The hotel was a convenient stopover on our way back from Denmark. The guy on reception was helpful and we were pleased with our room that had a double in one part and 3 singles in an adjoining room. Beds were comfy and the shower/bathroom was fine. The decor was a little tired and dated and there were only limited options in the restaurant (which was mentioned and apologised for). The fridge in the room didn’t work which was a shame and it would have been nice to have had a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Overall a pleasant stay, thank you.

The location to take the Puttgarden ferry the next day was perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Property was dated but very clean and a huge bedroom with very comfy bed.

The location was convenient to the ferry, but the hotel room was dirty. Our carpet was muddy and the trash had not been emptied in the bathroom. Additionally, the shower floor was slippery and leaked all over the bathroom floor.

The restaurant was lovely. View of ocean from room was lovely.

Cheap and cheerful!!

Overnight pit stop driving from Germany to Denmark. Room was very dated as was the bathroom.
Didn’t really use any amenities arrived late and left early.
Location is perfect for the ferry and the check in staff were very friendly.

Firstly, location is excellent- 2 minutes to ferry crossing. It serves the purpose. Stayed the night prior to catching a ferry. Rooms are big, but facilities are very dated and it is not particularly clean. Beds however were very comfortable and if not the horrible small or manure it would have been a good nights sleep. Not for light sleeper either- pretty noisy through the night. Food was fine- nothing blew our minds, basic. Breakfast was good- just enough choice and served early too

Old hotel. Lucky we were there from saturday till sunday because building was being renevated and there were no builders at work. Hotel needs a facelift. Breakfast was good. Price was a bit high. Nice beds.

Surprisingly nice little place for sn overnighter

Considering it's location, this hotel definitely surprised me with it's comfort and amenities. Parking was free and plenty of it, check in/out was simple and the room itself was huge! Basic, no-frills, and a bit dated but a great hotel for a stop before catching the ferry. Unfortunately our little fridge didnt work so we couldn't chill our drinks but the food at the restaurant for dinner was nice and the buffet breakfast was also satisfactory. Overall, I would certainly recommend for a short stay.

If you're going for the beaches, this hotel is fine. Don't expect to walk out the door to it. If you're looking for a white sandy beach to swim and play, the closet is Grüner Brink. You will need to drive here and it is a beautiful, peaceful beach. The 2 beaches advertised near the hotel are not made for typical fun. One is completely made of rocks and they call it a natural beach. The other is a very small area next to a camp ground. Both you can walk to from the hotel.

The hotel is older, but great price for families. The restaurant food is bland, yet there are not many choices nearby. Breakfast is a small typical EU buffet setup. Be prepared for them to run out of food and need to watch when they bring out more because everyone is waiting.

Overall this little gem, is nice. Especially during COVID.

A great place lost in time!

This place is a bit of hidden gem. From the outside it looks like a post war abandoned relic. Inside you go back in time to the 70/80’s. With this said, we were pleasantly surprised the farther we came in after signing the guest book (old school) how clean and well preserved it was. Even though it is quite outdated nothing looked worn out or trashed in this building. The room was very clean. As for the same in the dinning area, and the food was very good. The darling older couple that run this place were adorable, sweet, very kind and very customer service orientated. I am a bit of a spoiled brat and like to stay in, what I consider, nice places. This place was booked only because we were extremely tired and needed to stop. The fact that it is right at the ferry docks (a 2 minute drive) was the closing deal. When approaching I thought I really messed up on this one. But after my stay, The place is quirky, and grows on you and I would definitely stay again.

The only thing I really disliked were the pillows. Typically German thin waffers. Was more like trying to squish a small duvet up under your head. But this is what I guess a typical German type of pillow is and no fault of just this place. So a suggestion is to ask for a second one if pillows are of importance to you.

Very close to the ferry port, but stuck in time.

Staff were all pleasant and polite, but the decor, facilities, and old fashioned etiquette were like it was hanging on a bygone era. If it was 35%cheaper I would recommend it purely on prox. to the port. Food was good.

