The Hmong dance show was very impressive. I don't think you can experience the culture of another country in such a natural setting anywhere else. I'm sure you'll be able to let go of the things that are overflowing in the city, immerse yourself in simple thoughts, and find a new you.

This was such a unique stay on our trip to Thailand. The trip down the River Kwai to get to the floatel was peaceful, and turning the river bend to see the floating rafts was a beautiful view. Being amongst nature with wonderful local staff and delicious, simple food combined with the total switch off from the digital world created a recuperative environment for us to relax and recharge.

The local activities were also unique to the area and off the beaten track from what we were used to.

We would happily stay here again!

The accommodation is very dark even during the day. It’s very basic and tired. Lots of the wood needs replacing.
Doesn’t look the photos on the website.
Food was very poor
Eco due to no electricity but all the shampoo, shower gel etc all go straight into the river?
Dodgy floor boards in toilet which smelled of pee when wet.
Only 2 sun beds and 2 hammocks per 4 rooms with a potential capacity of 12 people
We cut our stay short, not our really our cup of tea

Amazing and beautiful 2 night stay

We had such an amazing 2 night stay at the Jungle rafts. In such an idyllic location on the river kwai which was so picturesque. Was easy to find using a grab from Bangkok then the boat from the pier. We loved feeding the elephant early in the morning. Food provided for breakfast and dinner was delicious authentic thai food and there was plenty. We had a thai sim and there is signal and 5G but also wifi in the breakfast area if needed. We did a boat tour to the cave and Sai Yok waterfalls, which was great day - we joined with another couple to make this cheaper which worked out well! The staff are all friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a thai massage, mon dancing and a hike to the local mon village. We had no neighbours during our stay so had the whole dock to ourselves with 2 sunbeds, hammock and a table. The only down side was the heat on the first night, it was around 38 degrees in the day and was extremely hot in the bungalows obviously no electricity for fans or AC but it we unbearable we could not sleep, much better on the 2nd night after some rain in the evening to cool down the bungalow - may be worth staying in the cooler months. Also the bungalows are very dark even during the day with just one small battery powered lamp and torch on keys for light, was very difficult to see but manageable. Overall such an amazing experience in Thailand, something a bit different than the usual touristy spots to relax and soak up the beautiful country!

Great for rustic getaway with kids

Your opinion on this place has a LOT to do with your expectations. There are several of these along the river that are more exotic and romantic (more privacy), but this was still a great 1 night experience with our family. It is extremely rustic with thin walls and no electricity. Hard to sleep if you have noisy neighbors. BUT, the easy hike to the neighboring Mon village and seeing the local elephant gives this location an added bonus if you have kids. Food is good and location is clean. Personally, if it was my wife and I, I would have chosen a different location (like Float House), but I would choose this one again if it was with our kids. Also, 1 night was perfect. Not enough to do for multiple nights. Lastly...make sure to jump in the river...best part!!

No internet no phone only the current of the River

Its a relaxing experience 3 days without telephone and internet at a house boat in the River Kwai. 8 pm feels like midnight here.
If you leave and you want a taxi or transport at the pier it will take time. Booking transport at The River Kwai Jungle Rafts is extremely expensive. They abuse their monopoly. So try your luck at the pier.

Highly recommend - what a great adventure!

We had a wonderful time here and were sad to leave when the trip was over! We spent the days exploring the nature trails and swimming in the river and the evenings looking at the stars. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating of our dietary restrictions. Many thanks to Sam and the rest of the team for making it an unforgettable stay!

This place was a little paradise in the middle of the jungle. It was beautiful to get your breakfast and dinner in the middle of nature’s beauty and also a lot of fun! It is very much like glamping (camping with comforts), therefore, if you’re looking for a place with all the comforts of home and of a city, you will not find it here. If you’re looking for adventure and do not mind unplugging (no WiFi, no electricity, and very little reception). Also come here if you want to take it slow and if you have the time because you do need to wait and take the boats out back to the port to reach the city. The front desk helped us with all of our concerns, food was delicious and staff are friendly and always willing to help. The Mon village is also nearby and they allow you to go to their sister hotel to arrange canoeing, massages, biking, and for a brief walk to the Lawa cave (bring mosquito repellent).

Two nights at River Kwai Jungle Rafts

Our family of 4 (2adults, 2 children 9&12) boarded a boat at Phutakien Pier for the hotel. Checkin was brief but information in folders and boards around reception are readily visible for tours and transfers. We booked two rooms as max is 3 per room.

