Parking is very good. Parking lot is secured.

Everything was great except the pool

Loved the room and the staff. The bed was exceptional. Location was great.

The swimming pool was a big disappointment. The water was green and full of bugs swimming in it. I was going for a swim there but decided against it. No other guests visited the pool either when I was there to observe it. Strange to let the pool be such a letdown when the rest is so good. Hope they fix this in the future, but I won’t be returning. If I pay for a pool and a pool is advertised, then I should get it.

We stay at the Imperial Hotels where possible and admit that our favourite Imperial hotel is in Korat.
We were looking to stay at the Imperial Hotel Hua Hin but unfortunately there is no room Nov 27-29!

The building is a little dated and there was difficulty finding available electrical outlets in the room. But it is very well kept, a gorgeous lobby, nice pool, and a fantastic buffet breakfast. We would definitely stay there again!

Past its glory days

We booked a stay here for us and two generations of our family due to the facilities, including the gardens and Executive Lounge. Sadly, we were disappointed in both.

The hotel was previously part of the 4 star Dusit chain, but has since been sold to the 3 stat Imperial chain. The rooms were clean and had been refurbished to some extent (old furniture, etc not replaced). The staff, other than in the restaurant, were pleasant and helpful, and breakfast okay.

The \"grounds\" other than the pool overlooked a very busy 6 lane highway and it was impossible to sit in this area. The promised Executive Lounge was a small, dark room (the lights were kept switched off) with about 4 chairs and a non functioning coffee machine; neither a lounge nor \"executive\".

The restaurant had a limited, over-priced menu and was barely used by our fellow guests save for breakfast.

This was once no doubt Korat's premier hotel, but it is now in a sad state of decline. There are other hotels (especially the Kantary) which are far better.

Returning!!!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, my room was very clean and comfortable, had an old style, solid wood doors and furniture, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was in great condition with plenty of hot water, the staff is awesome, buffet is good. I love Night Markets and there's a big one right down the street, plenty of places to eat during the day. I liked it, will be back for sure.

As this was a dusit hotel before it still has the elegance and grandeur .the rooms are very good as well as the various wings in the hotel.Clearly it will be a challenge for new management as they need to cut costs .I would only rate the breakfast 3 stars.its adequate but not great.

A good hotel in Korat

The hotel must get a stronger marketing office. The facility is very good but needs some work. Clean your grounds, simple. Work on your pool area, get ride of unsafe furniture for starters. Get a new F&B manager. How can you have a great Chinese restaurant like you have and not promote it. Stayed at the hotel three days ate at the Chinese restaurant three night each night the waiting staff had to turn on the lights!!! Are you open or not? The breakfast buffet can be improved, better quality and much better staff training. Management issue not worker issue. The Imperial Hotel is a very good facility that’s poorly managed at the worker level-mid-management. The bathrooms are nicer, cleaner and better maintained that the JW Marriott in Bangkok. Somebody is doing something right. Hotel transportation, provide complimentary shuttle service to Central Plaza, Terminal 21. The Korat cab company is a disgrace to the city to Korat and to Thailand; a country that for it tourism destination. It hurts businesses like the Imperial Hotel. If you are visiting Korat, the Imperial Hotel is a “good” facility, clean safe and secure, with clean beds and very clean bathrooms. Quiet as well. Fix your small problems, customer will come. Provide a location map in the lobby for shopping areas, places to eat and visit, hospital facilities, clean your pool area. Work on your grounds, you have a pond on your property make and promote a walking path. Address your mosquito problem in the lobby lounge.

I would recommend the Dusit Princess if you are ever in the Korat area. I was there for the weekend to hang out with a friend and was not disappointed. I loved the fact that there were restaurants, a coffee shop and a grocery store near by if you needed anything. It was very clean and the staff was so friendly! Any time we needed a taxi the front desk called one for us and it was their in less than 15 min. I was impressed. The pool was refreshing to swim in and a decent size. The only downfall was that breakfast was 500 Baht. Other than that I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again if ever in the area.

we got a room in the 9th floor(the highest) the room was totally new decorated with modern facilities in the bathroom. big room with one king bed. the shower is big and comfortable. swimming pool is big and nice. the hotel have fitness room (I didn't use). breakfast is above the standard in Thai hotels at that area.
there are many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.
price was good and it was great value for the money we paid.

