Villa Angela is a very beautiful hotel and it sits high up above Taormina in the mountains with incredible views of Mount Etna, and the Harbour.
Everything was very clean, well kept and luxurious. The restaurant was delicious and the staff extra helpful. The pool was amazing. Truly a five star experience!

This hotel was first class in every single way. Food, drink and customer service was exceptional. Absolutely stunning decor and views of Sicily. The only downside for me was that I didn’t get to meet Jim Kerr but hopefully will do at some point as I will definitely be returning to this fantastic establishment 😁

The hotel itself was very clean, with good size rooms with balconies to take in the wonderful views. In fact there are great views from all areas of the hotel and it’s in a really good position between the hustle of Taormina and the lovely hilltop town of Castelmola.
We only stayed 2 nights as we were on a road trip around Sicily and although Taormina itself was our least favourite stop, that wasn’t because of the hotel and it could be used as a good base for a longer stay exploring the region, beaches etc. The town itself looks nice but was too busy for us and other than the amphitheatre it’s only really of interest if you want to shop in the designer stores that pack the old town.
We ate in the hotel restaurant both nights and the food and service were very good and reasonably priced for Taormina. The breakfast was also good with lots of options and friendly, efficient service.
We used the hotel shuttle which worked well, as did the local bus up to Castelmola (the bus stop is very near the hotel) and it was a wonderful little village with a nice walk back down.
Parking is available here for a fee (14 euros per night I think?) and although the parking area looked tight, they moved and shuffled cars around for you when required.

A wonderful stay in Taormina! The hotel’s location is simply outstanding, with magnificent views over the bay and Mount Etna that make every moment special. The rooms were comfortable and immaculate, the staff were warm and attentive, and breakfast on the terrace was unforgettable. Combining stunning scenery, excellent service, and easy access to the heart of Taormina, this hotel is a perfect choice for a relaxing Sicilian getaway. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Angela! The views are spectacular as is the breakfast buffet! The front desk staff were very helpful with organizing transfers, restaurant recommendations, etc. The complimentary shuttle service into town was awesome!

Beautiful hotel with great staff. Super clean. The views were fabulous! Restaurant served excellent dinner and the breakfast was fantastic as well with lots of choice. Lots to love about this hotel. However, it was so hot in our room at night and the AC didn’t work (called front desk and they confirmed this) so had to sleep with window open which meant no sleep as people were riding motorbikes screeching all night long up and down the hill. Super noisy so that ruined it for me. I was exhausted the next day.

My husband and I both loved this beautiful hotel. From the time we were checked in by the lovely Ada, until the sad time when we had to leave.
The hotel is lovely and the views are breathtaking. Our room was great and had a large terrace that looked out at Mt. Etna and the coastline below.
Walter was great at driving us into town and back, as well as being informative about the area.
The restaurant had a great view and a delicious choice of food on the menu. The breakfasts were also incredible!
Our room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfy.
We were already looking at available dates of when we could come back. It’s definitely a place we will return to again. Highly recommend this hotel and their wonderful, caring staff.

We booked a two bedroom unit and we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy it. Lovely hotel but in trying to use the large jet tub that was the focus of the bathroom, there was no water pressure for hot water and rendered it useless. Could not be fixed and was likely not a new problem. One person showered in the evening and the water pressure was extremely poor. In the morning there was no hot water at all as the boiler was apparently off so no one showered in the morning. One of the beds was notably poorer than the other bed and experienced significant discomfort. As a result, I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel. It was the end of their season but the price should have been more appropriately adjusted to align with condition and experience. There is a free shuttle to town which is very nice and convenient.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful, rooms tastefully decorated and furnished and the swimming pool was such a relaxing space during the hot weather of our visit. Oh and views of Mt. Etna were stunning. The hotel shuttle bus for a small fee was essential due to the location up the hill.

This property was incredible. My only regret was staying only one night. The suite was so spacious with two balconies with stunning views. Huge jacuzzi in its own room apart from the bathroom. I loved the stunning artwork in the hotel. The breakfast had a huge selection and was incredible. The pool was too cold to swim but with those views, who cares. It is also surrounded by delicious restaurants if you don’t want to take their shuttle to town. The drive up is a bit scary, but worth it for the views. Located between Taormina and Castelmola.

Getting to the property was difficult and finding the entrance was very hard. Parking onsite is very limited but the staff was great at helping us navigate. Room service for was subpar at best but convenient. There is a lot of construction on the way so map out alternate routes prior to arriving and departing. Other than that, the venue and staff are superb. It's very beautiful there. They do provide a shuttle to downtown which is very easy to locate.

Loveddddd this hotel! Everything about it was perfect and the staff was very accommodating. This hotel is located up a mountain so the only way into town is by shuttle, taxi or driving. Do not recommend driving here! We didn’t have any issues getting a shuttle, however the last one is at 11:45pm so if you’re trying to have a night out you’ll have to figure out your own way back. Overall, great experience with a great view!

Fantastic little hotel, very quiet and relaxing. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room with large terrace and view of Mount Etna. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Nice pool area with plenty of sun loungers whatever time of day, some days we virtually had it to ourselves! The shuttle service down to town is a great touch too! A real gem of a find.

