The room was a little tired. The room was generally clean although there was dust on high areas such as TV, mirrors, etc., and though the bed linen was clean there were a few dark stray hairs which makes me think that hair is not always tied back before carrying out housekeeping tasks.

Car parking is free (which is a bonus) and they offer residents 20% off evening meals though not breakfast. The hotel is about a half-hour walk into town and there do not seem to be any places within closer walking distance except for the pub itself, which is a downside.

The check-in was smooth and the reception staff polite, though dour - it costs nothing to smile or be a little friendlier.

This is one of the best places we've stayed in for a long time. It was convenient to where we wanted to be, the room was clean and a good size but the thing that gets a 5 star review from us is the lovely staff. Katy and Chloe were exceptionally lovely, very helpful, friendly and welcoming to everyone. Katy was great with checking in and was our waitress in the evening, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Chloe was around in the mornings for breakfast shift. I saw her dealing with a family with extra needs and she was superb in her handling of those needs. I came away feeling that I would definitely like to stay there again, unlike a few other places we've stayed at. I hope that Marstons give Chloe and Katy a bonus for a 5 star review, and to be honest the rest of the team deserve a little something too as they were all friendly, but these two deserve an extra pat on the back :)

Excellent place to stay for a couple of nights. Just out of the centre of Bridlington, but easily walkable. Large well lit car park, rooms were away from the pub, so very quiet. Breakfast was reasonable, and we enjoyed an evening meal in the pub as well, which was good, with plenty of choice.

Easy location to find and convenient. The room was okay but a few black marks on the walls and some small areas of paint/plaster on the walls were missing, although the room was generally clean. Beds were comfortable too.
Food there was good, tasty and well priced and they were very conscious and wary of allergens, which was very reassuring. I would stay here again as the location is very convenient for visiting nearby Bempton Cliffs

Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom needs updating- no toilet roll holder. Plenty of sockets as well as USB ports. The building is 2 floors with no lift. Plenty of parking. Great location to get to Bridlington. We ate at the pub 4 times. 2 breakfasts which you had a decent choice although the orange juice was was quite watery. 2 evening meals which were nice but they were running out of items quite early and for a bank holiday it seemed that they hadn’t prepared for the amount of people. Staff were friendly.

Unfortunately the stay was not a pleasant one! We stayed for two nights and on arrival the room was set up as a twin, this was quickly resolved by staff though. We reported that the pillows were insufficient and need more , we were told they were full and had no spares. The worst thing was the bed which was very uncomfortable and due to the very thin worn mattress’s, they were very thin and it felt that the springs were digging in to you. On the plus side the pub was nice with decent food but the whole experience was let down by the total disregard for customer comfort.

Granted, we arrived a half hour before check in time. However rather than a \"good day and welcome\" the first words we got were \"you can't check in yet\". It was obvious that the hotel wasn't full. We asked if any rooms might be ready, we just got a shake of the head. Even if we were told that company policy was to stick to the check in time we would have understood. The young lady made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. She had no idea how long we had travelled or if we were in a car or public transport. She made no offer to take our bag or have a drink whilst we waited for 30 minutes. Add to this poor quality food, for breakfast we got over cooked poached eggs served on burnt toast, in the evening the very tasty sounding mushrooms in garlic and covered in cheese turned out to be small tinned mushrooms in a thin liquid. Additionally we waited several minutes in the morning before anyone arrived to take details and show us to the breakfast table. In the evening the bar was unattended and we gave up waiting to get a drink. The bedroom was basic but appropriate for the cost, walls though has several large dirty masks and the carpet was stained.

Not a great stay, on arrival the room hadn't been cleaned properly, poo in the loo, I found a stick-on (used) eye lash in the bed and crumbs of some description across the carpet in various patches, in addition there was only 2 teabags available in the room meaninv only 1 drink for each of us!. We requested a double bed, but arrived to twin beds, the reception staff simply shrugged her shoulders and said, \"oh, the request obviously hasn't been read, it only needed zipping together, oh well\", which wasn't really the response i was expecting. Food was limited in the restaurant on the first evening, many items not available due to a busy service allegedly, though there was only 1 other couple in the pub at approximately 7.20pm. Staff did not appear friendly or welcoming, in fact we were left alone in the bar area whilst a subordinate went to find the relevant staff nember to compleye the check in process, though it's prudent to add, they were not rude either.

All the staff were very friendly. Bed & shower in the room were good and so positive feedback on both these very important needs. Room was dark because 2 of the 3 main ceiling lights had not had the lightbulbs replaced.
We ate Sunday lunch in the restaurant which was very dissapointing because it was clearly a microwave heated meal and the quality was not worth the money paid. Having said all this, I would stay in the hotel again.

I booked a twin room and on arrival the room was a double. I asked to be moved to another room but none was available so they put a small put up bed in the room.This was very uncomfortable plus there was no headboard. Also there were no drawers in the room and the heating was totally inadequate.The first breakfast we had was barely warm and full of grease and the second breakfast wasn't much better.Overall the standard of the accommodation was very poor.I would not recommend staying here to friends or family.

I should have guessed when entering the the cold and empty bar area that things were not going to be the best. We had booked a couple of rooms and a table in the restaurant for a Christmas celebration, but the atmosphere was nothing like that - there was nobody behind the bar on x2 occasions we wanted to get a drink and we had to find a member of staff to serve us - Dinner was a complete fiasco! First I tried to order the set Christmas dinner - was told they did not have that, despite all the Christmas Menus, Posters and Website advertising for it! Next I tried ordering the Steak Pie - same answer, I then asked for the Sea Bass and was yet again informed it was off the menu - there then followed a bizzar debate on what exactly was on the menu (I was later informed by the Duty Manager that I had booked table in the Dog Friendly area and not the Festive Menu??? - How I made that 'mistake' I don't have a clue???) - finally ended up with a very un-festive and mediocre fish and chips and watching the occasional 'tumble weed' for entertainment

Please offer an option of 2 keys ar check-in. The room was fit for purposes, but our 18 month twins found dirt (shoelace hoop) on the floor and put it in their mouth. Just need a little tlc as its looking abit worn (paint).
But overall it servied it purpose for an overnight stay..

I am eighty next year my wife is seventy six and having to carry luggage up a flight of stairs with the light going out before reaching the first landing made the trip hazardous. Having said that the staff at evening meal were exemplary

All in all was a nice clean hotel. The guy that checked us in then gave a lady a key to our room as just assumed she was with me so she entered our room with is all sat there. When we returned from dinner we couldn’t enter our room as the card didn’t work when they changed the ladies card they wiped mine. Pull out bed was very uncomfortable felt like I’d slept on the pavement. Staff were very friendly and helpful

This was the first time staying in the accommodation at The Lobster Pot although I used to be a regular visitor to the restaurant with my mother a few years ago. The accommodation was very good value for money. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, equipped with TV, internet and kettle. Easy to find with free parking just outside. Thank you!

We were greeted on arrival by a polite and professional member of staff. We paid for early check in to have more time exploring the area.
Our room was ready for us. Very clean, lovely white towels and bedding. Great to have a choice of bath and shower. The parking area was clean and litter free with plenty of spaces.
The room was very quiet in the evening so we slept well. We would have liked an extra chair so we could both sit on one. Was abit concerned about spilling anything in the lovely white bedding.
All the staff were very polite and friendly. Food service was excellent. Food choices were very good at reasonable prices. We had the Set Evening Menu every night. Breakfast was exceptional. Huge choice of items. Very well cooked.
The Inn is within east walking distance to the beach or town. Or plenty of parking if you drive there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay in a Marston Inn and hope it’s the beginning of many more.
