Beautiful location! Exceptional staff!

Our cabin was very nice. No a/c, but the two fans saved us.

There was no hair dryer in the cabin, but they had them available for the asking.

There was no fridge in the cabin, but they were happy to provide ice.

I think we would’ve found it easier to climb into bed if the mosquito netting opening was at the side of the bed instead of the foot.

They do not accept credit cards, but we were able to book our excursion online.

The food was delicious and the presentation delightful.

The free shuttle to the old town was an added bonus!

Did I mention the amazing staff!?!

Remote location and very rustic with no air conditioner. Great location by the river and surrounded by dense foliage. It was very hot in day, unfortunately we couldn’t survive the heat for more than 2 days!

We stayed here for two nights before we went to Khao Suk National Park. The cottages were very cute, a little rustic. The mosquito netting around the bed made me sleep soundly knowing I was safe from the insects and geckos that may have made it in our room. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. They arranged a cooking class for us and a canoe trip and they were both great. If you are looking for a jungle retreat this is your place.

We loved the Riverside Cottages proximity to Khao Sok National Park. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the free shuttle to the local town, the farm to table cooking class and the canoe ride down the river. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We used this as a stopover on our way to the park and it was wonderful. We even saw monkeys in the trees while we ate our meals.

I loved the owner and the two dogs (although they barked at me every time i left or arrived on the property 😂).

The shower had hot water and there was a bike i could borrow for free.

The room itself had a broken toilet seat due to the previous savage guest, but the owner was repairing it when I left.

He also brought me to the pier the day of the checkout -free of charge.

I would recommend this place for sure :)

Fantastic place, surrounded by lush jungle, with beautiful wooden cottages, and a terraced restaurant with great food and a soul-healing view over a river. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended.

Suppose you love nature and want to be away from civilization; there is no communication with the outside world. It's an excellent place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

It was awesome listening to the natural jungle symphony, the room was perfect for the location, the only down was that our river view room that was advertised had the river right upfront- it turned out the one advertised as a “river room cottage” was actually the family deluxe river view cottage.

No view of river from riverside cottages (meadow needs mowing in selected places. Cottage basic no screens, monkeys get through windows if left open, fly spray needed in room due to lots mosquitoes and no screens (coils provided but they only deter) no kettle or fridge, but was able to bring back mug hot water to room. Good place for younger travellers.

It was a cool experience but your rooms literally feel like you are apart of the wild life. Any bug or creature goes. You do have a big net but the sounds of the jungle are as if the bird is beside your head. Overall a very unique experience but only for individual okay with extensive wild life.

No seprate shower cubicle so bathroom always had water on floor this was not good!! The water from the shower was a trickle so it took ages to have a shower.

Lovely place, beware of tour operator

Nice place, beautiful suroundings, average food but attentive staff. We undertook their 'Grand Jungle' package and enjoyed most of the activities other than the over night lake trip as unfortunately there were not enough people for Riverside Cottages to run the trip themselves (they state they need a minimum of 8 for this) which meant we were booked on a joint tour with another organisation. There were atleast 45 people on this trip which meant it was very unpersonal, things were rushed, one English speaking guide to manage the whole group. Such a shame as this was meant to be one of the highlights of our stay in Kho Sok.

Great stay in the jungle!

We thought everything about this place was awesome. Great staff and cool spot. I left a 5 for cleanliness with the context that we were in the jungle. The bed was clean, and the room was really nice, but you're in a jungle, you're bound to have some critters visiting! Nice mosiquito net above bed. Restaurant was good too. I thought the food was a little expensive for Thailand, but after going into town it was quite compatible to the rest of Khao Sok. Highly recommend!

Good resort in the jungle

This resort was just what we booked although I wasn't prepared for critters in our room. After the first night I was used to it. The resort staff are wonderful, the food was good, don't miss the lake tour.

Great place to stay at in the jungle...with all that a jungle brings about..such as insects and even a rat in the room. But that s all to be expected in such an area. Restaurant on site offered very good food at decent prices. The owner was very helpful in helpong is choosing the excursions. Loved the elephant retreat one.

We booked Riverside online, and received an email within a few hours, which was useful because I needed more information about how to get to the accommodation, which they provided me with quickly. We got a public minivan from Krabi which dropped us off on the main road. As per the instructions, I wandered to the corner shop, and the owner gave me a lift down the road to the Cottage.
The staff was amazing, and helpfully organised an overnight stay on Cheow Lan lake for us as well as other activities. The food was amazing - had the best fried fish we tasted in Thailand.
The ambience was relaxed and the accommodation felt safe

We enjoyed our stay here, it was very good for the price. The view was wonderful, and the room stayed fairly cool despite warm weather. (Choose the riverside room!) It is very much located IN the rain forest, so if that is your goal, you will love this place. Decent prices on food, and very helpful staff for booking tours/transportation.

