I think the hotel was as advertised as far as what we expected. However, on certain Saturdays there is much difficulty getting to the parking garage as the street closes down for a festival. This was not told to us during or after booking which was not pleasant.

The hotel staff were really friendly, and the location was perfect—lots to see nearby, and the subway station is just a short walk away, which makes getting around super easy.

That said, the hotel had a strong, unpleasant smell. When I walked into the room, there was a mix of a sewage-like odor from the bathroom and an artificial air freshener scent—it was pretty overwhelming. There were also a few small but annoying issues: the conditioner barely came out, the hairdryer cover was broken, the shower mat kept getting caught because the shower door opens outward, and the TV remote had weak batteries, so the TV responded very slowly.

All in all, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but with the smell and all these little problems, I probably wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Great city center hotel

The location I excellent. In the middle of the city and still quiet. The room is well equipped. I enjoyed it, but it was very warm in the room. I turned the fan off but for some reason it stayed very hot in the room.
I love the coffee place downstairs.

Not willing to help

Front desk is not willing to help. I had tow separate but continuous reservations and asked the front desk to let me stay continuously but the front desk insisted that I bring luggage’s out by checkout time (11am) then came back after check in start time (3pm)

I loved my stay at ACC Design Hotel. I came to perform at the Buskers World Games as part of the Chungjang Festival of Recollection, and the location couldn't have been better, it's right in the middle of a vibrant and artistic part of town very close to the Asian Cultural Centre, Art Street, Downtown and many other great places. The best part of my stay was getting to know the staff at bar One Eleven whose hospitality was impeccably fantastic. All the hotel staff were wonderful and friendly, the hotel itself is arty and stylish with beautiful piano music in the lobby gallery and also in the upstairs bar for breakfast and after hours, which creates an intimate jazzy ambience. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, especially for a vegan like myself, with fresh fruit and veggie dishes and rice every morning. I would definitely stay here again when I next come to Gwangju.

The room amenities were not as impressive as other hotels that are half the price. The internet was off the entire time and the air conditioner didn't get cold until late at night. The only thing that was great was the large bathtub.

This is my favorite hotel I have visited. I will certainly go back. It's in a great location with amazing views (suite). The room was incredible, free breakfast was nice and plenty of variety. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Very clean and looks exactly like the pictures online. I stayed in the creation twin suite.

Only issue I had was the terrance tub could have been a little cleaner. But everything else was great.

I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Great location in a large pedestrian area with lots of shops and restaurants. Some of the staff spoke good English and all were very helpful. Also convenient for accessing public transport and walking distance to the Asian Culture Centre.

Nice hotel, but checkout and breakfast earlier than anywhere else I've stayed lately. Also, be aware that if you are booking for amenities, things are limited. I was super excited about that big hot tub sized bath, but the ware got about a foot deep and then switched off and would not turn on again for the remainder of my stay. It seems there's a limiter. Hugely disappointing.

ACC Design Hotel was perfect for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids in Gwangju. For a smaller city hotel in South Korea, it was a pleasant surprise. The location is fantastic ~ it's right in a central shopping district that had a huge range of shopping and eating and even domestic and international brands such as Uniqlo, H&M, Starbucks, Sulbing, etc. It's near by the Asia Cultural Center (thus the name, which we didn't get to visit, but seems to have a lot to offer), and about 10-15 minutes from the bus terminal. The room we had was larger than your average room, it had 2 large beds, a nice sofa, desk, fridge and storage. Our room had a terrace with a rather large in-ground bathtub/spa that the kids treated as our own private swimming pool. The bathroom was a little small, but serviceable and somewhat nice look and feel. The included breakfast was good, it wasn't spectacular, but had enough to fill us up for each day. The breakfast room was on the 11th floor in a nice 2 story room that spanned the entire floor with views of the city. The lobby team was very helpful, even with a staff member that lived in the US only up until a few years ago, so English was not a problem and he even went above and beyond to help us buy bus tickets and print them at the front desk. The lobby also had pretty nice bathrooms, a small business center and a rather large lobby lounge, but the lounge was always empty. Overall, a great place to stay in Gwangju if you find yourself there.

Great hotel but service should improve

The rooms were great, hotel and design was good. Comfort also very good.
BUT however, a few things went wrong.
1. We got announced at arrival that the breakfast was until 10am. We arrived at breakfast at 9:35 and it was closed!!!
2. Next day, we got a plate with fruit, bread etc and as choice of beverage ONLY coffee. My brother doesn't drink that. There should be more offerings (although, after insisting, he got apple juice).
3. Next day, the breakfast was on 11th floor. We thought it would just be a small plate served like the other morning in the lobby. Wrong! It was a buffet! So we arrived as the buffet was closing... a shame. The receptionists should have warned us about the differences between the days.
4. In order to preserve the envoronment, we placed the \"do not change the bed sheets\" card on the bed. Normally, in hotels, the bed is made and the sheets stay the same. The cleaner did not even make the bed! So it stayed in the same mess. Strange!

