This property was a great little oasis. My husband and I stayed here for a night at the end of our safari and enjoyed it. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a complementary airport shuttle. The location is safe and conveniently near the airport.

The staff was amazing! We made a last minute laundry request and they went above and beyond. It was our first time in Tanzania, and the impression the staff made was remarkable.

They were also able to accommodate private transfer for us super early in the morning, and that was greatly appreciated. If you are near the airport and want to rest your head, this spot is PERFECT.

Also- please use the spa, the massuse were incredible.

Totally fine place to spend a night near the airport. Airport transfer was really well organized and prompt, that’s what really matters. WiFi is terrible, that really needs to be improved. Speeds are incredibly slow and sometimes unusable.

Abuu and his staff provided world class, extraordinary service. All meals were excellent, rooms an oasis and spa service from Hilda and Zam Zam as good if not better than anywhere in the world. The workers made us feel like we were family and all knew our names after our 4 day stay. I could not recommend Planet Lodge any more. If you are stopping over or coming Sorry, I’m in a meeting from safari, do NOT miss this lodge. From the day we arrived and were greeted by Eva’s smiling reception staff we felt at home. Thank tou all for a memorable stay!

We only stayed here one night, however, it was a beautiful and welcoming facility. The staff was more than attentive, there was a small walking trail around the perimeter and the food was amazing. There isn’t much to do in the surrounding vicinity, but its atmosphere and cleanliness would have made us stay longer if we could.

This property is great. 10 minutes from the KRO airport, free shuttle. food is very good , good bar and wonderful friendly staff. we got a free Swahili lesson and even took a cooking lesson with chefs in the kitchen. Wonderful pool with dedicated bar. as Arnold Swartznagger says, \" I'll be bach!\"

Easy, free transfer to/from airport: drivers efficient and extremely friendly and accommodating. Grounds are beautiful and room was quiet and very clean and spacious.

We only had one night (partial) as we had a very early flight out. I wish we had booked this hotel for our stay prior our Kilimanjaro trek. It would have been much more comfortable than the more expensive resort hotel we booked in Arusha. If we come back, this is definitely where we will be staying.

Safari Wind Down

We wanted to have a chance to relax a bit after our nine day safari and chose to stay here because it is close to the airport. You will be amazed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, the delicious food, and the grounds, as the gardens are lovely. You will not be disappointed with choosing this hotel, they even have a nice pool and spa. The only cons were that there is no mini fridge in the room and the WiFi can be a little challenging.

I had a wonderful day at this hotel. Everyone was so welcoming from the staff. One of the staff members took me to my room, carry my luggage and also ensure that I was able to get room service to my room. They also have a complementary shuttle to the airport, which is amazing. The property is so nice and the food is delicious when I come back I will definitely be staying in this hotel.

The staff made this stay amazing! They were super! Our flight got delayed and we arrived very late however they still brought us hibiscus tea, cookies, and warm clothes. My husband had climbed Kilamanjaro and arrived before me, he enjoyed the spa and took advantage of the laundry. They did a great job!

The pictures on Expedia didn't do this place any justice! It was amazing! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It really was the best sleep I had all trip! So many comfy pillows! Beautifully decorated with a very nice garden! I love how all of the trees and flowers were labeled. The had a great breakfast buffet and the dinner was good as well. This is a must stay! Very near to the airport with shuttle service. I will definitely be staying here again and for my entire trip next time!

Great place to stay near the Kilimanjaro airport. The hotel is very nice and the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever had in a hotel! They provide shuttle service to the airport at all times of day as well. Very happy with our stay!

Perfect for Before/After Safari!

Airport Planet Lodge is the perfect place to stay either before or after your safari. It doesn't compare to the other lodges that I stayed at duriing my safari with Instinct Tours, but it is comfortable enough & close to the airport with free shuttle service. Typical terrific Tanzanian hospitality, lovely grounds & pool!

Very helpful staff. They provided very prompt service. They offered free pick up and drop off to the airport at Kilimanjaro. The stay was very smooth and everything was well organized and very clean. The food at the restaurant was also great. Would definitely recommend booking this place if you are in the area and need an overnight stop!

Airport Planet Lodge Kilimanjaro is 10 minutes from the airport. It’s not at it as google has. That said it’s a perfect place to relax after exciting safaris. The staff are brilliant and such a pleasure to deal with. If you ask nicely they will even assist with your local language skills. The food is of a high quality delicious. I loved my time there

A gem near JRO airport.

Great place to spend my last night in Tanzania. Very accommodating front desk allowing me an extra couple hours for check out. Large & clean pool. Beautiful gardens. Extensive breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay here again.

Our honeymoon began with a delightful stay at Arusha Planet Lodge, conveniently located about a 15-minute drive from the airport. Emmanuel ensured all arrangements were seamless prior to our arrival. Upon reaching the lodge, we were warmly welcomed with scented towels and refreshing hibiscus tea. The serene gardens and spacious rooms, thoughtfully decorated for our honeymoon, provided a perfect retreat after our long journey. A special mention to our waiter, Tegemea, and manager, Abuu, who orchestrated a romantic poolside dinner under the stars, making our evening truly memorable. The entire staff’s warmth and attentiveness made this an ideal start to our safari adventure.

Third stay... very enjoyable and lovely place to relax before a very long haul flight. Food is good and atmosphere relaxing. Beds lovely and soft. I stayed with my daughter and 19 month old grandson this time. It was nice to escape the hustle and bustle of Arusha before flying. We were provided with breakfast boxes before departure, which were greatly appreciated and of great assistance on the long flight with a baby!
Will definitely be back.

Convenient & Gorgeous Lodge

This property is absolutely beautiful and we stayed one night before we left for a 5 day safari in Tanzania. It is about 4 miles from the Kilimanjaro airport which made it convenient. The drivers to this lodge were available at the airport and waiting outside once all airport clearances were completed.

Polite staff in great location with lovely pool

We had a one night stop over here on the way back from Zanzibar to the UK.
It's less than 10 minutes from the airport and they provide a free shuttle so it couldn't be easier.
We stayed all day waiting for our evening flight and they we used the facilities and the pool and it gave us a nice transition to end the holiday.
The staff were exceptionally well trained and polite.

This property worked out well as we needed an overnight stay near the Kilimanjaro airport before we flew out to Serengeti. The accommodation were as expected but the staff exceeded expectations - professional pickup and drop off service, very helpful front desk. We forgot a small item in the room and the staff actually came back to the airport on their own accord to find us and return the item to us which was above and beyond. Thank you.

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The airport shuttle pickup was easy and on time. The accommodations at the hotel are clean and roomy. The patio is ideal for morning coffee. The restaurant has great food and a well stocked bar. Breakfast was well stocked. The only downside is that we didn’t get to spend more time there. The staff were exceptional.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at! They had an incredibly smooth process from the airport transport to check in and check out. Every staff member was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. Their grounds are GORGEOUS and it seems like they have a ton to offer from booking excursions to the pool and gym area! We only had one night here and I wished we had more! A definite MUST if you are staying in the Moshi area!
