THE ONLY PLACE I STAY IN VENICE

This was my third time staying here and it was nice to see the standard has been maintained since my first stay in 2008.

It’s in an excellent location and that’s the most important thing in Venice, the ease of arrival/departure. I saw so many people lugging their bags up and down the bridges of Venice, whereas all I had to do was walk a short distance from St Lucia Station. Being at the top of the city in Cannaregio means that all of Venice is in front of you and at your feet, literally, you walk everywhere.

The hotel is inside a lovely old Venetian building, whilst inside it's all marble and clean lines. I paid a really good price for a week in Venice in the middle of summer.

My room was on the first floor and very comfortable with a double bed, work table, kettle with tea & coffee, luggage rack, TV and free WiFi. I had a typical Venetian view over the lane from the window.

The washroom was a good size with a nice shower. The service and cleanliness was very good.

Breakfast is available for a fee onsite.

I’ll be back to stay when next in Venice.

The hotel was decent and centrally located, making it easy to get around. However, it would’ve been nice to have an espresso machine available. Initially, my bathroom toilet wasn’t working, but the staff responded quickly. The front desk lady called a plumber, though it was going to take some time, so she kindly moved me to a different room—which turned out to be even better.

The staff was very friendly and in particular Matteo. The room was clean and ready when I arrived which was surprising because I was early. It's in a perfect location if traveling by train.

The only comment I have for improvement is that better blankets would be good. A sheet and that very thin blanket were not enough.

This is a hidden gem in Venice. Close to the train station. In a main thoroughfare but very quiet. Close to shops and restaurants and on the opposite side of San Marcos square with the water taxi virtually at the front door.
The staff were pleasant and checkin quick and efficient. The hotel was spotless and while there was a kettle with tea and coffee provided there was no fridge. However the supermarket is very close by. Loved this place and would definitely stay again

Stepping off the train at Venice St Lucia (Ferrovia) to the breathtaking sight of the Grand Canal was followed by an easy 5 minute walk to the hotel. It's super sparkling clean and in a perfect location. Easy, quick checkin found me in a comfortable room with a good layout, the bathroom completely separate from the bedroom area. Good clean, fresh bedlinen and daily room cleaning made my stay super comfortable. Also, the wooden shutters eliminated noise and light so great sleep quality. Nearby are the more reasonable priced restaurants and you're 2 minutes from Ferrovia vaporeto pier. Price was good and all staff very pleasant and good with English.

Great little hotel at a very resobale price 5 minutes from the train station. Perfect for accessing all the main areas of Venice by foot. Lots of choices to eat and drink close by and a supermarket a couple of minutes away. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even carried our case up the stairs to our room. We had the double room that included the connecting room as we were a family of 4 that were cleaned daily. The rooms were small but perfectly fine for our 4 days exploring Venice.

This is a great hotel if you want to be on the main Venice drag and not far from the train station. Eating and shopping is close by. The facility is clean.

A couple things to note. Room 12 is right on the Main Street, and you will noise late into the night. Also, room 12 is tiny. It’s all bed, one tiny desk, and a small dresser. Not a place to hang out when you need a break.

But otherwise this is a nice hotel close to interesting things to do and see.

If you need a place to crash.. This is your place.
Like all places in Venice, these are old buildings, but this one is clean, rooms are small as every single place in the city. I'm 5' 3 and found the shower very small, but hey.. It does the work. Hot water, AC was great.
Don't hesitate if you plan to crash after long walks and sightseeing the city

We stayed for a night .Excellent location just outside the train station. The room was very small and basic and the bathroom even smaller. It needs renovation. If you are interested in just sleeping in the room and not expecting any luxuries this is just fine. Worked for us. The lady in the reception was very polite. We asked to leave our luggage after checking out and that was accepted. Thanks

In terms of location, I’d give this hotel 10/10. It’s literally 5mins away from the train station and minutes from the main bridges in Venice. As for the comfort I’d give it 7/10, mainly due to the noise from the outside of the hotel and also from the internal side of the hotel. The walls and windows just aren’t sound proof. So your comfort is up to luck if there is a big gathering outside, of if there is an inconsiderate group of guests who don’t mind shouting inside the hotel. Mind you, the hotel is tiny, and your room door is meters away from reception and this eating area which will be used by young people to have a few drinks and have full on conversations at ridiculously late hours at night. So overall I’d recommend this hotel, but come prepared with a good set of ear plugs, these will come in handy.

