Excellent hotel avec des lits confortables, un bon restaurant avec une carte variée et une tres belle piscine. À 90 minutes del Valle des Cocora, 30 minutes du Parque del cafe et 60 minutes de Panaca. L'aéroport est a 10 minutes. Le seul probleme que nous avons eu est avec un autre restaurant de l'hôtel (pizza et pates) qui se reserve par le site de l'hôtel. Quand nous sommes allés à l'heure de notre réservation, on nous a dit que le restaurant n'ouvrait pas le dimanche!?!

The good: the hotel has good facilities and a variety of entertainment options. The vast majority of the staff is very friendly.

The average: the rooms are standard, but could be better equipped. For example, the bathrooms could have better quality toiletries and include essentials such as shampoo. At the moment they only include a multipurpose soap.

The food is not bad, but could be better.

The bad thing: the service at the front desk was lousy and unfortunately damaged the whole hotel experience. The people in charge not only lack good customer service, but we suspect they are involved in illegal activities.

Our experience started when they forced us to pay VAT when we explained a thousand times that we are not residents of Colombia and we checked in with an international passport and we had the supporting documents proving that we do not reside in the country. They did not give us the exception because we did not have a stamp in our passport. Which does not prove our non-residence. They didn't bother to verify our documents, but made us pay the tax.

The worst: my husband sarcastically told the man with glasses at the reception desk (they don't use name tags), that he was going to pay with his \"Colombian resident card\", which annoyed him. Within 20 minutes my husband's card received 5 fraudulent charges that although we have NO proof, we believe that the man at the front desk is allegedly behind this scam.

The property was close to the airport as it's own redeeming factor. Unfortunately we booked the Mocawa hotel in mistake thinking we had the Mocowa Resort. When we changed to the resort they kept the other hotel charge despite us cancelling it. So we essentially paid twice. We tried to resolve this with Expedia and in person but they still charged us twice. Will never stay with Mocowa agian. Besides there are better hotels for families in the area. I strongly recommend Hotel Camelias near Parque de Cafe. Much nicer, more accommodating, better food, and amazing, atmosphere.

Not a true resort experience

Hotel Manager Sara extremely rude and unhelpful, didn’t provide any sort of solution.

Unfortunately not what we excepted from a “resort” standard. Friendly and kind service, but very understaffed. Also, the hotel has no security guard on premise and we didn’t feel safe. Especially when we saw guests checking in with hand guns tucked underneath their shirts. We ended up dining inside the room because some guests at the restaurant we’re speaking vulgar language and again no one on premise to remind them it’s a family environment. Rooms were very clean and had all the amenities.

Absolutely loved my stay here. The resort is beautiful and all of the employees are fantastic and welcoming. The pool is huge and you can actually swim around. I do wish they cleaned the pool more often as there are many dead bugs in the water. Overall our stay was fantastic, also the food is really good in their restaurant Colors.

The staff very friendly, good breakfast, but they need better bio security at the pool, didn’t see someone cleaning the tanning beds after people use them, also at dinner ask for salt and they brought it from a table someone just use it , with the virus they should train better their waitstaff . Sunday they have a lady telling people not to stay to long in the restaurant, that was about it.

Excellent premises, very nice people, but resort has a big problem on the kitchen and bars. Having a simple beverage can take you more than 30 minutes and getting a plate in the restaurant more than 70 minutes. Because of its localization there is no alternatives for drinks and food near by so you are stuck with this very poor service.

Overall, the stay was good. There were numerous problems with the check-in; the room was not ready for two hours, the Hotels.com status was not recognized or honored, and the food served in the restaurant was of poor quality and undercooked. Despite the first impressions, the main disappointment was with the lack of communication or resolution from the staff. Not once were we contacted by the manager, nor was a resolution offered. We did enjoy the resort overall, and only experienced problems during our first few hours. It’s a beautiful location and there is plenty to do.

