What really stood out at Regina Isabella was the service. The staff always remembered us and were so helpful and friendly. We loved laying out on the jetty and the food at the restaurant by the pool was some of the best we had during our stay. Breakfast was also incredible. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again!

Lovely stay!

Hotel and room was fantastic, old Italian country style. The beach, layout, sun beds on the cliff, the epic scenery and even different style of tiles in every single room - what makes it so special. Minus was a lack of non fish/seafood option as my partner doesn’t eat it but other that that food was good for me.

We were really looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, this resort did not live up to expectations. Unless you’re European—specifically Italian—I would not recommend staying here. As non-Italian guests, we consistently felt overlooked and not treated with the same level of respect or attention as others. Basic assistance was hard to come by, and the front desk staff in particular were unhelpful and dismissive.

The other guests were extremely rude—we were repeatedly met with dirty looks and an overall unwelcoming attitude. There were also a lot of young children, which made the atmosphere feel more hectic and less relaxing than expected.

The restaurant staff were nice and friendly but that was the only good service.

As for the hotel itself, it’s quite dated and set up like a maze. The only nice aspect is the pool area and the sea view. They advertised having 2 pools and one is not even open and the other one is filled with kids screaming.

Would not return or recommend.

This was a lovely old hotel and wonderful stay . Although the hotel is older and it was impeccably cared for and felt so idyllic. The service was amazing. We were greeted by the manager upon arriving and everyone was so friendly. We had originally booked four nights in Naples, but did not like the crowds, and felt it to be dirty. So we left most of our luggage in our Naples hotel and booked one night at the Regina Isabella. We took the ferry that morning ,arrived early to have lunch by the pool, and after we checked out the next day , we were able to return to the pool to relax until we returned later that afternoon. Our dinner was amazing in the restaurant by the water, and after we loved having drinks listening to the jazz band. My only critique would be I wish the sheets and bed were softer but the feather pillows were perfect despite I would definitely stay here again

Property is dated but staff is very attentive. This is the smallest and quietest town on the island.

The affiliated taxi drivers are a little shady. Be sure to get an estimate from the concierge and confirm rate with driver before you start the trip.

I liked all the facilities and spacious size of bedrooms
The spa was excellent and herb garden a delight. Used for drinks was very fresh and enjoyable.
The therme pool was never too busy and was used by many guests. Three days of maintenance was unfortunate. Two underwater jets still did not function so pool users had to sometimes wait to enjoy the massaging treatment of the water jets. Everyone was patient:)
The external pool was really enjoyable and pool lifeguards very attentive to ensure guests had sun loungers these were moved to enjoy the sun movement during the day.
Always enough sun beds for all the guests staying at the hotel.
Food at restaurants was excellent and my only suggestion is change this menu each few days or alternate two or three. That would be much better.

Breakfast is excellent with great choice for differing preferences. Fresh juice made to guests wishes in most days.

A return trip that was even better than I remember

This was our second time to return to this fabulous 5 star resort & spa. We were there in October 2017 and returned to find the same outstanding service, luxury and perfectly maintained property. A visit to the spa and Terme is a must. Look for Antonioetta she is one of the spa customers service team. She will help you put together a spa experience that is perfect for you. The morning breakfast which included and all the food and beverage service is excellent and priced very fair for a 5 Star location.

Gorgeous Hotel in Lacco Ameno!

This is my 2nd visit to the beautiful Hotel Regina Isabella in Lacco Ameno. I ADORE this hotel and cannot honestly write enough about its beauty, location, and OUTSTANDING customer service. Tony, Rafaela, and David at the front desk are amazing, and make sure that any information you may need is available to you. Their genuine concern and warmth for the customer is incredible. Guilt, who served me drinks and lunch on outdoor rock is fantastic, and she was my server last year. Sitting on their rock and jumping in the sea is heaven on earth. I hope to return every year to this gorgeous hotel! Thank you to all the outstanding staff who make me feel so welcome and at home!

Regina Isabella is one of the first places I stayed in 2011 when I began a new chapter in my life. Now I live in Italy and so by a short ferry ride can arrive to the island. Each of the five small towns, connected by winding roads and healing waters, has a unique mystery and charm; however this resort is my end all be all happy place in the island. Under the shoulder of Lacco Ameno lies a private beach and pier, a saltwater pool, elegant rooms, an extensive spa and fitness area, delectable cuisine and gracious staff members that create a “family feel” in a five star resort. If you want to feel truest invigorated and refreshed go experience the embrace of Ischia at the Regina Isabella.

