If I return to León, I definitely won’t be staying at this hotel again. There were no available parking spots, and the air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly—maintenance attempted to fix it but was unsuccessful. The hotel is in need of renovation, especially the first-floor rooms and the worn carpet in the common areas. Additionally, there was no coffee provided in the room, which was disappointing.

The property is great location, but there's alot to take in consideration before staying here.
First rooms are old as the pictures staids, not that clean and full of dust, i book what called suite, mmmm yea plenty of space but the room was awreck, the walls were dirty, the doors full of scratches where the paint was off, the TV is smaller than a PC monitor, the wooden closet are so old and full of dust that we didn't even try to used them, i dont understand how a Hotel with such good reviews or standards has such poor rooms maintenance, if the idea was to make the room look or feel old, there other way to do so and still give the room a better clean vibe,only the restrooms was partially updated, but very little lighting.
Also who ever designed the hotel entrance didn't thought of disable individual, it doesn't have a ramp, so if you alot of luggage like i did then be ready of a workout as there 10 steps before getting to the main doors, it only has soppouse elevator for disable yet it seems needs a special key.
Last item to remember parking is a disaster, the front of the hotel parking area to unload is very small, so if there 3 cars there then you are not in luck and be ready battle for a parking area near by (if any) the closes open public parking is two blocks away, yes not ideal for someone that has family with 5 luggages or more.

This is a mostly very nice hotel and it's within easy walking distance of León's train station which was a big bonus. Bedsheets had a couple of small stains on them. Front desk staff are just about polite but quite cold to you if you don't speak Spanish.

The property is old, the parking is a tiny garage with little space to maneuver.
The carpet on the hallway of our floor was covered all over with disgusting stains. Not bad smell but it looks terrible.

Perfect stop for our night in Leon near old town area and the cathedral. Staff amazing.
Room was clean and had everything we needed.
Bed was firmer than i am used to, but I slept well.
A bit of noise from room above and on the street late at night. It's downtown so expect you may hear noise if you're staying here.

We stayed here for a night while walking the Camino. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom had a bath. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel is really well located, very close to Casa Botines and the cathedral.

The hotel location is good, only minutes to the old town area. This is a grand old hotel that is undergoing upgrades. The rooms are large, ours had a terrace but needed to be refurbished and furniture added. There are no English speaking TV channels, if that is important.
The room was clean as was the hotel. We did eat at the adjacent restaurant, Casa Mando and was not impressed with the food or menu. There are many places to eat in the area. In general the hotel was fine, the front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful.
I would stay agan.

Lovely Leon.

Excellent hotel right on the cusp of the old and new town areas. Rooftop restaurant lovely but many street restaurants with old town ambience handy. We were lucky it seems to park in hotel basement car park, not bookable but we felt essential for peace of mind during three days of ignoring the car. Reception staff superb. Cathedral better than Chartres, worth the visit alone, but there is much more.

We absolutely loved the place. Amazing breakfast, lots of different foods in a light and comfy restaurant. The restaurant staff was really professional and kind, always polite and customer-oriented. My mom has difficulties walking and rhey were really attentive with us. The same applies to the the staff in other areas. The room was big and beautifully decorated. We definitively be back.

I had a room with no air conditioning, which was fine and so we had to leave the window open at night. Since I was on the 3rd floor the street noise and lights were hard to sleep with. Ask for a higher floor or get a room with AC if you want sleep during the high season. Earplugs helped. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Just a Little Bit Dull

I have no serious complaints at all. The location is quite good, the staff were mostly quite welcoming and very helpful, and the room, while a bit basic, was a good size. So why a relatively mediocre rating? Simply put, it lacked any kind of ambiance. It was drab. I had a huge balcony but it had no chair. There was no coffee or tea in the room. There are two well known restaurants connected to the property but the staff cannot book them. Perhaps this hotel is simply suffering by comparison to all the others i had during a ten week trip but nonetheless, while I had no real complaint, I would recommend it to those looking only for the necessities. For atmosphere, go elsewhere.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel. The staff are very helpful and hotel is only a couple of hundred metres from the centre. The room was well appointed and certainly not small. The only negative was the sight of the tear in the leather sofa in the foyer. I would certainly return to this hotel.

