The owners were incredibly lovely and helpful, great for a chat over breakfast and any time we crossed paths. They had ideas and suggestions of where to go and what to do and very much gave a homely feeling to our stay.

The breakfast was delicious. They made a full English breakfast both days to order whilst also having a selection of different cereals, fruits and pastries. They had tea, coffee and juice all available and were incredibly dedicated to making the stay as great as possible.

The room was clean and well maintained and also had tea, coffee and a mini fridge with milk to ensure we had what we could want. The beds were very comfortable, curtains were blackout, radiator was on but we also had the windows open so could happily regulate the temperatures as we needed.

Torquay city centre is only 10 minute walk away so there are a wealth of entertainment options nearby and the owners were full of recommendations if we wanted them.

All in all it was an amazing place to stay and I highly recommend and will definitely be staying there again in the future.

We had a lovely, well stocked room in a quirky, characterful property. The house is very clean and well decorated with an abundance of interesting artwork and curiosities. Our room was excellent as were the hosts and they certainly go the extra mile to make the stay an enjoyable one. Breakfast is amazing and left me completely satisfied. This is now our go to option for staying in this area and we'll definitely be back. We're so happy that we discovered this little gem.

Absolutely amazing. We love our weekend stay from first minute. Jan and Steve very friendly and professional. Property very clean and nicely decorated. Our room very cosy ✨️ bed very comfy we had very very good sleep. We was there with our dog which was just spoiled. You have in the room everything what you need. Even blanket and bowls for doggy 🐕 we recommend for everyone and families and couples. 5min walk one way to the centre and 5 min to the beach. Definitely very good location. Will be definitely back there. Love every minute there 😊 superb English breakfast 👌

Highly recommend - 5 stars!!

I would absolutely recommend this place to stay for anyone. The hosts were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed in a lot of B&Bs over the years including others in the Paignton area and this one was by far the best. Great as they accept small dogs as well so we could bring our doggie, thank you SO much for a wonderful few days

Fantastic property with amazing hosts!

Fantastic property with wonderful hosts. They were super accommodating even going to get some BBQ sauce for our daughter as she'd asked for it with her cooked breakfast on the 1st morning.
The room was lovely and beds were super comfortable.

We are just coming back from a lovely long weekend there and were very well looked after, spoiled even. A lovely charming accommodation with great hosts in a walking distance to the harbour and all the main amenities. Very clean and cosy, convenient parking just outside on the street, great cooked breakfast and fantastic variety too. Totally recommend!

I highly recommend this B&B.

My partner and I had some car issues on route and our host was super accommodating and helpful.

The building is beautiful, we had a very comfortable bed, is was clean and tidy throughout and in the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. 10/10.

The upfront communication was very good so we were well prepared for our stay. We found parking just outside the restrictions and only 15 yds from the B&B, so left our car there for the duration. A parking permit was available should we have needed it. To note, from Torquay town centre there is a hill to negotiate. That isn't unique this B&B as there are many establishments in the same location and beyond. It's something to bear in mind, for us it was a useful way to work off dinner.

We had ensuite room at the top of the house. It's very homely and was spotlessly clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable and we had everything that we could possibly need for a perfect stay. We had to book a time slot for breakfast due to social distancing which was no trouble at all. Breakfast was exceptionally good and that comes from two vegetarians, one of whom is very fussy.

There is a lovely lounge area and pleasant outdoor seating too. We didn't take advantage following long days spent exploring and a good dose of sea air.

Dawn is the perfect host and helped greatly with our itinerary. I had carried out some research but missed an option that was suggested, the Paignton to Kingswear steam train leg with included ferry to Dartmouth. I'd discounted this thinking it was only part of the "Round Robin".

It's a while since I have stayed at a B&B, from this experience it would be a simple yes to staying here again.

Dawn was just the loveliest lady, very warm and hospitable. The house itself is just gorgeous and full of character, we have a sneaking suspicion Dawn likes a duck or two. Breakfast was delicious and service was excellent. The wealth of information Dawn provides in her welcome pack is second to none. Make sure to visit and you wont be disappointed.

My partner and I had a 4 night stay here in one of the family rooms (1 double and 1 single) with ensuite . Everything was extremely clean, and the complimentary toileteries (including conditioner!) was a lovely touch. The breakfast was so delicious with various options to cater for different tastes and appetites. The B&B is well located and only a short walk to the harbour and town centre, as well as the beautiful Meadfoot beach. Dawn the owner is lovely and hospitable. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

We had a fantastic stay at Ashleigh house. The room was fully equipped, very clean and very comfortable. Dawn and David were friendly and welcoming. Our boys fell in love with Oscar, the resident dog. The location was great for us, very quiet. It is uphill, but only a short walk to the harbour.

One word.....Great. Stayed for 3 nights. Hosts were welcoming and very helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Parking can be difficult, but there are a number of roads by the property where I found parking if none was available in front of the guest house. Oscar the resident dog was the 'icing on the cake'. He is the star of Ashleigh House.

Great warm welcome by owners, everywhere very clean. Breakfasts beautifully cooked to order with any combination you can think of plus fresh fruit and cereal to start, yogurt and cereal bars for the children etc. We have never had such a large choice of wonderfully fresh food. Great BnB, easy walk to harbour

Myself and partner stayed for 2 nights and were warmly welcomed by Dawn, the owner. Great hospitality, comfort and location! I must've missed the warning upon booking of the presence of their lovely dog, but which wasn't a problem for us! Dawn bent over backwards to accommodate our breakfast times as well, and it was very much appreciated, not to mention how delicious and copious they were!

Great B&B for our 5 person family

We enjoyed a room that accommodated our 5 person family better than anywhere else I've stayed. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious (try the croissants!) and plentiful. We enjoyed a beautiful hike around Torbay that I highly recommend - great views and an interesting tour of local caves.

Experienced a family room for the three of us which would have comfortably accommodated two adults and three children. Light and airy pleasant room, wonderful quiet location not far from the centre / sea front. Family run, with good standard of food and hygiene.

I am glad to state that Ashleigh House gets a genuine 5 out of 5!

A fantastic holiday from the warm, friendly greeting, especially from Oscar the resident welcoming committee. To the worst part, going home. I highly recomend the full English breakfast. A wonderfully stylish, modern, clean & homely guest house. With very friendly & accommodating proprietors. Situated in a quiet, pituresque part of Torquay about 10 minutes walk down hill to the main harbour & town center. Hope to go back in the not too distant future.

We stayed in the House for one night on 3rd April 2016. Our room was clean. I was surprised to find cotton buds, face pads, shampoo and conditioner. Bedding was nice and clean. Comfortable beds. On the coffee table we found a folder with useful information about the room, neighberhood and history of the House.
