It was a lovely hotel and not too far to walk to main attractions and restaurants. Pool was very nice and lovely to get a short swim in and relax after long car journey . Bit of a walk up from restaurant in evening unfortunately lift stopped at 8pm. Only thing check in is from 4 and could have done with it being bit earlier even though could park there .

What a charming hotel! The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The lady at the front desk met us there for a late evening check-in. Everyone was so nice from the Lobby and the kitchen staff. The hotel is a walking distance to Rocamadour chapels and villages. So happy to have found this place. I will come back again!!!

Awesome location in a quiet area on the outskirts of town but yet still an easy stroll in to town for meals and shopping. Also, very walkable to the old town and the church. What beautiful views of Rocamadour.
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Very responsive to every question and need.

Great location and very quiet. The hotel is contemporary but, hidden in the trees, rather nice.
Madame made us most welcome and straight away told us that we should book somewhere for dinner. The first place was fully booked (Bellevue) but we reserved for Bellevedre and it was good. It was pretty full by the time we left.
Very comfortable bed and everything we needed in the room. Breakfast starts at 8 and we were there ready as we had a long journey ahead. Very good breakfast, all paid up and en route by 8.30.
Would go back.

Very nice finding and stay

It has a very good location with almost direct access to the upper part of the village where the castle is. Close enough to restaurants and grocery store, but far enough from the enclaved village itself. The room is really comfortable, though I booked an above class. Coffee and tea in the room, very clean and a relaxing nice tub in the bathroom. Missed the shower in the wall and a curtain there, but I´ve seen that in a lot of hotels in Europe, where you have a telephone like shower, makes it a little harder to shower, but still not a deal breaker. The place itself is magnificent, with good weather you can enjoy the big backyard, and actually have breakfast in the terrace. Service is really good, only thing is check in time is until 8 pm, but when you book you are advised about that.

Oasis of serenity

This lovely, understated hotel is peaceful and quiet, set in a glad of beautiful trees and surrounded by a moss-covered stone wall. It feels secluded, yet it is within easy walking distance of Rocamadour and the restaurants in Hospitalet. The people who operate this property could not be kinder or more helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Highly recommended if visiting Rocamadour

If visiting Rocamadour, you need to know that there is Rocamadour and Rocamadour (R)l'Hospitalet (RH). R is the \"vertical village\" that you probably want to visit and RH overlooks it at the top of the hill. This hotel is in RH but don't let that put you off.

Although there may be a charm to staying in a hotel actually in R, parking is a challenge. This hotel is in RH and overlooks R. There are multiple ways to get up and down including a lift from the abbey. After parking on arrival at the hotel we didn't use the car again.

There are some \"iffy\" reviews of this hotel, but we were really pleased with it.
The owner and staff were extremely helpful with lots of tourist advice.
The breakfast was good value and there was a large selection.
Clean room, air-con and easy parking.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The rooms were very spacious with nice views to the outdoors. The beds were ok - the linens and mattresses were satisfactory but not luxurious. Everything else was wonderful. The staff was very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel last year around this time and found it wonderful so booked again for this year but for two nights, we found it a very different experience this time. The whole ambience of the place was different, the decor was more tired and the bed not as comfortable. Breakfast the first morning was spoilt by two lots of dog walkers and dogs in the breakfast room! Not everyone loves everyone else's pets with their food! The proprietor informed us she had to close the hotel for the day, as we were the only guests booked in that night, she would honour our booking! But we would be alone in the hotel, the front door was to be locked and we could use the rear. She asked if we needed breakfast the following day, whether something could be left for us on a tray. We declined breakfast as we were travelling early the next day, so it didn't matter much to us. We didn't mind being in the hotel alone, and made use of the lounge area, but it was cold, as we were in the middle of a really cold spell, the heating was only adequate, and it would have been a nice gesture for the fire to have been lit! We settled our bill the day before, and on the morning of departure, nobody came to see us out! We think this was a poor state of affairs, we felt like we were intruding. No reduction in price though! Still paid for a full hotel experience! Don't think we will be back! Shame!

We could not be happier with this hotel! We got a free upgrade to an exceptional handicapped room. The staff was very attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make us feel special. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We were very close to the UNESCO Heritage site we came to see. There was a lounge with books and games, and the staff had good information on restaurants and things to do and see.

Beautiful hotel in Rocamadour

This hotel is the nicest I have ever experienced in France! Why? Because the hotel is in a beautiful setting in Rocamadour, it's contemporary style is in perfect condition. The welcome from the receptionist was warm and friendly, the room was spacious, tastefully decorated, smelled beautiful, bed linen and towels first class. The shower room was lovely with gorgeous toiletries. A lovely welcome tray with coffee, tea and biscuits and China cups! Bed super comfy, perhaps a little low for some with limited mobility, otherwise fine!
There is an outdoor swimming pool, but not open in a very cold early March! A small garden area outside French doors with table and chairs.
Breakfast was superb, open buffet with cheese, hams, breads, croissants, jams, honey,nuts, fruit plus a hot serving of eggs and bacon. I would definitely return to this gorgeous hotel.