Comfortable and pleasant stay

The hotel serves its purpose as a pit stop for those taking the ferry to and from Denmark/Germany. The owners of the hotel are delightful and very welcoming.
The hotel is a little dated, and could do with a sprucing up! The room was spacious and comfortable. For the price one cannot complain. A continental breakfast is also included in the price. If required I would stay here again.

Useful stopover

Quite a busy hotel next to the Ferry terminal for ferries to Denmark. There is nothing else in Puttgarten. Room good perhaps newly re-furbished and staff friendly. We used it while setting up our boat in Burg and every other hotel in Burg was full because of the bank holiday. Breakfast good and dinner was ok. All a bit of a sixties or seventies time warp.

Bound for Denmark

Stayed for a night before going to Copenhagen in Denmark. Old Hotel nice place to relax and drink beer. a bit warm on the rooms that has the view of the farm lands. So better book for the ocean view with much cooler rooms. you have to pay 20 euros more which is better than not to get a comfortable sleep because of heat. ( there is no air condition on the hotel) wifi access for free only at the reception and restaurant on the 2nd floor. Must drive to tourist attractions and city center in Fehmar 5-10 mins drive. very nice small town.

Herrlich altmodisches Hotel

Das Personal war kompetent, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das sehr geräumige Zimmer war ruhig, im Stil vergangener Zeiten eingerichtet und hatte eine schöne Fensterfront mit herrlichem Ausblick. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen, der Frühstücksraum war wunderschön mit Panoramablick rundherum. Eine klare Empfehlung.

Kanske passande för snabbstopp barnfamilj.

Stannade en natt innan vi skulle fortsätta till Sverige. Vi (2 personer) bokade ett rum för 3 personer då det inte fanns dubbelrum kvar.

Fick ett rum med 3 uppbäddade sängar, en bäddad spjälsäng samt en extra bäddsoffa. Kollade upp att det inte blivit fel - kändes som rummet borde varit för någon annan.

Hotellet skulle behöva en uppfräschning- toan gick inte att spola ordentligt. Fanns en TV - men ingen anslutning till kanaler. En sänglampa var trasig.

Wir nutzten die Unterkunft als Zwischenstop auf einer Reise. Zu diesem Zweck hat das Hotel sehr gut gepasst. Preis-Leistung in Ordnung.
Die meisten Gäste haben es wohl auch so gemacht. Die Nähe zum Fährhafen ist perfekt.
Für einen längeren Aufenthalt weniger empfehlenswert.

Ett bra ställe att spendera en natt om man är på genomresa. Vi hade ett större familjerum. Det är lite äldre skick på möbler men det är rent. WiFi funkade bra och TVn var ny.

Das Hotel ist ein altes Hotel. Es fehlt an Renovierung.

Paikka oli siisti. Mutta kaapit, hissi, huone olivat tunkkaisia. Huoneessa ei ilmastointia ja saapuessamme huoneessa oli +36 C astetta.
Roskakorissa huoneessamme omi jonkun muun roskia, eli roskista ei oltu tyhjennetty edellisten vieraiden jäljiltä.
Hotelli mainostaa baaria ja ravintolaa, mutta kaikki olivat suljettu. Baari oli niin suljettu että siellänoli vain pesuaineita ja polkupyöriä. Ravintolaakaan ei ollut. Aamiainen tarjoiltiin kyllä aamiaishuoneessa.
Nälkäisinä kävelimme illalla satamaan ja ostimme kuohuviiniä, jonka voimalla selviydyimme aamuun asti. Aamupala oli hyvä. Jota ihmetten vieläkin.

Varierande standard.

Bott på hotellet ett antal gånger under året och har upplevt att standarden på rum och städning varierar mycket. Från helt ok för priset till på gränsen för ofräscht.
Återkommer ändå eftersom läget nära färjan är perfekt för oss.

Slitet hotell, städningen inget vidare, låg godispapper på golvet när jag kom.
Maten i restaurangen var totalt smaklös. Personalen var trevligt och incheckning och utcheckning var väldigt smidig.

