Golf trip for couple and doggies

Great location with a nice golf course. Our room was old and dated with dirty carpet floors. Dust on furniture so luckily I had cleaning wipes to clean surfaces. The breakfast was okay although not much for gluten free apart from gf bread. It would be nice to see gluten free cakes. The lunch and dinner menu are the same every day and night. There is a very small range and if staying more than one night, you will be disappointed by the food. I had to order the same dish more than once and it was very different and apparently we were told the chef had gone home so whoever was in the kitchen prepared the food but not the same as the previous night as items were notably missing. The non french staff were not so friendly and we did not feel so welcome. It is a shame that the menu is so limited as it has potential to be a grwat get away for golf trips and rest. The best aspect is that it is dog friendly and there were many dogs staying. It is also good that they can join for meals and we met many wonderful dog friendly guests.

Additional charges when traveling with children

Overall very disappointing: the hotel is run down and breakfast is very limited. When you travel with a child, be aware that you will have to pay additional charges for extra beds that are not included in hotels.com fares - according to the hotel it is written somewhere in the small print. This meant that we had to pay an extra EIR 35.

Cute hotel. Nice family rooms. A good stop over hotel, not really a destination hotel unless you're a golfer. They really need to get an elevator. We had to lug heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs.

Beautiful Setting But Too Isolated

When in Burgundy, chateaus are the way to stay. And staying off season like fall can give you bargain rates. This is a beautiful property in a perfect setting. Clean and attentive staff. And if you like golf (we don’t), this might be your place. But the property is a little too large to create intimate settings to meet other travelers. We felt isolated from everyone else and I sense other travelers felt the same way. That’s a shame since we came from another chateau where we stayed in Champagne and it was the perfect size and lots of spaces — inside and out — to chat with fellow travelers. And it’s the people who we meet along the way who make travel fun!

The property is absolutely amazing, the castle, has a hot tub, spa, elegant bar, wifi, amazing restaurant, golf course, pool, free parking, and other amenities. The rooms are large with a double sink in the restroom. The bed was fresh huge and very comfortable. You can walk through the castle as you wish taking in the views of the golf course.

The restaurant was amazing, the cream brulee, and burgundy beef were incredible. Pricey but worth every penny. 😁

Beautiful chateau in a very quiet area

Lovely chateau with golf course right next door. Golf course very busy and extremely slow which spoiled it for us.
Gastronomique restaurant a nice but expensive experience but veggie option (basic green salad, then pasta with chopped tomatoes and a tomato sauce) didn't come close to matching the rest of the non-veggie options, and was the same price as the meat dishes. Disappointing. A suggestion for the hotel - perhaps a filo pastry dish or a truffle option (which was the dish of the day for non-veggie) would be an alternative for veggie customers? Meal in the other restaurant was good, outside, and much better value. Breakfasts huge and lots to choose from. Lots of free parking.

Very nice hotel with very nice staff! It has a nice swimming pool a jacuzzi and steam bath. It also has a very good restaurant where we had a delicious dinner. The breakfast was very good as well. Hope to go back to stay in the main building (the castle)!

Fantastic stay. Room was lovely and the food incredible. It was a little pricey and they did seem under staffed as getting service, checking in and out was very slow. The golf course is very good and the setting fabulous. Wish we had stayed longer. There is more to the area than we thought, but it is a short drive away.

Arrived late and early spring so did not take advantage of offered facilities. Would have expected more traditional and fresh breakfast. Wifi did not work in my room, which is definitely a minus for me.

We had a lovely visit. The room was comfortable although the air conditioning did not really work which was unfortunate given that it was unseasonably hot when we stayed. The food in the restaurant was very good but very expensive. The service overall was quite good though there were times (by the pool, at breakfast) when they seemed to be understaffed. The claim of a \"spa\" seems to be quite overstated (though that is not why we chose it). Nothing else around for miles which is tricky if you are on bikes (as we were) and don't want to pay the restaurant prices. Overall we were quite happy though.

Lovely hotel , lovely room and lovely food!

We arrived to the hotel after driving from Nice that morning. We were welcomed warmly and shown to our room. The reception staff were lovely and the bell boy who took our bags was very informative. We loved the little terrace outside our room and the lovely big shower. We took advantage of the sauna and the jacuzzi and also went for a dip in the pool. The meal in the restaurant in the evening was brilliant, the staff explained all the dishes and which wine went with what. It was pricey but it was worth the money. Breakfast the next morning was great, fresh pastries and breads, meats, cheese and fruit with a hot selection also. We would recommend this hotel and if we are in the region again will come back to stay!

It is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Unfortunately our minibar had not been stocked properly so we were unable to have any cold water and were too tired to wait for it to be brought up! That and the fact that no hot food is available after 9.00pm were the only downsides to this amazing hotel. You feel lucky to be staying here!

Good for a few nights stay or weekend break.

With the amount of space we had in the bathroom I was supprissed that there was only a shower fittting to the bath taps. I would have liked to have seen a walk in shower.

The restaurant was good but the menu was very similar each night.

Lovely hotel, just 4 hours drive from England.

We stopped here on a return drive from Tuscany and only stayed one night, however we were so impressed by the hotel and its facilities that we intend to visit it for a long weekend soon.