Lovely, comfortable hotel for a peaceful stay.

Lovely hotel with a tranquil feel but less than 5 minutes walk to a great view over Rocamadour. 10 minute walk to the pathway down to the sanctuaries, 10-15 mins to Rocher Des Aigles, 20 minutes to the Foret des Singes and 15 minutes walking from a handful of great restraurants in the L'hopitalet area overlooking Rocamadour. Hotel doesn't include breakfast,which is the one downside, and it costs a signifcant amount extra (especially over several nights) so we didn't take it up. The pool was lovely and there was plenty of seating in the hotel sitting room to make up for the lack of seating in the room itself, which was very comfortable and air-conditioned.

We stayed here for only one night as part of a longer trip. The whole experience at the hotel was excellent. The room was beautifully designed with lovely views over-looking the gardens. The staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast was good and we had an excellent meal at 'the Panorama' which they had recommended. Rocamadour itself was amazing - the views on the walk down were breath-taking and the basilica and the town were fascinating. We did, however, have to get the lift back!

Great place to stay we used it as a base for a 7 day holiday, it is in a very good situation at the top of Rocamador. good breakfast (worth the extra) - all the usual - croissants, breads, cakes, cheese, meats, scrambled egg & bacon, cereal, fruit (dried & fresh) even Earl Grey Tea available! Walk along the top to the Chateaux to eat or walk the other way for more restaurants + shops, or walk / take lift down to the main town (We walked every time) warning if you need the lift it stops early - check! nice garden, seating areas and pool, drinks available - but not alcohol. Owners cannot do enough to help you have a great stay, they can speak very good English, we would visit again, Rocamador is well worth a visit.

A Pleasant Surprise

A friendly welcome from a warm and congenial staff. The owners are delightful and went out of their way to recommend local sites and stores. The restaurant was fabulous, a superb menu gourmande, and a reasonably priced wine list. The village is a wonderful entry point into the Parc Regionale de Vulcans d'Auvergne and the hotel was a comfortable respite aftera day spent driving, walking, & climbing through this wonderful natural setting.

pleasant hotel with excellant location

there is parking (which seems rare in Rocamadour), it's in walking distance from the great vistas onto Rocamadour old city as well as from a nice grocery shop. The two paths to walk down into Rocamadour are conveniently outside their back door. The rooms are pleasent and clean. The staff is very helpfull, with pretty good english. During our walks in Rocamadour, we saw the various hotels and their location - very hard accessibility - and were very happy with our choice.

Lovely modern hotel in a quiet area of Rocamandour Fr. Our room was on the
first floor and it was the largest we have had in Europe. The owner/ receptionist worked very hard for 1 hour to help my husband to deal with a problem with Hertz regarding our car.The rooms had good air, blackout drapes, a private patio and lovely pool area. The place was truly immaculate by US standards...no smell of smoke etc.You can park your car right by the front door .All in all a very good stay! Would recommend highly.

So close to the Basilica and villiage.....

Based on reviews we chose to stay at Les Esclargies for our trip to Rocamadour. We stayed just the one night and it was great! The room was large with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on, the wifi was fast and the breakfast was really good .... but it is the staff and location that really made our stay. Martine was a lovely host who was very gracious about our complete lack of French. She recommended a place for dinner and gave directions to the Basilica and medieval village below ... the path for which is just out the back gate! In just 15 mins (on foot) we were at the Basilica. It's a relatively easy walk and I highly recommend it.

For anyone visiting Rocamadour I highly recommend Les Esclargies!

Walking distance to Rocamadour, excellent view/ photo location for the city. Hotel located in a park like setting, very soothing. Lots parking on site, good clean room, very nice breakfast. A bit of drive to visit Sarlat area, but on beautiful country roads. There are some excellent restaurants nearby. Bathroom amenities can use some improvement. We have the solid soap on the first day, they took it after cleaning, did not refill another one for the next 2 days. Overall excellent stay!

The hoteli orhe overall was very pleasant, the staff very courteous, the only trouble was the hotel location when you are not driving your own vehicle is that after 7:00 pm you can not get to the town of Roccamadour or viceversa, as the only way to get to it is by an elevator tht closes at ,7:00 pm.

