Front desk clerk very helpful and personable. Property clean, except bordering grass areas, well-used by pets. Room was bright and attractive. A few unfortunate streaks down the walls, heavy dust and candy wrapper under the bed and food and residue remaining in refrigerator seemed to indicate that the room had not been cleaned before our occupancy, other than to change the beds and replace towels. Appreciated efforts made to update bathroom sink and shower, though, amusingly, there was no cold water operating in the sink, and strong water pressure caused the flow to splash off the small basin. The beds were very firm and pillows flat and inflexible. The room-darkening curtain was a good idea, but did not successfully shut out the parking lot light. Lots of Road noise. So we appreciated an attractive, inexpensive place to stop for the low price and no pet fees, however, it was difficult to sleep in the ambient light and very hard bed.
Despite all of this, with a cleaned room and a pillow from home, I will stay here again. The evening front desk clerk would have accommodated my concerns for cleaning, I'm sure, but I did't report these items until check out.

WiFi didn’t work the whole time we were there, the vending machines are not only expensive but they ate a few dollars in quarters, the washer and dryer didn’t work for crap, the staff was really nice but the property has seen better days.

I hate leaving bad reviews but the room was so disgusting I ended up booking a different hotel for the night despite this one being non refundable. Stains on the walls, signs of insect droppings on the lampshades, cigarette burns on the bedding, I could go on.

The women at the front desk was lovely and she already had the room selected and my name on it because I called after I booked because of a terrible checking experience the night before at a different motel six. It is an older property, but other than disgusting sheets on the bed with two king hairs in them, the room was clean. I walked back to the front desk. She gave me clean sheets, so there was no issue overall. I would stay again for a travel stop for a cheap but overall on option.

The rooms are so dirty. There was urine on the toliet. The beds had hair and smelled like dirty clothes. The matteress was labeled from 1995! There was no microwave even though i paid for one. The smell of smoke was so strong, we smelled like it after. Left at 4am because we couldnt sleep. I didnt have high expectations but this was a new low! DO NOT STAY HERE!

The room had a horrible smell, cigarette burns on the bedspread (suppose to be non- smoking) & pillowcase was dirty, & black hairs in the sink . We slept afew hours & left in the middle of the night.
Never again will I select a Motel 8 to stay!

I enjoyed a quiet, uneventful stay at the Motel 6 in Santa Rosa, NM, recently. The room was clean and the bed was sound. There was no mini-fridge in the room, and the shower was small but adequate. The parking lot has a lot of potholes in it, so be careful! This is a budget motel, of course, but the staff was friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were quick.

Unfortunately, there was someone else's hair between the sheets, and on my pillow, insects around the toilet and the Fridge had dirt and food embedded in the pull handle. Super nasty. There was hair in the shower and I ended up showering in shower shoes. I was too tired to complain and just stopped taking pics of the filth. There was also a cavernous pot hole to negotiate in the parking lot.

Came in late from traveling and just needed to rest. The room I was given nothing worked and no wifi. Had to wait to be moved to another room which was not much better. The soda machines didn’t even work. Double bed room one washcloth? Staff were not knowledgeable and slow. Not returning.

Big Dogs stay free

I will have to say that motel 6 has come along way. The one I stayed in Roswell was almost like a Holiday Inn very nice. This one had not been cleaned very well, but since we only stayed one quick night, it wasn’t a big deal for the price and it is the only hotel that I know of that doesn’t charge for dogs to stay. For that it is a great value.

Very clean room. Had a refridgerator and a tv that worked. Asked for non smoking and riom did bot smell of smoke like many other \"non-smoking\" rooms in Santa Rosa. The beds were as expected for what we paid for a short amount of sleep while on the road. They did not charge us for tge 2 dog children we had with us. Staff was friendly

There are no frills here. Very basic but we were looking for basic and clean at a reasonable price after staying at two other basic motels in tow. In the last 2 months and having a horrible experience.

Air condotioner worked great and room was cool when we arrived.

If i had to complain about anything
1. Safety lock on main door was not prese t
2. Two very small(but clean) towels for showering could be upgraded a little but not a dealbreaker
3. Grounds could be a little cleaner

None of these were dealbreakers and for the money, if hour just looking for a break while traveli g that is clean and friendly I would not be hesitant to stay here.

Don't stay here. Just don't. This place was so sketchy that i felt showering in the bathroom would make me feel dirtier. The room clearly had not been cleaned, there were cigarette holes in the bedding and the door didn't seal in the door frame so there were random bugs in the room all night. Do not stay here. Spend the extra $20 and go somewhere else.

Starting off with the check in staff, her name was Mary and she was extremely professional and courteous. The room however was pretty gross, beds smelled like aftershave and had hairs in them. Shower had a hole in the pan, bathroom had roaches. Overall the room was pretty gross. Lots of random people outside at night drinking and partying. But it was a Saturday, so ya know whatever. Staff great, room was nasty. Final thoughts: pack your shower shoes!

UGH!! Never AGAIN!

The pool had a sign that said \"Closed for the Season\". We stayed in July. The pool had a torn cover over it the whole area was filthy. The office smelled of urine. The shower appeared coated with grimey soap scum and toilet in the room had some kind of black scratches all on it. Although my husband is 6 ft. the shower sprayed over his head and hit the wall behind HIM. I had trouble even getting wet. The lavatory ariator was so stopped up it sprayed water all over the top of the vanity, which was so small there was no place to put your toiletries. There was no room for your suitcase. Frankly it was just miserable. We just wanted a shower and a clean bed near the Interstate. We didn't expect much and it didn't even meed our VERY modest expectations!

With the low price I expected less than perfect. I got more than expected! Very worn down , poorly maintained property inside and out. Couldn't turn the bathroom sink on without splattering everything around the sink, yourself included. Very loud long term staying renters. Up fighting half the night. At least the road noise helped to cover it up!!!😔Would not recommend

Very disgusting .. I walked in and the room smelled lika a bad case of bo & piss.
Stripped bedding off & pubic hair was visible & possibly a woman was in bed previously who had long hair up towards top sheets a ball of hair shedding * nasty feet crusties.
Hole in bathroom as i took a dump watched s spider come out of it ,at that moment i was fighting the gnats attacking me .

Check in was great and we had two rooms. First one was fine but noisy being next to freeway and bright light outside keeps room from getting dark. After driving 14 hours and getting in just before midnight, Second room he couldn’t get in. Goes to office and he gets another room and it wasn’t nice. Hole in ceiling with bucket on floor. Manager said he should have come back but he had already said that was there last room. But in morning when he complained he said he should have come back. So good and bad. Fine for a few hours of sleep.

We have been on the road trip for five weeks staying in many motels hotels and this is the worst one of our trip. The room was filled with flies, the sink does not drain well. The shower only works about at half capacity the sink leaks underneath onto the floor. The toilet is dirty The blankets have cigarette in them.

I reserved a “deluxe” room with a microwave and a refrigerator. There was no refrigerator in the room. I could see light around the door and hear the traffic on the street in front of the motel. Thankfully, the room did not face the freeway. No shampoo or conditioner, just bar soap.