Magical stay at Albergo Della Regina Isabella!!!

My stay at Hotel Albergo Della Regina Isabella was absolutely magical!!!! It is truly one of the most gorgeous hotels I have ever stayed! I was warmly greeted by Pasquale who showed me to a beautiful room with a beautiful view of the sea! Words cannot truly express the beauty of this property. I spend the first afternoon at it’s gorgeous beach grotto, with Raffaele, the lifeguard, there to assist w a perfect spot to relax and soak in the sun! I looked forward to arriving to it the next day after touring the island. Jumping in the sea, and soaking in the sun at the hotel with its incredible staff was heaven on earth!!! The customer service was outstanding, and you were truly made to feel at home. I cannot say enough about Giuliano, Salvatore, Raffaele at the front desk and lifeguard, Pasquale, Teresa and the entire staff who made my stay AMAZING!!! I cannot wait to return to this gorgeous property with an amazing staff!

Beautiful hotel situated in a great location. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional.

Room was comfortable, but WIFI did NOT work during our stay! Several floor tiles were lose, and some could be easily removed. Dangerous situation!!

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of items. Staff was accommodating and helpful.

Overall, very good stay, but some attention to detail may help get this hotel to a 5 star rating

This is an amazing hotel the location the service the Spa the various pools and the two restaurants were outstanding

The views from our balcony were memorable. The staff are simply amazing they even drove us to catch our ferry back to Napoli and the driver carried our bags to the ferry to make sure we got on the correct ferry. The little village of Laco Amrno has great restaurants and the beaches are great. A visit for a day to the thermal Springs of Posiden were a highlight as well.

A Magical Stay in a Delightful Hotel

I love hotels and almost never give perfect ratings, but this hotel was an absolute delight in every way. But the most incredible part was the service. I can't say enough about the interactions with every single member of the staff from the delightful, eager to help, front desk to the waiters to the people at the beach.

I think some 5 star hotels make you feel like uncomfortable, like you are lucky to even be there, but not here. This staff makes every single person feel welcome. And I had yet another issue with lost luggage, and the front desk staff was all over it. Updating me and trying to help everytime I passed through the lobby.

The food is amazing at every restaurant on the property, yet they are happy to recommend others. The beach area is lovely and you can reserve your favorite seats every day. Pool is a little small, but hopefully not what you are coming to this magical waterfront hotel for.

Rooms are filled with antiques and could use one nice place to sit other than the bed and one chair, so if you're looking for ultra modern, this isn't it. Go for the sea front balcony if you can. Its stunning and worth it.

Ischia is magical and The Regina Isabella is even more magical. My only wish is that we had stayed longer. We will be back! Grazie Mille!

Good hotel with some positives and negatives

We loved our stay at the Regina Isabella and thought the staff were very attentive, and the room very clean. However we felt the pool was a bit dirty, the air conditioning needs up grading as is seemingly very old and given it was our honeymoon we thought it was odd to be given a room with two single beds pushed together. But despite those minor issues we loved our stay and didn't see those as being a problem. Would recommend to friends.

Nice historic hotel with great wellness/spa

We chose this hotel over Terme Manzi because of its history (Elizabeth Taylor, etc). It has all necessary comforts (including very useful port transportation upon arrival and departure), very good breakfast with sea view, fantastic spa facility and service (Signiora Constanza - head of the Spa is lovely lady, speaks very good English and is very helpful in arranging all your treatments). One of the reception staff (sorry, forgot his name) is extremely helpful and very very nice - he helped us with everything we needed (tickets, arrangements, etc.).
We had one very unpleasant experience with unexpected fireworks that absolutely sounded like gunshots during the first night of our stay. They came around 1am for about 15min I was scared like hell. The hotel manager afterwards apologized and explained that this is a very usual thing - fireworks at various occasions (there was a wedding at our hotel that night), and they don't let the guests know as this is such a normal practice in that area. So just be warned in case you hear that noise - this is not shooting and no terrorists, this is just a part of some celebration.
Other than that - absolutely enjoyed our stay. The hotel is somewhat 50s design but has all necessary facilities.
