Extremely helpful staff. They proactively contacted me ahead of time in case I got there late (which I did) and they already had a plan to get me into my room after the service desk was closed. The rooms were more comfortable and had more character than most places I've stayed. The attached restaurant was really convenient and delicious. I didn't use the pool this time but it's a really nice option considering the price point and location. I'm going to go out of my way to stay here whenever I'm passing through Utah.

The tub was disgusting and permanently stained the gentleman that checked us in was amazing and tried to clean the tub, but it was irreparable, the bed was clean, but there were clutter and furnishings. All in the hallways, the walkways were dirty. There was a bird's nest falling out on the stairs and an old shelf that fell down And hot water bursts that burned you during the shower intermittently. The price was low. But should still have a clean shower.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer. I was sadly disappointed in the room. There was a huge gap in the door and the window. The floorboards were so wobbly and noisy. There was a nasty smell in the room. The mirrors hadn’t been wiped down or the TV and the cabinet for the frig and microwave. There was several inches of dust on the lamps and the power surge plug. The air conditioner worked well, but was so loud it was hard to sleep.

The property was a little difficult to find. The clerk was not very patient when I called for directions. He seemed in A hurry and left immediately after giving us the keys. He didn't take time to explain where things were.
The room was clean and beds were ok.
There was a lot of noise going on in rooms around us.

We stayed 4 nights at Mountain View Lodge. The room was clean but the bed was extremely firm which made for a poor night's sleep. Also didn't love the cigarette butts all along the window sill of the room at the top of the stairs. Yuck!

We had two rooms. When we arrived, one room had no soap or body wash, and dirty towels hanging on the bathroom door. The other room had a full garbage can, absolutely no toilet paper and the toilet handle barely flushed. Leaves one to wonder what else was not taken care of.

When I went to request soap, there was none to be had. The waitress from the restaurant who also worked at the hotel, was darling and tried her best to help but mentioned because the hotel will be closing for the season soon, they don’t restock supplies. The desk clerk was rude and acted like it was a bother to help because technically he was “off the clock,” it was barely after 9:00 pm. Apparently not having body wash for dispensers has been an ongoing thing—keeping up with maintenance when you have paying guests should be a priority.

The pool was freezing and barely heated. It was impossible to swim for more than 10 minutes, if we were even in there that long. There were only a few towels that looked to have been used already.

The staff at the onsite restaurant was amazing but the hotel itself had much to be desired. The reviews prior looked good so we felt confident booking but would never recommend or stay again.

The lobby staff were friendly. But the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The bedding was clean but the floors were not. The bathroom sink did not drain well.
Our key quit working and there was no one in the lobby to help us or anyone to answer their phone. Someone who did not work there had a master key and let us into our room. It was very odd.

Short of being homeless I would consider anything but here! The place is really run down, the bed needed replaced 15 years ago and I took ice bath showers for 3 days with no response from management. Front desk is not in until 9 am so you can’t speak with anyone. The restaurant staff suggested I leave them a note. So I did, no response! I left a day early as my back couldn’t handle the bed, the ice water shower and the trolls smoking under the stair well was more than I could handle!

No hand soap or shampoo for the shower. There was no Ice container which indicated that there is likely no ice machine on the property. The room didn't smell good, kind of like it was a smoking room. I was hoping this could have been a better experience. The employee working the front desk kind of had the attitude that \"yeah, this place pretty much sucks but we can't do anything about it. We were pleasantly surprised at this property. When first driving up it looks a little run down but we booked it because of the great price. Inside was very clean, beds comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. Also, the young man working the counter was very nice, we chatted with him for a bit. They have a little cafe attached to the office. We didn't have time to sit and eat but got a breakfast burrito to go. The ladies working it were very nice, the price was good and the food was very good.

The room was marginally clean. We had no great expectations. I have been in hospitality industry 50+ years.

Outside appeared to not have been swept in weeks.

Gentleman at desk on check in was going through motions and didn't want to be there. No suggestion to try the restaurant and didn't offer any information about what was close by. I understand in small locale it can be difficult getting help, but then ownership needs to provide the training and motivation. Check out no one at desk and no-one showed up. We just left.

Disappointed. We like to try independent hotels and give them our business. We won't be back here.

Hope you can use this to improve cleanliness and service.

It was an ok place except cleanliness. Dirty sheets, bedspread, towels left on back of door. They need deep cleaning regularly, dusting, wash down surfaces. Carpets need to be cleaned. The outside has dirt and cigarette buds everywhere. I found a broom and swept. All they need to do is use a blower every day to remove debri from property.
The actual rooms are good. They moved us to a different room and then changed sheets, etc. in that room. Honestly they need to clean more thoroughly.

I stayed here in 2017. I was back in the area so I stayed here again. From 2017 until now, I can say that this property has gone downhill.

