We absolutely loved Sky Beach. Although the driveway into the resort could definitely use work, our bungalow was always clean and very well taken care of. Everything was in good condition with fantastic views of the ocean and pool. The housekeeping staff checked in every morning to make sure we were well stocked on towels, coffee, etc. One of the housekeepers even let us use her personal chairs and umbrella for the beach. The restaurant on grounds is pricey, but still a good dinner option. If you're looking for a secluded, romantic getaway, this is the place for you. Would definitely return again!

The room was lavish and spotless. The service was excellent, with special help from Jermaine and Mekell. The infinity pool overlooking the sea made a beautiful backdrop, visible from every bungalow! I would only warn visitors that there were many biting flies in the area, to which I am highly allergic.

This place was great, it was our first trip to eleuthera and i took a chance because you never know if reality will match up to the pictures but sky beach club exceeded expectations!!
The beach out front is dreamy, the small resort is beautiful and the staff is as friendly and helpful as you could ever hope for!
I can't wait to visit again!!

The driveway from the main road to the property needs to be properly paved. Currently it is a marl road with lots of deep sinks. When this is done the place will look immaculate. This did not make my stay unpleasant, just advice to make the drive up more comfortable and attractive. The Bungalows are beautiful and the view breath taking. I absolutely loved it, already recommended it to a few friends and will definitely return.

This is a great property with very friendly staff and spotless rooms. There is a restaurant just steps away from the villa with a swim up bar that is great too. I would have given a full 5 star review but the driveway does need a lot of work. This should be remedied soon as there was a gentleman doing some work on it today when I was leaving.

It probably could be more clearly stated that the restaurant and bar are Closed on Mondays. So you have to leave the property to get drinks and/or food. Everything else was fantastic!
Will definitely stay there again! Beautiful views and beautiful cottages

Wonderful Views of the Ocean, pool, and the heaven

Sky beach club is a beautiful resort, but you must have a vehicle to get around. The road conditions getting to it are deplorable. We were in Villa #1 and the view and location were great. Right outside the door was the pool and restaurant. Below the restaurant was the ocean and beach. This resort is built mountain side. Food at Pascal’s was very good. They serve lunch and dinner and have a pool side bar. Our first day the power was out from 10 to 3. It happened once again on Valentine’s Day at dinner time. From 6 to 9 the power was out. Not surprising for us since this has happened many times to us at Bahama Resorts. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom large with both a shower and tub, 2 vanities. There was also a small refrigerator and microwave, coffee pot and toaster. The only thing lacking was a full length mirror. There were mirrors over the vanities but unless you are tall, it was difficult to see yourself. They must have been mounted at 50” high. The Smart TV was large but not located in the right place. It should be mounted above the doors centered with the bed. There was no dining table or desk inside but 2 chairs and the tv console table. A small sofa would have been more comfortable and a place to sit and eat, etc. The room is very spacious, these adjustments could be made for convenience. The outdoor patio had chairs, chaises and an umbrella. The view of the ocean from the room is outstanding. All in all we enjoyed our time.

Ok so the pictures say one thing, but what it is actually, is something you won't see until your on site. This is a desolate property. There is not a front desk and no on site help. You literally are there on your own. The restaurant pool is not always open and the roads that lead into the property are not paved. The beach is private but your own your own. There is no one there to assist you. Please have a rental because there is no transportation near. The Bungalow is well built and comfy but its the Isolation and lack of grounds crew/ personnel that makes this not the choice for future visits to Eleuthera.

This is not a hotel. It’s much more like renting a house with a key in a lockbox. The pool was disgusting, dark green, and unusable. The photos on Expedia are fake, especially the pool. I’m not saying the pool photos are fake because the pool was broken when I was there, it’s an entirely different pool. This didn’t have palm trees set into stones around a modern pool. The driveway was barely useable, giant ravines and rocks, and you could total a car on it.

The beach was amazing though, one of the best in the world.

This was our first trip to Eleuthera and we will certainly return! We choose Sky Beach Club for the onsite bar and restaurant and modern facility. Room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Minifridge and full size coffee pit meant we could eat in for breakfast and lunch if we chose. Villa 1 and 2 have lovely views of pool with ocean beyond, yet are secluded behind well maintained landscaping. Pool bar under the watch of Sammy was always a fun place to hang out. Drinks were delicious and Sammy a wealth of knowledge about local happenings. We met many new friends here as you can visit to use the pool if you eat/drink from restaurant. Lobster quesadilla was wonderful! The beach in front of resort is the most beautiful we saw! Almost endless stand of deserted beach. Loved it! Bad points - the road into property is REALLY in poor shape. Go slow and rent a 4 wheel vehicle! Checkin was inattentive. They finally texted us the door code hours after arriving though room was ready. Would have been helpful to drop luggage and see fridge etc before we went to get groceries.
Overall a fabulous stay! We will certainly go back!

The road leading to the property was treacherous to traverse in an SUV. So once we were up, we didn’t want to leave. We had to wait until after 3 to check into our room even though there was only my husband and I and one other guest staying in the cottages. The room was a lovely room with ocean views. Pasquale’s restaurant is rarely open. No ice on premises and internet was out as well as electricity a few hours a day. The beach is beautiful but has so much trash along the dune lines but from our visit to Eleuthera, most of their beaches are riddled with plastic trash. That’s what you get for $200 a night in the off season.

We loved our bungalow which was spacious and comfortable. The chef Pascal was very good. The bartender Sammy was very friendly.
However, there is no breakfast service.
It is difficult to get into the resort due to a poor driveway. The pool is in disrepair and needs retiling. The hot tub is not functional.
The beach however is beautiful, however there are no chairs or umbrellas out there.
The place needs a big investment and then would be stunning.

