This is a historical building with one of the prettiest locations I’ve seen in Hermosillo. The sunsets have the quality of a proper desert sky. The Mountain View’s are incredible. The staff was so accommodating and wonderful. I highly recommend upgrading your room, for a few extra bucks you’ll have tons more room. There are lots of things within walking distance, private and safe parking, and perfectly working AC, hot water, a proper ice machine and filtered water . You can’t beat this hotel. It truly is home away from home and I would stay nowhere else in Hermosillo

I booked this hotel understanding it was a historic property, so I didn’t have high expectations regarding modern finishes. In fact, I was excited about the opportunity to experience staying in a colonial-style building, and this felt like the perfect chance.

The hotel is clean overall, which I do appreciate. However, the reality did not match the photos shown on Expedia. From the outside, the building looks neglected—peeling paint, aging walls, and deteriorating doors and windows. At first glance, I genuinely thought we had arrived at an abandoned property until we found the main entrance, which is actually in good condition.

Customer service was disappointing. Not overtly rude, but the front desk staff did not acknowledge us for an extended period upon arrival, which set the tone for the stay.

The elevator technically works, but only reliably going up. When trying to return to the first floor, it repeatedly took us to the third floor, so we ended up using the stairs for the remainder of our stay.

The rooms are clean but in serious need of updates. The beds feel as old as the building—functional, but outdated. The couch looked unclean enough that I chose not to sit on it. The bathroom, while also clean, is very dated, and the shower drain was clogged, causing water to pool. I requested maintenance, but the issue was never addressed.

I did get the experience I was looking for—staying in a colonial-era style property—but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. This

Si te gusta lo antiguo lo colonial muy recomendable si buscas lugos aquí no es a mi me encantó por lo antiguo y colonial y en la esquina enfrente al estacionamiento venden tacos de cabeza y chicharrón delicioso en el hotel si tienes desayuno continental incluido solamente te dan un plato de fruta y café pero sal a la vuelta del hotel y encontrarás unos deliciosos tacos en el desayuno no sé si están en la noche

Very historic Hotel but needs a LOT of renovation & update work to bring up to better standards - cleanliness poor (long black hairs on white bed sheets?!); the kitchenette was uninviting looking to use - nothing plugged in or clean to put ANY food near; chipped & broken-off tiles on stairs & in hallways made unsafe conditions and, very sketchy neighbourhood with not much else open around this Hotel!

So I rated this hotel a 5 because of the age of the hotel and its proximity to old Hermosillo, the central plaza, and Villa Seris. It is on the main boulevard to get into and out of town to Kino or San Carlos. We traveled in a family of 7 and need a economical place to stay for a short visit before heading off to Cabo. The hotel staff are friendly and maintain the hotel well. If you like to travel and have authentic experiences then I say give it go. If your looking for comfort and modern amenities then maybe not. One last thing, they have 25 hour free secured parking directly across the street from the hotel.

The theme for the property is a good idea, aiming at taking advantage of the history of the building. Unfortunately, that doesn’t apply to items like towels (which were probably from the 90’s), nor the stucco, which was falling apart in the rooms. There was no hot water, which would’ve made a difference in a cold January morning, especially when I was showering before 6am.
I understand why the inconvenience of accessing the front entrance is omitted but this is a major inconvenience, especially for elder patrons.
Don’t want to be mean but in all honesty, I could not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Especially not at the rates they charge, which do not in any way seem commensurate with the quality of the services rendered.

I was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the refrigerator in the room was old and in poor condition. Additionally, there was a lot of noise from the street that made it difficult to relax in the room. The temperature inside was uncomfortably cold, and even the extra blankets I requested didn't make much of a difference.

Moreover, the water pressure in the shower was extremely low, barely allowing for a lukewarm shower, which was quite frustrating. The distance from the room to the parking lot was quite extensive, especially if you have heavy luggage, navigating through stairs, crossing bridges, and streets, which proved to be a significant hassle.

For the money it was fine the beds were okay but could be better. The breakfast was nice for free and the staff was very kind. We were bummed out to find out if the pool wasn’t opened and it was super hot while we were there. We understand there’s a water shortage supposedly in Hermosillo though. We liked that we could walk to a lot of different places like to the mall or to downtown. There were restaurants and galleries within walking distance and we wishes we were there longer to be able to explore more of the city.

First off, if you're from the U.S. you need to keep in mind this is located in a different country with a different culture. Adjust your expectations. The bed was great, the shower was very good, but the couch in my room was uncomfortable. The room was IMPECCABLY clean. Typical of Mexican households, you could eat off the floor. The front desk person didn't point the way to my room. There was a man who escorted me to my room and confirmed everything worked. This was good because the hotel is a BEAUTIFUL labarynth. I would never have found it. This is a place of history and you need to keep that in mind as you explore the many nooks and crannies. The food in the restaurant is very good as well. My spanish is not very good, but the entire staff worked very hard to help me learn more and to make sure I understood everything. This is exactly what I needed. The area is perfectly safe, I went for several walks with my dog. Just pay attention to the traffic. I can't wait to return to this hotel!

