Would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Koh Phanang! Right on Haad Rin beach and perfect if visiting the full moon party! Beds were comfortable and our room was spacious. The staff were so kind and welcoming to us we felt right at home. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel and I hope to stay here again in the future!

This was by far one of our favorite if not favorite places we stayed on our trip to Thailand. The owner and staff are amazing and friendly. The food at the restaurant was probably some of my favorite meals in Thailand. The view of the ocean and beach from the restaurant adds to the experience. Stunning pool and very relaxing and lush grounds. I can't wait to be back someday.

We arrived during the Full Moon — a couple with two teenage girls — and stayed at a lovely resort in Haad Rin.
The place is simply perfect! Stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere, yet still close to everything happening on the beach.
The staff were friendly, smiling, and always happy to help with anything. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the pool overlooking the sea was just wow 🌊☀️

The dinner we had on the Full Moon night was excellent — delicious, varied, and served in a truly special atmosphere 🌕🍴

Loved Palita Lodge, the staff were excellent, kept guard over the property when Full Moon party was on, we could easily nip back to our room and use our clean toilet. Yummy free breakfast, beautiful Party Buffet and free cocktail. They even made us a packed lunch because we were leaving early for the boat. 100%recommend.

Most amazing place… no other resort in this area has the beachfront view and access like Palita. The beach is groomed every morning, and the sand is immaculate They have all sorts of things for guests to use such as beach cushions, life vests and even a surfboard! More quieter side of the beach but just steps away from so many restaurants, shops and bars. Perfect location for families, couples or solo guests.

Rooms very well maintained, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Can even book connecting rooms for multiple families. Breakfast included, made to order and every dish absolutely devious. The Restaurant had a huge selection and everything we tried was 10/10. Best and biggest pool in Koh Phangan!

The best part of this place was the people… The owners were on site every day making sure every detail was perfect. Going the extra mile every opportunity they had. All the workers were so kind and accommodating. It truly is like your second home. Can’t wait to go back with our family ❤️

Lovely lodge

Palita lodge is a lovely place to stay on Koh Phangan. We intentionally went on a waxing moon to avoid the craziness of full moon parties and it was quite peaceful. Few steps from the lodge restaurant and you are on the beach.The staff work very hard and are friendly and helpful. We would stay at Palita again if we find our way back to Koh Phangan.

Palita Lodge was lovely. We visited purposely during a waxing moon so we missed the party scene of the full moon. Right next to the beach and the grounds are gorgeous. The staff work very hard and are very kind and helpful. If we ever make our way back to Koh Phangan, I would stay at Palita. 🙏💕

The owners and staff go above and beyond to take care of guests. Free kayaks and SUP’s to borrow was a bonus and most of the guests don’t use them, but we did! Lots of smokers but that’s the norm in this part of the world. Beachfront location and very low key atmosphere made in a nice getaway.

Very friendly and family owned property - a home away from home!!! The cabins on the beach do not disappoint with the view however the room needs a little TLC. Comfy bed and pillows and hot water in both the sink and shower!!

Several great choices for food and never left hungry!

The property is a bit over grown with all the trees and bushes and the pool needs a bit of attention but it didn’t take away from our overall experience- Would definitely recommend!!

Wonderful hotel but bass plays all night long

The property is beautiful and in a great location. The bungalows are clean and the AC works great. The pool was excellent. The food in the restaurant was quite good and you can't beat the view.

The only problem with the property is not their fault at all. They are on the main \"party\" beach. While the rooms are a bit set back from the beach, you absolutely can hear the bass line from the nearest club until the wee hours of the morning. We expected it to be loud on the Full Moon night. The surprise was that the bass would play until 3 or 4 in the morning every single night of our 4 night stay! Otherwise, the service was great and I would highly recommend staying here.

Delicious food with proximity to the shops and full moon party if your interested in that. There is no DJs right at the front of the hotel during the party which is nice as you can get away from it and go to sleep at your leisure.
The buffet dinner they provide at the party was amazing. We had a very nice and peaceful stay at the hotel.

We absolutely loved every moment of our stay at Palita Lodge! The location was perfect, ammenities were beautiful and the rooms, although simple, were exactly what you would need for a beach villa. I cant praise the staff enough, they were beyond lovely and accomodating. Also, the free breakfasts were amazing! We couldnt believe we lucked out in finding this hotel. Nice hotel with great location

Great location, good breakfast with beach view, the room is very simple and even no kettle. I had problem with ants but they solve the problem immidetely. The hotels is kind of village and a lot of trees and nature outside so you need know that maybe some insects can enter your room but nothing special and scary (happened a lot in all the hotels in Koh pahngan) .

