We had a seaside room with a nice view. The room was spacious; the bed and linens comfortable. The restaurant was fabulous. The best fish soup ever!. The staff was very helpful and made sure that we had new seating at each meal. Breakfast fantastic. We're going to figure out how to come back here.

On the Isle of Skye... if you drive to almost the end of the island... you find this hotel on the side of a hill overlooking a beautiful bay.
The hotel had its own restaurant and pub ... which make the stay perfect. You can park and enjoy yourself. I walked to the end of the road (to the ferry launch) and back in 30 minute walk.
It feels like the end of the world and the most beautiful.

Uig Hotel was excellent. We had a lodge room on the first floor. It had a very large window so you can make the most of the amazing view
The staff were great, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had our dog with us so ate breakfast and dinner in the bar. The food was really good -with a good selection of fresh sea food.

The perfect base camp on Skye. Exactly what we wanted for our stay. Walking distance to the Fairy Glen, RHA falls, and the port as well as a quick drive into Portree if you want to go into actual town. Not to mention the stunning view from our room. The staff is amazingly helpful and I can’t say enough good things about the restaurant.

The hotel itself is very underwhelming and completely unaccommodating.
Clean but bare bones. No AC. Few amenities. Very dated room. One electrical outlet and a simple tub bathroom. Wifi is not offered in rooms. Paper thin walls. Bed was quite worn and clearly in need of a refresh.
Nice view of the bay from a very small window.

The restaurant- our first night here they were out of almost every item we ordered. Drinks were very limited. Out of stout. No passionfruit for the martini they featured on their menu. No whisky as advertised for their old fashioned. No fish for one of the mains. We settled for fried Haddock and chips and the fry came burned. The next day we asked to order a starter of mussels to snack on and we were told it was not possible without a reservation (and they were completely booked).

Also worth a mention but no fault of the hotel- the main road to and from Portree from Uig was completely closed for construction after 7pm. We could not visit the town for evening pubs or dinner options. Again not the fault of the hotel but super inconvenient given the supply shortage at the hotel bar.

If the hotel was inexpensive, i'd be more forgiving but it was quite pricey for the inadequate value offered.

With a room price of over $400 for one night, unfortunately, I was expecting more than just a standard hotel. No real greeting. The room was no better with no more amenities that we had received at any other bed-and-breakfast for a quarter of the price. Many we stayed at were top notch and did not cost 1/3 as much. The only thing redeemable about the breakfast was the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The plate was beautiful and it was delicious. The help yourself area had nonexistent, fresh fruit, yogurt basically only a selection of bread and jams left a lot to be desired. This is what I would expect from a property charging $125 a night. It is not even tourist season yet...do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else,

I don’t know where to begin. What a beautiful, beautiful spot. Check in was easy and quick. The staff were so kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were housed in a joining room which was perfect for our family of 4. Our favourite part was the food. We booked a reservation for the night of our arrival. The Mac and cheese on the kids menu was the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had (of course I had to eat some of our kids’ meals lol). The beds were exceptionally comfortable! We were blown away by the breakfast - complementary to your stay and it was phenomenal. I didn’t realize it was part of our stay so I was quite shocked when we didn’t have to pay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying on the Isle of Skye. It’s a perfect spot to stay if you’re doing a northern Skye loop (old man of Storr, kilt rock, quiraing etc). This definitely is more than a 3 star hotel in my opinion! I’d choose a spot like this over a Sheraton any day.

We stayed in double adjoining rooms and the unit was clean and spacious. Luckily there were tabletop fans to cool down while sleeping. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean but did not have a bathtub, which would have made my stay more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Comfortable hotel just out of town though quite a walk up a hill. Room was large and comfortable. Meals were slow in coming after ordering. The second morning we had a days travel ahead of us and thought we’d get to breakfast 10 minutes early but were not allowed to order until 8.00. We were told there was only 1 cook on but could see things were VERY slow so ended up only ordering scrambled eggs thinking it would be quick - still very slow.

I read good things about this excellent hotel, and I'm glad we stayed there, the receptionist / manager is Elena, and she is very friendly, smart, and enjoyable to talk with.
Location is very nice, and it's quiet.
Beautiful views over the ocean, so be sure to spend a bit extra and get a room with an ocean view.
The nearby golf course is really a pretty and challenging but fun course, so check that out too.

The hotel is overpriced for the condition of the room. The bed was comfortable, but some pieces of the furniture were covered with paper that was peeling off. The side panel of the tub was loose and caving in. The view from my room window was of the hotel dumpster which was not hidden from sight. The hotel decor was basic and outdated.

The highlight of my stay was the food at the hotel restaurant. I highly recommend the mussels which were cooked perfectly and excellent. The fish and chips was also very good.

On site parking was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included a freshly cooked meal. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality. This hotel is in a convenient location for visiting Isle of Skye and we enjoyed our stay here. I do think it is a little over priced though.

The Uig Hotel was such a treat! Great view from its perch above the harbor, you could watch the ferry come and go from port. The meal in the dining room was wonderful as was the hearty breakfast in the morning.
