Location is excellent. In the middle of surfers paradise, right by the tram, beach, supermarket and main attractions. Staff was friendly and the property communicated quickly. Got an early check in and late check out so more bang for the buck. It isn't 5 star by any means but the location makes up for it. Only downside was the noise. Hard to get sleep with the loud air conn (seriously loud compressor and fans), the noise from the clubs and buskers could also be heard all the way from the 25th floor.

The room had a strong mould smell, which was quite overwhelming. The shower was unclean, with visible body residue and mould in the grout and corners, and it also appeared to be leaking through the wall into the carpet, which likely contributed to the persistent mouldy odour. There were also rust spots in the bath, about the size of a 10-cent piece, where my children were expected to bathe.

Unfortunately, the issue extended to the cupboards and kitchen utensils, which also carried a noticeable mould odour. Overall, the environment felt unhygienic and made me uncomfortable having my children in the room. Very disappointing experience.

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding our recent booking at Paradise Centre Apartments.

The booking explicitly included three double-bedroom oceanview apartments. However, upon arrival, your reception staff refused to provide the oceanview rooms as booked, stating that such listings are not offered by your property and that the advertisement on Wotif was inaccurate or potentially fraudulent.

Given the circumstances, we request a full refund of the total amount paid for this booking. We expect this matter to be treated with urgency and resolved promptly.

If a satisfactory resolution is not provided, we will have no option but to escalate this matter further through consumer protection authorities and pursue a formal dispute.

In addition, during our stay the toilet exhaust cover fell on head and in another apartment the blind fell off

We enjoyed our stay at these apartments. The staff at reception were very helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment where the bed was comfortable. Parking was included in our stay. Location was fantastic. Apartments are centrally located next to the mall and beach just a few steps away.

Great location. Only had two issues, one being there was building works going on throughout day on last few days with Jack hammering etc (appeared to be floor above us, very noisy). We were not informed about the planned works/noise prior to booking or whilst our stay. Mowing pool areas at 7am was not appreciated either i would think after 10am would be more appropriate. Other than that the apartment was amazing. A little tip would be to supply a bit more essential supplies as well. Staying for seven nights there were not enough toilet paper, garbage bags etc with us having to shop for a lot of items. We gave a 5 star review but cleaning attention is needed under the bed (needs to be moved out and floor vaccumed and wall cleaned).

Reception is conveniently opened until 10pm and the girls on the desk are lovely.
Parking is a breeze. The carpark is easy to navigate even in a large SUV.
The location is 2nd to none. It is right on top of the Paradise Centre Mall and looks straight down into Cavill Ave and Orchid Ave and over Surfers Paradise Beach, right amongst all the action.
The huge outdoor pool is properly heated and the adjacent hot tub was a real pleasure in July.
The north facing sun filled balcony was beautiful.
We stayed in the Ballah tower, apartment 18/02. Executive 2 bedroom. The building was built in an era of generous room sizes. It was very clean and modern. The kitchen was well equipped. All the appliances were like new. Even the knives were super sharp. There were clean blankets in the wardrobe. We weren’t lacking anything.
After staying here, I simply cannot stay anywhere else now on the Gold Coast.
For the planners like me, see my attached pics for floor plans from real estate sales. 4 apartments per floor. There are no bad apartments in these towers.

It has spectacular sunrises and sunsets with a view of cavil av it's right in the centre I guess that's why it's the Paradise center apartments .I was pleased with an upgrade and think it's a reasonable rate considering it's location and use of the study as a second bedroom

The photos shown were not a true indication of the apartment we were given. The kitchen cupboards were swollen, the crockery still had food on it, the stove top and fridge had marks from previous people. The floor in the kitchen and bathroom were wet all the time from the unit belows air-conditioning. Even the carpet was wet around the kitchen. Accor advise for us to have our air-conditioning set at 24 degrees and keep all the doors tightly closed. This is not a solution. We prefer no aircon and the doors open for the sea beeze and fresh air. We went to reception to get towels to cover wet floors, then we rotated the towels on the airer so we could walk in the kitchen. The apartment looks over the night clubs and restaurants, so the noise is constant all day and night and into the morning. Only a top sheet on the bed. When we asked for a throw rug, we had to go down out of our building to collect the blanket. The glass doors still had prints and smudges all over them, and food on the balcony. We will not return or recommend.