Perfect for a short stay in Venice! Only about a 2 min walk from the train station. The staff were welcoming, bedroom was quaint but we didn’t need much else & the breakfast was exactly what you expect of an inclusive breakfast, sets you up right for the day. The only downside was our bedroom being right on the street so it was noisy at night but it wouldn’t stop us from staying again. Thank you!

The hotel was in an excellent location and the staff made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. They did a wonderful job cleaning the room each day and were always so friendly. Our room had two single beds in one room for my daughter and myself and a separate room with another single bed for my older daughter. It was just what we needed while staying in Venice!

This is a small, family owned hotel that's been in operation for over 60 years. It's very small by American standards, but charming and well maintained. It's located on one of the busier streets, close to water bus station and only about a 5-minute walk from the train station.

Very close to the train and the Piazzale Roma. On the outer edge but Venice is very walkable - maps are handy but I found in the rain not so great - use your phones' GPS option for all those twisting alley ways! I travel on a budget, so I worry about how hard beds are and how clean a hotel is (the whole hotel, not just the room), but Hotel Adriatico was great! The owners are the desk attendants and they were very courteous to us. This hotel was basic, which is my style, the beds were comfy (not plush, but clean and not hard to sleep on). I would recommend you keep the window closed as those Italian mosquitos are vicious and loved our Canadian blood - we were covered in the itchiest bites I've ever had! NOT the hotel's fault of course, just an observation. This hotel is well looked after. If we go back to Venice I would stay there again.

Nice hotel close to bus and train

This hotel and staff was very nice.. We were only there for two days at the end of our vacation in Italy. We stayed there because it was close to the bus and train station, to arrive in Venice and then depart for Marco Polo Airport. Easy to wander the streets of Venice, Realto, Marco Polo, the art district, and then find your way back.

A good, clean no-frills cost effective place to stay while in Venice that is near the train station. No nice views, single rooms are small and pretty basic (could use a good interior design overhaul). Was disappointed there was no photography or art in my room of the beautiful Venice area .... just plain boring white walls. Did have air conditioning which was nice and reliable WiFi.

Owner(s) make the breakfast every morning; they enjoy taking care of their guest.

Choose only for convenient location to transport.

I understand the higher expenses in Venice so this hotel falls into the lower end, though it's not that cheap compared to those I stayed in other Italian cities. Extra charge is required for breakfast but it's low in quality and quantity, comparatively.
Very close to the main rail station and pier, lots of restaurant and bars under, but also noises, as ppl and travelers are still active at late night or early morning.
The interior is fine. No lift but staircases, though not of many steps.
Cleanliness both inside and in the public area of the hotel is good.

Good location, facilities could be improved.

We liked the location and the general condition of the hotel. For the two days we stayed there, the A/C was broken and the room was very hot. Opening the windows was hardly an option, because there were no nets at the window and the mosquitos were everywhere. If they fix the A/C and/or add the nets, all should be fine. The staff were nice and communicative.

Very good location, very close to train and water bus station. Many good restaurants and coffee shops close by. Excellent breakfast at the hotel for 5.00 Euro. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. The WIFI works very well in the room. But the A/C doesn't work very well. The dirty towels of the floor in our room were put back on the rack by the hotel staff even though we wanted them replaced. We couldn't find any English channels on the TV.

Fabulous location and good deal! Remember this is a 2 ** hotel, it is small and noisy but you're in the centre of Venice- you have to expect that. Brilliant place for a short trip, clean, tidy, helpful, they let not check in early, free wifi and a decent breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this hotel but don't expect the Ritz!

Beware!

Booked based on convent location to train and other positive reviews. However, there is mold in several corners of the bathroom ceiling, not just above the shower, the ac barely runs and shuts itself off, there is little security since the key is required to be left at the front desk which we arrived to find unstaffed one evening for several minutes. No ID is requested for room confirmation even when staff changes over, just give a room number and you get a key. The worst part is that either house keeping has sticky fingers or the lax security had our cash stash (required for next lodging) in our suitcases pilfered. The sealed bank envelope with original bank withdrawal was gone and a European letter format envelope in its place with a few left bills placed in an unusual location among our luggage. We have stayed with relatives until today so no other opportunity for robbery was present. Very sad this happened because it puts a stain on an otherwise nice visit to Venice. I advise stay away or pad lock all your belongings while you are out for the day!

