Wonderful place to stay. Right off the bat, we loved the eclectic but comfortable decor in both the lobby and our room. The rooms themselves are clean and spacious, with plenty of amenities available.

Poky was a great host, very communicative, and immediately had a ton of great recommendations for us when he learned we didn't really have any set plans upon our arrival. If you ever need to refresh your memory on his sightseeing suggestions, he has them helpfully documented in binders in the lobby. We went to several tourist locations and coffee shops from his list, and they were all hits. It was also great to chat a little with him as we were enjoying the provided breakfast. (Along with the coffee/tea drinks he prepared for us!)

Now we wish we'd been able to stay a little longer! If we go back to Tainan again, we'd definitely love to stay at Chez Poky again.

« Chez Poky » était certainement l’un des meilleurs endroits où j’ai séjourné. Le déjeuner traditionnel taïwanais, toujours délicieux, changeait chaque matin. La chambre était impeccable et très confortable. La maison était décorée avec goût et il était fort agréable de passer du temps dans la salle commune. Ce qui a rendu ce séjour vraiment spécial, c’est la chaleur de notre hôte. Merci Poky! Nous espérons revenir bientôt à Tainan 😊

We loved this characterful and stylish home in one of Tainan’s typical alleys.

We had a huge room with a large room and plenty of room to hang your clothes.

The bed was large, albeit a little hard for us but this is a very personal thing for people and it will suits others..the shower and bath room were excellent with a decent shower.

The public areas had tables for breakfast or even to eat your own food.

The breakfast was local and a great experience.

The owner was the ultimate professional, and seemed have thought of everything

Chez Poky is the BEST B&B in Tainan. It exceeds 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. It's well designed, beautifully decorated, and the host, Poky Hsu is friendly, helpful and gave us the VIP treatment, as I'm sure he does with all his guest. His guidance and recommendations for Tainan are spot on! The Taiwanese breakfasts served were delicious with beverage and fruit. The amenities were plentiful, including thick plush cotton towel, complimentary snacks and beverages. Poky recommended a specialty dessert place called Katsura, which we would have never tried without him telling us
Thank you Poky for a most memorable time in Tainan.
Rating: 10 and highly highly recommend this place. You can't go wrong!

From the location on a small quiet street, to the extremely well-appointed, large, comfortable and quiet room in a beautifully designed home, to the breakfast offerings that changed daily, to Poky's warm & welcoming professionalism our stay was fantastic. Poky was always there to help when we needed it, especially for foodie dining recommendations and equally there just to chat when we were on our way out or in after a full day in Tainan. He is also fluent in English and can point you to places to visit, present local delicacies at the breakfast table, and call taxi services for you. I can’t recommend this bed and breakfast enough!

To start the room we booked was large, clean and comfortable.

The breakfast provided is selected from local places in Tainan, and you get to try the amazing local cuisines.

There’s also a great movie collection you can choose from downstairs, and it was a great way for us to unwind after a long day of exploring Tainan.

There is so much more to say about how amazing the host, and the space is, but I’d just say to book it and experience for yourself if there is availability.

A design aficionado’s hotel

We had a delightful stay at Chez Poky. It is clear that each detail, from the decor, to the tableware, to the toiletries and in-room snacks was chosen with great care and thought. There were so many beautiful things to look at, and an incredible selection of films you can borrow to watch in your room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was also very enjoyable - each morning, we were treated to a local Tainanese dish, with a helpful explanation of its history and significance. Poky, the proprietor, was also incredibly helpful and polite, and he is clearly a foodie with the food offerings and local food recommendations. I cannot say enough good things about this boutique hotel! I hope to be able to stay here again.

We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere provided by our host, Poky. This included a comfortable lobby with many books and soothing background music.

Our host also provided a great many tips on places to see and eat.

Our room was modern and comfortable. It was quiet for sleeping. Breakfast was gathered from famous local restaurants and was elegantly served. We enjoyed our three nights here and look forward to coming back again.