Khao Sok Riverside Cottages er på mange måder et skønt og autentisk sted. Hytterne er fine, omend lidt primitive. Man bader i koldt vand og hytterne er ikke isolerede, hverken for lyd eller insekter. Restauranten har et overraskende godt udvalg og maden er fin. Serveringspersonalet er ikke ret smilende og imødekommende. Min største anke mod stedet hænger sammen med modtagelsen, hvor de bevidst forsøgte at snyde os for den familiehytte ved floden, som vi havde bestilt. Da jeg påpegede fejlen, forsøgte de at bilde mig ind, at jeg havde fået en familiehytte ved floden, hvilket bestemt ikke var tilfældet. Til sidst erkendte de fejlen og fortalte, at der ikke var flere ledige familiehytte. Det var skuffende at opleve, at de ikke havde styr på det, og at de forsøgte at nare mig i stedet for at indrømme fejlen.

it was like you stay in the jungle , There was no air conditioning here but even thoung in summer , the weather here was not too hot and with the fans they give us it’s ok but sometime the power went out and you can feel the hot weather then. The hotel restaurant is near by us but it’s taste was not really good , the price was above normal level but I can understand because it was the price for foreigner. The location is near the national park ; you can’t find the hotel by GPS because this will lead us to the wrong place , I suggest you to find the symbol of hotel on the road ; the hotel was in the same side with national park and located at the end of the road in the lane if you come here by driving, you shouldn’t drive too fast because the hotel was next to the stream and at the end of the road ,,there was no fence or symbol or light to warn you that you might fall in to the stream

Prachtig gelegen. Je loopt over verhoogde paden richting je huisje. Niet alle riverside cottages liggen zichtbaar aan de rivier. Er is een free shuttle naar het dorp 3x per dag anders 50b per persoon. Goed ontbijt en restaurant. Via expedia kregen we voor 2 personen gratis ontbijt. ( we waren met zijn vieren) goede Wifi. Bus naar het vliegveld kan aan de receptie geboekt worden voor normale prijzen.

Die Bungalows sind mit einfach aber schön eingerichtet. Sauberkeit ist hervorragend. Es gibt keine AC, was wir nicht als Problem empfunden haben. Die Lage mitten im Dschungel ist für Stadtmenschen möglicher Weise etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wer Probleme mit Geräuschen oder Insekten hat ist hier falsch - allerdings dann generell im Kao Sok Nationalpark. Wir haben es genossen! Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Ich empfehle eine Tour zum See mit Übernachtung - ein einmaliges Erlebnis! Wir kommen gern wieder!

Hier wo das Hotel liegt gibt es nichts Anderes. Die Hotelanlage liegt ein paar Kilometer vom \"Zentrum\" entfernt. Dort gibt es Bars und Restaurants. Am Abend wird es ab ca. 22 Uhr immer schwerer um vom \"Zentrum\" zurück zum Hotel zu gelangen. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und das Frühstück gut. Die Ausflüge wo man gleich vor Ort buchen kann sind übertrieben teuer finde ich. Das Wasser wechselte im Bungalow oft zwischen klar und Braun-Gelb, eher etwas eklig. Andere Gäste hatten das Problem allerdings nicht. Ich kann das Hotel empfehlen, ist wirklich ein Abenteuer mitten im Dschungel zu nächtigen! Für die wo es wichtig ist: Es hat nur an der Reception WIFI.

Hôtel très au calme, navette gratuite pour le parc

L' hôtel est bien tenu, le staff est super serieux et accueillant. La chambre est un peu roots, elle est au milieu de la jungle, mais propre et spacieuse. Nous avions une chambre standard vue sur le jardin. Une solide moustiquaire vous protègera efficacement des intrus de la nuit, elle est évidemment fournie. Le resto est bien tenu, très bon, et le serveur principal est tout à fait pro. Un service de navette gratuit vous est proposé, le parc est à environ 2 km, et on vient vous chercher au stop des minivans à l'arrivée. Des activités vous seront proposées, malheureusement, comme partout à Kao sok elles sont très chères.
Nous avons passé un très bon moment ds cet hôtel.

Als je tevens een overnight lake trip boekt, neem oude kleren en schoenen mee! want deze kan je daarna weer gooien. de trip is het meer dan waard!!!
