What was nicer than most quality inn choice owns them This is. Why if you have small children that I like to swim and has a beautiful pool in a hot tub and it’s all wood high ceilings it’s actually a very unique hotel and right next to it is a Bob Evans with walkway a to get there. Check out the Bench out back wildlife …. It’s nice hotel

Great place for a stay in Athens! Did not try the breakfast but the pool and hot tub were nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet room with convenient parking right outside. Stayed with family for the Nelsonville Music Festival and will definitely stay here again!

Our room was ready when we checked in, always a plus. The employee who checked us in was very friendly and showed us on a map the best place to park. Our room had a bit of a smell to it, a lot like a pool room - not dirty or musty, just not fresh and crisp. We didn’t swim but the pool looked really nice and well kept. Breakfast each day was pretty good, waffles, a breakfast meat, scrambled eggs, selection of breads, yogurts, hot and cold cereals. The tv was older and it glitched on the sound every 30 seconds and we ran out of shampoo the first evening, so it hadn’t been filled prior to our check in. Super convenient location to everything we needed (restaurants, grocery stores, Hocking Hills, Columbus) and had a great sized fridge and a microwave. All staff we encountered were friendly, ice machine in working order, laundry facility and gym were nice as well.

Parking lot seemed to have a lot of garbage scattered around in the morning. And, not the hotel's fault, but someone's car alarm went off in the middle of the night right outside our room, which was highly unpleasant. Room was fine. We didn't use the amenities like pool and hot tub.

Me and the wife stayed for one night and upon check in our cards didn’t work for the outside doors. The staff at the desk was great went the extra mile to get our rooms switched and new cards. The rooms were very clean. The private jetted tub was also very clean. The pool and hot tub were very clean and perfect temperature.

My room had holes in the curtains.I had to go to the attendant to get needles and safety pins to pin my curtains shut because they were broken. There were also holes in the curtains.Therefore , I did not consider it blackout curtains I couldn't believe the ratings on hotel.Dot com , after I seen this and had to deal with it. Other than that my stay was great.

The room was clean The mattress was pretty worn out. The hot breakfast was a joke Waffle mix was so pasty you could barely get it to pour in the waffle maker. No eggs or meat and no one attending to the breakfast when we were there. I’m glad we only stayed one night. Will stay at the Hampton or holiday inn the next time!

Our desk top, microwave and TV stands were not wiped down. There was actually crumbs and a piece of dried up meat on the desk. The room smelled kind of like vomit when we first got there and toilet bowl had a slight ring of scum.

The check in staff asked for my credit card and then told me it didn't match the booking (because I booked through a 3rd party so it showed up as a virtual card). I showed him my card and assured him that it was the card used to book the room online. He wrote the numbers down on a sheet of paper (huge risk for fraud/scamming).

There was no elevator. The pool had no towels. When I asked the front desk for towels I received an attitude and he said they were low on towels......okay, this is not my problem and towels need to be provided. He handed me one towel. Just one.

The stairway smells musty, there was something goopy on the handrail. The flooring upstairs was awful. The plank flooring was warped and lifting in numerous places. Once in the room, we heard and felt kids running up and down the hallway playing. I waited a few minutes then had to open the door and ask them to stop because it shook the whole floor not to mention how loud they were yelling.

Breakfast the next morning was the only good thing. The waffle mix was empty but more was brought out after I asked.

Drive a little further and stay somewhere better. This one is rundown and sketchy.

The property was in poor repair. The room shook every time someone went in or out of the entrance door near my room. Garbage was all over the ground in front of the entrance door I had to go into (overflowing garbage can). People smoking pot in the entry way, the smell seeped into my room. I asked for a different room and had to pay more money.

The room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made for a positive experience overall.

That said, this is an older hotel that could really benefit from renovations. It does seem like they are making some efforts, particularly with the flooring, which is appreciated.

The pool itself was in good condition, but the hot tub appeared quite dirty. It may have been rust stains from the pipes above, but regardless, it didn’t give a clean impression. The entire pool area is in need of a full renovation.

The fitness room looked nice at first glance, but unfortunately the treadmill was not functioning properly. It would turn on, but once a speed was selected, it could not be adjusted. This is a safety concern and should be repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

With that said for an overnight stay it was very worth the price.

While they have recently renewed flooring in halls and rooms, overall general condition is average. Beds comfortable and everything worked as expected.

Being a college town with several other hotels in the area, they are average, compared to Hampton and Holiday Inn for example. In town for Ohio basketball game and while they all inflate rates when they can, the price while reasonable compared to others, still not justified. Breakfast ended at 9:30 on a weekend, prefer 10 or 10:30, especially after a late night game. It’s a room, OK, but more expensive that it should be.

Check in and parking were both easy. My husband is in a wheelchair because he just had surgery and the hotel was not very wheelchair accessible. We struggled to get into the lobby to check in and we were put in a room where our parking lot entrance had no ramp to get him in and out. I had to pick up the wheelchair onto the sidewalk, which wasn’t ideal. Other than that we had a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable, working ac and heat. There is a gym and a washer and dryer on site as well as an indoor pool (we didn’t utilize any of these)

The room was nice. Your staff was great! We have stayed there a couple of times before as we have grandkids in the area & the love using the pool.

I know you are aware of the floors & there are notices posted saying you would be fixing them soon. They can be a tripping hazard & it is a safety issue.

Not very quiet-all composite floors lot of noise bouncing off the walls. If your room is near the doors- they are self closing and slam shut, you can feel the vibration from it. I believe you can hear the doors close from one end of the hallway to the other. If you have a spa tub a 15 minute timer is annoying, pretty much ruins having it. No bathroom exhaust fan. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast is OK, they do have 24 hr. coffee and juice (orange/apple).

The staff was friendly and helpful. That’s the only positive thing I have. The beds were hard as rocks. The shower had hair in it when we got there. The pool was freezing and also had lots of hair in the drains on the pool deck. There were band aids in the hot tub. Over all bad experience. Definitely will not stay here again.

I was able to get what I needed from this stay. The room looked almost done with renovations. I enjoyed the cleanliness especially the bathroom. The room had a working microwave and fridge. I didn't watch much TV but it was available. I had a huge bed, very comfortable. In fact the room was comfortably big. In the fitness center, I used the precor treadmill. I didn't have time to try the other equipment. I didn't go to their hot breakfast but it smelled good. There's coffee in the room next to the front desk all the time. I saw that there was a washer and dryer, and vending machines. The hotel has an unusual architecture. The price was quite low so I was surprised by the quality.

A great budget hotel. It's not the Ritz, but everything works and is clean and comfortable. We even hung out in the pool and hot tub. No info on the breakfast though.
I would give it 5 stars if that damn stairwell door would ever stop squeaking!
