Rooms are outdated but functional. There’s a food that was left on our fridge from the previous guests that was never cleaned before we got there. Remote of TV was not working and had to call for service. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. I love where the location is, really convenient to all the attractions and just few mins walk to waikiki beach.

DO NOT BOOK HERE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. None of the windows close properly so it literally sounds like you’re right on the street. Theres construction next door at all hours and a karaoke bar on site which is open til 2am with people yelling. The blinds also do not block out the sun so your room will be daylight at 5am. Tried to check out a day early and book somewhere else and the manager refused a refund. Feeling upset and anxious all day now because I couldn’t sleep.

The internet and tv would fail nightly. The AC was not working properly. It was installed with gaps to the outside so cold air would escape. The bathroom shower valves were not normal and almost burned myself once. I would not recommend staying there at all.

The location is great, the staff was very helpful, the room was clean and had plenty of space. Unfortunately the room we were in didn't look quite like the pictures and had a full wall of 4\" louvre windows, which provide no insulation against sound or temperature. There was so much noise (AC, street traffic, people talking, bar music, trash trucks and more) going ALL night that we got less than an hour of sleep.

Staff was super nice and friendly especially Avri and Sean. Room was basic but fine. Parking was sold out but I was accommodated with a stall outside the hotel which is better than none and I'm grateful for the discounted parking cost for being a Hawai’i resident. Area a little sketchy with some homeless behind but staff was quick to respond to a concern of someone sleeping on the back stairs near the parking. The karaoke bar Wang Chungs in the hotel was a lot of fun and my bartender he was awesome! wish there were end tables on both sides of the bed to make charging tech easier. Shower needs to get fixed because it kept dripping. But got really hot also. Soap/body wash dispensers were a little difficult to use but I'm glad they were provided though. I would stay there again for its simplicity and staff hospitality.

Where to begin! As soon as we entered the hotel, Maile greeted us with such a friendly and warm aloha! Maile and Sean were super resourceful, knowledgeable, and all around great people to converse with! They took care of our family and friends and were so friendly! Jorge, a newer front desk agent, brought the same energy and he is a great addition! The room itself exceeded my expectations when choosing a budget hotel. I was pleasantly surprised and loved that the hotel is constantly getting worked on! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was a wonderful guy who was working hard on improving his property! We stayed for 12 days and I’m very happy with our trip here.

You're not finding the bargain you think you are... This is an old property that is trying to make a comeback but has some significant obstacles to overcome. Weird hurricane crank windows: In our room, they didn't open, and you can't see through them. So no views in any room. But definitely translucent, which we discovered when we turned off the lights and saw still a lot of light coming from the exterior lights off other buildings. No blackout curtains, which seems like it would have been an easy fix for something that would bother a lot of people. Looked like a summer 7:30pm outside when we turned the lights off at 10pm.
Secondly, the old construction wasn't so advanced in dampening sound. Lots of outside noise, including a nearby club with music till after 1pm which I could hear even with earplugs in.
We expected to pay $35 for parking, not happy about it, but expecting; but what we didn't expect was that the parking would be sold out and we would have to park a 10 minute walk away.
Add to these, lack of attention to detail, such as how the shampoo dispenser was either broken or out of shampoo, same for hand soap, and old and showing wearing furniture, finishes and fixtures, and cheap mattress... the whole package was just cheap, not a find.
All that said, location is PREMIUM, and price is cheap compared to other options in that area, so if you just want to be where the Waikiki action is, and style and comfort aren't that important to you, the price is right.

I love the staff, very helpful and accommodating. I got the queen deluxe room if I’m not mistaken with a sofa bed. We’re a fam of 4 and we stayed there for 7 days. Very comfy. AC is super okay. I would definitely go back and book again with Stay Hotel. Very close to restaurants, mall and beach.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had in Waikiki. The room looked nothing like the photos shown on the website. It felt old, worn down, and in need of significant updates.

One of the biggest issues was the windows. They were old and did not close properly, so street noise and nearby construction noise were extremely loud and could be heard throughout the day and night. There were no blackout curtains, only broken shades that did little to block the light, making it difficult to sleep.

The bed was very old and uncomfortable, and the air conditioner was so loud that it became difficult to relax or get a good night’s rest. The bathroom was also extremely small, outdated, and not what I expected based on the listing.

For the price and location, I expected much better accommodations. The photos were misleading and did not accurately represent the condition of the room. I would not stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for our needs! It's literally 1 block from Waikiki beach, and there are restaurants and shops everywhere. I loved the complimentary coffee, and the staff are wonderful! We were able to check our luggage after check out while we went to Pearl Harbor. When we returned from our tour, the staff retrieved our luggage quickly and got us a cab to take us to our cruise port. I definitely recommend if you are looking for simple accommodation in a perfect location in Honolulu. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to do karaoke in the on-site bar, but we could hear the music from the lobby and I met the bar staff one night. They were super friendly and the next time I'm in Honolulu I will definitely be going there for some karaoke and fun!