Our rooms were clean with basic amenities. No tissues to be flushed in the toilet! Cold showers! No electricity so bring a fully charged power bank for your gadgets. Poor/ no internet reception. Pack a powerful torch or headlamp as it gets dark after 4-5pm making seeing things hard. Unpack essential before then.

We originally planned to do a day trip to Erawan Falls but found the location to navigate ourselves cumbersome and the tours expensive. Organize beforehand. We were however glad to relax by the river. The river jumps down stream were a highlight even in the rain! The stroll around the village was short. Be care of slip hazard with wet weather when wandering around the bush areas and spray insect repellent.

Payment is cash only directly to the activity providers even though it said MasterCard was available. I tried the 1hr Thai full body massage for 400baht. I did not enjoy it and found lying on the floor mat uncomfortable. The Mon cultural show was 300baht. We had an elephant visit around 7.30am each morning too. Overall a memorable trip!

I wasn't aware that this accommodation don't come with power supply (electricity). Maybe is my fault for not looking into the fine print in the confirmation mail.

The other thing that v disappointed is the SAFETY aspect when come to river jumping/swimming. Was told that the river current may be strong, so swimmer just need to make sure you can managed to get up back to the hotel raft by themselves and not drift pass the last unit. Otherwise you may end up far down the river with no help - that is very bad. When I was in Wangnokkeow (similar river raft resort), they have a raft that stay at a distance of the river away from the hotel to wait for all swimmer to get back to the raft and send all back to the hotel. That is what I called - THEY CARE !!!

Unforgettable experience on River Kwai

Staying at this hotel is a great experience. Absolutely stunning location, very comfortable hotel and very unordinary but unforgettable experience staying on the river in a beautiful environment, no lights apart from the kerosene lamps, no electricity, very tasty dinner, feeding local elephant in the morning, highly recommend taking a stroll around the local village MIN which is just a short walk. The only negative experience was that the hotel charged 1000 Baht (about $33) extra for the late boat transfer as I arrived after 6:00 pm. This was not described anywhere and there was not warning, so a short 15 minute boat ride for $30 was quite a shock. I argued with the hotel but to no avail. Still the hotel is a must on River Kwai, highly recommend the whole experience and will come back again.

Fun experience

We had theee nights on the Jungle Rafts. Loved jumping in and floating down the river every day.
Did some fun tours, loved the style of the hotel, comfortable beds and hammocks. It was nice not having electricity and the river breeze kept it from getting too hot. As lovely as it was, I found it incredibly expensive compared to other places in Thailand.

Ask yourself one question before you come here: Would I enjoy an outdoor experience like camping? If the answer is yes, you will like it here. In the middle of nowhere on the river, removed from civilization, it is hot during the day and gets cold at night. It's actually much more comfortable than camping because you have a nice bed, bathroom, and restaurant. I'd recommend bringing your own flashlights (the room is very dark), batteries for electronics you use (without internet, obviously, 3G signal is also very poor at the hotel), and ice (to keep stuff cold). If you can't do without the electricity, definitely still stay at their sister property, Float House. You won't regret it.
A couple small complaints I've seen in other reviews: It's true the staff isn't super-friendly, rooms are small, and the bathroom in our room smelled bad. Also be aware you have to arrive at Phutakien Pier before 6PM every day to catch the last boat.
Complaints from other reviews I found not be true: Very few boats passed by our room because this is the farthest river hotel from the pier, and we were in the last section of the hotel. It was very peaceful.

NO ELECTRICITY

Very disappointed in this place, we arrived only to be informed that there was no electricity. Which meant that there was no Air Conditioning, no Fans and most importantly no Hot Shower, as we had both only just recovered from head colds the last thing we wanted were cold showers. I was in total shock as we had no prior warning of these conditions. I went back and had a closer look at the page that l made the booking on and sure they did not claim that they had all the thing l am saying they did not have.
If they had stated in bold print that they had NO ELECTRICITY we would have known the true situation and could have decided differently.
We had booked and paid for 3 nights. Only stayed 12 hours, couldn’t get out of there quick enough.
We spoke to quite a few other guests and they all told us they were unaware that there was no electricity till they arrived

It was great to be so far away from civilization but all the staff were really unfriendly (very different from every other experience we've had in Thailand! We had to change rooms when we arrived as the bed was covered in something (bug eggs?) and there wasn't even an apology. We enjoyed our stay but didn't think it was good value for money

Great raft hotel on a nice river.