Stayed for half moon, slow season

The service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We forgot to get our deposit back for the key as they were helping us make special arrangements for our ride to the ferry and as we were boarding the ferry about 30 mins later, one of the staff came running down the dock to give us our 1000 bahts. Highly recommend this place. It was during the half moon that we stayed so this part of the beach is slow and we had a very quiet resort. Going down the beach you can hear music all night at the other hotels even during the off season. This hotel is right on the beach and they clean the sand out front every night.

For the quality of the room, service, and in-house food, this place is absolutely value for money. It is at the edge of Haad Rin beach and while not too far from the main activities, it was much quieter at night from the loud music.

Very Nice But Extremely Rustic

I was supposed to stay 3 nights. I only stayed 1. It was nothing the resort or staff did to make me change my plans. It was just that this resort is extremely rustic, rather bare bones. It was a bit too rustic for my taste.

The grounds are nice, as is the pool. The resort had no beach chairs which seems to be the norm on this beach. The staff was certainly 5 star although they leave the premises at 9 p.m. It felt like more of a cute adult sleepaway camp rather than a hotel or resort. The facilities are all in good working order and condition for what they were. Everything was clean.

If you want back-to-nature accommodations and like the super simple set up of this hotel (not a resort), then you will like this location. If you want or need any luxury or upmarket creature comforts, then perhaps Palita is not for you.

This \"resort\" is extremely rustic. Not worn out or dirty but RUSTIC. The rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained but bareboned and minimal albeit cute. It was clean and the facilities seemed to work. I only stayed one night because it just was not to my taste. (No closet, hangers, drawers (there are a couple of shelves, night front desk)

However the staff were extremely helpful and very nice.

If you want rustic, unsophisticated, old world Thaia, this place may be a good fix. If you are looking for any sort of luxury, you will be disappointed. With that disclaimer in mind, I do recommend it for people who want this type of accommodation.

Again, the workers/owners make up for the lack of modern amenities.

One night stay - Full Moon Party December 2016

Having been to the Full Moon Party before I was aware of the need to book in advance for somewhere good, and also that many places required a block booking of \"x\" days around the event.

With that in mind, I was pleased I could book for the night of the party itself only. In terms of expense, for someone on a two week vacation it was completely affordable, for someone backpacking for months on a budget (as I have done before) this would be a luxury stop.

The little lady who runs the Palita Lodge was lovely. Upon arrival we were given a drink on the house as we checked in, the room was great - air con, clean bathroom (absolute must) and a comfy bed. As with all accommodation around the party, we were informed of the rules and fines associated with fluorescent body paint - we stuck to the rules and got our full deposit back.

On the night of the party, the lady running the lodge put on a buffet for guests and once again provided a free drink - a very personal touch that I was impressed with. I couldn't believe this was included in my booking, it saved having to go out and eat before going to the party.

Location? - brilliant. For the party, it really is a short stroll down to the beach. It's situated at one end rather than in the middle, it will be loud all night but if you've had a few then you'll still sleep. There's a pool and bar area which we simply didn't have time to use. Breakfast was also decent and a ferry shuttle service was available for a reasonable price.

They will give you a room with a thin door between you and the room next to you and you could hear everything like it was your own room!!!
Our neighbours was a little noisy so we asked the management for a quite room and they moved us to different room but with the same problem - thin door when you literally have your neighbours inside your room! Ridiculous!

Staff was really OK but looks quite bitter. Try to smile sometimes.

Air condition wasn't so effective and we felt warm at night.

Breakfast - was good, but it's not a buffet so you can't take more then one meal (suppose you like juice & fruits - forget it)

Beach is good but it doesn't mean you need to be a hotel guest to enjoy it.

Pool was unattractive. It's big enough but something about the energies was unpleasant... Hard to explain. Anyway, no one actually used it.

Sorry to say, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a quiet and peaceful stay.

The location is spot on. The room are aesthetically pleasing however the air con was very noisy and didn't let out a pleasant smell. The beds are also rock hard which was not expected for such a pleasant looking room. But rooms were cleaned to a excellent quality everyday. Reception staff a little hit and miss to whether they were friendly and welcoming. We did the discovery diving and could not recommend it more highly, the staff were brilliant!!! The pool area is also lovely and relaxed. We only ever ate breakfast in the restaurant as there were much nicer restaurants for dinner. The restaurant looked a little worn down and would benefit from a refurbishment. All in all this is a good hotel especially for the value of money but would not stay there against simply down to the comfort of the beds.

Full moon paradise perfection

Me and three friends stayed here in the midst of traveling the country for the full moon party and were absolutely floored by their service and facilities. Gorgeous suite, fantastic restaurant, right on the main beach! It made our full moon party experience absolutely phenomenal, not to mention included a top notch buffet with free drinks the night of the event! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. BRAVO & THANK YOU!

