The owner of this motel cooked scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon.
Bananas, apples, bagels(plain and chocolate chip versions), plain breads, cereals, and oatmeal were self-service. There were also butter, cream cheese, ketchup, and other kinds of jams and peanut butter.
Regarding drinks, orange (not 100%; sugar added) juice, milk, hot/ cold water, coffee, and maybe tea were available.

The owner was a cheerful Chinese man.
The room we stayed in was large enough for two, but the air conditioning wasn't working sufficiently.
We had to sleep in a very cold room.

Even if customers stayed for just two nights, it seemed that they cleaned every room every day.

However, overall, we were satisfied with the total quality and its cost performance.

On check-in, office staff informed us all restaurants in Cavendish were closed for the season (it was Oct 6). We were told the nearest places with open restaurants were Charlottetown or Summerside, both about 40 minutes away. However, with a bit of research and talking to the right people, we learned a very good restaurant was open just 10 min away in North Rustico. We had specifically asked about North Rustico, but were told there were no open restaurants there.

We enjoyed our stay for an overnight. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and nice. The best part was the welcome from the owner. Made sure we were comfortable and showed us to our room and made sure we knew how to works keys etc.

It was quite nice and cozy. Staffs are very good. National Park are very near to the hotel. But the only suggestion is to provide micro wave oven in each room. Visitors from different provinces visit and they bring food. Therefore, its better to have microwave oven so that visitors do not need to rush to Ice maker machine room to warm food in the middle of the night. Other than this everything is good.

Motel is not luxury accommodation, which is good. We wanted something clean, comfortable and conveniently located, and this place met all 3 criteria nicely. Staff were helpful and friendly, room clean with decent amenities, free breakfast was nice touch. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Our room was very spacious, clean, quiet, mini fridge and a comfortable bed. It came with a full breakfast the next morning. The front desk lady and the cook were very friendly. There are bbqs for guests to use. Lots of parking. Close to all amenities in the on season.

Be aware this is a very rundown property. There is literally two lightbulbs in the entire room and they are over the beds. It actually kind of creeped me out. But they did allow us to do laundry. For free! They do have a hot breakfast in the morning. I guess you get what you pay for.

I have to say, my husband and I enjoyed our 1 week stay. The staff were wonderful ! We had a lovely 2 bed unit, with nice beds, and small fridge. It was clean and tidy. My only thing that was wrong with this place, as it had such a tiny, small bathroom door, bathroom itself was tiny, it made it so frustrating to get in and out with my walker. Even if you didn't have a walker, you'd likely find it tiny. The other thing was there was no microwave in our unit which we found extremely disappointing! We were led to believe that they could supply us with one upon arrival. Also for me ,it was kind of awkward to go to the free breakfast, as it was in a different building than ours, and I am not able to walk very far because of my disabili ty, which was disappointing. I tried it the 1st morning that we were there. The hot breakfast was lovely, and I would've enjoyed it each morning, but after the 1st morning, I didn't bother going as it was too much for me with a bad back and 2 broken legs. For the majority of people wanting to stay here, with no disabilities, it would likely be great for you. It was great that we had a Tim Hortons and convenience store across the road from us, that my husband could walk to, along with a Captain Kidd's dairy bar and take-out meals. We also enjoyed the Canadian Chinese food at the \" Boardwok \" , infact we dined there twice. It was so good!

You pay a premium for the location. It is an older style 2 storey motel with outside entrances to the room. The rooms are clean and tidy but dated.

The staff are friendly and enthusiastic! Breakfast is included.

We had a kitchen unity. There was no hot water in the kitchen. Bathroom had warm water. Staff overlooked the condition of the unit. The unit we were in definitely requires work to make it up to at least standard requirements.

The website said ALL of the rooms in the main building were recently renovated, which was not true. Our room was very old and so was the bed and furniture in it. Also, we were hoping to swim in the pool but it was so cloudy that you couldn't even see to the bottom, so we didn't swim. As well, almost all of the lawn chairs at the pool were ripped and old. It could be a nice motel but needs an upgrade.

I would give it a 6 if I could. The place is spotless and updated. Bed very comfortable. The AC works great. I loved the pool after a long day on the motorcycle. I walked down to the look off (15 minutes) after dinner at the pub next door and took in the sunset. The breakfast staff is highly professional and friendly. In a world of very few good deals left, The Cavendish Motel is exactly that.

Its needs some upkeep. The decking all around seems soft. The pool was dirty. The linens needed replacing. The guy running the breakfast was awesome, so cheerful first thing in the morning. Food was ok, nice to get free breakfast. It was supposed to have laundry facilities but it didn't.

We stayed in the annex. Cottage was small but comfortable and clean, minus a few earwigs by the door as we were leaving. Staff was supreme, very friendly. Breakfast was nice and welcoming. And is convenient for all the tourist activities.
Our first night was excellent, second night our “neighbors “ were very noisy. Thumping and banging most of the night. But all in all, would stay again.

This cute place 10 minutes from Cavendish Beach, next to a Tim Hortons and the Lost Anchor restaurant, it was clean, comfortable and felt like PEI.
A hot breakfast was served by a high energy gentleman who was as efficient as he was friendly.
The newly renovated pool was warm and had comfortable lounge chairs. The staff were very accommodating and we would happily stay there again.

We stayed here last week. The stay was very disappointing. The property run down and the steps and balcony felt very soft and unsafe . The bathroom had “warm water “ , definitely not hot, the AC unit was old and filthy. The “ heated pool” as advertised was too cold to swim in and the price was absolutely over what it should have been !

We were checked in quickly and efficiently. The walkway on the upper floor was rickety and it doesn’t feel like it would pass any structural integrity inspections.
Every towel had a mysterious stain, the beds had hair in them.
Not our hair.

The pool was warm but the ladder was crooked and didn’t inspire confidence.
The kitchen staff were smiley and friendly despite the breakfast being unappetizing.
I wish I hadn’t spent over $200/night to sleep here for two nights. But maybe that’s just what it costs to stay in a touristy PEI town in August.

Location can’t be beat for activities and beach. I would come back to cavendish in a heartbeat. I would not stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay—the location was fantastic and close to everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable, which we truly appreciated. The only downside was the breakfast. The portions were quite small, and the food wasn’t as tasty as we had hoped. With three teenagers, we still had to purchase breakfast elsewhere afterwards. It would be wonderful if the breakfast options and serving sizes could be improved, as everything else about the stay was great.