We left one day before and they didn’t noticed it. The adult channels are 469 and 470, between channels for kids!!! Great restaurant, landscaping and playing room. Rude front desk staff (girls) with a very inappropriate passports handling and questions. No glass windows, mosquitoes come in or you close the wood doors and you are in a box without light. Transportation has to be waited 30 minutes. Overpriced coffee cup in the heart of the coffee region !

Great Resort - Terrible Service

Beautiful well maintained resort with unfortunately terrible service in a number of areas:
1) Check-in / Registration nightmare. - We arrived at the resort at 1PM. Told room would not be ready until 3PM. I get on line to register at 250PM. 530PM and my room is still not ready! And I was not alone. Most of the guest rooms where not ready at 3PM or 4PM.
2) Get ready to take cold showers. - There was no hot water in my room during 90% of my stay. Do they turn off the heaters to keep costs down? Terrible. You may like cold showers, if so this is place for you. If not, look elsewhere. I called the front desk one of the days dureing my stay. They sent up a maintance person who must have turn on the hot water temporarily. Because that night...no more hot water. Brrrrrrr....
3) Good breakfast and Lunch, but terrible Buffet. Do yourself a favor do NOT buy the buffet. It was terrible and yet they want to charge 40,0000 COP for it! I don't mind paying for quality, but you would be better off eating at a McDonalds. This was off as Colombian food is very tasty. Lunch by the pool, and breakfast was excellent. The Buffet dinner must have another chef. Avoid at all cost the buffet dinner.

The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained. The workfers very friendly and tried to be helpful. Shame about the services I mention above. Look elsewhere until management fixes these issues.

Lost reservation and lack of management skills

Upon arriving the hotel could not find our reservation and told us it was up to us to find the confirmation number. We found it. It still took this hotel time to find it within their system after going back and forth from the back room.

Good luck in finding everthing yourself after checking in, it took us 45 minutes. Also be ready to answer your last exit and entry into Colombia. Plus you must provide your profession. More questions then customs asks.

As for the restaurant. Nobody to seet us. No signage. We ended up eating their international buffet for dinner.

We booked for 2 nights and the room was not cleaned once. Had to ask for towels as there were 2 larger hand towels when arrived.

We chose not to spend the night for other reasons such as noise and lighting in the room.

We came back the following day to mention/complain about our experiences, many more of them not mentioned previous. Management told us everything would be great from that point on. The lady in the managers yellow shirt showed us towards the pool. She had troubles finding where the towels were and had to ask her staff and walk around to find us two towels.

The comped us 2 lemonades.

The staff are horribly snarky and slow at the pool. It is a serve bar which we waited at least 15 minutes for a drink. They gave me a beer with ice. No no. Again another problem. Their reason was they didn't have it cold. Ok ok.

My parents have been to this hotel several times and have really enjoyed their stay. Unfortunately, this time I had booked the suite for them but when they arrived the staff told them that it was not available. They gave my parents another room and refunded part of the price. However, it is unacceptable that the reserved suite was not available. At the time they went to the hotel there was a convention going on and the hotel was chaotic, all the facilities were overcrowded. It is disappointing because in their previous stays they had a good time. Sadly, we let Expedia know about what happened and they never responded.

The photos in Hotels.com do not do the hotel justice, we almost did not book because the photos are not that flattering. The hotel is a great place to stay to visit the coffee region. This hotel is amazing, I researched for weeks looking fora hotel I would love in the Eje Cafetero and I hit the mark with this one. The property is beautiful, well maintained, the staff is friendly and the view is extroirdanary. You can find something less expensive in the area but this place is well worth it. My favorite parts were the comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and the architecture of the beautiful property.