I made a last minute switch from my Airbnb in the old town of Taormina to Villa Hotel Angela and I’m so glad I did. What drew me to Angela was that they provided free onsite parking. It the town center, driving is prohibited, so you have to park far away and carry your bags in. After a day of long travel, I knew that wasn’t for me. The pictures of Villa Hotel Angela don’t do it justice. The property is just stunning. The view from my balcony was epic. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s a shuttle running to and from town every 30 minutes. I decided to walk into town rather than take the shuttle and that took about 20/25 minutes. My room was clean and spacious. Breakfast by the pool with views of Mt. Etna was beautiful. The only downside was that the shower ran hot, then cold, than warm, then scalding hot seemingly randomly. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone

Literal perfection

This place is actually epic. Like - there could not be a more perfect place to stay in Taormina. The balcony views and lobby views and pool views literally took my breath away and I could not stop jumping up and down with excitement. Every room has a balcony and the view can not be beat. The walk down to the town is only 15 minutes. The hotel also has a shuttle that goes down there and it’s perfect. There’s a stunning restaurant just a 5 minute walk up above. The staff are so helpful and wonderful, and the older gentleman who greeted us and checked us in was our absolute favorite. We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and I could not be happier with this choice!

We just got married and spent a week exploring Sicily. Hotel Angela is a great romantic spot on top of the hill of Taormina. It has got one of the best views and great services to explore the city and the beaches nearby.

Villa Angela is a gem, away from the crowds and the noise and a wonderful view of Mt Etna, clouds permitting. We were welcomed warmly and delighted with our room with its wide balcony overlooking Mt Etna. After a quick G &T on the patio overlooking a stunning view we decided to take the hotel shuttle to Taormina. It took around 7 minutes to get to the start of Via Umberto the main and vibrant street filled with shops and restaurants which leads to the Greek Theatre. The shuttle, fee depending on how long you stay, has set times of departure to and from the hotel and you need to book but it is well worth it, very convenient and inexpensive compared to the other option of a taxi. The buffet breakfast had a good choice with cereals, fruit, juices, cold cuts, cheese, hot food selection and Italian breads & pastries but could have been better. Staff were helpful and friendly.

First time in Taormina

Our gps had a little trouble finding but it's right at the corner of a switchback coming up the hill. Easy parking (lot is above the hotel), which is hard to find in Taormina. Beautiful views! And great service from everyone - receptionist, restaurant staff, etc. Great location, 10 min walk down stairs into Taormina centre. The receptionist we had gave us lots of recommendations and reviewed info on a map for us. They also let us check in early because the room was ready. Very good buffet breakfast, delicious and lots of options. Nice pool, very clean and refreshing with views of Mt Etna. Would highly recommend and stay there again.

Lovely place to stay overall. Nice, friendly staff, particularly at the front desk. Good and varied breakfast. We had a nice room with a large balcony and a sterling view of the coast and Mount Etna.
While the hotel is not in the town of Taormina, but in the hills outside (thus the excellent view), the hotel provides a shuttle service at a reasonable rate which is very reliable and about a ten-minute journey to the outskirts of the town. The hotel does not provide dinner but simple snacks are available throughout the day. There is a restaurant nearby but it is a short walk away up a steep-enough hill: if you have mobility problems that could be an issue for you. We enjoyed our stay and would stay in the hotel again without hesitation as it is a quiet, peaceful, well-run place.

Beautiful hotel with spectacular views

The Villa Angela sits above the main area of Taormina making it somewhat difficult to access however taxis are plentiful and worth the cost. Hotel shuttle buses are also available at a very reasonable daily or weekly rate. The location may not be central, but instead it has spectacular views of Mount Etna and the ocean. Watching the sunset from your balcony is an unforgettable experience. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I would definitely return!

You can walk to the town in 20 minutes, or get a 5 minute free shuttle each way which is SUPER easy to use.

Breakfast at the hotel is VERY basic, but you are not there to eat, and it is a bit annoying there is not a lot of water in the room but can get bottles from reception. But the main thing is the views from the room with the large balcony sitting areas are incredible, the parking is really handy, all in all amazing spot.

Brilliant place!!

This place has the most amazing views and is such a stunning place to stay. The staff are all fabulous and help with anything you want... the shuttle bus which takes you to town is a great idea and you can organize to be picked up when you are ready. The breakfast was full of fresh products and the menu for lunch just as lovely. Room service was excellent. The hotel was beautifully done with lots of amazing art work. I would go back again for sure!

Stunning views, exceptional staff!

Hotel makes everything very convenient so that you can really relax. While getting up the hill is tough in a rental car the views make it all worth it. For a small fee you can get unlimited shuttle rides provided by the hotel to town which we made use of day and night. Breakfast is included and they have snacks through the day you can purchase at a very reasonable price. Can't wait to go back to villa angela!

This is a fabulous hotel

If you are coming to Taormina on your own or as a couple I reccomend staying at this hotel. It is a four star hotel that feels like a 5 star. The hotel is stunning in its decoration and design. Every suite has amazing views. The pool and pool area is beautiful and functional. We wanted to relax and unwind and this was the perfect place. The breakfast buffet is excellent; serving everything from cereal, eggs to parmigana and delicate pastries. I am gluten intolerant and they provided gluten free chocolate croissants and bread. The staff are happy and always willing to serve. Furnishings are very comfortable. We didn't want to leave.

excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Small hotel but one of its many charms. Great location near enough town but far enough away to relax. Frequent shuttle service to town for small weekly charge 20 euros. A number of guests we met had been return visitors which is a testament in itself as to quality of hotel. One slight drawback no coffee/tea making facilities in room but minor inconvenience. Will hopefully return next year.