350 baht for glass of bad wine (gone off)

Hotel has no driver. Took over an hour for them to find a taxi for me. Disinterested bar staff sold me a small glass of wine which had gone bad, for over 350 baht.
Similar in most ways to hotels that charge 900 baht a night. Waste of money.
On my own, did not want to leave my bags alone at the top of the ramp, lobby entrance, while I parked my car, so had to wrestle them up the ramp. No sign of any porters who were hanging around inside. Then they tried to grab them, do doubt with a tip in mind.
Breakfast, most hotels have with egg cooks or precooked eggs. Nothing here. The bit of bacon they has was just blobs of fat.

The hotel is a bit outdated but clean, the 4th floor was in renovation and the entire hotel needs it. The only negative point for me is the fact that hat was supposed to be hot water in the shower was barely warm.

Great Hotel for Comfort and Style

We received the best service and made to feel so welcome which is something missing in most hotels today.
I was staying with my friend and my daughter in law and 4months old baby. The staff made every effort to
help us. I was having trouble with my WIFI and the reception desk called on their teck.expert and the problem
was fixed. The reason for this high standard I believe is the hotel caters for business meetings, and business
travel . I wish all hotels in tourist areas were as good as this.

Great value for money hotel. Ive read some reviews saying it was a bit dated. Maybe a little true but I still found the rooms and hotel in general to be nice enough. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is fine, its 7 minutes drive to the main shopping mall and Im not sure anything is particularly central in what i would call quite a spread out city, pleasant city. Certainly for the price of the rooms I found this hotel great value and of good quality considering you are in one of the lesser westernised parts of Thailand.

We stayed here in Oct 2014. The hotel itself is lovely with very friendly and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfasts. There was a wonderful selection of food. The rooms and bathrooms though are very tired for the price that you pay to stay here. Unfortunately the pool was being renovated when we were here but we were only notified of that after we checked in so we decided to move to another Hotel after 2 days.

I had a great stay there. I was upgraded upon checking in, without even asking. The staff was polite, but not ever-present, which can be a little annoying some times. While I have not stayed in all the hotels in Korat, I am fairly certain that this is the best of the options. I would definitely stay there again. There is also plenty of parking, if you happen to have your own car.

The Dusit Princess is recognised as the best hotel in Khorat by the locals (we were often told this), and it does overall live up to this reputation. The public areas of the hotel are very comfortable and attractive. The staff are wonderful, helpful and most attentive. The buffet breakfast was very good. The room itself had all that was required, but is starting to show its age. The bathroom needs attention, with mouldy grouting and shower curtain. The position of the hotel is on the outskirts of Khorat, and is too far away from the town centre to allow for walking. There are not many metered taxis in Khorat, so you will need to use tuk tuks (and barter the fare ahead of the ride). However, mostly we found the locals honest and reasonable, as Khorat is not a tourist place.

Very nice hotel. Staff very helpful. English is limited, but probably a lot better than in other hotels. A little outside central part of town, need taxi. Supermarket in a small mall 3 minute walk from hotel. Restaurant in hotel was good. Variety of Thai and western dishes. Room was fine.
Staff can arrange tours. The taxi driver for city tour spoke no English, so take a map from hotel and show him places you want to go. Driver for trips to Phimai and Khao Yai Nat'l Park spoke very little English but was able to communicate places I wanted to see.
First time in Isan province of Thailand and I could see English speakers are at a premium.
Glad I stayed here and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Price was very reasonable.

Superb \"Dusit Princess Room\"

Enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel albeit that the stated time for check in was 2 p.m we had arrived at 4.30 p.m and our room was not ready due to previous customer over stayed in OUR room. Nevertheless, I must commend staff for their professionalism for which they tried to amend the situation. The two rooms we'd booked were spotlessly cleaned and the service were of a high standards. Perhaps it was the period for which we stayed at there were plentiful of choices at breakfast .

This was the second time we've stayed at the Dusit Princess Korat and would return again. It's not close enough to walk out to nearby restaurants, but we had a car so it was no problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got upgraded, so that was a bonus.

My boyfriend and I checked into the Dusit Princess Korat late at night on a Friday night and we had a great long weekend there. We used Korat as our homebase to go to Khao Yai National Park and Phimai. The Dusit was a great place to be based. Our room was clean and pretty quiet. Room service was fast. The breakfast buffet (although not included in our room) was delicious and 200 baht a person. Everyone was polite, pleasant, and eager to help. They ordered us taxis and had a lot of information for us. I would definitely come back!
