karlstad. Also interesting history of the former prison and well designed museum. Highly recommended!

It's an old prison and quite quirky. The standard rooms are small and on thr top floor a bit warm in summer, but there is a fan provided. The ropms and general hotel are of high quality.

Dock låg vårt rum ut mot trafikerad väg och järnvägsspår. Kan man välja så rekommenderas rum åt andra hållet.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male im BILAN: ein historischer Ort (ehemaliges Gefängnis), gute Zimmer, leckeres Essen, freundliches und kompetentes Personal, Parkmöglichkeit auf dem Gelände zu fairem Preis , gute Lage (fast) im Zentrum, so dass man fußläufig die schönen Punkte der Stadt erreichen kann.

Har bokat rum tidigare på detta hotel så viste sedan innan att det var bra. Men blev glatt överaskad när det visade sig att vi hade fått ett rum i ett hus ute på gården. Detta rum hade också en uteplats. Rumet var fint och rent. Skön säng. Frukosten hade allt man behövde och äggröran var en av den godaste hotel äggröra vi hade ätit på länge.