We stayed in Bungalow 1 close to the swimming pool. Bungalow 1 is ok with a fine view over the swimming pool and the sea. Pascal's bar was fine and created a good atmosphere. However, the swimming pool is in a sorry state of repair - tiles missing and not clean. It does not deserve the very positive description on Hotel.com. Nobody used it the three days we stayed in the hotel. Also clean the beach, please. In places it looked like the inside of a garbage bin. Not a common sight at Eleuthera

So let me set a proper expectation for you. Eleuthera is a beautiful island with kind, beautiful, people. Like the island itself the perfection is sort of in the imperfections. Sky Beach is no exception. When you read the older reviews a lot of what is described is correct. This property was a development gone belly up, which is why it hasn't reached its true potential. The property doesn't have 24-hour staffing and definitely seems to lack regular upkeep / maintenance on the pool, spa, and the grounds. They were starting work on the road and the beach access, which gets washed away regularly. Now Sammy is the real deal. A happy host providing great spirit/spirits while bringing people together. Many of the locals will say the same thing as they come to the property just to visit him. Thank you, Sammy you are the BEST! Staffers were pleasant, accommodating, and the food was really tasty. Mekell though not always onsite did pick up the phone when something was needed. The bungalows are nice, spacious, clean, and make for a solid stay, but don't get upset when the power goes out, it happens to the entire island. Location is central for ease to island access, the beach has beautiful pink sand, the property is very relaxing, with the sounds of waves crashing in the backdrop. It felt as if it was entirely ours. I always check my options, but personally would not hesitate to stay at Sky Beach again especially knowing what I know. Plus, experiences are made not given!

Cons:
- no check-in counter / desk
- the road to the bungalow is quite broken
- no room cleaning was done
Overall a good recommendation and the many positive things are worth the few small cons

This property had multiple closed signs when we arrived. Bar and restaurant were not intending to open till night after we arrived. Property has not been maintained. Pool was in bad shap spa was empty and over grown, beach bar building was boarded shut with closed signs. We were only guests and no onsite staff overnight. We found machete on picnic table next morning. The place should not be available for booking.

Sammy was incredible. He is infectious and extremely hospitable. The property itself is a bit run down. Pool furniture is in poor shape. Hot tub was not full or running. Curtains are torn in spots, lampshades stained and do not fit properly, took a while to figure out how to lock and unlock front door, whirlpool tub is hard to work as well, only one remote for air-conditioning (there are two in the Bungalow)and it was very cold, especially in the bathroom. CC presents herself as an employee and even uses Sky Beach Club as her email. Yes she is hospitable and kind but not trustworthy in the slightest. She entered my room without my knowledge and went through my belongings. I noticed several things out of place. A couple of staff members saw her enter and exit. This is a liability and the last thing I would have expected from her. I wont be back to Sky Beach Club and i will post this to every forum to let others know what to expect. It's an extreme violation of privacy. Especially someone who has keys to all units and is not an employee.I sent and email to the property managers and was told this was the first they had heard of something like this happening. It's a shame because the view is breathless.

The accommodation - a bungalow- was lovely! Clean, modern, thoughtfully laid out and prepared. However It was NOT a hotel - more like a serviced condo. Tara, the 'concierge' was most helpful. The road was appalling down to the accommodation- the worst that we found on the island, which says a lot. Be warned! And the set up needed love and attention. eg one tatty fixed umbrella on the beach and a few chairs in various states of brokenness. Very peaceful until 12pm when music began, linked to the great pool/ swim up bar, and restaurant. Virtually deserted until then though. You definitely need a car to get out and about- which you would wherever you stay. A beautiful island and we kept coming upon surprises - like Baccus fine foods for great coffee or an icecream shop selling icecream and waffle cones, not to mention the beaches. But it is not all pristine and cut and dried- which was reflected in the hotel. But our 11 nights stay was just what we needed!

Stay a way!!!

This is not hotel. They build few houses next to the Public bar and restaurant... the worst place to stay.. many locals coming and they using swimming pool. Beach is really dirty. Many empty bottles from drinks. Nothing to eat . You need rent car or taxi to get anything to eat. Bed really uncomfortable. The cheapest matres cover with blanket to make it soft. You can't stay more than 5hrs in the bed because back pain is horrible.
No cabanas for rent on the beach.
We got message from owner if you are heavy breakfast eater you need rent car.
I have no idea who gave to this place 4*
I bought this vacation because they have only 7 houses so we want to rest but if you are really looking for quiet place stay a way!!!!
The worst vacation ever and we are traveling a lot. I hope expedia will remove this place from the list. Nothing what you can read about this \"hotel\" on the website is not true.
We were there only one couple. Rest houses were empty.

Perfect Honeymoon

My wife and I stayed at Sky Beach Club during our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it!
Bungalow 1 had a perfect view and easy access to the pool. CC, the caretaker, was super helpful and even cleaned my wife's shoe when she accidentally got tar on it on the rocks near the beach. She thought she had ruined some of her favorite flip flops but we were pleasantly surprised when we returned from a day at the beach to find the shoe completely cleaned.
Overall, Sky Beach Club was all that we could ask for and more: great accommodations, secluded beach and room, delicious food at Pascal's, wonderful service, and a beautiful setting.

Excellent location, good facilities. Outstanding beach. Great people.
I would like to see a bit more from the restaurant, although many people are obviously fond of it. There are other good restaurants not too far away by car. A car is essential to get the best out of the island.

Great rooms on superb beach

Wonderful staff, great rooms, wonderful swim-up bar with Sammy, the number one bartender in Eleuthera, at the helm. The pool could stand a little more cleaning and the restaurant offerings are not top of the line. The beach is spectacular and just a few hundred feet from the pool/bar/restaurant. All in all, this is a lovely place where you feel instantly at home.
