This place isn't the Hilton BUT it is a great, honest, clean and convenient place for anyone looking to stay. The staff left you alone but were available if needed, the location is amazing, the noise is minimal and the rooms are comfortable and homely. We would happily stay here again if we return to Lorne. The one-bedroom apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious but the walls were paper-thin, rendering it very noisy. Sleeping through the noise of the fridge rumbling and the hot water system ramping up in a door next to the bedhead was no fun. This was followed, later, by the noise of a flushing toilet and cistern filling - from the apartment next door, no less! It all rendered the experience extremely unpleasant and made for an interrupted sleep - not what we expected for the price we paid!

Great location except for light sleepers

Was a bit disappointed in our stay - so much so we actually checked out a day earlier. We had a room facing the parking lot, and the lights from cars woke us up at night time as the blinds do not fully protect. We also had (assuming) the neighbours turn on our TV at 4:50 am (am guessing a universal remote?), and could hear them through the walls or outside the door to the point we weren't really able to sleep well (and my partner brought a noise machine for this reason). Aside from that, the room was alright, not much to write home about. The main reason I would say to stay at this Motel is its close proximity to the main strip in Lorne, and it would be good for an overnight stop but I would recommend finding elsewhere if you were planning multi-days.

We stayed in the 2 Bedroom Apartment for 2 nights and we all loved it. The kitchen and living area were nice and clean.

Our two young kids loved the stairs to the upper floor and the balcony with a bit of view to the Bay.

I was so happy with our stay here...the location is amazing, right amongst all the action in Lorne and easy walk to the beach, the room was clean and comfortable. The fridge and kettle allow you to save a bit of money by having some of your own snacks and coffee. the room is simple, you wouldn't want to spend all day in it, but it was incredibly comfortable, not too cramped, and the air con helped on a muggy night.

A couple of disappointments but overall a good trip away. The trip is sold as the room plus breakfast for two, I assume this means the breakfast is covered for in the price of the package. However, that is not 100% true. You have a $30 voucher for breakfast between the two of you, and then you have to pay anything above this. But the prices of most of the breakfast items are over $15, which means you will still have to pay something (Eggs Benedict is $16.50, Big Breakfast is $22). Would have no issue if it was advertised this way, but it is not, not in the bookings, or the receipt, or anywhere. So you feel taken advantage of.

A decent motel close to beach, shops and restaurants with a visitor centre within easy walking distance. There is a steep narrow ramp to drive up on arrival but the accommodation is clean and comfortable. WiFi timed out after a couple of hours. Overall this accommodation was good value for money. We very much enjoyed the Cockatoos flying around and about the vicinity.

We stayed one night on our way through Lorne. This room was spacious and had everything we needed. You could stay a couple of days here. Lorne can be noisy but our room generally protected us from this. There was a balcony to sit on with a table and lovely umbrella. I had booked a 2 bedroom room apartment with 2 bathroom n photos that displayed on hotels.com website that I have browsed thru about the apartment that I have booked was not what i have expected. It is not the same type of unit that I am getting and I saw on the website was an apartment but when during checked in time I was given a villa which I have to climb up and down to access to the kitchen. We were disappointed cos 4 of us have to share 1 bathroom attached with a toilet which caused us lots of inconvenience.

Lorne Weekend

A brief two night stay in Lorne at the start of Dec'17. Picked this hotel out from a number in Lorne as it was central and had good reviews. We had a 1 bed apt with a balcony overlooking the main road and an ocean view.

While not at the luxury end of the market this room was perfect, a good size and everything clean. I would have happily stayed longer if our plans had allowed. I like Lorne it's a great seaside town with good food and a good beach. What's there not to like and this hotel pits the vibe perfectly.

Really enjoyed our short stay and will get back one day if we can.

I’ve been to many holiday places, I didn’t get that welcoming feeling and when I mentioned certain things for example, I asked do we wash our own towels or do they service the room, he advised they haven’t serviced the rooms for 15 years to cut costs & if we want fresh towels we can take them to reception & they will replace them with clean towels, I found that bizarre that we had to take our towels, they didn’t come to our room. That’s just one incident. If I’m looking for a room only and minimal to no service, this place has positives, location & comfortable rooms

“Pleasantly surprised with this motel!”

It's located pretty much as you get into the beautiful and picturesque town of Lorne along the main road shops. While it doesn't have a sea view, it's just a short drive or walk round the corner to the beach, shops and restaurants. There's even a bakery right in front!

Stayed in room 7A. Clean, TV, kitchenette with the basic microwave, fridge and kitchenware available. Room is spacious with a separate toilet. Lots of lights and knobs to play with for different lighting conditions.

The toilet was also sizeable with a spacious enclosed shower area. There's a small balcony with an obstructed view. Nevertheless, a nice little area to sit outside.

Have to thank Wes at the reception for his pleasant reception! Good and friendly chap who made you feel very welcome.

Basically the motel wasn't anything fancy but makes for good lodging and a nice place to chill out

Everything was clean and good location. Only has two pillows for queen bed .. Had to request another on. The mattress was in desperate nerd of replacement .., could feel the springs poking at you. We had to put the extra quilt over the mattress to have some comfort.

We have stayed here for the last few years. The towels and the bed linen and getting a bit old. The spa bath was not working. It's a great location but definitely getting a little tired. It can be very noisy in the mornings in the downstairs rooms. You have to purchase wifi.