It was frustrating. They tried to downgrade us to a smaller room without telling us and then made excuses about it because we had a stroller. The room is supposed to come with breakfast included but the only thing they gave us was coffee, toast and fruit- everything else we had to pay for. The taxis the hotel called for us were all super expensive and didn’t use meters so we definitely got ripped off. All but one of the hotel staff were rude and lazy and hard to work with. I would never come back and I will tell everyone I know you never go there.

A wonderful find in Hermosillo

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I appreciated that there were two bathroom sinks, and they were separate from the toilet and shower, allowing my mother and I to get ready for our day quickly.

The restaurant served good food and keeps long hours. Monday through Friday they have a breakfast buffet with decent chilaquiles, pancakes, oatmeal, scrambled eggs and ham, and coffee. For dinner I recommend the ensalada de pollo.

The hotel has wonderful ambience, being 150 years old with displays of antiques in the lobby. To top it all off, it’s right on the highway for easy access for travelers.

Not what we expected, paid for an executive suite and received a standard room, No heater in the rooms, sink at the \"kitchenette\" had to be turned on/off at the valves under the sink, using that sink left a large puddle of water on the floor, the mini fridge was rusting at the bottom and missing a leg, the window didn't lock, it was easy to open from the outside,luckily there were bars to prevent entry, but it also makes it a fire hazard, there will b no escape thru the window in case of a fire, low water pressure, towels need to be replaced, they were really worn out, the door has a patch to lock the door but there is no secondary latch, my son who is 2 yrs old easily opened the door and made his way out into the hallway(we were busy somewhat unpacking because we weren't gng to stay there another night), we heard the door close, wondering what that was, the my son was not in the room, we rushed out of the room and found him in the hallway, had to block the door with our luggage to keep him from getting to the door handle, I did not feel comfortable or safe at this location, we had no choice but to stay there just that one night, we stayed at another hotel for the following 2 nights, we did get in contact with the manager and hotels.com and were able to get the refund for the 2 remaining nights, my brother in law arrived at the same location having the same issues, they too made their way out. This is supposed to be an old hotel, it has history, fix it!

No nos dieron habitación en la torre principal donde había reservado y nos enviaron a la torre de al lado por que según el hotel estaba lleno... a donde nos enviaron todo muy sucio, nunca fueron a hacer el aseo, solicite escoba y trapeador para hacerlo yo, ya que llevaba mis hijos chiquitos, los cuales se enroncharon... el desayuno más o menos bien, pero en general fue una muy mala experiencia, nos sentimos estafados... nunca más llegaré a este hotel y no lo recomiendo para nada.

Los cuartos estaban 7/10 no tenían agua caliente ,ac no servía la tv se desprogramaba se tenía que está llendo a recepción para que fueran al cuarto a programarla al poco tiempo ya está igual no pudimos bañarnos en el cuarto por falta de agua caliente acudimos a recepción y nos prestaron una habitación para que nos bañaramos fue muy incómodo estarnos saliendo del cuarto para bañarnos en su mayoría los empleados muy déspotas había personas hospedas bebiendo en los pasillos como si estuvieran en el barrio la verdad yo no lo recomiendo menos si llevan menores de edad y adolescentes. Deberían prohibir que beban alcohol en los pasillos y que cuiden el escándalo que estos provocan aparte que se portan groseros y nadie les llama la atención parecía vecindad este hotel nada que ver con las fotos publicadas.

Una cosa es que el edificio sea antiguo y otra cosa es que no se le invierta a las habitaciones.

El edificio tiene historia, y su ubicación es magnífica... Pero todo eso queda simplemente en potencial muy pero muy desperdiciado. Intentan colgarse de su antigua gloria la cual pasó hace cien años.

Necesita urgentemente mejorar las habitaciones, ya que no se ven antiguas sino viejas y descuidadas.

Lo peor, ni si quiera hay agua caliente!!!

El personal hace lo que puede con lo que tiene. Pero tampoco van a hacer milagros.

Cuando un hotel se cuida se nota y cuando no se nota más.

Podría ser uno de los mejores hoteles de Hermosillo y brindar una experiencia histórica única, pero mientras no se asesoren con un experto no habrá forma de recomendarlo.

Puntos buenos: El estacionamiento que está enfrente es amplio y tiene vigilancia. El wifi (al menos en mi habitación) funcionaba bien y rápido. La persona que se encarga de llevarte a tu habitación y darte atención es amable y agradable. La gente de recepción es sería pero atenta. El personal de aseo se esmera bastante.

Puntos malos: Descuidado por los dueños o administradores o quién esté encargado de cuidar que no siga decayendo.
