The location was by far the most unique experience we’ve ever had!! And that is what makes it so special. Truly ‘out in nowhere’ and super relaxing! This property is a gem! It’s a small country hotel with spectacular valley views! There is a beautiful outdoor soaker tub and the rooms are new and clean. It’s a bit off the ring road but well worth getting away from the city lights for a chance to see the Aurora which we did! Great value for money!

Hotel was beautiful and most of staff was very friendly. The one girl in restaurant seemed to not know her much about wines etc. Asked her what a delicious wine was and she said just some Iceland wine. Asked her in the morning about some delicious wafers and she seemed put off and she didn’t know. The place is down a pretty rough road is come from the national park. If coming from Bogarnes not bad. Highly recommend!

This is a gem of a hotel! The views were absolutely spectacular. It was so relaxing to check in, unpack and have a lovely dinner right there. The hot tub experience is unparalleled!!! You have to see it to believe it. The complementary breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly. I would definitely return here if in the area!!

One. Of. The. Best. Hotels. In. Iceland. You MUST stay here. A bit of a drive off the ring road, but it is well worth it. The staff are outstanding. The food is delicious. The rooms are spacious. This hotel was in a beautiful area! Lots of opportunities for hiking and sight seeing. The room was the biggest room we had in all of Iceland - which was a perfect recharge. They even had 1 or 2 board games in the lobby to play at the end of the day! Only complaint would be the breakfast was very minimal - it was the smallest/worst breakfast option we had on our trip. Otherwise, great hotel!

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful location. The dinner and breakfast were great, the rooms are a nice size and the property has a heated tub where you can look out at the valley. When we booked this hotel I read the reviews and noticed that several mentioned you have to take a dirt road to get here. Prior to the trip I did not think this was a big concern - note that this hotel is 30km off of the ring road coming from the counter clock wise direction. This was a one night stop for us and while the hotel was lovely it was very much out of the way. The only thing there is the hotel. If you want dinner, you will need to eat it at the hotel or bring something. (The dinner is great). I don't think this is a great overnight stop based on how out of the way it is - if you are looking to relax in nature for a few nights it is a lovely stop.

Relatively new facility, very clean and modern. However, no room safe, breakfast was a bit too continental (cereals and skýr with a tiny bit of meat and cheese), and no luggage racks. It's on a gravel road with little around it and 30 minutes from Borgarnes. If the sky is clear in aurora season, it could be great for viewing.

Is a quaint little motel way out in what seems the middle of nowhere. The roads to get there are rough gravel for much of it. But once there, was very nice. Rooms comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. Had a great hot tub out back. Only drawback is they don’t serve breakfast until 8:00 so being so far out, you get a late start to your day. But on the whole, was great!

Let me say first, when driving to this hotel, you will feel like you're lost. It's located on a remote, gravel road. However, your GPS has not steered you wrong and it will pop up right where it should.
When you get there, this hotel is amazing. The staff was friendly and the room was so comfortable. There were lovely photos on the wall and the beds and pillows were soft and fluffy. The bathroom had a great shower and heated towel rack. Our favorite feature was the natural hot spring behind the hotel. The staff gave us robes and offered crocs to wear out (we had our own water shoes). The hot springs was in a great stone pool with amazing views of the surrounding landscape.

The hotel was great. Though it was a little drive to the interior of Iceland or so it felt. Maybe 5ish miles. Farms very spaced apart. Had it not been storming we may have seen the northern lights, but weather had different ideas. Would like to see the countryside in better weather. Couldn't notice any winds blowing from inside and it was howling out.