In 2017 the rooms and property looked so much better than now. There used to be decorative pillows on the bed decorated with pictures of Bryce and Zion. The property was clean in 2017 and nicely decorated with tables and chairs. Now there is a trailer in the parking lot. Tables and chairs are just wherever. Cigarette butts all over the ground. There is a container of lighter fluid at the end of the hallway. It was there my whole stay. It just looks like they don't care anymore how the rooms and parking lot looks.

In my room, the safety latch on my door was missing. It broke or whatever and it looks like it's not a priority to fix it.

The floor squeaks when walking across the room. It looks like thin carpet on top of a wood floor. It squeaks just like walking on a floor in a 100 year old house.

When taking a shower, the temperature of the water will go from warm to scalding hot for about 1 second and then go back to warm. It kept doing this over and over. Not sure if this is happening because another room flushed the toilet. So take note of this if you have small children. This is a serious safety issue.

I arrived in the late afternoon to check in. It took forever because the front desk wasn't staffed. No one was there. Also there is no one at the front desk in the morning until 9am.

When I travel with my dogs I love a motel with the room door leading outside, instead of a long hallway. The decor is pretty and sort of odd, classic. I liked it. I rated less than perfect because of a minor cleanliness issue in the room and because the area outside is poorly maintained, no real place to take the dogs to go - just a bricked patio overgrown with weeds. Not a show-stopper at all, just could be improved. I would definitely stay here again.

I have 2 complaints…we stayed 4 nights, but my room was never cleaned. The garbage cans were overflowing and I had to ask for extra toilet paper and fresh towels. And the second issue was when my grandson wanted to go swimming there was a dead bat in the Jacuzzi, which looked like it had been there several days…it was discussing!

This is my first time staying here, with my 3 young adult kids. It was a great 1 night stay, and we had breakfast at the restaurant which was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
My only complaints would be there was zero data service in our room, the bathroom fan didn't work at all, and the beds were a bit too firm for my liking.

The property itself if fine. It is remote, but I knew that. When I arrived to check in, there was no one at the check in desk, but there was a number to call which I did. When he arrived he was very kind and apologetic, and got me my key to my room. Upon arriving at my room, I opened the door to find that it hadn’t been cleaned yet. Not even touched. So I called the number again. It took a minute, but they gave me a new room that was clean but the plumbing kept running in the bathroom. I just stayed however and was able to sleep. When I left in the morning, again, there was no one at the desk so I dropped my key and left. I don’t think I would stay there again.

Decent stay at a very affordable cost

We stayed two nights. The room we stayed in was very decent considering the inexpensive price. The beds were comfortable and the linens clean. The mini fridge and microwave worked fine. We did ask the front desk to come vacuum because the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned, but the staff responded by taking care of it while we were gone for several hours. The hand soap and body wash also needed to be refilled, but those were minor issues. We were unsure what to expect, having read a few very negative reviews among a larger group of positive reviews. I'm a no-frills 'motel-er'. I just want a clean room with good beds where the equipment works—shower, toilet, etc. I think this place met that criteria satisfactorily.

Older motel but has been redone and fixed up. Beds were good and everything is very clean. There is no free breakfast offered but the cafe at the motel is very reasonably priced and very good food. Where you have to walk your pets is covered with the sharp burrs and gets stuck in their paws and in tennis shoes, so be careful. All the staff is extremely nice and helpful. Stairs to upper level, no elevator, and rooms enter from outside. Would stay here again.

PRAISE GOD! This in now my favorite hotel of all time. For the price the rooms are amazing and the food at the cafe is so good and so inexpensive! I've stayed twice and will stay again on my way back up to MT and then back down to CA. Could not give a higher recommendation. Has a market across the street as well. Best hotel ever in this super low price range!!!!

By the 3rd night all the light bulbs above vanity were burned out but two. Outside is just plain gross. Cigarette butts (lots) and trash. Little to no cleanup. Patio area is an eye sore. Very nice small town, we’ll find somewhere else to stay next time.

The room was mostly clean, but that’s about the only positive. The TV didn’t work (thankfully I had my laptop), and the cabinets around the fridge and microwave were dirty and neglected. It honestly feels like the place hasn’t been updated in 40+ years. The worst part? The guests above me let their kids run around and play tag until 3 AM. Between the noise, outdated room, and lack of basic cleanliness, I’d say it’s just barely a step above a Motel 6 with long-term tweaker tenants. I won’t be staying here again.

Parowan is a small town and this is a small mountain lodge as the name implies. I would liken it to a ski lodge. It looked a little rough from the outside but the room was great. It is spacious with very comfy beds and nice linen. The water pressure was excellent. Lots of counter/storage space as well as a fridge and microwave.

Apparently a full-time resident living in room next door with a barking dog & big sign in window \"beware of dog\", room was very run down. Overall hotel property was tired.