Conclusion... i liked the hotel and would stay there again. But some points about the service should be improved.

Nice NEW Hotel in Gwangju

Very new, up to date hotel. Rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable beds, with a good breakfast included. The only complaints are that the hallways are very dark - hard to even see your room # and the rooms were very warm and did not see where you could control the temperature. David that was at the front desk. was terrific and got us a large cab to go to the airport and gave the 5 of us an umbrella to take with us as it was pouring rain. He made arrangements for us to store our luggage after check out since we did not leave for a few hours after check out. David was such a big contrast to the other man at the desk that was unfriendly and seemed to be bothered by our questions and requests. The kids nicknamed them, Happy and Grumpy!

절대 조식은 드시지 마세요.
조식비 22,000원인데 음식 종류도 별로 없었지만, 그 와중에 음식이 다 소진되어 없었는데, 직원이 더 이상 음식을 만들지 않으니 먹을수 없다고 해. 너무 당황했습니다.
또 물어보니 음식은 추가로 만들지 않는다고 했습니다.
먹을 음식이 없었습니다.

スタッフは親切で、光州料理（ユクジョン）の美味しい手ごろな値段の店を地図を作って紹介してくれた。5.18民主化運動記念館や大仁市場にも近い。コンビニも近くにあると教えてもらった。光州空港からタクシーで15分、チェックインの午後3時より早く着いたので、荷物を預けて見学した。光州総合バスターミナルへもタクシーで15分くらい、釜山の総合バスターミナル（3時間半）へ向かった。トイレはウオシュレットで、部屋は広い。

몇몇 불편한 점은 있지만 대체적으로 만족.

방이 좁은 편이고 테이블이 너무 작고 부실했습니다. 무엇보다도 그 날 컨퍼런스가 있어서 그런지는 모르겠지만 지하 주차장에서 로비로 가는데만 5분 정도 걸리고 로비에서 7층 객실로 가는데 5분이 넘게 엘레베이터를 기다려야 했습니다.
그 외엔 대체적으로 만족스러웠습니다.

デザインホテルという名前のとおり、デザイン性を重視して、見た目はとても素敵です。
ですが、機能的ではないので、ちょっと使い勝手が悪かったです。まず、デスク回りにコンセントがないので、デスクでパソコンを使って作業をするなどができません。
また、廊下が間接照明を使っているので暗いのですが、3段ほどの階段があり、足元が見づらくて夜間は特に怖いです。加えて、その階段は1段1段が高く、他に利用していた高齢のお客様が歩きづらそうにしていました。荷物を持っての移動も大変でした。
さらに、ドアが重く、勢いよくしまってしまうので、毎回、注意しながら開け閉めするのですが、困りました。

일단 위치가 좋습니다. 여기저기 돌아다니기 편한 위치에요. 조식도 나름 괜찮았습니다. 직원분들도 친절하세요. 그런데 방의 청소 상태가 별로입니다. 물론 화장실, 샤워실 벽이 깨끗하지 못했고 천장에선 물이 샜는지 큰 테이프로 붙여 놓으셨더라고요. 사진과 상태가 많이 달라서 좀 실망했습니다.

일단 출장지가 금남로라 가까운 호텔을 찾아서 예약을 했습니다. 금남로 번화가에 있더군요. 찾기는 쉬웠습니다. 로비도 생각보다 널직하고 괜찮았습니다. 디자인 호텔이라 디자인에 신경쓴 흔적이 많더군요. 카드키로 열고 객실에 들어가보니 침구는 깨끗한 편입니다. 근데 청소를 제대로 안한 객실 상태였습니다. 전에 사용했던 손님것 같은데...검은색 마스크가 그대로 있었고, 냉장고에는 구구크러스터 콘이 안에서 녹아서 밑으로 흘러내려 떡져 있어서 버렸습니다. 옷장 안에는 생수통 빈통이 널부러져있었구요. 청소 확인이 엉망임을 느꼈습니다. 10만원짜리 방인데...일반 5~6만원 모텔과 별 차이가 없더군요. 신경을 좀 쓰셔야 하겠습니다. 재방문 의지는 없습니다. 그냥 5~6km 떨어져 있는 상무지구쪽이나 2~3만원 더 주고 라마다 호텔에서 주무시는 것을 권장합니다.