It was my childhood dream to stay in a chateau, so in honeymoon I wanted it become true. The hotel is may be a way of touristic but still amazing. Super quiet, very elegant, full of wonderful sights. We didn't have the courage the gastronomic meals of the restaurant, they suggest us a super cute town with warmer restaurants which was also a lovely mini-trip.

Driving through Europe, we wanted a nice out of the way place to stay. This Chateau was perfect. Wine lovers are in for a treat, close to Burgandy region many great Pinots'. Great rooms, great restaurant.

Le lieu et le golf sont très beaux.
Mais l'hôtel n'a pas dû être rénové depuis au moins 30 ans et cela se ressent dans la qualité et les équipements et le prix des chambres n'est plus en adéquation avec la qualité.
C'est dommage car le lieu est vraiment magnifique.

Nice property, beautiful Chateau. Only hick up was dinner reservation. The offered a reservation for 8:15 pm and when we got there spot on, they said no more tables available as it is a first come first serve rule. Which is kind of either/or. You can't book a time only to give tha table to whoever comes first ;).
The sommelier was a real poet though so saved the night.

Ett något slitet slott utan personlig karisma. Två stjärnig service och tre stjärnig kvalitet. Skulle kunna bli fantastisk slottshotell om man investerade i rätt personal. Den japanska ägaren har mycket att göra. Vi vill dock framhålla de två manliga receptionisterna 2 och 3 april och som löste en del problem. Maten ej prisvärd och frukosten dålig. Kaffet under all kritik. Vi kommer inte att rekommendera detta ställe.

Chambre prestige, avec tout le confort nécessaire.

Un peu déçus…

Déjà clients du château de chailly nous avons trouvé le site toujours aussi beau, bien équipé et calme.
En revanche le service à la réception nous a semblé très dégradé avec semble t il un personnel peu forme.
Le restaurant est également moins bien qu auparavant avec moins de choix même si la qualité reste la.
En espérant que cette petite baisse de la qualité d accueil soit temporaire! Très belle région avec beaucoup d activités autour.

le charme de la belle endormie..

Un lieu d'exception, calme et sérénité bourguignonne.
Par contre l'installation commence à sentir les effets du temps: chambre 2 spacieuse, mais déco des années 90.. dommage.
Spa: installation trop petite pour supporter l'affluence d’un tel hôtel (2 par cabine sauna ou hammam)..pas adapté.
Restaurant l'Armançon: carte classique et tarif élevé pour la catégorie (Le Michelin propose de belles adresses simple et authentiques à proximité à tarif maîtrisé).
En résumé un établissement de haut niveau qui sombre un peu dans sa zone de confort de \"belle endormie\". La concurrence dans les environs monte la barre.
Il devient nécessaire de renouveler certains éléments de confort et standing.. Un lieu malgré tout ..le charme à l arrivée toujours exceptionnel..!

Très bon accueil , un cadre de vie agréable et somptueux entre la chambre, les restaurants et ses annexe . Un restaurant haut de game dans son cadre, et son service , avec une belle carte de vins (prix élevés) . Des espaces détentes et salon très appréciable au coin du feu .
Points négatifs pour un 4 étoiles
Attention en cuisine : bien mais restaurant gastro ? ris de veau pas cuit?
Liaison par extérieur entre chambre et spa, hamam, jaccuzzi et surtout une seule cabine 2 personnes pour tout l'hôtel et un seul jaccuzzi ?
4 étoiles absence de voiturier ?
Absence de mise en valeur de nuit, améliorer l'éclairage du château , de l'entrée, des extérieures . Vu le cadre , et la qualité intérieure , il semblerait très judicieux de valoriser les espaces extérieurs , ballade diurne et nocturne
Très bon séjour mais soit très bien pour un 3 étoiles, ou trop faible pour la prestation attendue d'un 4 étoiles.
Etablissement qui regorge de potentiel, la prestation ne doit pas se limiter à l'excellence de l'intérieure

Comme un rêve...

Etape de retour de vacances.Super endroit. La suite que nous avions était superbe. Une immense baignoire ronde idéale pour les couples et un lit à baldaquin merveilleusement génial dont vous me direz des nouvelles. Le petit plus: on peut visiter les différents espaces du château à sa guise et ça c'est top!
Bref en un mot je recommande très fortement!

Esperienza molto negativa. Sin dal'inizio: nessuna indicazioine della reception. ho fatto tutto il giro del cortile, nessuno a cui chiedere, finalmente al terzo portale la reception. Camera non male ma con vista sul parcheggio. Bagno con segi di muffa nera tra le piastrelle. Colazione a buffet: impossibile muoversi tra i tavoli ammasati in una piccola sala, arance per spremuta \"finite\" alla 8.30. qualità generale bassa. Personale evidentemente avventizio e non preparato. Buone le intenzioni peesima l'esecuzione: due bottiglie di acqua minearle sui comodini, ma una già aperta con liquido mancante.
Manutenzione: tetto della rimessa del cortile (tetto in tegole) riprato con un pezzo di lamiera e sostenuto da pilastrini di ferro provvisori.
Peccato! una bella struttura mal gestita
