We arrived on a Friday night. It’s busy with many people checking in. Saturday morning the in room coffee pot doesn’t work. We tried to call the front desk but the phone doesn’t work. Then we walk downstairs to get coffee and the convenience store inside the hotel is being renovated. So we go to the restaurant. Manager seems annoyed that we want some coffee to go. Then we walk downstairs to the beach to get our spot set up. One of the reasons we stay here is because they have umbrellas and chairs and towels for hotel guests. We get down there and are told at 9am there are no more chairs umbrellas or towels. Ok then. So we decide to go buy some stuff. On the way back thru the hotel I hear a guest mention there is no hot water in the building. When we asked we were told no hot water until Monday! I’m fairly certain they let us check in knowing there was no hot water. We left the hotel and went somewhere else. They only offered us half off our stay. As i was checking out they continued to check people in knowing full well there was no hot water. Never staying here again. It’s a shame because i have stayed here many times over the years

Would be an awesome place at full operation. Water and construction limitation issues are significant and seems hotel was not ready for full operational for guests. Staff was great but unfortunately and understandably overwhelmed and should be commended for having to deal with such issues.

Two great restaurants and great beach concierge, but hotel maintenance is subpar . No internet for 3 days , no hot water Father’s Day weekend, no working ice machines , hole in bathroom ceiling, must request housekeeping if you want it . Super overpriced for poorly maintained property. Undergoing repairs. Marriott did reduce price of stay at checkout for lack of basic amenities. Do better Marriott

We stayed there when there was a 4 day issue with no hot water, so we basically had to take cold showers for the duration of our stay. The issue was known before we arrived, but we weren’t told until we arrived. The booking was deceiving as it mentioned “Beach front” view and balcony, but it ended up being g a partial view from the side of the building, and barely enough room to stand on a partial balcony. Also, the rooms didn’t include microwaves! I’ve never experienced that. So we had no way to warm up food! The booking mentioned this was a Marriott property, but I later found out that Marriott had nothing to do with the management of the hotel. There are some nice amenities here, including the bar and restaurant; but we couldn’t take advantage of them much during our stay as the water situation shut them down. Keep in mind this entire hotel does not have a full ocean view because of its position on the beachfront. Only partial views at best! If you’re looking for a full balcony and ocean view, you won’t find it here.

Also 21$ a night to park on top of $300 a night. Very poor! A lot of money for nothing. Staff was nice but not easy to understand due to language barrier. Will never go back! Good Luck

The hotel is a good hotel clean room , well located with polite staff, convenient at the beach w chairs, towels, umbrella. Beach bar with a delicious salad. My only huge concern is the hotel didn’t have hot water; no one communicated before/ on check in . The problem didn’t fix for the 2 nights we stayed.

Had a one night stay at this establishment, it looked like a nice hotel from the outside. Once I got to my room there were lights not working, there was no body wash in dispensers, no towels, or wash cloth, the AC was busted and the cleaning staff came to room 2 hours before check out trying to clean saying we had to leave, when I told them check out is 11. This stay spoiled entire night.

I don't usually rate a hotel this poorly; I try to focus on the positive aspects, but this time it wasn't possible.
The floor wasn't clean.
The bar fridge wasn't cleaned either.
There was no Wi-Fi service, or at least we weren't given any.
Hot water could only be used on the first day.
The elevators are extremely slow, and when one stopped, we couldn't use it because it was full.
The stay was very uncomfortable because there were many construction workers at the hotel who also used the elevator.
They offer a sea view, but initially, you are assigned a room that looks out only onto the air conditioning units.
The strangest thing—and I believe this is a huge mistake on the part of Hotels.com—is that they indicate the hotel includes breakfast, yet customer service later claims it doesn't; you have to pay for it, and you have to dig deep into the hotel's specifications to realize that—so, in a way, it was my mistake for believing breakfast was included. Another reason the Hotels.com representative gave me was that the \"breakfast included\" criterion is merely a suggestion. From now on, Hotels.com has lost all credibility with me.

Hotel is recently and very nicely renovated, the rooms are basically brand new. Location is perfect, right in the beach. Staff will set up and umbrella and beach chair for you as part of the amenities. Great all around.

This was not the best stay we had here. Room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. I had to call for clean towels (3 times till they came). Fitness Center and Ashore things (the grab and go place) wasn’t open which was an inconvenience. We did eat at the hotel twice and it was fine, but honestly underwhelmed by both the food and the service.