I visited Tainan for the first time last week and I’m so glad I stayed at Chez Poky’s for my first visit to Tainan. I had a few places to check out but Poky generously took the time to show me and my partner some of the must-visit locations as a local. The B&B was in a quiet yet convenient location as well, we were walking distance to Guohua road, Hayashi Dept Store, the Confucius Temple, and Snail Alley. Anping District was also a short 15-20 min ride away too. The breakfasts that Poky prepared were delightful as well, and I wouldn’t have tried those foods on my own. Staying at Chez Poky really added to the experience of visiting Tainan since it was similar to staying at a friend’s or cool uncle’s house. I felt right at home. I also ended up making use of his huge DVD collection too since my partner wasn’t feeling well, so that happened to work out well even if it wasn’t part of our original travel plans! If you love movies, definitely ask Poky about his favorites and he may recommend some movies you’ve never heard of. I’m definitely staying at Chez Poky again when I return to Tainan and can’t really imagine staying anywhere else.

一趟臨時起意的旅行，在搜尋住宿的時候，偶然發現了這間旅客評分滿分的民宿，於是毫不猶豫的訂了。果然厲害，一完成預訂，民宿主人的就主動和我聯絡，安排入住並提供有用的資訊。不論是客房或公共區域都看得出精心的設計，主人還給我們行程建議，一路吃吃逛逛就可以到赤崁樓和其他景點，值得一提的是每天早餐有不同的在地美食，客房裡也有飲料和小點心，一切都很滿意，難怪是住過的都說好，大推！

This was our second stay at Poky’s. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood that’s still walkable to all the sites in the city.

The owner Poky has extensive knowledge of the city and makes great recommendations for restaurants! The library has a number of travel guides we can borrow during our stay.

Poky's place is great. The place is located in a quiet street in the central part of the TaiNan City. Walking distance to many tourist spots. The place is modern and clean, like a 5 star hotel, but better. The owner Poky is very friendly and prompt to requests. He personally got the freshly made breakfast for his guests every morning. We specially enjoyed the shared living area which is decorated with owner's personal collection of books, Movies and travel books. Highly recommend this place if you ever visit TaiNan

Chez POKY was a beautiful place! My husband and I appreciated the movie posters, the walls of classic Chinese novels and classic rock albums... the decor gave off a very relaxed, adult vibe. The entire building was kept impeccably clean and felt extremely modern, with polish in all the right places (soft-close hinges and lighted outlets!) The owner was very knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations about the best sights and eats in the area. We loved that our host prepared our breakfast with ingredients gathered from one of the well-known areas for awesome local food. We liked how Chez POKY was a short walk away from the more popular tourist areas -- it made for a quieter night-time experience! Our only regret was that we only stayed at Chez POKY for one night -- we agree with the owner in that the best way to enjoy Tainan is to \"enjoy the city at a slow pace\"; we will definitely be staying for longer next time we are in town!

優しくて親切なpokyさん、快適でおしゃれな設備、とても美味しい朝ごはん。思い出すとhappyな気持ちになります。10歳になる息子への贈り物が台南旅行でしたが、最高の思い出になりました。いわゆる町のど真ん中の立地ではないですが、きれいな路地裏にあり、静かな環境なのもよかったです。
日本語の台南ガイドブックやDVDも貸し出しがあり、部屋で見ることができます。夜は息子と天空の城ラピュタを借りて部屋で盛り上がりました。
また台南旅行の時にはお世話になりたいです！ありがとうございました。

實至名歸的滿分民宿

雖然是民宿，但是房間的裝潢、空間、用品、規劃樣樣都不比星級飯店差
百吉老闆相當親切，很樂於和客人們聊天也分享了很多附近好吃好玩的景點。
早餐是用當地好吃的小吃，相當有特色，客廳營造的氣氛，讓人很想一整天都賴在沙發上，滿分10分實至名歸呀！
可惜這次停留時間太少，下次去台南一定會再拜訪續住

