I already have recommended the Fairway Forest Resort to friends & family due to the excellent customer service, the accommodations were superb and the amenities were outstanding. I traveled with my service animal (French Bulldog) and the staff was mindful and so attentive to both of us and treated us with care, dignity and respect which is important to disabled people because we don’t like being singled out and treated less than and the staff was just lovely and sweet to us. We just got home and already are planning our next stay for week instead of a weekend

The unit was very clean and comfortable. The particular one we stayed in had a balcony but due to the weather we didn't go out on it; the view was just \"so so\" - it just looked into the woods and also down the hill we could see a maintenance building. The kitchen was stocked and although we didn't cook, we felt we could have easily prepared meals.

We were not expecting a two-level space. We spent all of our time in the lower level, which was a kitchen, bathroom and dining area and bedroom. A stacked washer/ dryer came in handy. The only negative is the televisions ( upstairs and downstairs) were of very poor quality. We were watching the colllege football playoffs and this was a big disappointment. Otherwise an excellent property.

The one bedroom apartment was nice with the fireplace. The bed was very hard. The Clubhouse was about 2 miles away that had the pool in the hot tub.It was not located on the property , and neither were the grills. Also it Close early at 8:45pm.

It’s a nice place to stay. Nothing special and no great views. The brewery and the golf course are currently closed (August/Sept 2025). The check in is next to Cashiers and then you will drive to the condo style hotel room which is about a mile away. It’s conveniently located next to Cashiers and the one ski slope. It’s an average place to stay but an above average room. The rooms were very clean and well kept with a nice fireplace.

We were just a few minutes away from the best Mexican restaurant, it was amazing! The beds and pillows were comfortable, the place was super clean! Plenty of space and everything we needed in the kitchen was there. We were very happy with our unit and would love to stay again sometime.

We had a beautiful suite, very comfortable bed, recently updated, very quiet beautiful setting from our balcony, in our suite we could hear our neighbors like they were in our kitchen. We were disappointed that the pools , lake, mini golf and all other outside amenities are back in town where you check in. But we loved our suite and would stay there again.

Great mountain getaway

What a beautiful place to stay in the mountains! The two bedroom condo was quiet and comfortable and very clean. In addition the amenities were amazing with an indoor pool and 2 hot tubs and an outdoor pool, also a fun miniature golf course and ping pong and pool tables. The hospitality was top notch, kept checking back with us- changed rooms for us because of noise! A great mountain get away!!

Twisty roads and unlocked connecting door

We found that driving up to our unit was concerning. It was a 2 1/2 mile drive on twisty roads that were scary. Apparently an easier way to access the unit was closed because of a road washout. Also, the connecting door between our unit and the other unit was not locked and we had to call for maintenance to lock it, so we couldn’t leave the unit until maintenance responded.

We enjoyed our stay and received great value for the accommodations. The staff checking in and checking out were great. The property is not as close to the check-in location as I thought but that was okay because it was situated in a very quiet place up on the mountain per se.
My only negative is the amenities fee charged for my one-night stay in which I really cannot use. Check-in time is 4 and the pools, mini-golf, games, etc close at 5. By the time one checks in, drives to the unit and then has to drive back to the rec center it's almost 5. Check-out is at 10 and the place opens at 8 but I am not in a rush to go do those activities at 8 am. Would have been nice if the amenities were available until 7 or 8 at least.
The price was right so the fee is not that much of a big deal other than I couldn't really use what I paid for.

Kitchen has dishes, pots/pans, silverware. Very comfortable and we felt safe. We had the deluxe suite which has everything on the same level (no climbing a flight of stairs to get to the bedroom). Would stay there again when going to Gorges State Park.

The cabin was perfect! It was clean, actually very clean. I was impressed with the bathroom - all white and spotless. The appliances were are in working condition. The kitchen was stocked with clean dishes, drink ware, utensils etc. The view was spectacular. The woman who assisted with check in was helpful and informative. She kept in touch regularly by texting us at appropriate times. Check in and out was seem less, even though the office is not on the premises, it was not inconvenient.
The only negative thing, is that you can hear the neighbors showering, flushing etc. it was not such a big deal unless you’re a light sleeper. It still didn’t bother us.

Awesome place…. Except when it snows.

The accommodations were perfect. The unit was newly renovated and beautifully done. The only problem was it snowed very hard when I was there and didn’t get to enjoy any of the amenities they offer due to being closed for ice on the roads. You pay for the amenities card as part of your booking, but everything was closed and no possibility of ever using the card. I called and asked for a refund for the amenities portion and got some excuse that wasn’t acceptable. I hate it, but I’ll never book Fairway Forest again over the poor excuse about the refund, but it’s a very nice place indeed.

Fairway Forest Resort

Things to note: The check-in office is 1.7 miles from the actual resort. The gym and some of the other amenities are not in the resort, but are across the street from the check-in office, so the photos listed are not necessarily from the resort grounds but across the street from the check-in at the community center (such as the gym/swimming pool/pretty bridge, etc). From where our room was in the resort, it was a 3.2 mile drive to the gym. You will also be charged a daily resort-use fee, whether you use the facilities or not. None of this is explained on the website, or on hotels.com.

Overall, we loved the resort. The WiFi password was not easy to locate-minor detail.
The reason for 2 stars is we did not have hot water. We were told maintenance was on the way and they never showed up. Cold showers in the am were not helpful, especially with children. The office did nothing to acknowledge this issue which is why we will find another resort for next time.

Great Basecamp to Explore Sapphire Valley

I recently stayed at Fairway Forest and it was a pleasnt surprise. The service was great. The one bedroom standard suite was clean and recently remodeled. The location was perfect for a basecamp to explore the area and hike in Panthertown Valley.

The only reasons i gave 4 in some questions is because the pictures give a sense that all the amenities are in the property. When in reality, you have to drive at least two miles to the amenities and restaurants. There are no amenities in the property.

Property was fine. I did not like the $20 amenity charge that was a surprise at check in. It was not mentioned during booking.
Also I booked 2 rooms. These were 1 bedroom condos. They initially booked the second room on another cul-de-sac because I did not request that they be near each other. That was a question they should have asked me and not a requirement that I was supposed to tell them. Not happy with the 2 story nature of the condo. Entrance was ground level but living area was a flight down. Again, something that should have been pointed out and not a question one normally asks when booking a room.

A nice family resort

Check in was very easy and unit was easy to locate. The interior was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The decor is dated. There are teflon coated pots and pans in the kitchen, and the coating is badly scratched. Those need to be replaced as it is a health hazard. Also the shower heads are tiny and have buildup which restricts the flow even further. We stayed in Bldg 8 at Fairway Forest.
The resort itself is in a beautiful location, and has great amenities. My grandchildren loved kayaking on Lake Sapphire. The lake trail on the beach side is an easy hike, but further around it becomes more difficult. ( I didn’t make the entire hike) The kids also loved the indoor pool. They were. quite thrilled to see a black bear near the community center. He left without protest when shooed off by an employee.
I had a nice chat with the lady in the community center on Sunday morning. I wish I had gotten her name!
The towns of Cashiers and Highlands were nice to explore, and
I am definitely looking forward to a return visit.
