Great Location, short stroll to Stoney Creek Stores, which was ideal for Cafe Style Breakfast, Spacious Room, Huge King Size Bed, Fantastic Warm indoor Pool. little faults that needed improvement dust not wipe off Front of Split System in room, Didn't have a Tea Towel to Dry dishes, out side surrounding, External Spouts need cleaning, unless there is water restrictions, the lawn / Grass area very dry, leaves Twigs not raked up, these little faults are for feedback, The Stay was Fantastic, good value for money, would recommend a stay.

The laundry was shocking condition, there was kangaroo poo everywhere around the grounds,front door of my room in poor condition, bathroom shower door did not operate properly. Room was dark, outside awning over the bedroom was heavily built up with mould and dirt. The reception had an or out of body odour, and spices. Was a bit disappointing.

The gentleman in reception was very kind in all communications. Especially for our wellbeing, driving over late, into some terrible weather. The service even impressed my 12yr old daughter! “He’s so nice, mum.”
The location was central to everything you can do in halls gap.

On arriving at check in time the office was unattended and had to call and wait to check in.
Room was VERY dated. Linen was VERY old and towels were thread bare and frayed. Pillows and quilt were so thin.
Shower did not get past luke warm and the noise from the pipes was so loud.
Split system did not work properly and my partner checked the filters which were SOOOO thick with dust. We washed these in the kitchen sink and then it worked fine.
Position wise the property was in the heart of town.
You definitely get what you pay for here!

The room was bigger than expected, very very close to all the shops, we could walk to everything, so very convenient. Check in was simple.
The only one downfall was the fireplace in the room just looked a bit grubby, which didn’t particularly bother me personally but I can imagine it may bother others. So my suggestion would be either just get rid of it completely or put in an enclosed fireplace instead. Otherwise our stay was great.

The rooms are very spacious but dated. The grounds are large with bbq's and picnic tables. It's very quiet and in the centre of town.
The pool is not in use and hasn't been for some time. This should be shown on the website

Rather dated property and age really shows in the facilities like the kitchenette, shower and television etc. Room is decently clean with some odd stains here and there (carpet /walls) However location is excellent, very close to amenities, walkable and near to the starting point for trails, easy to drive to and from hiking trails. Staff also very helpful and friendly. Discount offered at diner too if you show your lodge key.

The setting was very pleasant.
Positioning for car parking needs to be more obvious.
Maintenance had been done. For example a new a/c unit had been installed, you could see where the previos unit was, and where the power was a hole had not been filled in.
The shower was tempramental from acceptably hot then ran cold, even when the flow was slow.
Otherwise the bed was comfortable. We had to put a folded blanket under the pillows to give a bit more height.
The shower towels were more like hand towels.
Glad it was only a couple of nights. But we still enjoyed our stay.

It is in the perfect position on regards to walkability within the township of halls gap.
It was comfortable and roomy.
The plants around the carparking spaces could do with a good prune.
I understand that most places have wet rooms now for the bathrooms however I am nt convinced with these, the floor gets very wet and slippery and there is no way to dry it other than using towels etc provided for personal use.

Great location - very near to V/Line stops, shops, restaurants, Grampians National Park, etc.

Relaxing and peaceful atmospheres - mountains, trees, kangaroos, kookaburras, etc.

Spacious room, comfortable bed and enjoyable amenities e.g. television, kettle and hair dryers

Apart from mini shampoo, lotion and milk, there was no tea and snack in my room like my other group members' ones. However, I was content and very pleased with my stay here. The room may need some airations as there was some mild smell when I first entered it, and may need a little bit more of TLC especially in the restroom and kitchen areas.

We liked the convenience of the property. Very close to shops and eating places. Bed was comfortable. Got clean towels every day.
We had to ask staff to fix the door. It was hard to get in and out of our room. Staff fixed it two days after. Didn't want to use the open fire in our room as ash had damaged the carpet in front of the fire. Walls were visibly dirty from fire ash/smoke. Towels not very clean looking.

Very badly run. Staff inattentive. Property advertised Kitchenette, but was missing microwave, no dish washing facilities in the room. Bathroom vanity was in the kitchenette, which was very inconvenient. Bathroom floor was dangerous (very slippery). Shower head would not stay put and was too low.
Biggest problem was getting the staff to service the room. 4 days in and they had not been near the room. we had to ask for new towels, which they didn't full service all. day 5 we had to ask for the sheets to be changed and towels, coffee, sugar etc. to be supplied this still had not been done on a regular basis like every other hotel i have stayed in. They got the message after we put it in writing on the managements desk, as we could not find anyone in attendance. For the rest of our stay which was 8 days they changed the towels daily. They had also taken the gas heater out of the room, as there was a connection for one and the room next door had one. I would suggest the gas and micro
wave had broken down and were never replaced. I wouldn't stay there again. They need to lift their game, big time.

The “free wi-fi” did not exist.
The cooking facility, microwave , did not exist.
The outdoor lighting was disfunctional, so much so I fell over in the rain and dark.
The guttering outside our room was blocked . Hence a large pool of mud and water gathered at the entrance.
Matthew, the contact person listed at the mostly vacant office, didn’t return any call.
Dissatisfaction and disappointment.

We stayed in the deluxe double room with spa and loved it. A spacious, comfortable room with 80s decor. A gas fireplace and a spa bath too! Very relaxing. A very short walk to restaurants and shops.
Only disappointed that the indoor pool was \"out of order\". Also the spa jets weren't working. Overall though, a really comfortable place to stay.

Reception was unmanned in the middle of the afternoon.We had to ring a mobile number and someone walked down from a distance.
Very average basic accommodation, curtains were ripped and torn. There was an open tray of cigarette butts next to our door. The room was stone cold when we arrived. 2nd bedroom the heater did not work and was cold. It had an old fashioned shower curtain. Towels were very thin. Luckily we only booked one night.

The shower was really difficult to regulate. No matter what I tried, the temp would keep swinging from quite cool to very hot and back again. Quite frustrating. Apart from that it was very good, I enjoyed my stay there. It is a great location, very quiet yet only a very short walk to shops snd eateries.