Thankfully only booked in for one night; we were on the main floor of the hotel, triple occupancy. The triple bed was a cot. The bathroom shower area was infested with mold. Had we not arrived so late in the evening we would have tried to find another hotel. The included breakfast was by far the worst of all of our hotel stays

Pleased by the clean appearance of the hotel. Our room window was facing the street, but surprisingly noises were suppressed the moment we closed the window - helped us have a peaceful night. Bath is small but manageable. Breakfast was average. Hotel was helpful in keeping our luggage near breakfast room as late checkout was not possible that day. It was a 3 night stay with my family (with a 3 yr old kid) in a 3 bed room. Hotel was ok to accommodate a 3 yr old kid in the same bed - could have gone for a double bed :) Best value for the budget - though 40 euro per night more than the cheapest triple bed hotels available at that time.

We stayed here for three nights. The location is great - a few minutes walk from the train station and so close to the vaporetti station. The street was bustling and full of great shops. We had a wonderful room where the two windows overlooked the street below - it was noisy during the day but settled down in the evening. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was fine - typical continental breakfast. Everything was clean and we would definitely stay again. A wonderful spot to explore the magic which is Venice from.

Superb staff especially Marina and Rossana. They were informative not only about the major sites but also the tucked-away gems that abound in Venice. Room 2 was clean and large for a tired solo traveller; the bathroom also large and well-equipped. Best thing of all were the lights--bright by small hotel standards. Look forward to another visit.

A great location just a short walk from the train station. Near lots of restaurants and shopping; an easy walk to the Rialto bridge. For those who like to walk, Venice is nearly perfect. I and my wife stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is very close to the train station and water bus stations. There are many restaurants in this neighborhood; so eating good meals is no problem.The reception is in the 2nd floor; there are no elevators, however. Breakfast is provided in the café next door; just average breakfast. The room was bright and very clean. The shower was very small and rather inconvenient. Coming from the USA, we found this and other hotels in western Europe extremely expensive for the comfort, room size, and amenities they provide.

I chose this hotel for its location, as I didn't want to be tramping round Venice on my own, i arrived in venice via coach at the piazzle roma, if you cross the main bridge + just keep going straight on for about 10 mins the hotel is on the left, you really can't miss it, there is always someone at reception and everyone was very friendly, the room was spacious + very clean, I would happily stay here again.

Bad experience at Adriatico

My husband and I were quite disappointed about the hotel because chose it since it had good/ok reviews. We only booked the hotel for 1 day and we were extremely glad about our decision because we didn't want to stay there any longer. In order to get to the reception/rooms of the hotel you need to climb a steep staircase. This does not work in your favour if have a lot of luggage to carry (especially if they are heavy!). Our room was located in front of the reception which we did not like as there is limited privacy.The air conditioning in the room was not working and it was never fixed even when we requested it to be fixed. The bathroom was quite small and difficult to move around in. Overall our experience at the hotel was bad and we would not recommend it to anyone.

Excellent hotel

It is very near the Venezia St. Lucia Station. Within 3 minutes walk.

Very friendly staff, helpful and go a lot of extra miles to provide impeccable service. Mr Morris makes us feel at home and most importantly, you can feel that he really cares. He recommended things to do and where to eat. Kind of give you the feeling of staying with your grandparents. Warm and comfortable.

The hotel interior design is very up to date. The rooms are small, however the look and feel of the room is so clean and comfortable that the size of the room becomes less important.

Close to everything.

Hotel Adriatico is a small gem close to everything - Grand canal, Train Station, signseengs ,ets. You can take Vaporetto, you can walk . We spent two nights in the hotel. Say Hi to Carlo !

Rooms was very clean. Breakfast was minimal with just coffee machine and croissants, mini baguettes and jam. U had to leave the key with the reception Everytime you leave and when you collect your keys to enter into the room, they don't verify you at all even it was a new receptionist at the desk! Not very secure, esp when you have valuables. No lifts and a long flight of stairs to go reception for checkin and another small stairs to go level 2 rooms.