Life in paradise

For a single person or a couple, the room I stayed in was the perfect size. Lovely views of the beach, Cavill Avenue (great for watching how 'alive' the area is) and part of the hinterland. Blockout curtains allowed me the luxury of a sleep in without the early morning sun waking me up. The outdoor heated pool and spa were fantastic, even with winter fast approaching. Every second day I'd go for a dip. Such easy access to the shops and public transport as well. Price wise, it was surprisingly cheaper than a lot of other places. The only gripe I had (and it's a petty one at that) is that the tiles and grout in the wet areas need a good scrub. All other areas were carpeted, and it still had that new carpet smell, so no problems there.

Fantastic stay with great views.

Great stay. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious, although maybe a little dated, but not an issue at all. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed to cook and the bathroom clean with good pressure and hot water. The view from the apartment was also fantastic! My only issue would be minimal coffee and tea in the room as it was not replenished throughout the stay, and also the need to pay for extra pool towels. Would recommend and would stay again.

Enjoyable enough. Apartment was clean. Although, for a ten day stay we had to request more toilet paper, washing detergent, towels etc.

The portable cot was not in our room upon arrival. This was delivered after our arrival for us to set up.

Minimal condensation on the floor this time, my 2.5 yr old only slipped over once. Yes I’m being sarcastic. This problem really needs to be fixed.

I love the facility of pool is has and the location of aparments but the room facilities had not been changed in months or years , the washing powder was hard the dishwashing liquid was dried up and couldn’t be used I only received two towels not even an extra for my child , and you can not confirm an early or late check in until day before leaving you stressing as to what you will do once arriving or leaving the holidays

Stil I'm waiting for the 200Au security return in my account, First off all you have to change the timing for check out as per your rules 10 am is too early At least it should be 12 noon and refilling of Soaps and shampoos should be on customers request. Aircondition in bedroom is not working even i cmplent he same one person came to check the problem he said we will repair on next morning but nobody is bothered any way, I'm not recomend to anyone to stayin this apartment.

Mould, Moisture, Not a child friendly apartment

We recently stayed in Ballah with our 21 month old. We were on one of the upper levels in a 2 bedroom apartment. Upon arrival, my 21 month walked in and fell over. We then discovered the tiled floors were saturated with water. We assumed the floors had just been mopped. How wrong were we!

Turns out the air conditioner was producing massive amounts of moisture / ice, YES ICE on the tiled floors in the bathroom, ensuite and hallway. We tried unsuccessfully to dry the floors daily with towels, in between our toddler taking many falls. You could actually see where the water had been running down the walls and the mould on the silver picture frames was disgusting.

We approached management about this and were told that yeah some apartments have that problem and some have rubber mats on the floors to stop people slipping over. Management did not seem interested. We were utterly disgusted with managements attitude and are contemplating taking this further. Lift your game and get the owners of such apartments to fix these problems. Owners may want to clean up their drinking glasses too, breast hand painted glasses? Really???

The rooms were dirty , the blankets and bed covers smelly and dirty.
We were made to wait for check in , because the room was being cleaned. Yet there were wrapper bits around the place.
I called about a broken fitting in the main bathroom as soon as we checked in and nobody showed up for the three days we were there to repair or even have a look.
The tv area was all open hanging wires.
The sofa was filthy.
All in all, a miserable property.
Find yourself another property in the area.

We checked into our apartment and the facilities looked nice and clean. We entered our room and were pleased and then we started to look closer. There were lights that were not working (that took 2 days to fix - and we found out there was no lightbulb in), we were only given 1 key and after requesting a second key we were not given until the final day of our visit - very inconvenient. The staff were not the most helpful, and did not help in making my stay the best it could have been.

