Friendly reception staff, room was neat and tidy, bed nice and firm, only downside was the bathroom and shower, floods the floor and becomes quite slippery, extra towels would have been great.
Kwan
This was our fourth stay over the years and still happy with the clean and well maintained rooms. This trip we actually got the same room we stayed in 5 weeks ago. Only thing I would like added is facial tissues and a hair dryer.
Ken

The check in was great. The room was great - very spacious and very comfortable. There were a few items missing which management supplied immediately. There was a spa bath that we couldn’t get to work but the bathroom was extremely spacious.

Paid in full for reservation a day ago . Didn’t picked phone up for getting keys . Worst hotel system ever . Had to sleep in my car with kids
Lisa
This was a miners lodge so was full of workers. Room was clean and bed was comfy. I had to keep going to reception to ask for things that hadnt been put in the room.
Overnight one person attempted to get in to the room with their key. I'm guessing a wrong room as they went away when we shouted at them.
We then had cleaners attempting to get in several times from 7am despite check out being 10am!
Not a safe area for 2 females travelling together.

Paid for a luxury room. Room was spacious but a small bed which was uncomfortable. Room came with microwave and sink however there was detergent for sink but no sponge. A microwave yet no plates, bowls or cutlery provided, only two mugs and 1 teaspoon. After purchasing takeaway Thai, this became a problem. Luckily we had a picnic set with us. Would have expected more in this room.
Wayne
Apart from the lack of advertised inclusions, soap in shower and handbasin. No crockery or cutlery. It was mainly clean . Not recommended for more than a single night. The little Thai restaurant down the road was great.

Would stay here again

The shower needs restoration as twice now I stayed n water pools up in the shower and overflowed. The cobwebs outside the room needs attention in fact the whole room needs update.

Great sized room with good bench space. Ok mattresses but although aircon worked it went a bit funny early in the morning.

Kym
Quiet location. Room was spacious. Beds comfortable
Jenice
Vastly overpriced for what is was.
Paid $165 for a very basic room. Nothing fancy. Nothing to warrant the price. Had no idea we were on the 1st floor which made life difficult. Would not stay there again

The property was well situated park the car and walk spacious rooms

Listing on wotif showed bar, bar/lounge for food and drink and room service --- There is none. The receptionist was generally disinterested. The room was part of a pair of rooms and an adjoining door had no lock and was secured by placing a table in front of the door. The room was tired and badly in need of refreshing. The room was clean, and the bed good, but otherwise was undeserving of a high rating. Wotif should review this listing for honesty.... it is false and misleading.... that is unacceptable. If you are desperate for accommodation in Cobar - its ok, but they need to lift their game. We would recommend planning your trip to skip overnight in Cobar.
Kym
Executive suite upstairs was great.
Robert
Room size good , bed comfortable , good position. Advertised restaurant not open.

Comfortable respite!
We arrived after driving 800kms. The room was very large and comfortable. Great aircon thankfully (40 outside). A 1 minute walk onto the Main Street of town and surprisingly quiet.

It did have a kot if traffic (semi trailers) passing closeby. I enquired at re eption about further travel and road conditions and other information. The receptionist was unable to answer and dudnt offer alternatives. I ended up going to the lical.police station. The room was clean, in good condition, had a decent refrigerator and all in all was great.
Noelene
The motel is close to everything in the main street. Located on the highway in and out of town.
Although a bit pricier than we would normally pay for an overnight stay, the room was very clean, comfortable and spacious.

Out dated, mold in shower, definitely not 4 star motel , booked because had restaurant on site but closed indefinitely no mention of this on booking website, also someone was parked in our car park , overall very disappointed
Galina
A nice motel with facilities as advertised. Excellent Thai restaurant nearby
- The bath/shower is terrible - impossible to take a shower without getting the whole room wet.

We were travelling through the area and stayed just the one night. The property could do with some maintenance and upkeep.
Catherine
Like_ friendly check-in, clean up to date bathroom, clean room.
Didn't like- absolutely dreadful condition of couch, all peeling, office chair? really had seen better days , all peeling, no black covering on head and arm rest area. Was going to order eat in but due to no table and awful chairs, where would we sit. the Tour Bus revving engines at 6:30 am for 20 mins. we left at 8:00 am it was still there.
Have stayed a motel 2 prior to Covid no worries, great dining room this time very very disappointed.

Perfect position right on the edge of town and we were able to book with only short notice. Friendly and helpful staff.

Overpriced and trired
Overpriced anywhere let alone for a country town with tired and dated furniture which needed replacing.

We decided do a trip to Cobar over Easter 2021. The Motel was in a good location and very quiet. staff were helpful when we needed to use them.
Verified traveler
Way too expensive for what they offer, it is most basic of places but they charge like worldchampions
Verified traveler
Motel room good. I was annoyed that they said there was no milk to give me because of covid... yet many of the “workers” staying here got bottles of milk. I think they were just catering to them. I’ve stayed in many motels that give you a little jug of milk.
Alan
A great resting spot after a long day
Motel was at the end of a very long day on the road and very welcome. Checked in - good meal in the restaurant. Everything was fine.
Verified traveler
Very dated and haphazard furnishing.
Not a well planned room.

What you expect
What you expect from a country town motel so don't be too fussy. We dined at the restaurant but again, most things crumbed and over-cooked. It seems guests prefer deep fried food or they would surely change the menu. The fact that the fish order was mistaken for heavily battered seafood combo didn't help... what a relief to find a Japanese restaurant in Dubbo.
Good, polite service

The location is very good. It is near shops, restaurant, a servo and even churches. Good access road to our driving destination.
