A spontaneous stay just because we didn't feel like driving home in the dark winter night after attending the Christmas lights at Upper Canada Village.

Great decision that made for a wonderful weekend! Property showed pride of care throughout, and the warmth of the staff both in the lobby and at Mac's pub made us feel like we'd walked into a Christmas movie.

The impact of this type of welcoming reception cannot be understated- It has become a true luxury to encounter individuals for whom hospitality is a career to be taken seriously and not just an income source. The folks at McIntosh Inn are a shining example everyone should experience. We are already planning a Summer return when the pool is open, and hopefully attending the Christmas lights again next year with our whole brood of grandchildren.

Thanks to everyone for a memorable Anniversary weekend!

The property was definitely older but had a lot of charm. The room was equipped with a small bar fridge, TV and a desk. There was a small dresser, space to hang clothes, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was quite small but worked.

The restaurant was great and we really enjoyed the Saturday night prime rib buffet. The outdoor pool was closed but the indoor hot tub and sauna were nice and hot after being caught out in a snow storm.

Special shoutout to Patty who was absolutely wonderful!

Unexpected Hidden Gem!!!

McIntosh Country Inn was surprisingly amazing and a real hidden gem. The staff were so friendly and accommodating especially the gentleman that fulfilled my request for a quiet and private space for a meeting in the evening I could not take from my room. Also, the riverfront park and walkways are an incredible way to experience a gorgeous portion of the magnificent and historical St. Lawrence River. This was actually a huge surprise for us and a real unexpected treat in the community. The restaurant was also superb with a great and cheap - that’s right cheap - happy hour with $5/$6 pints of beer and the best liver and onion dinner I’ve ever had. And nope I’m not a senior, just love it!

Loved this hotel. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We are travelling with a cat and they welcomed him like one of the family.
The decor is very nice. They have a lovely sitting area in the lobby. That is very comfy and the pub and restaurant is just across from the check in counter

the staff was very friendly and helpful but the building is old and needs work, the windows are old and the air conditioner was old and noisy. the bathroom was clean but there was a sour smell that was off putting. The restaurant was only open for the buffet and we had to eat in the noisy bar area, when we were tired and just wanted a quiet meal.

Good choice when in Morrisburg.

Very nice Inn near Upper Canada Village. Cllean, comfortable room with comfortable beds and good wifi. Excellent food at the restaurant with a large selection of dishes to choose from. The only issue is that the restaurant isn't open for breakfast. We would stay here again.

The cleaning lady started vacuuming at 7 in the morning and didn’t stop although it was Sunday. The heater was so loud we had to get up and turn it off.
The room was in the lower level and had a musty smell.

When booked through Expedia, it shows the breakfast is included. So does the sauna. But the staff at the scene said there is no breakfast and no sauna because it is holiday time. The date is specified during booking so it is a problem between Expedia and the hotel. As a customer, I do feel cheated somehow for this false advertising. A reasonable financial compensation is encouraged to remain the the trust of me in Expedia.

This hotel is basically the only one in the area. Room price at $145.00 was reasonable FOOD TERRIBLY EXPENSIVE. Fish & Chips $25.00 (one piece) Caesar wrap - $23.00, Fr. Fries $10.00 - gravy $2.50 - its almost as though they double what other places charge

Over priced & Outdated

Upon arrival, window was open so room was freezing. We cranked the heat up to 80F so that the room would be warm when we returned late at night BUT nothing happened, still cold room. The carpet didn’t appear to be vacuumed as we found Tum’s & a Gravol Pill wrapper beside the bed closest to the window & an old French fry behind the arm chair. The fridge is so tiny, we had to lay our wine bottles flat. The conditioner was half used. The room needs updating, old furniture & ugly bedspreads.
Restaurant food & service was good. $200/night is TOO expensive for this room.
Website says outdoor heated pool open until October…was closed even though awesome weather

This is an older hotel. It has an interesting layout, took a bit to get oriented. Unique comfortable decor. Room was very quiet. I slept with the window open. No outside noise. Bed was comfortable. The pillows were awful. Didn't run ac so no idea. Bathroom was very small. Functional is kind. But clean. Everything was clean if aged. Restaurant was very good. Needed reservations for prime rib buffet but was available through the regular dining room which wasn't busy. All staff members were great. Friendly and helpful. Good for a overnight stay. No complaints
