Amazing location
The setting was spectacular, we had good weather and an excellent clear view of the surrounding mountains from the terrace and our balcony. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and kind and the breakfast spread was on a par with other paradors we had visited. Yes the floors are creaky and plumbing is ancient but we loved being there and the Parador is due to close shortly for major renovation.

No AC, the room was VERY hot and stuffy. Only option was to sleep with balcony doors open and having flies in the room.

Stunning location in the low mountains. Well maintained premises and very helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

This out of the way Parador is perfect if you want a quiet stay with stunning views. It's an older property and some of the fixtures/fittings in the bathroom are tired but on the plus side - shower pressure was good and everything was very clean and we had a great nights sleep. The resturant served tasty local food - very nicely prepared and presented. The staff were attentive and friendly - we would visit again if in the area.

Great location with views to the mountains and reservoir Embalse de Cervera in valley down below. Hotel grounds wooded with marked paths, also hiking trails in the area. As with many Paradors, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms well equipped although dated. Nice decor in the reception area. Car park was reasonable size. Good choices for breakfast.

Beautiful location, it was very hot when we arrived no air conditioning was a big negative. Pre checking did not work, so checkin time was longer than expected. Value for money this Parador is the worse one we have stayed at. Last time we stayed it was alot lower cost and €10 to upgrade to a lake view room, this time it was €25 which was unacceptable after such an expensive room rate to start.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. Stayed last year for one night and went back for 3 nights.
We were impressed with the service and food.
One downside was the debris of artificial flowers on the rear lawn facing the reservoir. Probably left from a wedding. We were concerned they could be consumed by wild animals which are prevalent in the area.

Excellent Parador. Stunning location. Only small gripe was a broken safe that couldn’t be fixed.

Fantastic location, a few disappointing things. Extra charge to have a bottle of wine on the terrace (only there 5mins before going to dinner), maybe this should be highlighted as we would not have gone outside for such a short time. Due to eating late we did not want a full breakfast, but there was no option to buy coffee and a few pastries like at the previous Paradors.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic views of lake and mountains. 2 kn out of the village which is a lovely old village to look around. We went for the lake view and it us well worth it. The sky was blue so it nade it even better .

Stunning remote location with great service
Slightly dated hotel and furnishings, rather hard bed and no air conditioning on the first night of our stay in August made it hard to sleep. Creaky floorboards and rattly windows did not help and the bathroom needed modernisation. However the location and the service make up for all of this. Pay the small amount extra for a lake balcony view, it is stunning. Service in reception, bar and restaurant were all excellent (breakfast was excellent, dinner so-so but it was a drive to any alternative so we didn't bother).
There is a lovely outdoor seating area, a great place to watch the stunning sunsets with a cocktail or gin and tonic.

Modern chalet-type hotel in spectacular location
Very impressed with location. Reception staff v helpful. Restaurant felt very old-fashioned with men doing the real waitering and women collecting dishes etc although all were nice but it just felt very formal and stuffy. Lovey bean and prawn soup but steaks were severely under-cooked.

GREAT LOCATION BUT POORLY INSULATED ROOMS
This Parador is in a great location, although the lake is a little further away than the picture suggests... It's an old building, hence the name parador, and that comes with a couple of flaws. The rooms are spacious, but there is no air conditioning and then the biggest \"problem\" when you are not located on the top floor, you can hear everything, and I mean everything that the people above you are doing. The floorboards are so squicky and the rooms are so badly insulated that if you have early risers above you, you will have to rise and shine yourself early as well...

Lovely Parador in a beautiful setting
Friendly reception staff and a massive room decorated in typical Spanish 'Parador' style. We booked a superior room with lake view and the view from the room and balcony was stunning. We ate in the town of Cervera de Pisuerga which is a lovely place and worth a visit. We would definitely go back and spend some time walking in the area. 90 minutes drive from Santander.

We only stayed for one night en-route from Santander but hope to visit again for at least 2 nights to explore the fantastic surroundings. Staff were very helpful and the food lovely.

GIGANTIC ROOMS
We booked a standard room and when checking in we asked if it had views over the lake. The receptionist said unfortunately standard rooms are on the front of the hotel but he gave us a corner room so we also had a side view which was lovely. The room was gigantic with a lovely big bathroom and a small balcony. The terrace has lovely views over the back of the hotel which is where the lake is. We did not eat here so cannot rate the restaurant. The staff where pleasant & helpfull. There was a supermarket back in town about 3km away. Overall a lovely stay.

Very nice hotel in a more remote part of Spain. The views from the hotel terrace were wonderful as was the coffee. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. One tip, if you can find parking in the open air spaces do so, these are free. Versus parking in the below ground parking garage which cost an additional 5 Euros a day.
