Fantastic facilities. The only concern was the small size of the room which didn't appear in any of the photos. Great breakfast. They were amazing opening the pool just for me! Sat by the fireplace at the bar for light dinner, which was magical!

We had a fabulous time at Saint Sabine. We visited wineries, did tastings, visited the gorgeous but quaint hamlet of Châteauneuf en auxois, and hiked along the canal de Bourgogne. The staff was exceptional and we will absolutely come again. Gorgeous countryside !

Gorgeous place. Room was excellent!! We took the cheapest room so was expecting it to be quite small and basic but it was beautiful. Up in the attic and a gorgeous view of the church next door. Everything provided that you could need for a relaxing stay.

The hotel is beautiful and the surroundings are amazing. The terrace is lovely and have a beautiful view to the fields.The service was outstanding. However for a 4 stars hotel and price level I would expect more caring for some details. The overall maintenance of the building doesn't look in good shape: The paint of the walls was peeling off, the decoration is outdated, the pool area has no charm. The breakfast is extremely expensive for what's offered. Overall it was a nice experience but I woukd have expected more of a 4 stars hotel.

We stayed hear for one night on our way down to the south of Spain. The Château is beautifully restored and elegant. Our room was in the tower and was perfect, spacious and quiet as we had our Dog with us.
There weren’t any restaurants in walking distance and the nearest place would be Châteauneuf. We decided to eat in the hotel and we had the 65€ set menu which was excellent the cheese board and wine list were extensive I would highly recommend eating there.
Breakfast the following morning was exceptional and the views of the surrounding countryside were very scenic, we even got to see some deer whilst eating our breakfast.
The staff were very accommodating and friendly
We don’t have any negatives about the stay a five stars property.

The Chateau Saints-Sabine was a true gem! The historic property was beautiful and in perfect condition—clean and stylishly-decorated. Our room in the Tower was luxurious and roomy with a comfortable 4-poster bed, a modern bathroom with a tub and a shower.

I wish there was a beyond excellent rating for the staff. From the moment we arrived at the chateau late in the evening we were given 5-star service but with a more personal touch. Since we arrived too late for dinner, we decided to have a drink in the elegant bar and when I asked if they had any snacks, which they did not, the woman from reception offered to make us some cheese plates. They were amazing! The best part of all is that she didn’t ask us to sign the drinks and cheese to our room; she knew who we were and our room number and added it to our tab. When I needed a restaurant recommendation the next, she found us a great spot nearby and when I was in need of a doctor due to a small injury, another staff member found someone in a nearby town and made an appointment right away!

Parking is free and easy, which is a plus. The grounds are beautiful, though we didn’t explore much or see the pool because it was cool and rainy during our stay. The only things I would hve wanted to add to our experience was a coffee maker and coffee in the room and perhaps a room service menu.

Fantastic! Wonderful place, room upgrade, pleasant, helpful staff. Always a collection of interesting cars in the car park or in the courtyard. Loved it.
It's a bit off the beaten track, so make sure you have a dinner reservation in the restaurant - we didn't, and missed out this trip. Sainte-Sabine is quiet and away from the tourist trail good spot from which to venture out into the Burgundy wine region.

We only stayed here for one night as a stop over....arriving at around 9.30 pm and leaving at 7am so we only had a very short stay. However, the hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, bed especially so. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was exellent. The hotel itself looked very impressive and what we did see that the surrounding area from our room view was very picturesque. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for one night on our way to the South of France. A really beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. Staff were excellent.
Also the restaurant was first class and the food, we choose the Gourmet menu was marvellous. However our main course of Lamb was not good, when we complained they corrected it very fast and efficiently.
My only slight criticism was that the wine list was on the expensive side, but the quality was excellent.
As it was Bastille day, they organised fireworks and every one was give a glass of champagne on the terrace over looking the fireworks.
Breakfast was also a treat in keeping with the evening meal.

Charming chateau; great staff and food!

Hotel staff were amazing. The ladies who worked at the front were always very helpful and kind, with a sense of humour as well! The food was absolutely the best. Pricy, but money well spent. A lot of time and precision goes into each dish. Our favourite waiter was Michel. We felt he loved his job and getting to know people and made the atmosphere very pleasant! Cons to the stay were that there was little to do around the area without driving 20-30 minutes. This was only a problem when it was raining and we were stuck inside. Although the hotel provides a bar and pool table and such, so that worked out. We mostly wanted to get out and explore. Also our wifi was terrible. Mine worked occasionally and my husbands only worked near the front desk.

Great gourmet - Chateau to stay with kids

Went to Chateau Sainte-Sabine with my wife and our 2 kids (1 & 4 years old). Really great place to rest and enjoy the parc (they have 20 fallow deers in there). The rooms inside the castlle are gorgeous, the restaurant is gourmet and all the staff really kids-friendly. The outdoor pool is a bit cold when cloudy or rainy for playing, but really OK if you want to swim.