If you are in Phangan to party this is the right place for you! The hotel is located on the Fullmoon beach so you will hear the music playing on the bars on the beach in the evenings. non-stop power outages and bad food

Stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived the lady that runs the place gave us a bad feeling with her condescending attitude and enormous list of rules - like we were some crazy kids, which I guess in her defense she deals with a lot, the location of the hotel being right on the full moon party beach. There's a huge list of rules for everything (only 1 pool towel allowed per person per day, only 1 cup of coffee allowed with breakfast, etc.) They also require cash for everything including the deposit when you arrive. The most annoying thing was the constant power outages which turn off the AC and reset the Wifi so it disconnects 10-20 times a day and you have to re-login each time you go on your device which was really difficult as we were trying to plan the next days of our trip. There's also nothing on the tv - mostly static. Breakfast was free, but some of the worst we had on the trip (overcooked eggs with hotdog and watered down over sweetened juice for example was one option.) The room is cute, and the overall look of the place is charming, but I would recommend only for people here to party, not for a relaxing romantic stay.

Overall, a great stay on a wonderful beach, that is cleaned daily and if, like us, you're not there for the full-moon party, is one of the nicest beach just to chill on in Ko Phangan. Almost always got great service with a smile, and the owner was very nice. Our one difficulty was the uncomfortable, single beds that were pushed together to make our \"king\" - we didn't sleep all that well.

AMAZING!

Loved this place 9 years ago, and I love it even more now! They have updated their rooms to keep up with the Jones while maintaining all the love that makes them so special. I was here over my birthday, and I couldn't have asked to be anywhere better. Everyone on the staff was so nice and wished me happy birthday and gave me pancakes with candles! The location is ideal to be on the beach for swimming and relaxing, go out for a drink, do anything you would need to do in town (bank, massage, scooter rental), and of course see the sunrise. The pool area is great. The rooms are simple yet elegant. Just fabulous overall!

Really nice stay!

Simple but really nice hotel with really lovely accommodating staff.
The resort is located on the party beach of the island, which made it very convenient to just step outside to one of the bars on the beach for a drink. We asked for a quiet room at the back and got one with no problems. The room was very clean, but the bathroom in need of some renovation. The TV didn't have many channels but that got fixed when we enquired about it. The front door didn't close very well and we had loads of mosquitos and a small lizard in the room. Breakfast was yum, pool was nice and beach was probably one of the best to swim at. Great value for money, would go back in a heartbeat :)

Booked on a whim, we had fairly bland expectations for this place, however we were pleasantly surprised.

The staff are all so friendly and accommodating, they made you feel extremely welcome as soon as you arrived.

The bungalows are so so so well kept, clean, nice bathrooms (wet room but the toilet it in partitioned off- unlike most hotels in Thailand where toilets are in the same area). The bungalows all had a nice little outside area where you could relax in the day. They had an affordable minibar and an amazing selection of shower gels (I don't usually use the ones at hotels, but these smelt beautiful).

The location was amazing. We aren't full moon ravers, so we decided to leave here on the night of the full moon , but if you are full moon-er, this will be great for you. It's right on the beach (literally on your doorstep).
However I would also suggest this to someone who isn't visiting over the full moon period but wants a lovely place to stay. Breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the beach is the BEST thing first thing in the morning.
I must add that breakfast is extremely yummy!!

One suggestion to the hotel. They currently do not have security deposit safes in the room. Instead, you have to give valuables to the hotel to keep them safe for you. I did not like this and would have much preferred a safe in the room.

Nevertheless, this place is a must and we will definitely be returning.

Overall my stay at palita lodge was pleasant. The staff is very helpful, pool and beach are lovely, and the food is delicious. The only thing is the rooms are a little old school. The rooms could use updating to make them more comfortable and modern. However, they are clean you just have to manage your expectations with this hotel.

Got almost everything right. Went above and beyond

The best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Thailand. Hotel facilities were decent but the shower was a little run down by Western standards but good by Thai standards. The hot and cold was in and out and the handles were the opposite way around so took a bit of getting used too. The restaurant was very good, better than many of the other places we had tried. I did a little damage to one of the towels with some of the infamous full moon party paint and they were very reasonable about it.

The absolute highlight was after we had checked out we were lining up at the pier to take the boat to Koh Samui. A few minutes from boarding one of the hotel staff came running down the roadway WITH MY CAMERA that I had left in the room. It's a 10 minute walk from the pier. They had no need to do that but they went above and beyond to get me my camera back and I can't thank them enough.

