dont need sleep?

i dont normally leave reviews but i will for this one, yelling, drinking, fighting, screaming, swearing all night long from 9am till 2am, no respect for people wanting to sleep, bar and pokies apparently closed at 1-2 then the chaos moves outside onto the deck and carpark, didnt feel safe at all, dont stay here until they resolve their host responsibilities (prioritizing intoxication over the hotel business)

I found the staff were very friendly and helpful the room was comfortably clean with nice bed linen and towels. Like tea/coffee facilities/TV
Bathroom was clean but the shower wasn’t working properly and there wasn’t a shower screen door to prevent the whole floor getting wet and slippery. Shame about noisy neighbour!

Reception staff were cheerful and very helpful.
Curtains in motel were a bit jaded, lounge chairs were very comfortable as was the bed and I had a good nights' sleep and the road traffic at night did not disturb me. Walk to railway station was comfortable and I came across a cafe called Blue Bird Cafe which was near a walkway across to the station. All in all a very comfortable & convenient stay for me.

First the positives. The staff in the Bar/Hotel were friendly and welcoming and a pleasure to meet. It was a bitterly cold evening when we arrived & the barkeeper kindly made me 2 cups of hot tea. The room itself was basic but clean with an extremely comfortable bed & crisp bed linen. The downsides however were that it was so cold in the room, with no heating, that you could see your breath inside & that the constant noise all night of trucks & trains passing the building made sleep impossible. It was a very long, cold 8 hours waiting for morning. Best advice i can give is don't stay here in winter & bring earplugs. But again, friendly staff, clean & basic room & convenient to the station.

Upon booking this room, I saw there was no air con. I thought we would be ok due to it being autumn.. I was wrong. It was freezing there is no heating either. The bathrooms are so old and gave me a bad feeling, so we did not shower that night as usual. The light in there also strobed like a club, it was awful. In the morning , the water did not work (2nd floor), likely due to cold (6 degrees Celsius) and lack of property maintenance/upgrades. We had a 20 month old toddler, and this place was not at all suitable for him. We got through the night, and left. The bed was clean and comfortable, but this is a contender for the worst place I've ever stayed at. They obviously have a regular clientele of shift workers which is why they survive. Upgrade your facilities.. or continue to struggle with complaints and be run out of business.

A complete embarrassment of a hotel.
Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else. The cleaners were yelling nonstop right outside my room for hours, completely ignoring a sign asking for quiet. It wasn’t a one-time thing, it went on endlessly and made it impossible to rest.
I ended up leaving early. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect for guests is unacceptable. Never again.

Bathroom was gross and the water was not draining. It was filthy. The noise was unforgivable. People were at the balcony well over 2:30am with no consideration for patrons that needed to rest and management did nothing to stop the noise. Would not recommend this place.

This is the worst place i have ever stayed in my life.
The room is too old they didn’t even clean the bed or the dustbins. The mattress was smelling strange and they have some weird dots on it. I booked the room for 1 night hoping i will have good rest but i have to leave the property within 1 hour. They don’t have private washrooms, it’s kind of a shared space even that was not cleaned as well. The worst part about this hotel is they have electric kettle for boiling water for coffee or tea. So, i thought let’s drink the coffee but i find out the cattle was not cleaned at all from inside and the milk which i got for the coffee is also used by someone else who stayed before me.
Overall, if you want to get the bad experience then go to this hotel motel otherwise it’s better to go to some other place.
But the village is beautiful and safe.

I'll start with the positive, the bedding was clean and table had been wiped.
The negatives: Firstly, the room had a stale air smell when we walked in. It didn't have ventilation and the window had been left shut. Secondly, after using the sink in our room for the next few hours it would gargle very loudly and release a smell of damp drain, so we had to sleep with the window open just for air quality. Thirdly, the women's toilet did not lock despite being a shared block. Fourth, one of the men's shower was out of order and for the duration of our stay there was no soap in the men's bathroom. Fifth, there was no TV remote (and the TV was tiny but that doesn't really matter). Sixth, the bathrooms in general felt unclean and the rooms felt rundown.

Not real critiques but things to note:
If you stay on a Saturday there will be loud live music.
TV was tiny.
We stayed in shared bathrooms room. The other rooms could have been more recently renovated but due to previous reviews we chose the shared bathroom room.

The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. The comfortable bed ensured a restful night’s sleep, and the amenities, including a mini-fridge and coffee maker, added to the convenience of my stay.

The location is perfect—just a short drive to local attractions, making it easy to explore the area. I also enjoyed the on-site facilities, which provided a lovely way to unwind after a busy day.

I highly recommend Lithgow Motel to anyone visiting the area. I can’t wait to return!

Staff were not very hospitable.
The TV remote battery was flat so we requested a new one, they gave us a 2nd flat battery.
The wifi was free. But also an insecure connection without a password. It also would not connect to the TV so you could only watch local free to air stations with very bad reception.
No microwave
Only lock on the door was a simple pivacy lock with a key.
Windows were locked shut, except the bathroom.
Comfy beds and quality linen and towels.

it is old fashion hotel but room 19 has been painted - new light furnishing and most importantly newer modern small TV with no signal weaknesses like before / must be using new external antenna / used shared bathroom via shower with bathtub - excellent hot water - as said old but to stay over nite excellent for the money asked - did use there restaurant found meals not rubbish - really enjoyed it otherwise the hub pizza up the road great back up ( leaves pizza hut /domminos for dead ............

Little hotel room - does the job for one night . Saturday nights the noise - extreme noise , yelling , screaming , doors being slammed for about an hour from 0130 to 0230 about fifty severe slams in that time - IMPOSSIBLE to sleep through any of that .

When I booked I was under the understanding I was booking a motel room not a hotel room

When I checked in at the desk I was given key to room 21 when I opened the door I find there was a couple already in the room {lucky they were dressed}

I was given room 22 instead

I was to learn it was shared bathroom facilities something I was angry about

Friday night there was a what seemed to me to be a party loud laughing / shouting and then music coming from the room next door,

There always seemed to be doors banging just so noisy even on Thursday evening and again in the morning

So Friday night at 11.30pm after not bing able to get to sleepI packed my bags and left

Went down the road to a safe place and slept in the car

The passage carpet was thread bear in one small area, my assessment of the passage carpet and stair carpet was it had not been cleaned in a very very long time

The bed linnen was clean and no complaints there

I had a nice meal in the restraunt on Thursday evening

Please note I have never filled out one of these surveys before but I felt cheated in a way that I did not stay where i thought I would be staying. If I had known where i was going to be given a room I would not have stayed here

I have not checked to see if the information on the web site told me what I would be getting as I cant be bothered.

If I got it wrong then I appologise

This property although it was very old suited our purpose for our stay, we just needed a clean bed and somewhere to shower. Where it is situated is right on a lighted intersection and trucks and other traffic had to stop or start off again. After a few nights we became somewhat acclimatised to the noise which was very loud most mornings and evenings. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel was good value for money. Lovely dining room, didn't want to go to the bar though.

The bedding and mattresses were fantastic.

Only problem was the TV. It was intermittent at best whether it would turn on. Then it would randomly change channels and volumes. We think.....maybe all the tv's are on the same frequency or something and our neighbours tv choices came up on ours. i guess not a big deal, but a small country town at night, you'd like to watch a bit of tv.

Otherwise a solid and cost effective place to stay.
