One night stay

We only stayed the one night as we were passing through to visit family in Macclesfield. It was easy to get to and the surrounding scenery was stunning. Checkin was clear with reception and very informative. We had a queen size bed a kitchet with all amenities. There was a walk in shower and plenty of closets space. Very clean and tidy. The best thing was, we were given eggs and bacon in the fridge and cereal for our breakfast and a welcome bottle of Longview vineyards own wine. All was unespected and was received with thanks. Excellent ***** wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing to fault with the room with a kitchenette. Their complimentary breakfast for our Longview suite was excellent. Staff were helpful, despite a wedding reception happening. These modern units are really good with a comfy bed n great showers with all the necessary amenities.

Lovely, peaceful stay for a special occasion or just a getaway for a night! The Shiraz Homestead was so spacious, loved the big bedrooms, one with a four poster king-sized bed which was lovely & comfortable. The deck was perfect for an afternoon wine and morning coffee/ breakfast that is supplied at the cottage. Great spa bath to relax. Thank you for a beautiful stay and the complimentary bottle of delicious wine.

We had a 5star experience at this beautifully manicured estate, for our 3star budget. The beds were so soft we felt like we slept on clouds. Everything was clean and the staff were super polite and friendly. We highly recommend this special piece of paradise in the Adelaide hills. A shame we couldn’t stay longer! This was our second stay at Longview. The setting is perfect. The Vineyard Suites have quite private views over the vineyards. There are places to walk and to pay the retired police horses. It really is an idyllic setting. The restaurant is very, very good and it sits in a beautiful location. The wine is great. The rooms are clean, the king beds very comfortable. The food supplies are plentiful for breakfast and there’s a free bottle of wine.

Longview and its fabulous view!

Longview Vineyard is a great place to spend a couple of nights. We stayed one but wished we’d had a second. The best thing is the location. You have the freedom to wander the property at night and in the morning and there’s a great restaurant to eat lunch.

You have breakfast supplies, including bacon and eggs. Or, you can eat the eggs for tea.

We’d go again. Clean and comfortable room and bed.

Our only reservation was the noise from next door. Most rooms are adjoining. Our neighbors came late, with kids, and they were voluble. We heard it all. At night and in the morning.

Perfect Winery Location

Due to a mixup which the staff helped us with quickly we had the pleasure of staying in a vineyard suite and a longview suite,both were exceptionally clean and very comfortable,the vineyard suite would be my preference as it has the views. Both accommodations provided the same breakfast items which were generous and tasty. The surroundings of Longview are beautiful and it is a good location for access to other parts of the Hills or Langhorne Creek area and a five minute drive into Macclesfield where there are two pubs for
food in the evening if required. We would stay again.

It’s a beautiful place, gorgeous scenery. They provide breakfast ammenities so you can cook up some bacon and eggs and eat on the porch, overlooking the gorgeous views! Only thing we weren’t the fondest of is that there’s two seperate rooms that are right next to each other, sharing the same middle wall. Apart from that, it’s a beautiful place to stay!

We had a great stay at Longview! Incredible bed and bathroom, lots of room. We did arrive in the evening and it can be a bit tricky finding the right way (as we almost walked into the neighbouring property). Amazing location, we loved having our breakfast outside watching the kangaroos hop around the vines. We highly recommend it.

My partner and I stayed in suite 7 which has the inground spa overlooking the vineyard - it was fantastic ! The room was comfortable and clean, the view was great and that spa bath was such a highlight ! Would recommend to family and friends.

As we entered our room and looked through the large windows we saw the sweeping view of the vineyard. It was beautiful appointed the room met all our needs with a wonderful breakfast. Love the cook our own breakfast. It was perfect.

Wow, what a great place for a quiet get away! The room was spacious and modern but the icing on the cake included the tranquil vineyard views, free wine and generous breakfast provisions. Check in was a breeze and a later return visit to the cellar door for tastings proved a great experience with Brendan sharing his passion and knowledge of all things wine related. We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Even though the weather was terrible we were very comfortable in our apartment. It was clean, fresh, modern and had everything you could ask for. Complimentary breakfast was supplied for both mornings, and there was an abundance of food which was very much appreciated. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the kitchenette was perfect for our needs. Would definitely love to go back and would recommend to everybody.

What nice modern comfortable accommodation with everything you would want in a nice quite private B&B. Very well set out in a great location if you were driving in and out of the area like we were. Centrally in the Adelaide hills wine area with several directions to explore and then down into Adelaide itself. Only negative would be that the car access is a bit ruff. Very nice and helpful reception lady welcomes you with a personal touch and email contact before arriving. Thankyou we enjoyed our stay, defiantly would consider coming again.

different experience from seaside accommodation

If u r looking to experience life in a vineyard, then this is it. However no guided tour around the yard to tell me abt the yard, operations etc. basically free to roam urself, Gotta bring ur own food to cook as no meal provided other than bf which they provided bacons n eggs in ur fridge..

As the grapes were not in season (May), so there was no grapes tasting or whatsoever, no entertainment other than watching DVDs in the room. N that's that. Just a v peaceful getaway from city life which is what I was looking for... Quite a different experience from all the seaside accommodations I stay for my road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide.

Very relaxing quiet surroundings would be great for a group of friend as there is a great communally BBQ area you can use.
Just small detail cleaning needed eg cobwebs and small spiders in the corners, bug splatter on the roof, black stain on the quilt, and water stains (on the wall) underneath the air con.
Overall happy with the accommodation and would stay here again

Peace and quiet in the country

I wanted a few days peace and quiet in the wine country before a cruise departing from Adelaide. A nice hour drive in each direction.
Place was exactly what was needed. There's a welcome bottle of wine, plus all the items to make a gourmet hot breakfast.
Bring a few items & some purchases from local vineyards & businesses and you've got a relaxing place away from the noise.
Absolutely loved it and will be back again!

Partner and I had a friend's wedding to attend - their Reception was held at the Longview Vineyard. Conveniently they had rooms also available, we didn't have to worry about driving back into town late at night.

Location is beautiful. Rooms around back provided a comfortable secluded atmosphere, but allowed venturing to the scenery and facilities.

We were also given an extra hour before check out for free! Staff over the phone and in person were polite and lovely. We were given a letter with details upon checking in - it was a lovely touch and provided handy information on amenities etc.

I really liked the staples they included for a lovely breakfast (and the complimentary wine, thank you!)- if only we could get the induction stove to turn on! As it was a hot day and we wished to just head back home before heat/traffic, we did not bother to stick around to ask management. It was our choice and not a reflection on Vineyard staff.

Definitely another location in the hills to consider for any future weekend getaways =]
