Overall, I had a great stay here!
I stayed here solo for 3 nights and overall had a decent experience for the price.

Pros:
• Ideally located — walking distance to the Leaning Tower and a short walk to the train station (Florence is only 1hr away!)
• Very tourist-friendly area with lots of English spoken
• The smaller room was the perfect size for a solo traveller on a short trip

Cons:
• The entrance is accessed via a semi-isolated alleyway — as a solo female traveller it felt a bit uncomfortable at first, though I felt fine once inside
• Old building with a noticeable musty smell
• AC was quite weak — even as someone who runs cold I found the room warmer than ideal
• Minor but no shower cap or slippers provided

For a quick 3-night stay focused on exploring Pisa and day tripping, this hotel does the job well. Great location at a fair price.

This is an inexpensive guest house. The nuns were very nice and welcoming and we were able to check-in early. The location is good. It’s close to the city center and train station. If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel I would highly recommend this.

The hotel was fine, but I could hear the couple above me - they got up at 6.30am, I could hear singing, shower running, sounded like they kept dropping their suitcase. I ended up getting up early, too, as I knew I wouldn’t get back to sleep.

I have stayed in this hotel for close to 20 years. It has recently changed owners, but has maintained its charm and friendly staff. It's old, but very well maintained. The location is good. Half a short block to train station, and within walking distance to a charming square and other attractions beyond. Fifteen minute walk to the river Arno and Field of Miracles beyond. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Once inside you are welcomed into a charming lobby and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Will continue staying here when in Pisa.

Quite an old fashioned hotel, but that was part of the charm. Lovely, helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Comfortable. Fine for a night near the train station which was perfect for our ongoing travel. About 1 mile to the leaning tower but nice walk. Down a bit of a side alley to access and building work going on, but not their fault and felt safe area.

The property is very dated and a little shabby. The locks didn’t feel terribly secure and there is no safe in the room. But the staff was lovely, the bed very comfortable, the room clean, and the price and location just what I was looking for. So a good traveler hotel but nothing fancy.

Only stayed one night, but this is an easy 15 minutes or so (depending on your pace) from the airport, and just a couple blocks to the train station. Staff was very helpful and made me feel welcome. Room was small and cozy, was perfect for me for a short stay.

We got a decent room and it was very spacious however overall the room had a really weird layout and it seemed like they had converted a form of balcony for the bathroom and the shower was extremely tiny. The bathroom was like 1st to sink in a shower room and then a toilet but then in order to get to the toilet you’d have to get your feet wet because the shower was just so tiny that there was water all over the floor, but other than that, the staff were friendly. It looks a bit dodgy from the outside but overall decent stay for a short break. I only stayed for one night.

I don’t know why the reviews for this hotel were as bad as some had been. I found the room in good condition, the air con wasn’t overly noisy, and the bathroom was of good size and had all the amenities in good condition. There were many towels and toiletries left for guests, which was appreciated, and mosquito plugs, though sadly not the inserts for them, which we had to buy as there was at least 1 mosquito in the room which we’d noticed. My only complaint was that the floor didn’t seem to have been cleaned as it felt gritty underfoot, and left the feet dirty looking only from walking in the room. Also I wish I’d been informed upon booking about the additional tourist fee not being included in the taxes upon booking, as we were unaware and hadn’t factored this in to our budget

Check-in was conducted with a man that did not seem to know much about the hotel he worked in and had little interest. Check-in was swift because he didn’t offer any useful information.Once we got to our two rooms it was obvious he sent us to the wrong set of lifts sending us the long way round.Neither room had a safe and only one had a wardrobe,2 people for 6 nights with just a set of open shelves for storage! We were given the option of another room which annoyingly also had no safe or wardrobe so we stayed put.The bed in this room was like a rock but the air con was new and quiet.After complaining we were offered a second alternative room the next day but had to store all of our stuff in our son’s room or spend the day waiting for the room to become free.This room finally had a safe and wardrobe.However the bed was like a flag stone floor that has been worn in places by 1000 years of footsteps,the air con was useless,the room had two fittings that flashed bright lights constantly, the t.v. was tiny,the bathroom was quite comical at how badly set up it was,from a ridiculous bath plug,a movable shower screen that cannot open,nonsensical positioning of dispensers and general poor state. sound proofing in hotels is never perfect but this one is not good at all.Breakfast was hit n miss but ok. Except for the gentleman that checked us in, all other staff were very good, especially the lady that checked us out who had been exceptional throughout the week. The hotel is kept clean.

The only good thing about the hotel is the location, being so close to the central train station. The entrance to the hotel was like a worksite with an area of rubble fenced off - very offputting as a first impression!
There was supposed to be a bar (advertised on the hotel website and also throughout the hotel) but this no longer existed. They also advertised an airport shuttle service which was no longer in operation. The air-conditioning units were not working in many of the rooms (I heard three separate lots of people complaining at reception about this. The air-conditioner in my friend's room leaked water. The wall in my room below the air-conditioning unit was stained (and possibly mouldy?) from where the unit had obviously been leaking in the past. I didn't attempt to switch it on. The curtains in my room were simply filthy - grey with multiple stains on them. I advised at reception that the room should not be used for another guest until the curtains had been cleaned or replaced.

Nice quiet hotel by train station

To start... this hotel is less than 100 yards from the train station exit. Which after Rome and walking with heavy suitcases, was really nice. It was a little worrisome coming from the back side of it, it felt a little grungy, then when we entered it was very clean and comfortable. When you walk out the front side into a nice little shopping plaza, you have a multitude of restaraunt choices. The Leaning Tower is about a 20 min walk through beautiful little streets. The Breakfast was excellent. The staff could not have been more friendly. Very happy with our stay!

Our room was basic but very clean.
The beds were comfortable.
There was a fridge which was good.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not work, therefore the room was hot day and night (around 27 Celsius). One of the reception staff tried to mend it and thought she had but this did not turn out to be the case.
The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help.
My friend felt unsafe in the immediate area of the hotel (the entrance was halfway down a passageway with shuttered unoccupied shops) but it was only a few minutes walk to a better area and easy access to the main attractions.

It looked sketchy arriving in the middle of the night, but the area was actually good.
Fantastic private roof terrace from bed room. Typical decent standard building for Italy but will be seen as old and tired if from Scandinavia. Service was excellent; friendly, quick response and very helpful with checkin, luggage storage, directions as well as questions via email. Good breakfast buffet with many sweet and savory options. Location was great. 10-12eur taxi to airport and the 20 min walk to the leaning tower was lined with cuteness, culture, shops and restaurants.

The only downside about the hotel was that is was a bit dated, but that was all. Otherwise a lovely stay and great place to start our holiday.

Stayed one night en route to Ligurian coast. Just 2 minutes' walk from central station and convenient for sightseeing. Property was clean and well maintained. Single rooms had small double beds and the usual facilities. Excellent breakfast. Would certainly recommend for stopovers.

The hotel is only 100 metres from the train station but is in a quiet location, our room had no ootside noise. A 25/30 minute meander to the Tower and cathedral.
We didn't take breakfast but spoke to a couple that did and they were compplimentary.

The staff was really great. All very nice, they know how to treat customers.
Overall the hotel is good value for the money you pay. It's an old hotel but to be fair everything is working as expected and there's everything you need. The location is quite convenient for both train station and airport.
From there you can walk to the centre of Pisa and the walk is very pleasant.