A good hotel with some limitations

A modern and pleasant hotel. Only room and breakfast are provided. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, but a good selection of food was available and well presented. The room was compact, but with full en-suite facilities. It was a pity that there were no comfortable chairs, but there was a lounge that guests could use. We were staying in March, and not a lot was open in Rocamadour, but it was possible to find an evening meal in other places. Hot drinks were available when reception was open, but not when it was closed. There should be facilities for guests to access hot drinks when reception was closed. We found it a good place to stay and would have no hesitation recommending it to others, despite the limitations mentioned.

A Tranquil Oasis

This hotel is a quiet tranquil oasis in the midst of the tourist hustle of Rocamadour. Surrounded by shady trees, it is only minutes to walk to the village, to the vista points, or to the access paths down the rock face. The hotel decor is stylish and relaxing, the rooms comfortable and spotless, the breakfast has a wide choice of food. This is an ideal spot for sightseeing, or for just sitting and relaxing.

THis hotel is modern and located in a wonderful park setting just a few minutes walk away from the center of town. At the time we were there there was a cheese festival on. The hotel was full as was the town of Rocamadour but you would never know it by how quiet the hotel and the surroundings were.

Although it is a newer hotel it feels more like an inn. The manager (lady who seems to do everything) was very pleasant and accomodating with our requests. The rooms were comfortable. Just never enough pillows! The breakfast was the best we had in our entire two and a half weeks in France. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent - a super choice

This hotel is contemporary in design and layout, but certainly not lacking in comforts. Beautiful decoration in natural colours with quality accessories.
The welcome was warm and friendly and we were shown to our room. Free internet, lots of guides and questions answered by the staff made it an 'easy' stay.
There is good car parking but no lift we could see, although I am sure help with cases would be offered.
A good buffet breakfast is available, if a little pricey, but no evening dining room so you will need to eat in the town (5 mins drive, 10 mins walk down a twisty hill with fantastic views).
Although this hotel is not in town it really is very close, and infact probably better for being slightly outside as the one main street in Rocamadour is very touristy - certainly best seen in the evening. Highly recomended, and having seen the other hotels I would say one of the better opions.

Agencement de l'hôtel très agréable dans un grand parc qui donne sur une magnifique promenade et l'accès au sanctuaire... parking aisé (un plan incliné pourrait être le bienvenu, cependant), chambre standard fonctionnelle, claire et calme...

Idéalement situé et très agréable

Ravis du séjour même s'il fut bref. L'hôtel est idéalement situé et au calme. Outre le charme extérieur, l'intérieur de l'hôtel était très agréable. Un lieu à révoir lors d'un prochain séjour.

Cette hôtel est vraiment un hôtel de charme, situé dans un joli jardin arboré au calme, à 100 m du château de Rocamadour. L’hôtel dispose de belles chambres propres et bien équipées, et d’une piscine bien agréable par forte chaleur. L’accueil est irréprochable et le petit déjeuner continental très bon. Le rapport qualité-prix et les prestations de standing en font un hôtel incontournable, à recommander.

Bel hôtel familial, superbe jardin-parc avec de nombreux arbres. Hôtel decoré avec bon goût. Excellent petit déjeuner. Proche de la grotte des merveilles et citadelle de Rocamadour - citadelle et sanctuaires accessibles à pied depuis l’hôtel

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour de 5 nuits dans cet établissement tout y est parfait calme,accès à pied au sanctuaire et commerces de rocamadour,pour manger le soir tout se fait à pied également les restaurants sont à proximité de l’hôtel entre 200 et 700 m pas besoin de prendre la voiture.L’hôtel est en dehors des bruits de tout les jours on n’entend que les oiseaux 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛Nous reviendrons si nous sommes dans les parages merci beaucoup

Pour 1 seule nuit, hors saison, mais accueil très chaleureux et petit déjeuner royal. La chambre assez spacieuse, le lit très confortable, nous avons profité pour prendre un bain chaud. Très calme et avec jardin qui serait parfait pour les enfants.

Hôtel très bien tenu, confortable et très propre. La
Piscine est des plus agréable. Il est juste dommage que les cocktails ne soient pas à la hauteur du standing de l’hôtel: uniquement deux cocktails, aucun « classique « Mojito ou Sunrise par exemple, c’est dommage. Le cocktail du Château est bon mais est servi dans un simple verre à vin, sans déco, fruit, petit parasol de papier ou autre; une paille en pâte consommable oui mais…. Mais je recommande vraiment cet hôtel, situé au pied de la cité qui offre un cadre de vie absolument magnifique. À faire 😊

Leuke ligging. Ver genoeg van de drukte en toch dichtbij om direct te stad te verkennen. Jammer dat er geen dinermogelijkheid is. Dit vangen ze op door onmiddellijk de nabijgelegen eetgelegenheden voor te stellen. Goed ontbijt. Aangename ligweide met zwembad.