Had a refurbished room on 4th floor which had a view of the Cathedral & Gaudi building. Two large beds with lovely soft bed linen. Large marble bathroom which had a great shower in the bath. All made for a great stay. We slept well due to blackout curtains & well insulated walls 😁
The hotel is in a fabulous location to explore the old part of the city as well as the shopping streets.
Would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location for centre and station.

The hotel is well placed close to the main attractions and the railway station. The breakfast is superb. The room fittings are a little dated and the hot water supply is much too hot so that the shower control cannot cope to give a constant temperature. Overall a comfortable place to stay.

Be aware that there is a newer wing with more updated rooms in addition to the original part of the hotel (larger rooms), depending on what you prefer. INCREDIBLE roof top lounge/restaurant, must check this out even if you don't stay at the hotel its worth a visit.

A nice hotel, slightly showing its age, but still worthy of its stars. Large, pleasant room; ventilation was rather noisy in ours, but it worked. Good breakfast. Parking in the hotel is handy and not as cramped as in many hotel underground parking garages in Spain.

It is a very nice hotel and it is worth to stay here. We had a spacious room. The location is perfect - right in the centre. There are shops and cafes nearby.
The staff was very attentive and tackled all problems very quickly. We had a problem with the shower, but in five minutes it was resolved.

AWFUL SERVICE

After a long plane, then bus trip, we were looking forward to a comfortable stay at what supposedly is a four-star hotel. But, when we arrived we were treated as if we were unwanted transients. We were dressed down and a bit battered because of the trip but that would not justify anyone - especially hotel staff - totally ignoring you for several minutes, not greeting you in any way and finally just handing you a key for what was an awkwardly shaped room with a old looking bed. We wanted to leave right away but had booked for three nights so thought we could cancel for the following nights. I asked a different front staff member who also did not smile and treated me like dirt for asking. I was told unequivocally \"no.\" I asked for a different room the next day because my daughter was sick and the bed was so uncomfortable. The second room was a better shape but had a tiny window. The only decent part of the rooms were the bathrooms - nice and big. There are refrigerators in the room but they are so jammed pack with items that cost 5x what it would cost to buy them at the store that you can't put anything in them.

We couldn't wait to leave this place. Every time we came or left the hotel, you are forced to pass the front desk and see the unfriendly face of whomever is there. Never one smile. Never one word from anyone there. What a terrible impression they give of Spanish people.

We got word that there was talk of a train strike the next day and when we returned to the hotel that night the lady on reception went on line and checked everything for us.Value for money is excellent

Was a nice hotel but nothing special. I could smell smoke in my room - not sure if was a left over from previous guests or something was filtering through... Also air conditioning wasn't working properly, but I didn't mention this to staff as I was not really all that hot in the room. A bit disappointed that I wasn't helped up to my room with my bags - I was carrying a lot at checkin and was by myself. Reception were helpful however when requesting to book extra nights.

We had booked 3 nights at this hotel but moved out after 1 night. The accessibility to the hotel was very difficult given one of our party had mobility issues and we were not offered any help with our luggage on arrival or departure. Staff were offhand and unhelpful and the hotel quite soulless. The room was fine but dated. Not sure how the hotel was rated 4 stars

So close to being great ....but

This hotel was a treat in between the Camino.
Reception was lovely. My room totally spotless and large. The mini bar well stocked.
I had a massage.. it was great. Its close to the cathedral and with great food places nearby. An ATM is just beside the hotel.

But. Three things meant that I wouldn't go back.
1. The smell of stale smoke was awful...I really feel sorry for the staff that have to work there...my room reaked of it.
2. The traffic noise was a bit too much for me. There were the traffic lights. ..and the reving away from them. Then there were the street cleaners. All night...and then builders would start around 8.30am
3. I was turned away from the restaurant. I had been really looking forward to dinning there. But when I turned up in my best \"pilgrams\" outfit. Even though there was only one other couple there and it was 8.30pm. And the tables were empty. I was quickly told that they were fill...and kinda pushed out. I guess I wasn't the cliental they were after. So...I found another place where I spent €55 and left a big tip for the wait staff.