Staying at Ashore was an overall good experience. The staff was fantastic, kind, and helpful. I love that umbrellas and chairs were free to use. Of course the resort is under construction so some things were inconvenient. Our air conditioner wasnt working and although maintenance did spend some time on the unit it was noisy for sleeping. I wish there would have been a coffee, bagel, breakfast sandwich place in the hotel. There is an excellant restaurant but too heavy for us for breakfast. The food from the outside bar area was excellant and the waiters on the beach were fun and reliable. I enjoyed speakimg with the staff. Overall good stay we will.come back and hope it is better next time without construction.

I understand that the facilities were under renovations, but that’s something that should’ve been advertised at the time of purchasing the reservation and unfortunately, I was charged twice for my stay. I originally made the reservations. via Expedia and then was charged again at the end of my stay without any kind of compensation for my temporary loss I put my trust in the facility due to the fact that it is a partnering hotel with Marriot and I only stay at Marriott associated facilities I hope that something like this doesn’t reoccur considering today’s economy. A double charge of such amount could affect someone’s financial situation in a serious way. But besides that the staff were great and the facilities were super comfortable.

The room we booked had a partial ocean view which was very nice and also had a view of the street which was great because it was car weekend. it was nice to see the cars some pretty cool ones driving around. I drove all the way to Ocean City Maryland only to be disappointed that the room that I payed for wasn’t available after payed extra money to secure the room . It’s very nice. The oceanfront restaurant is under renovation. Room was clean. Tiny balcony big enough for one person to stand on allowed view of ocean or bay. I felt very comfortable as a solo traveler. Front desk folks were top notch. I would stay there again.

Most everything was well above standard. However, the A/C in my room was very \"clangy\" and loud and cost me a good night's sleep. And, there was a used vape unit on the roof directly outside my window, which was a bit unsightly. Other than those things, the staff were very nice and helpful, and the facility is beautiful.

Stayed for the Oceans Calling fest. Loved how the resort is on a more private beach in a quieter area while still only a fairly quick Uber or drive to the boardwalk. Nice pool and jacuzzi with views of both the Ocean and bay from our hotel terrace. Room was comfy and loved the bar and restaurant within the hotel. 5 stars 10/10

One of the rooms the wood floor was waxed and i slipped when entering the room, didnt even send security or medical attention to check in on me. Asked simply for fresh towels to my room since they didn’t service it all day for one of the days i was there and they never sent the towels. Girls at the check in desk we not friendly, rolled their eyes to any request needed and still wouldn’t complete the task. Will never stay here again, no customer service and did not feel welcome

The property has such great potential but it really needs a good top to bottom cleaning. Our fitted sheet had a tear in it which you wouldn’t expect.
Having restaurants onsite was a great advantage.
I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless I knew they dealt with the cleanliness issues.

We stayed at this hotel and I am rating this hotel 1 star. When we initially booked this hotel, we were under the impression that this was a brand new hotel (didn’t do our research). It is a new hotel, but the building is definitely older and you can see that it is an older building from both outside and inside the building. I will also say the pictures from the website definitely do not reflect the actual room experience. The floor was very dirty, and just walking a couple seconds barefoot, you would notice the bottom of your feet were covered black. I will say the bathroom was very clean however.

The most frustrating part of this hotel is definitely the elevator experience. There are only three elevators for the entire building. This includes the elevator that the staff uses. The elevators are very small and even with all three elevators functioning properly, there is always a decent wait time. On our check out day, the worst happened, and 2 of the 3 elevators were down. Only one elevator was working and it was an absolute disaster. If you were lucky, it would be about an hour wait to get on an elevator. Then once you were on the elevator, it would stop at every floor with crowds of people waiting. It got bad where the stuff were jumping on the elevator before customers. It forced me to carry my belongings to include a stroller and two young children down 9 flights of very steep and not very wide steps. The process took over 2 hours.

I won’t be returning to this hotel.

Awesome updates done on this property, but feels like it could be a facelift not a renovation. The food and service were great. A side ocean view from our 2 balconies (neither large enough to sit on) was nice but I’d rather a full balcony and view. Our room with a separate bedroom and pull out sofa felt large enough for a week without being on top of one another. Included parking pass and lot were a bonus - we never had trouble finding a spot which was good because it sometimes felt a little sketchy outside on the street.

My gripes include:
- The rooms on the north side, confirmed by two room visits, sloped oddly towards the balconies about two feet from the edge… which was strange.
- There’s only ice on a few of the floors, not every floor and of course… everyone wants ice when they’re at the beach, so many of the machines were not working when we were there.
- Getting an elevator at busy times was next to impossible. People going up and down for ice and only 2 running consistently that week.

Overall we would return but I’ll be anxious to see how it holds up!