Menu gourmand was an amazing achievement by the kitchen staff. Every course a delight to the eyes and the tastebuds. I've eaten in a quite a few Michelin starred restaurants and this was for me better than quite a few. From an English perspective the meal was also very reasonably priced and the wine list a delight.
Worth a detour if passing anywhere near.

This place was absolutely stunning. It is located in a small town but the beauty of the chateau is completely overwhelming. We stayed in a room in the tower and it was absolutely incredible. The rooms are a mix of spacious and modern yet still give off the presence of an old regal place. The staff are very accommodating and are always available to help you. We walked the grounds when we first arrived and there is a sprawling green with a lake. Our favorite spot was the balcony that overlooked everything where we sat for drinks before going down to a superb three course meal plus desert. When we arrived and told them we were vegetarian they quickly asked us what our restrictions were as to provide the best meal they could and they definitely did not disappoint. The chef made the most mouth watering risotto as the main course and we could not have been happier. The food was presented with such elegance and followed through with delicious tastes. The wine from the region is incredible as well and I would definitely try the chardonnay or the pinot from the region. I definitely plan on staying here again and trying out the other properties that the owner has.

We usually stay at the Ritz hotel chain because of the staff and attention to detail, but the Sainte Sabine rivaled any Ritz.

Wonderful experience. The chateau is magnificent, befitting the food and service.

The little village doesn't offer much, but the views of the countryside and another large chateau about four miles away are stunning.

We enjoyed a drink in the bar and coffee in the plush lounge after a five star dinner. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The staff treated us like long lost relatives.

The main disadvantage of the hotel is that it is a bit far away from the main activities. It's a 40 minute drive to Beaune, for example. The service at the hotel is very good and friendly.

The chateau and grounds are amazing . Rooms are great . Staff all very polite and knowledgeable . There are two drawbacks. The town you are in has nothing . However up the hill and down the road (15 min tops) at the castle there are a few shops and some restaurants. The hotels restaurant is sooooo slow. France takes longer due to the multi courses. It's beyond that! We waiting 25 between courses . Tried a second night , a little better but still insanely long . Good food but who cared at that point :(

The hotel is undoubtably very nice. The furnishings are trendy and overall it's a very cool place to stay .. We had an issue with accomodation in that we'd booked a room with the understanding there was a sofa for our son to sleep on. It was a standard room and the details said the sofa was available. But when we checks-in, there was no sofa just a double bed. There was no alternative offered and a temporary (camp) bed would have been too big to fit in the room. So I recommend you check in detail what is available for the room configuration. In the end our son slept on the floor for one night with additional bedding provided. Despite that hiccup the actual hotel is very nice and the food is top class . The gourmet menu is excellent. . The grounds are ok and there's an outdoor pool but not heated. The best thing about this hotel is the food, the decor, the style and the surrounding countryside. I would recommend it for a romantic weekend but not for a family break.

Chateau Sainte Sabine is a lovely renovated chateau in the Burgundy region. The staff is warm and helpful. The restaurant could not be any better. We ate a late lunch, and the staff kindly allowed us to just have coffee and salad. That evening we had two menu dinners, both of which were fantastic. Chateau Sainte Sabine is one of the nicest places we have ever been to in France.

This is a very beautiful Chateau well located in Burgandy for wine enthusiasts. The Chateau is right next a very pretty church as well. The Chateau is very well maintained. The restaurant on site is very nice, but also quite expensive. The room we stayed in, which was the most basic was quite small and didn't have a wine cork screw in it (when in Burgandy this would be nice).

Stay here, worth it in every way!

Very welcoming, and helpful staff (especially Crystal!), went out of their way to help us when we were having problems with our rental car. Clean, comfortable, plenty of room, fridge, beautiful setting/atmosphere, superb breakfast and dinners, very close to canal (have bikes to use on site), and Chateau (make it a point to do both), wish we stayed here longer. During our two week visit to France, this was our favorite place to stay. You won't be disappointed!!

Fantastic Stay

From start to end, we had fantastic service here. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and it was very relaxing sitting by the lake. We also had dinner here which was wonderful as the sun was setting. Highly recommended.

Secluded, Quiet Getaway

This was a beautiful chateau hotel tucked away in a tiny town. Naturally, it was very serene and peaceful, but also a bit further away from any larger towns or tourist attractions. After spending a week in Paris, this was an extremely relaxing getaway. Must have a car to get here, and it was about a 25-30 minute drive to get to Beaune and a lot of the wine tasting in the Burgundy region. Only slight downside for us was that there are a lot of birds in the area that chirp in the morning. The hotel does a great job of having double-pane windows, so the sound is faint, but you can still hear it in the morning

Lovely chateau in the heart of Burgundy

Excellent - the staff upgraded our room which had a wonderful view of Chateauneuf. Also, the sheets were fabulous!