We had an amazing stay at hotel allure, 5 days and 4 nights of pure fun in the sun. The hotel has an amazing variety of delicious food! Beautiful and stylish rooms, large pools and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy! I thank the hotel's staff and manager for allowing 30 people of my traveling group/family to stay at the hotel and letting us attend the amazing New Years Party. One of our favorite activities at the hotel was the amazing New Years party, with a gourmet buffet, open bar, beautiful tables, amazing fireworks, a child care center and an actual band playing! El hotel tiene muy bien mantenimiento , cómodo muy bonito. La comida es muy buena a la carta. La pizza exquisita. Lo único que deben mejorar es que a pesar que la música en vivo y el espacio para pasar una noche de rumba es muy bueno para los que quieren, pero nosotros que íbamos a descansar nos pusieron en una habitación muy cerca y hasta la 1 am no pudimos dormir.

Me encantó el lugar. Todo muy limpio y bonito. El servicio por parte del personal fue excelente. El rest ofrece una gran variedad en el menú. Fue una experiencia maravillosa. Esperamos poder regresar.

Excelente el servicio sin embargo no falta el empleado que no quiere trabajar, como la que atiende en la Fonda, primero nos dijo que si no llegábamos a las 7 p.m. Cancelaban la reservación, cuando llegamos estaba casi vacío, llegaron otros huéspedes y como a todo dice que no, cuando se le pedía algo adicional, pues estos se fueron. No puede ser que una persona manche el buen servicio del hotel.

El hotel es hermoso, ofrecen desayuno y cena variado además tiene varias amenidades para distraerse.
Lo único que se debería mejorar es el aseo de jacuzzi y el turco, además la piscina no es climatizada por lo que siempre se encuentra vacia.

PÉSIMO SERVIO EN EL HOTEL MOCAWA

Mal servicio de limpieza de habitaciones hasta las 3:00 pm le hicieron limpieza, no colocan shampoo ni acondicionador.
La fiesta de Navidad un ROBÓ TOTAL, nuestra hija de 11 años pagó el total de la boleta 100.000 pesos y no había bebidas para ella ni siquiera una gaseosa y al pedirla no la querían cobrar aparte , la orquesta lo peor de todo tocaron muy poco y descansaban demasiado, la fiesta estaba programada hasta la 1:00 am o eso fue lo que dijeron al vendernos las boletas y a las 11:35 la orquesta o el grupo musical mejor porque eso no era una orquesta paro de tocar y se fueron ante la protesta de todos los asistentes que quedábamos a esa hora , literalmente nos hacharon del lugar porque tenían que preparar lo del desayuno y eso fue a las 11:30 pm ! Decepcionante . Pedimos una botella de vodka y no había pasantes como jugo de naranja
El día de nuestra salida a las 8:00 am no había una persona o maletero que nos colaborara con las maletas desde el cuarto el cual quedaba bastante retirado del loby y nos tocó a mi hija, esposa y a mi hacerlo!
La verdad pensamos que el servicio de este hotel era mejor ! NO LO RECOMENDARIA

DEMASIADA MUSICA NOCTURNA TODOS LOS DIAS Y EVENTOS PARA UN RESORT DONDE SE SUPONE QUE PAGAMOS POR DESCANSAR.

El hotel tiene excelente instalaciones. No mas. No invierten en personal, que evidentemente no alcanza a satisfacer las necesidades de los huespedes, ademas no invierten en la capacitación del poco personal que se nota atemorizado y bajo mucha presion y stress. La comida no es mala pero no es buena tampoco. Los baños de la parrilla duraron 2 dias sin agua. Dejamos el balcon abierto para dormir y se coló un gato que casi nos mata de un susto a las 4.30am. La relacion costo/beneficio del hotel es altamente negativa. Extremadamente costoso, caro, para lo que ofrecen. La experiencia el fin de semana fue de frustracion por haber pagado con mucho esfuerzo un hotel carisimo y recibir ni siquiera migajas de buen servicio. En conclusión el hotel es pesimo, los dueños no invierten, se quieren ganar toda la plata. El servicio en la piscina es tenebroso, el peor que he visto en mi vida. NO VUELVO NUNCA Y NO LO RECOMIENDO. Too much to pay for nothing, not recommended, terrible and poor service. Staff is short for the needs of the guests. Very dissapointed with this bad hotel.