Ett hotell med utmärkt läge, nära till båten.Rummet var rejält tilltaget och sängarna helt ok att sova i. Rent och snyggt. Vi åt middag på hotellets restaurang, bra mat och i övrigt god service. En modernisering av hotellet skulle inte skada.

Leider steht in die Jahre gekommen und sehr unsauber. Man darf zwar einen Hund mitbringen, dieser darf aber nirgendwo hin. Ob Frühstück, Bar oder Restaurant. Er ist überall verboten, obwohl wir alleine waren.

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und leider auch ziemlich unsauber. Gerade das Bad war ein absolutes NoGo.
Was uns auch nicht gefallen hat, dass man zwar mit Hund anreisen kann, der aber nirgendwo mit hin darf. Ob Frühstück, Bar oder Restaurant. Nirgends durfte er mit, obwohl wir alleine waren.

Schade, denn die Lage ist wirklich toll und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Tja. Door 4 uur stil te moeten staan op de A1 bij Hamburg door een ongeluk, kwamen wij pas 21 uur aan bij het hotel. Maar er zou iemand zijn tot 23 uur stond er, anders kon je bellen. Maar niemand nam op. Op de parkeerplaats voor het hotel was geen auto te bekennen. Ervoor stond een bord dat parkeren verboden was. Toch maar gedaan, want waar anders? Bij de receptie niemand te bekennen. Envelop met mijn verbasterde achternaam er op geschreven. Er in de sleutel van de kamer. In de lift stonden een paar gympen. In de kledingkast op de kamer hingen 2 overhemden en er lag een koffer (maar niet in gekeken).
2 x 1-persoonsbedden maar slechts 1 dekbed en maar 1 kussen. We waren met zijn tweeën (moeder en dochter). Bij de receptie was er dus niemand en de telefoon werd niet opgenomen. Gelukkig een fleecedeken bij me en mijn eigen kussen... minibar in kamer was leeg. Restaurant en bar zijn blijkbaar voorlopig gesloten. Helaas geen waterkoker of koffiemogelijkheid oid. Gelukkig deed de kraan het....
Aanwezig een tv, föhn en strijkijzer, maar niet geprobeerd. Douche en badschuim, maar niet geprobeerd. Gratis WiFi bij het hotel, maar alleen bij de receptie, niet op de kamer. Bed lag wel prima voor 1 nachtje. Verder rook het overal erg muf. Uitchechen digitaal, ook . 's Morgens
weer geen receptie. We zijn maar zo snel mogelijk richting de haven gegaan, naar de boot om daar ergens te ontbijten en koffie te drinken. Wel vlakbij, pluspunt.

Ett hotel vid färjeterminalen för passetande

Vi bokade hotellet för att bilderna såg fina ut och att det låga nära färjeterminalen. Vi lade till en slant för ”havsutsikt”….
Hotellet gör sitt jobb som ”övernattning”… vi var väldigt besvikna på att ingenting var öppet en fredag kväll kl 20.30???
Hade gärna ätit eller köpt något att dricka!
Bilderna på rummet överensstämmer INTE verkligheten!!
Sängarna är ok att sova i men resten av inredningen är riktigt gammal och sliten!! Badrummet under all kritik!!! Sprickor, gammal dusch och en vattenblandare som sprutar åt alla håll….
Fanns ingen frukost heller så det känns som hotellet har ett enda syfte, att husera passerande med en säng.
Personalen i receptionen var helt ok

Zeitreise in die 70er inklusive.

Dieses Hotel erlebt man in seinem (vermutlich) originalen Zustand, jedoch halt um Jahrzehnte abgewohnt, ohne sichtbare Renovierungsarbeiten. Es ist perfekt für eine Nacht als Zwischenstopp geeignet, wenn man nicht duschen möchte. Mit dem abgwohnten Charme kann ich leben, das Bad geht garnicht, inklusive Silberfischchen.
Frühstück war dagegen sehr ordentlich und das Personal gleicht einiges wieder aus, durch Freundlichkeit und Service.