Perfect View of the Gold Coast - Great Value

Quite possibly the best value for the money I've had in a hotel/apartment setting.
PROS: Location to beach, view of ocean, cleanliness of room, spaciousness of room, free parking spot, enough utensils, pots and pans to cook for group of 8-10, two balconies, comfortable bed, proximity to all kinds of activities and shopping, all appliances worked, nice washer and dryer
CONS (minor inconveniences): Not stocked with dish (liquid or machine) detergent or paper products (paper towels, garbage bags, cleaning fluid) to clean. If they encourage me to keep the place clean when I leave, I would expect there would be more rather than me having to go buy it. Had to pay for Wi-Fi.
I stayed here for the ITU Triathlon Grand Final and found the value to be better than the team hotel.
VERDICT: I would stay here again

Great apartment for family holiday.

This was a great spacious apartment with views over downtown surfers and the beach. With 2 balconies, heated pool and nice gym too ( I didnt have time to use them). Its a bit dated but thats not a problem really, and it was much better value than a tiny Novotel room next door. The kitchen was fully functional and with a Woolworths close by it meant enjoying cheap breakfast on the balcony.

The apartments all around us were being renovated and the management then moved us to another property. This was also having renovations completed next door. Of the 5 night stay, they renovated with construction noise for 4 of them. Would not recommend this property again. The same thing also happened to us four years previously on a different stay. You think you could not be that unlucky but it happens.

Second time here, last year stayed in the Allunga tower and was great, this time Ballah 1 bed exec, horrible. Smaller apartment, mouldy smell in bathroom, sliding door in bedroom took 2 hands to pry open and deadlock on front door worked occasionally. Receptionists were condescending, I wanted to speak to a manager but apparently they don't work after 5pm or weekends, so if you want an issue fixed, bad luck. Will not be staying here again.

in overall the room was nice the view as well! but

the problem is with the the cleaning, we should clean by ourselves but in reality some other hotels they do cleaning every day!

the swimming pool and sauna were terrible, cold all the time, how come ?! we asked about it one of the staff member and he called someone from the hotel and put him on speaker, he said that the water is cold because of the rain ?!! what an excuse?!

in addition to that the room was so wet. even our clothes been very wet we wanted to go out, we were putting them on dryer before to ware it, because they also been very wet?!

Awesome location all the shops and main Surfers mall is situated under the hotel.
Walk straight out to the main beach.
Parking is great and easy. The cleaness and well maintained pool I've been in.
If you don't want to go out you can watch all of Surfers City from your balcony including the nite life. Can get noisey at nite but it's worth the entertainment.
We stayed at Alunga last 2 times. This time we were at Ballah hotel, I'd prefer Alunga.

This was the 3rd time iv stayed at these Apartments across 10 years. The staff were so helpful in allowing us to check in a little earlier as we arrived a bit earlier. The location & views are amazing, walking distance to everything from shops, restaurants, beach, activities so no complaints there! I must say im extremely disappointed in the cleanliness. The room was so dusty and the couch is probably about 10 years old. The bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. There was an old bar of soap in the soap dish which is just gross. The water took ages to run down the drain. I would recommend the apartments to friends and family purely for the convenience of location and great pool facility. But I would hope the rooms would be renovated again at some stage in the near future.

Third time here

Central above shopping centre on Cavil Avenue. Sea views & opposite the beach.This is our third holiday in these apartments. The first stay was in a tired apartment, but last 2 have been in renovated ones. Excellent location with lovely pool & BBQ area.

Great location and facilities, showing it's age.

Kids loved the pool and the proximity to restaurants, beach ect was brilliant. The apartment is showing it's age, particularly the bathrooms, but for the price we were very happy.

Dated and dirty

Sorry but the only positive here is location. Aĺl the room furniture is old and worn out. Floors were filthy. Appliances from the 70s! I expected more considering it had a 4.3 star review
