Room was clean ,excellent service, breakfast was delicious. I booked our room on October (5 months before travel)because I wanted a quiet room. We had our room on the busy street windows. We slept only 4-5 hours because was so noisy until 1 am and from 6 am started work a garbage trucks, cars .I was disappointed for this reason.

We found this place on hotels.com and it is the second place in a row that has been a home run. The room was a great deal at around $200 per night. Breakfast is included and it is quite a spread. Service there is impeccable!

Good location to access museums (10-15 min each way). Piazza Maggiore is also 15 min away. All our spots for apertivo and dinner were 10-15 minutes.

Check out Trattoria del Rosso and Taverna dei Peccati for dinner. If you like being seen for aperitivo check out Zerocinquantino.

The hotel has a nice quiet back patio. Fun place for drinks if you are tired and don't want to leave the property.

The bed (king) was comfortable. Bathroom worked well. We had one of rhe smallest rooms on property and it was still perfect.

This was the perfect location, centrally located right between the train station and the main Piazza. Also close to many culinary hotspots like Mo mortadella, sable gelato, and forno brisa galliera. We appreciated how friendly the staff were. There is a front desk available with luggage storage. The property was also very clean, the room was spacious, and had a good view of the Main Street. My main complaint is there is no AC when we visited (April 2026). It was a bit warm this time of year. I would stay here again for sure. The wifi works great.

The room we had was spectacular. The location is great. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, the tub drain stopper in our room got stuck so the water wasn’t draining properly. We had to ask for staff’s help a few times. We were offered a change rooms but the other room was smaller so we decided to stay. It was a minor issue. Other than that, our stay was wonderful.

The room was spotless, staff was professional, friendly, helpful. I did not have the Wi-Fi password so I couldn’t tell you if it was fast and I departed early so I also cannot comment on breakfast. The few things that dropped my rating from five stars to four were minor, and certainly would not stop me from returning. I did not find the showers sufficiently hot. Maneuvering past the bathroom door was a complicated gymnastic feat. The door hits the bidet so it only opens halfway. It’s already a narrow door, so the opening is undersized. The bathroom counter blocks one side, and the door handle protrudes in the other. Awkward and uncomfortable, particularly in the middle of the night. The shower door is equally impossible, and even after the further gymnastics and rock-climbing efforts to get around it so that it can open, then it starts swinging back into the shower under its own weight. There’s only one nightstand, so thou shalt sleep on that side of the bed, regardless of one’s preference. And I really would have appreciated a chair (other than the straight back desk chair) but that may be a matter of economy, as I did not book an upgraded room. Then the hair dryer stopped working mid-style. And there was no price list for the mini bar. See? Little stuff - enough to keep it from all five stars, but not enough for areal complaint. My room was absolutely a good value for the price. I have enjoyed the breakfast on a previous stay and would not hesitate to do so again.

The room was very clean. The staff was competent and polite. The hallways are wide.
The outside building walls have a dirty look and the hotel is quite dated on the inside-worn carpeting, dated decor. There are certain amenities I appreciate that were not available to me: no iron and iron board…I do not like hairdryers where I have to continuously press a bottom for it to operate.
The location is excellent, but the hotel does not feel like home.

This is a good hotel in an excellent location. The room was spacious and clean, but somewhat dated and worn. The staff was efficient, but not warm and friendly like in the other Italian hotels where we stayed. We didn’t have that “home away from home” feel at this hotel, but we felt safe, and had everything we needed.

Nice location. Rooms were clean, the bathroom was a nice size and we appreciated the double sink. The Bistro breakfast was nice with a sufficient amount of choices. The carpets in the hallways could use updating.... overall staff were friendly but we found other hotels we stayed at in Italy had a better Bar atmosphere if thats important to you.

The room was large and so was the bathroom. Nice kidney bath. Clean. The room was well equipped. Comfortable sofa, plus table and chair. The only negative of the room was that the air conditioning is turned off on 1st October and the room was hot, but the windows did open, but it was too warm when going to sleep.

Some areas of the hotel corridors were showing signs of age and could do with upgrading.

The breakfast was good (buffet). Service for breakfast was pleasant and the service during the day either in the dining area or in the outdoor garden area was pleasant and efficient.

Location is very good. Easy walking into the main attractions of historic Bologna. The only problem is that new tram tracks are being built. The road is completely barriered off. There are some crossing points for pedestrians, but on arrival by taxi, they have to drop you on the busy main road, and you then walk to the hotel (not very far). Plenty of shops of all descriptions nearby. 10 minutes walk to the central train station.

I would stay here again.

Our room window was open and had no lock, the window was large enough for someone to get in the room.We brought this to the hotels attention and nothing was done. Our room keys didn’t work repeatedly. The staff indicated it was our phones being next to the cards but we did not have the phones next to the cards. The staff were dismissive.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and here’s my brief summary:

Pros:
The management agreed to move us to a larger room on a higher floor, which we appreciated.

Cons:
Unfortunately, the new room turned out to be the noisiest in the entire building, located at a corner facing ongoing road construction that ran daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The shower pressure was very weak, and the water temperature fluctuated constantly.

When a hotel or its surroundings are under construction, Expedia should consider lowering the star rating to reflect the major inconvenience this causes to guests.

The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from the train station and 10 mins walk up the main shopping street to the piazza maggiore where all the main sights are and plenty of restaurant's and shops.

Usamos dos habitaciones una estaba bien, la otra tenía un olor muy desagradable, tratamos de ventilarla pero el olor no se iba, los del hotel decían no percibirlo pero era bastante molesto, terminamos durmiendo todos en una sola habitación, un poco incómodo para 5 personas en una habitación de 3.

We visited this hotel while the outside corridor was under construction which made it a challenge to get to the hotel. That said, the rooms were pleasant and it's within walking distance to the main palazzo with food and drink. On-site we wished the 'bar' had a better set-up and was more comfortable to sit at.

This hotel is in a fantastic location but because of the construction work for the new tram system you are in the middle of a construction site, so it is noisy and dusty during the day. Also the main attraction of this location, i.e. the collonades are just hot noisy crowded tunnels which defeat the object of their purpose, such a shame !

Overall this was a very nice hotel and we had a pleasant stay. Every staff member that we spoke to was very nice and helpful with any question that we had. They all spoke very good English and were polite with my terrible Italian. :)
Raquela at the front tlesk in the mornings had AMAZING restaurant recommendations. Marissa, at the front desk in the evenings, was not only nice and helpful but also remembered my wife and I by name after only one day.
While the first room we received had an air conditioning unit that did not work and needed some repairs, the staff was quick to send someone to check it out and then quick to give us a different room.
I will personally plan to stay here on my next visit to Bologna.