Great for 'Full Moon'; otherwise just ok

We arrived to Palita two days after the (in)famous full moon party. The place was packed with party goers, and thus was not very pleasant. On the 3rd days they started leaving, and by the 4th they were mostly gone. After that all was great. The place is right on the beach, food is OK (but not a lot more than that), staff is SUPER NICE AND FRIENDLY (just be there when the full mooners are gone!). Examples - you don't have time for breakfast? They will cut you fruits for the way; you need to leave early - they'll make you sandwiches the night before! As for the rooms - the garden bungalos (small ones) are not fun to be in. Very small and the bathrooms could use a renovation. After a night in one of those, we upgraded to a 2nd floor room in a poolside villa. These rooms are very nice and welcoming. One more thing - Haad Rin is not a quiet and peaceful place. It's a mostly dirty, overpriced, party people oriented town during full moon season, and just noisy otherwise. If you want peace and quiet (days or nights) search elswhere

we were dropped off at the gates and were a bit unsure, but the location on the beach is lovely and the pool is pretty awesome. The rooms are simple but nice, I think that it wasn't quite worth the money in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in Thailand. The food is good and the breakfast options are good also.

Meine Gesamtbwertung mit 2 Sternen kann ich dem Personal sowie das Meer ( wenn keine Fullmoon Party ist ).
Ich verstehe die vielen tollen Bewertungen nicht; so reise ich seit 15 Jahren in Asien und übernachte immer in 3 Sterne. 3 Sterne Hotels bieten schon recht viel.
Was ich aber noch nie hatte war Hunger nach dem Frühstück- das schlimmste und deprimierenste was ich so noch erlebt habe. Nicht nur, dass der Kaffee absolut ungeniessbar war und nur Sodbrennen verursacht hat. Es gab eine Karte mit Eierspeisen / verschieden zubereitet, da durfte man 1x wählen und dazu noch ein kleiner Zusatz.
Das sogenannte Buffet bestand aus den immer gleichen Zutaten: 3 Früchte geschnitten sowie Bananen halbiert ( das man ja keine mitnehmen konnte ), 1x Toast, 1x Butter, 1x Marmelade und Gurken, Tomaten, grüner Salat und Zwiebeln. Keine Süssspeisen, kein Thai Food warm, nichts das war es! Ach ja, Schwarztee und Wasser mit Früchten drin- das ist unverschämt, beschämend und einfach nur traurig, alles Sachen wo man natürlich nicht mitnehmen durfte oder konnte. Für 1,2 Nächte ok aber mehr ist einfach ein No go. Hier wird definitv am falschen Ende gesparrt und nicht mal in Strandliegen oder Sonnenschirme investiert.

Complessivamente, un soggiorno bellissimo in una struttura carina, con camere spaziose e pulite. La piscina è bella, ma all’ombra degli alberi e quindi risulta sempre più fredda dell’oceano. La colazione, però, va completamente rivista: solo un piatto a scelta, senza possibilità di aggiungere altro. Il contrasto è assurdo – i titolari gustano a un tavolo accanto una varietà di prelibatezze come carne, pesce, zuppe e riso…, mentre gli ospiti sono limitati a un opzione.
Per chi ha intolleranze o non ama certe opzioni, la scelta si riduce drasticamente, con un menu identico ogni giorno. In quasi due settimane, mi sono ritrovato a mangiare più o meno le stesse cose. Al buffet: solo frutta, insalata, toast, succhi, e bevande alla macchinetta del caffè.

Everything was perfect at Palita Lodge.
We had two rooms one with an extra bed.
We loved the beach at Haad Rin, which was very beautiful. The sand was all white and it was very kids friendly with low water.
The restaurant is good and you sit almost by the sea.
Our kids loved the pool.
The staff was so kind.
The hotel is also very close to the streets with massage, and lots of places to eat.

Wir (zwei Erwachsene mit Baby) hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Palita Lodge am Strand von Haad Rin auf Koh Phangan. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, grün und ruhig, und wir hatten einen Strandbungalow gebucht – mit einem traumhaften Blick und nur wenige Schritte bis zum Meer. Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, besonders im Umgang mit unserem Baby. Wir haben uns jederzeit willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt.
Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel, wenn auch etwas älter, und das Babybett war schon vorbereitet und in einwandfreiem Zustand. Der Poolbereich ist schön angelegt und ideal zum Entspannen, und der Strand direkt vor der Tür ist ein echtes Highlight. Das Restaurant bietet leckeres Essen mit Blick aufs Meer – besonders das Frühstück am Strand war unvergesslich.
Die Lage ist perfekt: ruhig genug zum Erholen, aber dennoch nur wenige Gehminuten vom Zentrum von Haad Rin entfernt.
Wir können die Palita Lodge besonders Familien mit kleinen Kindern, aber auch Paaren wärmstens empfehlen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit!

De kamers waren super en werden elke dag schoongemaakt. Het eten was heetlijk en het personeel heel service geticht en super lief!
Het plaatsje is echt vergane glorie en echt gericht op de hippies en full moon party animals
