The room was large and as clean as it could be.
We were able to check in early and we ate in the restaurant in the evening.
The food was good, plentiful and reasonably priced.
The staff we met were very pleasant and generally we enjoyed our stay.
There was much to see in the surrounding area and the central location made it easy to walk around the locality.

All the staff were super friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Great meals, great service, lovely atmosphere, really nice room. Only minor downer was the water pressure in the shower and water going hot and cold, but would definitely stay again if we had a need to travel there.

The food was really good in the dining room, good choices on menu for food and drinks. Staff really obliging and friendly. The bathroom floor was quite dirty under the hand basin and around the edges of the floor. The carpet in the room probably needs a deep clean and the room had an unsavoury smell about it.

This was my second visit to the Victoria Hotel and got the sane room. The room is spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was included and enough for my needs.

The property looks great for an old building, what let's it down is how dirty it is. Dust everywhere, carpet dirty and dusty. Bathroom was flithy floor had not been washed in a long time, stains on the floor, spa bath dirty and jets needed a good clean. The bedding was stained and had curlys on it. Tv was not programmed for free to air and was hard to use, the night staff was great and tried everything he could even looking at another rooms tv. The first room was really dirty. The second was a little better the lady was great doing her best, even agreed was dirty but said that there vaccum cleaner was not the best. Very noisy with doors slamming all night long and people yelling. Just want to say the staff where amazing for what they deal with. Safety things like aircondioner filter had a good cm of dust on them all, the down light was hanging and all other lights where flickering. This needs to be addressed asap

We enjoyed two days in Victoria Hotel and were pleasantly surprised at all the close amenities and convenience of the downstairs restaurant and bar. The room was a very generous size and everything was super clean.
The second night was very windy and we did wake a number of times due to metal gates banging in the wind, which could be an easy fix (we spoke to a staff member as we were checking out). Overall, a very reasonably priced and pleasant stay in a lovely location.

The thing I didn’t like was they only had 5 car parking spaces and these are really only suitable for small cars, and you had to reverse out of the spaces as there is no turning room. Another problem I experienced was that it was very noisy at night. I think they do the laundry at night because from my room I heard water pipes working overtime and loud banging as the laundry seemed to being carried out.

Did have hot water for nearly a whole day which one it was my birthday and two ment we couldn’t use the spa in our room.. there was two lights that needed changing as when you dim them they started to flicker real bad! Both mornings we got woken up by workers and power tools. Other than that the staff was nice, friendly and accommodating. Got offered a discount for the no hot water issue, other than that the area was lovely! Weather was good, and price was good. Thanks for having us.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. The room clean and spacious. The bed awesomely comfortable and I slept very well especially after a deep soak in the massive spa 🛁 . I started my day with a sparkling early morning walk along the river in the park directly opposite the Hotel - really great overnight stay - thank you:)

Excellent dining. External access to room was scary and hazardess for a 70 yo woman so I used the internal stairs. Bed linen and towels very clean but the room had dust around the skirting boards. Shower eas over spa and the pipes made a terrible noise when turned on. I would never stay there again

Good size room. Pleasant decor. Breakfast supplies in room generous. Close walking distance to all that Strath has to offer. Enjoyed the stay.
All rooms are upstairs and distant from car. As an elderly (81) person, I found climbing the steep and narrow staircase a challenge.
Granddaughter loved the spa bath, but I was unable to shower because the shower was in the bathtub.
We enjoyed our stay, but difficulties with accessibility might prevent us from staying again 😁

A fascinating old building with a large room and good dining facilities. The only window opens on to an internal light-well with a bright light which means the room is not completely dark at night -no other complaints. Unfortunately, we did not have time to use the large spa bath!

The drinking water tasted foul. I ended up drinking 8 cups of tea, but it even ruined the tea. The shower kept going cold. The bed was hard. The ensuite was so small that I banged my head on the door when accessing the toilet. $160 for a rubbish stay.
