Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and accommodating to me and my pup. The breakfast options and the food options at dinner are great and the food is amazing. The view from the hotel is incredible. I highly recommend and will stay here again when I’m back in Skye.

I don’t know where to begin. What a beautiful, beautiful spot. Check in was easy and quick. The staff were so kind. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were housed in a joining room which was perfect for our family of 4. Our favourite part was the food. We booked a reservation for the night of our arrival. The Mac and cheese on the kids menu was the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had (of course I had to eat some of our kids’ meals lol). The beds were exceptionally comfortable! We were blown away by the breakfast - complementary to your stay and it was phenomenal. I didn’t realize it was part of our stay so I was quite shocked when we didn’t have to pay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying on the Isle of Skye. It’s a perfect spot to stay if you’re doing a northern Skye loop (old man of Storr, kilt rock, quiraing etc). This definitely is more than a 3 star hotel in my opinion! I’d choose a spot like this over a Sheraton any day.

We stayed in double adjoining rooms and the unit was clean and spacious. Luckily there were tabletop fans to cool down while sleeping. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean but did not have a bathtub, which would have made my stay more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was nice with a warm cozy vibe. Easy and convenient parking. Close to the ferry.

While our visit was cut short due to a storm, Uig Hotel was a perfect home base to explore Skye. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. There isn’t a lot directly around the hotel but it’s a quick drive to Portree and the 5 minute drive to the Fairy Glen was perfect.

Leave plenty of time to eat.

Comfortable hotel just out of town though quite a walk up a hill. Room was large and comfortable. Meals were slow in coming after ordering. The second morning we had a days travel ahead of us and thought we’d get to breakfast 10 minutes early but were not allowed to order until 8.00. We were told there was only 1 cook on but could see things were VERY slow so ended up only ordering scrambled eggs thinking it would be quick - still very slow.

Lovely stay on the coast

My partner and I had a great night at the Uig hotel on our tour of Scotland. They called ahead to make sure we were set for dinner, offered tons of great suggestions for exploring the area and was the best host I've interacted with in a while. Marie was great to work with! I read good things about this excellent hotel, and I'm glad we stayed there, the receptionist / manager is Elena, and she is very friendly, smart, and enjoyable to talk with.
Location is very nice, and it's quiet.
Beautiful views over the ocean, so be sure to spend a bit extra and get a room with an ocean view.
The nearby golf course is really a pretty and challenging but fun course, so check that out too.

The hotel is overpriced for the condition of the room. The bed was comfortable, but some pieces of the furniture were covered with paper that was peeling off. The side panel of the tub was loose and caving in. The view from my room window was of the hotel dumpster which was not hidden from sight. The hotel decor was basic and outdated.

The highlight of my stay was the food at the hotel restaurant. I highly recommend the mussels which were cooked perfectly and excellent. The fish and chips was also very good.

Stayed 2 nights in a double room in Uig lodge. Very nice room, spacious with a large window and fantastic view. However the room did not have a fridge which I expected for the price. On site parking was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included a freshly cooked meal. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality. This hotel is in a convenient location for visiting Isle of Skye and we enjoyed our stay here. I do think it is a little over priced though.

The Uig Hotel was such a treat! Great view from its perch above the harbor, you could watch the ferry come and go from port. The meal in the dining room was wonderful as was the hearty breakfast in the morning. Staff were fantastic communicators from Isle of Skye to the U.S. when I had questions they emailed immediately back with responses. So friendly. Really great stay!

The rooms were comfortable, spacious and have a beautiful view! The wait staff in the dining room actively avoid eye contact with you to avoid giving you any service. It happened in the morning as well as night. We decided not to eat dinner there, other than the first night, because we literally could not get anybody to come to our table. Really too bad.

We stayed in The Lodge portion behind the main hotel building. Food was GREAT, as were the bar selections. Staff are all very nice, super helpful. Easy checkin, easy parking. Great for Quiraing. Downsides: room was very hot and while windows opened, no screens, floor creaked/snapped/popped loudly in bathroom (on 2nd floor), and other guests coming and going at night kept us awake until quite late. Great views from room.

We love the location of this property because it’s close to the port of Uig , ready for our sail.We think that the property is extremely well looked after and the staff are professional yet so friendly and helpful.The food is amazing and we would recommend guests eat here.We have stayed in the main building before and it was great,lovely and peaceful.The only downside this visit was that in the suite we had the pipes for the water etc and heating were expanding and it was really annoying to hear these creak all night,other than that it was a great stay as usual.

The single rooms are really tiny - about the size of a single college dorm room. Single bed, with very little room around it.

Biggest problem - there is no elevator, so you have to haul your luggage up the stairs to the 2nd or 3rd floor. Helped one set of women with their luggage. When I offered to the same for another, she wisely determined that, at age 67, I might keel over and decided to struggle though herself!

Excellent food at the hotel. Any other restaurants are a fair drive away.