The room was clean, and overall it was a decent stay for the price. I do wish the TVs had Roku or other streaming options, as they felt a bit outdated with only cable available. The bathroom was older, and the water pressure wasn’t the best.

One negative was that my soup was never refilled during my stay. The bed was also just okay—it felt like a fairly flat mattress and wasn’t the most comfortable. Other than those issues, it was a decent value overall. Parking was also another huge factor.

Hotel is in a fantastic location, super close to the beach and the main street. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Staff was friendly, room has fridge, microwave, hairdryer, good coffee in the lobby, the only thing i didnt like was very limited parking and when we checked in there was no parking available for us so we had to park 5 blocks away at waikiki banyan parking and pay $50 per night. Parking at the hotel is $45 per night and they have a surprise hotel fee of $52 for 3 nights we were there. Overall i recommend it if u dont mind not having parking.

The staff members were really kind and helpful to us in all the little ways that make staying somewhere a good experience. They provided extras like beach gear, free laundry access and supplies, luggage storage for many hours before our flight after checkout. The cleaning crew offered extra cleanings after our mistake deposited sand all over the bathroom with a smile and a “please don’t worry about it” attitude.

The location of the hotel cannot be beaten. It is just a block from the best part of the beach in Waikiki. It’s across from the Hyatt which is a meeting spot for many excursions. The best little restaurant and bar (Shore Frye) is a half block away. If you, like us, realize that your trip to Waikiki is heavily packed with excursions and you won’t be in the room except to sleep, this hotel is perfect. The beds are comfortable. It is an older hotel and it shows but the price is right and the staff makes the experience of staying there a good one.

We had to park at the International Market for the first 2 nights and had to ask hotel staff to unblock our car so we could leave when we did get on site parking. We also had to listen to bad karaoke every single night from the bar on site. We just needed parking and a place to sleep and both were difficult. When the karaoke ended, the room was still light due to not having blackout curtains on windows that are broken and don’t open. The bathtub was also interesting with a metal plate where the faucet usually would be but that’s better than the ceiling vent held up with scotch tape.

It's nothing fancy but it has more than some of the high end hotels. Staff is great from the front of the house to house keeping. The knowledge of the surrounding area for food recommendations and activities. The house keeping where very good and nice and whatever you need they got for you. One of the biggest things was the free laundry service and supplying you with soap and dryer sheets. They have a lot of little things that make a beach day perfect by letting you use beach chairs and umbrellas even sunblock and aloe vera for the sun burned. It's a hiding gem walking distance to everything. It was our first time going to Hawaii and they made it memorable

This was really disappointing. The property was much older than expected. There is no way this hotel is a 3 star with 8 guest rating. The mattress was small and really old. I went through the spring to the bed frame. Which the bed frame sat really low to the floor. The carpet was very old and stained. The bathroom was beat up, old and looked like it was in the film Psycho. We moved first thing in the morning to another hotel at a significant cost. The stay was very friendly and kind. But I did not fly all the way to Hawaii to stay in a hotel like this.

The staff was nice, greeted us every time we came in the hotel. Staff were very helpful and available 24/7 they stored away our luggage after we checked out so we could hang at the beach until our flight time and provided umbrellas for us to use. We had a welcome gift waiting for us upon arrival. They cleaned our room daily which wasn’t necessary but it was nice. I didn’t have time to go to the bar but it looked like people were always having fun when I passed by. I enjoyed the provided coffee in the lobby every morning. The location is 1 min away from the beach! I highly recommend this place!

just need a cheap place to sleep and you don’t mind a cramped bathroom, limited toiletries, really loud air conditioner, windowless room. The surprise ‘resort fee’ nearly doubled the cost of the room. We didn’t have time to use the beach stuff but that may have been useful if we did. Staff was professional and friendly.

The Karaoke Bar that is opened from 7pm-2am every night was very disruptive to my sleep. The sound just travelled up the walls, so trying to get to sleep before 2am is impossible. Then at 5am every morning I would get woken up by the garbage collective for Hyatt Regency which is across the road. So having only about 3 hours of sleep every night is not how I would wanted my stay in Waikiki to be.

We let the property know that we're flying in to celebrate my wife's birthday. She was happy to see an assortment of treats and a hand-written greetings waiting for her. It is VERY close to the beach. I'm wondering before the Hyatt in front, they would have been a hotel with a great view.
The intake was nice, the staff is pleasant. They give you free laundry access which is a huge plus for washing sand off our clothes. They also offer free beach towels and other equipment.
Overall very pleasant stay. Would come again.

Windows dont have panes they are glass shutters that dont close all the way so it is kind of noisy. The bathroom is size of a closet the door hits the sink and you have close the door squeeze past to make it to the stall. Room seemed clean staff was nice. I didnt understand why they called to ask me how check in was on the 2nd day. I mean its in a great location food and ABC store are less than 100ft and ocean is less than a block away. Has a small in house bar with karaoke seem pretty hopping. Overall i would stay again for the price.

Excellent location, staff was very friendly, and room was good for the price. Nothing to complain about.