The 20 minute boat ride is a great way to start the stay, the boat only access reinforces the hotel is made of rafts.
The plants along the front and through the rafts are a nice touch, really help the ambience.
The lady on reception was very good, helpful and has good English.
Rest of the staff did their jobs, slowly.
We spent 1 day and enjoyed the floating down the river.
Good experience.

A Peaceful and Romantic Getaway

I loved the jungle rafts. It was a peaceful escape from the modern world. The lanterns at night were beautiful. The food was delicious. The manager made sure all of our needs were met. The Mon village was nice to walk through and the elephants came down to the floatel for breakfast. The fish in the water enjoyed being fed watermelon - yes, watermelon; who knew? I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent here.

Roughing It On The River

From the time of our first arrival to our departure the Staff were absolutely useless. Very few spoke any English and the ones that did spoke little. Drinking started before lunch and bottles of spirits were consumed. Some serious training is required. The rooms are a lot smaller than the quoted 28 square metres - the common area veranda must be included. The shower is over the toilet pedestal. There is no power on the rafts - so no lights or fans. Kero lanterns are used for night time. The price of food and drinks is exorbitant - even for its remote location. Food menu is fixed and limited. Whilst full and half board is offered, there is no alternative. Travellers are suggested to take their own food and drink. There are better places for travellers to go to get the Jungle Raft experience.

Das Ressourt ist ein Erlebnis, aber die Preise vor Ort sind deutlich zu teuer und entsprechen nicht dem Umfeld der 2 wöchigen Thailandreise die wir hatten. z.B. kostete eine Kanutour von ca. 30 Minuten 50 EUR pro Person, das ist ca. das 3-4 Fache von dem was wir anderswo gezahlt hatten.

Les chambres sont extrêmement sombres. Même en journée il vous faudra une lampe pour vous diriger.
Les matelas très durs, pas d'eau chaude.
Les activités proposées sont toutes payantes et chères (kayak 1500, spectacle 160), rien n'est inclus (sauf baignade).
Chaque \"radeau\" comporte 4 chambres soit potentiellement 12 personnes : vous devrez vous partager 2 hamacs et 2 transats.
Pas de serviette pour se baigner.
Aucune intimité.
Nourriture quelquonque et servie froide.
Service de transport à des prix exorbitants vous rendant prisonnier de l'hôtel : vous ne pouvez utiliser la navette gratuite que lors du check in / out. Sinon il faut payer 1000 par trajet.
Vous serez aussi pris en hold up par les taxis (pas de grab). 400 de la gare au ponton et pas certain d'avoir un taxis dans l'autre sens (si oui sûrement plus cher).
Un éléphant est visible au petit déjeuner. Vous le retrouverez dans le village Mon, attaché avec une chaîne !
Le personnel n'est pas désagréable mais pas attentionné, vous n'aurez certainement pas un bonjour durant le séjour.
A tarif équivalent vous trouverez mieux.
A prestation équivalente vous trouverez moins cher.
Les avis booking sont plus parlants de la réalité.
Notre pire séjour en Thaïlande.

幻想的なランプの明かりだけの生活が味わえます。

ジャングルラフトだけに、森の中に住むような部屋に電気がないホテルです。
部屋の中には携帯用ランプ（明かりは小さい）とカギにランプが付いています。
不便と感じたのは、湯が出ない、ドライヤーが使えない、携帯が充電できないこと。
バッテリーチャージを多めに持っていく事をお勧めします。
いざとなれば携帯の懐中電灯で明るくできます。
しかしランプの生活は想像以上に良く、目前の川、月を見ながら外で少し晩酌をしていましたが、日常から離れてこの上なく落ち着きました。
食事もその日の夜と次の日の朝に食べましたがおいしかったです。
電気が無い生活、一度はどうぞ！

Super leuk hotel. Prachtig gelegen en heel sfeervol met alle planten en bloemen. Diner erg goed ,van alles wat en is de schaal leeg dan wordt het, als je wilt,weer aangevuld. Ontbijt is redelijk. Gebakken ei en toast. De kamer is schoon,badkamer erg eenvoudig met gevaarlijk afstapje in t donker. Bedden prima.Het Mondorpje is leuk om even door te lopen. Stil en rustig met de zielige olifant in zn uppie aan de korte ketting.
Wij vonden 1 nacht voldoende en erg leuk om meegemaakt te hebben!!
