Nice clean room, friendly and helpful reception staff. Great to have off street , secure parking. Very close to a good Brassiere for Dinner. Breakfast was nice with selection of yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants and scrambled egg and bacon.
Very relaxed and good start to the day.

Hotel très bien situé et le déjeuner est varié. Nous avons eu de l'aide du personnel pour se faire un petit pique-nique. Seul bémol, dans la chambre, les lumièeres des toilettes s'allument par un détecteur de mouvement, donc la nuit cela pose problème. Il en est de même pour la lumière d'entrée. Elle s'allume et s'éteint même lorsque l'on est assis au bureau pour travailler. VRAIMENT désagréable. Le stationnement est petit

Perfect spot if travelling in a car. Parking does need to be reserved but great secure car park at 12euros a night.

Room was clean and very comfortable and quiet. Had a brilliant nights sleep.

Tout était bien sauf un piège dans la chambre 316 une petite marche non vue par mon épouse qui s’est allongée en trébuchant.
Votre hôtesse d’accueil a oublié de nous rendre notre clef de voiture heureusement ou malheureusement nous avions un double de clef. Nous nous sommes rendu compte après 250 km ! J’attends le retour de mes clés à mon domicile.

The hotel bills itself as having “all rooms air conditioned”. While it may be technically true, it is deceiving: air conditioning can only be operated from the front desk, and the person there says that “in compliance with the law” they can set it no cooler than 6 degrees below outside. When I arrived it was off, and it was 31 C out, so I had to ask for it to be turned on, while I slowly simmered in the room. Came back hours later, when it was 26 outside, so it was pretty much the same temperature as in the room. Had to go down again and ask for the adjustment. Hope it works.
Been in France for four days in different hotels, and this is the first I have heard of this “law”.

Affordable, nice hotel and staff.

We stayed one night whilst passing back to the U.K. through France from a ski holiday. For what we needed: a place to crash, it was perfect. Room was simple but with a certain style. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Shower was decent. Breakfast was also good. Staff were nice and welcoming. For the price, I thought it was very reasonable. Free ample parking on the street, or you can pay €12 per night to park it in their garage. Would happily visit again.

The staff received us relatively late at night. She was super pleasant and helpful. The room was tidy and had everything needed. The bathroom was large, with a bathtub and all the amenities. The room was super silent. Our stay was perfect. Check-out was as smooth as pleasant as the reception. Two big pluses: close to everything (shopping, restaurants, monuments) and they have parking available. Superb quality/price rapport!

Het was het allemaal net niet, het was netjes maar nog net niet klaar/af. In de muur zat een scheur in het behang en de plinten in de badkamer waren niet op maat. De kamer liep schuin af hetzelfde geld voor de trap. Voordat we aankwamen was het niet duidelijk dat we moesten reserveren voor een parkeerplaats dus we moesten de auto in de stad neer zetten. Smorgens was er niet echt duidelijkheid hoe het in zijn gang ging en er was ook geen begroeting. Het buffet was matig omdat er niets werd aangevuld daardoor was er bijna niks meer. Bij het uitchecken nam de dame van de receptie eerst even de tijd om alle andere dingen te ordennen en toen we daarna aangaven dat we wilden uitchecken zei ze oke en verder niks, komt niet heel gastvriendelijk over.
Ook is het hotel heel gehorig, als degene boven je aan het douchen is klinkt het als een overstroming in onze kamer en verder kan je alles op de gang horen.

Nice Hotel - Shame about the parking

Overall this was a nice and modern hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet (which was particularly valuable because our dog gets unsettled by loud noises).

The hotel parking was not available because we had not booked it in advance. I was disappointed in this because we had specifically chosen this hotel because it had parking and the hotel had not told us that we'd need to reserve parking when we made our reservation. However, we found public parking nearby and we could unload and load the car in the hotel parking.

The staff were a bit abrupt occasionally (no apology was made for the lack of parking for example) but were efficient. The breakfast was good.

Nice Hotel. Good place to stay - but a bit muddled up over their COVID procedures at Breakfast. Poor lady at breakfast did her best to serve everything to everybody based on a list completed the night before but couldn't really keep up even though it wasn't that busy. Poor receptionist had to help out leaving reception unattended.

