My wife and I had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend stay at The Egryn Abersoch. This a wonderful small family run hotel in a great location to enjoy the delights of Abersoch. It is a 5 minute walk to the fabulous beach and village centre shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. We have had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to others thinking of visiting Abersoch

A fantastic location to be based from for a few days. Superbe room overlooking the Abersoch bay which was perfect to return to after long days in the boatyard. Really lovely accommodation, 5 minute walk into Abersoch village. The owners were really nice & friendly. Very relaxed & made to feel very welcome. The master bedroom in the Bach Suite room was lovely & plenty of storage & coat hangers. Also plenty of plug sockets for charging phones, which is quite rare. Mini kitchen with everything you need for a few nights & a coffee machine with pods.

A lovely building that was absolutely spotless but I struggled with the self service side of things which I felt was very impersonal.
I would also suggest that the facilities in Room one are only suitable for the very slender amongst us as access to the shower and toilet would not be suitable for those carrying a few excess pounds.

Really nice retreat

Booked a double room in preparation for the ROC event. really lovely room, microwave, mini fridge, crockery, TV, bathroom with towels and toiletries. really comfortable stay and could have stayed longer! Will be back for sure as ideal location for the Abersoch beach or short walk into the town and harbour. Nice to have dedicated parking spaces that are not so tightly crammed in.

Beautiful property, easy walk to beach and restaurants. Our room was small but very pretty everything you need. Liked the added touch of fridge and microwave and dishes if you felt like having breakfast. The only thing was i did not realise the room was on the top floor which if you fiund stairs tricky then that would be an issue made it up slowly. Would definitely recommend

Our room was a little small but perfectly useable fir our shirt stay.bed was very comfortable but bathroom a little small.
To be fair it was half term and the owner apologised for putting us in there which wasnt an issue with us.

We had room 1.. The room was ok, however the bathroom was not adequate.. there was very little room between the shower and wall and literally had to walk in sideways .. to the toilet
Had we been a larger couple… it would have been a real struggle .. This really should be addressed to save embarrassment of the quest.

Breakfast was good. Service was disjointed. Needed more than one person to take orders, deliver food and clear tables. Room was extremely small as was the shower cubicle. Worried about what seemed to be the lack of fire escape. We were on the top floor and uneasy about this. Did request room service and only changed towels. Definitely not good value for what we paid.

Mike and Lynne were lovely hosts and we were very comfortable the room was excellent and well stocked with tea coffee milk etc so we didn’t have to keep asking for refills. Breakfast was good and overall Covid rules were adhered to perfectly. We have booked a return visit soon.

Had a great time, position of hotel is superb for access to the beach, shops, bars, restaurants etc. Under the present circumstances with Covid 19, it is very difficult for hotels but our stay was made as normal as possible within the restrictions in place. It was a very pleasant stay, the hotel was spotless and we felt very safe. We would definitely return here in the future and have recommended the Egryn to family and friends already.

Lovely place to stay but disappointed with a few things had to have breakfast in room due to COVID but had to perch on bed only one chair small things but all add up.. light bulb gone / shower door awkward to close/rusty toilet brush holder. Plenty of tea and coffee/extra showering stuff so very pleased about that.

The hotel was fine, although it was pricey at £155 a night.
Breakfast was served to your room due to COVID guidelines and The sausage sandwich was very nice. However we ordered toast and a croissant but there was no butter or jam.
The room was clean but the shower needs replacing as it does not turn off very easily.
The one concern I have is with the owner - he was quite rude to us. We arrived at the hotel early and went to ask if our room might be ready. The answer we received was a sarcastic “you will not be checking in until 4pm”. My mum asked if she could use the toilet as we had been travelling for 3 hours - he said no, but did relent begrudgingly.
On our departure he followed us and showed us a picture of what looked like an envelope, and made a scarcastic comment about paying for the room - I told him that we had already paid but he insisted on checking and made us feel like criminals.
He had a very dislikable way with him Which will impact on any decision we make about going back.

The owner Mike was lovely - breakfast was better than the majority of hotels I have stayed in - although we didn’t use it, the honesty bar was a fab idea. The room was quaint - 5 mins from the centre of the village & the walkway to the beach just across the road and accessible in 5 mins. I would highly recommend the Egryn and would hope to stay again soon - we were in Room 2.

Mike the owner was very accommodating and friendly he couldn’t do enough for us. He was very informative about the meat free, and Glamorgan vegetarian sausage option at breakfast which I really enjoyed. I do eat some meat but it was nice to try them. He has a good sense of humour, plus he made suggestions about places in the local area.