想說怎麼可能會有各大訂房網站滿分的民宿
結果住宿體驗非常好
已經好久沒有住到這麼棒的民宿了
一樓的裝潢陳設
看得出老闆非常有品味
態度也很好很親切
進房間時真的忍不住「哇」讚嘆
房間很大、乾淨，氣味香氛非常舒服
一樓可以聽音樂，老闆提供餐具，買回民宿的食物可以在一樓用餐
寢具也很好，我第一次住到想把枕頭買回家的民宿🤣
早餐有三個時段可以選擇
熱騰騰的肉羹跟肉圓👍
還有水果跟飲料
一樓也有老闆推薦的台南景點跟餐廳
完完全全可以感受到老闆的用心
早上老闆看我們在看他們提供的景點推薦，也熱心的介紹

我跟朋友以前也是在民宿跟飯店工作過的
這家真的是品質跟水準真的是非常好

「百吉家」是令我再次想去台南旅遊的理由，當踏進門口的第一步，眼睛跟嘴巴會同步呼叫「嘩！」

這裡的每一個細節，可以看到對旅客的細心。那充滿台南風味的早餐，令人回味！充滿電影感的佈置，那裏都是打卡的好地方。

去台南沒有住在「百吉家」是最大的損失。很想將所拍的照片放出來，讓大家欣賞這好地方。

オススメのお店や観光スポットを教えていただき、台南を満喫することができました。

共用部分やお部屋は写真通りのとっても素敵な空間でした。
お部屋は清潔でアメニティも豊富。そして良い香りでテンションが上がりました！
手作りの朝食もとっても美味しかったです。

整體來說是不錯的，優點是有設計感，屋主回應即時，且有濃厚的電影與藏書收藏，能有不一樣的民宿體驗；不過樓梯較狹小，如果有電梯能更輕鬆一點，內部的電視和播放器能升級，才能匹配樓下大量的電影收藏，有更完美的影音體驗！

在百吉家的住宿體驗非常美好，老闆親切貼心的介紹環境，房間本身的整潔與舒適，再加上有好吃的手作早餐，雖然不是五星級飯店，但卻有五星級賓至如歸的感覺，下次來台南還會選擇入住，非常推薦！

真心推薦～

住宿環境非常乾淨整潔，一進去大廳就覺得很舒適，完全無異味，老闆本人很有品味/氣質；特別喜歡大廳的那面書牆/DVD，都可以借閱至房裡看，就算不出門也不會無趣，覺得這點很棒！
處處都可以看到老闆的巧思與用心，衛浴設備/硬體也都是精心挑選過的，一直幻想如果是自己的家該有多好 XD

早餐是台南特色小吃，比外面的好吃，而且超飽，下次再到台南，還是會想再訪，真心推薦。

整體入住的過程非常簡捷，整體環境非常優美，入住的房間寬敞清潔，整體的體驗是非常棒的，唯一一個小小的建議就是可以加裝個循環風扇讓房間裡面的溫度可以更平均，因為冷氣出風口與床是在房間的兩側，雖然距離不遠，但有明顯的溫差，所以睡覺的時候會感覺比較熱

Wonderful B&B Experience in Tainan

Very pleasant stay with super nice, friendly and helpful staff. The room is clean, tidy, spacious, modern and comfortable. The local cuisine breakfast provided by the owner was something we looked forward every morning. Overall we had an excellent time at Chez Poky and we look forward for our next visit in the future!

Cozy, familiar, and super nice host!
In a quiet area of Tainan - Poky has setup a really nice place to stay. Custom Tainan breakfast eats every day with helpful and warm hosting.

An amazing and wonderful stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights and the host is really friendly and warm, we really enjoyed our stay with cozy decoration and very comfortable and relaxing scent around the house.

The host has a very good taste on the house decoration and the toiletries selection, there are enough socket in the room which is so important for travelers.

No wonder this hotel can have this such high rating, you will like it after you experience, I really recommended this place if you are visiting Tainan