This is our second stay at this hotel. Last time we had a big room with a separate bathroom & an old fashioned bath which we loved. This time we had a small refurbished room which was beautifully clean but not much space for 3 of us. New shower was fantastic although first morning we got up late & the water wasn’t very hot. Next showers were brilliant. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good but cost extra. Hotel in good position in old town. Loved Mâcon as a small quiet interesting town. Summary good hotel but a bit expensive for what it is!

The friendly staff were able to manage our very late check-in. It has good facilities, which included secure parking and our room had an outstanding shower. We did not have the breakfast, which looked very good and fresh but pricey. We were travelling as a family and it worked well. Its central location should work well for people doing business in Macon.

a Poor experience

I arrived at this hotel after pre -booking late at night. It is not easy to find, and the one-way system was difficult to allow access to the hotel. Also, the hotel sign only had some of the lights on, so it was not easily identifiable. The most disturbing thing going on was the amount of Blue lights and police that were outside blocking entry to the street after a fight by youths. After awhile the police let me through, and I stood outside the hotel glass doors, but no one was there or would let me in. There was no buzzer, and with all the trouble outside I decided to leave after spending twenty minutes trying to get in. I also contacted the hotel to get a refund, and they kept on asking me to call back then ignored my calls. Not a hotel I would recommend!

We were so very pleased with our stay at Hotel de Bourgogne. The hotel has just recently been redone. The rooms are beautifully appointed, comfortalbe, great lighting, and a foot square rain shower. The parking is enclose in a secure area. The only negative is that there is construction going on in the street, but that will be completed,and the hotel will still have it's great central location.

I was really impressed with this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. The staff was nice and helpful. The room looked like it had been recently updated and was very clean and comfortable. The room was quite small but on par with European city hotel rooms that are in my price range. I wouldn't have wanted to stay a week there (because the room was small with no dresser for unpacking clothes, just a small closet), but for a few days it was great. The free Wifi worked really well. As a bonus, my room was close to a Pokestop AND a Poke gym. Depending on how the GPS was getting picked up I could lay in bed and collect items and Pokemon all night and occasionally my room was close enough to go to the Poke gym.

Great repeat 3-night stay during the Salon de Vin weekend. Nicely updated room at a reasonable price. Great accommodating staff. Terrific location for dining, shopping and strolling. Our first visit to Macon and we were very impressed and will go back at some stage. Hotel is fairly basic, room was small and décor is definitely looking tired. However, it was clean and fine for a one night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was well sign posted so relatively easy to find.

The hotel is in a fairly central location, just a short walk to shopping streets and the river side, where nice restaurants and Bars can be found. We stayed 1 night whilst Driving from the UK to the south of France.

The room was clean, and the bathroom a reasonable size, although the holder for the shower head was broken and the air conditioning didn't work. Fortunately it was a pleasant September evening so we had the windows open.

The hotel was advertised as parking available, however, on arrival we told all spaces were already allocated (they only have about a dozen). Fortunately we arrived about 5pm and found on street parking nearby.

This funny little hotel has a parking garage for your aid. The staff will provide you with a map of the area with recommended streets to walk down (three minute walk away) for a charming shopping experience and recommendations for dinner. We didn't eat breakfast here but the dinning area looked cheerful.

Comfortable Macon night stop

Lovely hotel in centre of Macon with private parking, very handy with a car full of ski gear. We stayed just one night on the way to our ski resort. The lobby and bar are quite grand, the bedrooms quite basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet ok but would have preferred fresh coffee rather than use a machine.

This has been my go-to hotel in Macon for over a decade as a judge t the Macon Concours des Grands Vins at Macon. A short drive to the Salon des Vins, close to the pedestrian mall and great restaurants, and the waterfront. We were a group of 10 from the US this year, all staying at the Hotel de Bourgogne.

Room 101 small, strange shape so difficult to get in/out of bed on one side. Room has recently been updated but bathroom has not. Compact bath needs re-enameling and sink badly cracked.
Have stayed here before and been pleased with experience, not this time.
