So nice to discover a quiet little oasis in a big city. While the rooms aren’t huge they have everything you need. We especially enjoyed the pool after a day of sightseeing, watching the colourful birds in the trees. All the staff were very helpful and we were close to the MRT. Lots of restaurant choices. Best part about this hotel is the location! Right across the street from a hawker building with delicious food and close to a bunch of restaurants and coffee shops. Plus a 7-11 is right down the block! Staff were super friendly too. You're within a short drive to all the city's sights.

We loved everything about our stay here. We received a room upgrade which was a lovely surprise. Bed and pillows great, large fluffy towels, oodles of hot water with good water pressure. Air con was first class. Complimentary bottles of water in the room, tea & coffee making facilities and small refrigerator were the icing on the cake. Highly recommend and will stay there next time we visit Singapore.

Staff very friendly, polite abd helpful printing off our boarding passes without any problem for example. Good location for walking or MRT and buses.

Just a one night stay. Location is perfect as it was just a throw's away from the Tiong Bahru Market. Room was small and ok for a night. Most importantly, it was clean.

The room was small with very limited walking area, you can practically just jump on the bed to cross to the other side of the room. There is a window but view was blocked by another building, hence not much view too. However, for the room rate (about SGD $115 after tax, there is not much to ask for. What is commendable about the room is that the things provided in the room such as towels, slippers, bed and pillows are of good quality. Generally it is a good stay if you wish to good local food all day long.

Room was very small. There was hardly any room to walk around the bed. I had to leave my luggage packed and standing up, the space was that tight.
Couple of pros ...
1. To offset the small room, the bed was nice and firm, and comforter was thick, soft, and cozy.
2. The location of the hotel can not be beat if you're looking for a \"local\" place (not super touristy like Orchard), and it's literally 50 steps from the Tiong Bahru marketplace / hawker center. Tons of food option there. Food galore.
It was a good experience to be so near the hawker center ... but I'm glad I booked another hotel with much bigger rooms.

It had old world charm in a modern way and while the rooms are on the smaller side they are laid out in such a way that they don't feel small.
Due to a late arrival we didnt check in until after midnight and we were greeted with a friendly smile and swift check in.
Tiong Bahru markets are just a stones throw away and with a bus stop out the front and an MRT within walking distance it made public transport very easy. Even if you didn't want to walk to the MRT the number 5 bus out the front will take you right to Tiong Bahru Plaza where the MRT is located.
We'll definitely be going back and we can't wait to stay there again.

My room has a window, but there is no view at all because it was entirely blocked by a huge roof of another building. I am also not comfortable with with the large portrait of a woman at the bedside, it looks a little creepy, eyes like watching you everywhere. Other than these 2 issues, all are good.

Overall speaking it was a pleasant stay. But their WiFi seems has the block-out to the connection of my company server from overseas (A kind of VPN connection) which was the first time I come across from a hotel. However, the staff was helpful even though I could not fix it in the end. The land phone in the room failed to make outside local calls. The fridge smells and needs a thorough clean up.
Highly suggested if they can install power sockets near to the bed side for mobile charging at night. Understood it may be done only when they will go through renovation in the future.
Special thanks to the room keeper young man and one of the reception ladies whom are kind and helpful, they have done a very good job in their positions.

Very clean and surprisingly quiet for being on the busy street corner. Perfect location for the hawker center right across and lots of coffee shops and bakeries around. MRT is about 5 mins away by foot. Friendly hotel staff, just a great hotel for Singapore.

Quite a decent hotel, small room but acceptable. Location is near lots of eateries hence we booked without breakfast. Suggest to take grab car to travel around as its a distant walk to the train station as I was traveling with elderly and pregnant women. Not advisable to order the room service as food quality not worth the value and price.

This hotel is wonderful, the staff are really friendly and helpful. It is in a old part of Singapore with a lot of cultural heritage and so easy to access all transport links. The rooftop pool is a hidden gem and so lovely after a busy day to chill and enjoy watching the world go by.

It's a very comfortable and relaxed place to stay in an interesting neighbourhood. Everything is easy and the food options nearby would take weeks to explore.

It's very near various eateries. There is a shopping centre 2 bus-stops away too.
The only shortcoming is the $100 deposit, which I feel is not necessary. First, it is a trouble for the guest when placing AND getting the deposit.
Second, extra paperwork and workload for the staff.

Charming boutique hotel within easy distance of Chinatown.
Liked the hotel which is otherwise set in a fairly quiet location.
The breakfast was good with a choice of American or continental but no buffet. All the staff were helpful and courteous. The small pool would be a bonus when the weather gets really hot!

Overall the stay was very good. The room has been quite small and the bed was a little bit short.( I am 193cm). As an improvement I would sugest to install some powerplugs over the side tables of the bed, so that you don't need to crawl below to plug in your electrical devises.

Average Hotel, room interior was very outdated. No milk in the mini bar for coffee. No rail to hang a hand towel, and the bath towel rail was over the top of the toilet. Breakfast was very basic.
