We loved our stay — the hotel is beautiful, and our room was amazing. The breakfast was good and enjoyable. We did, however, miss having coffee available in the room, as it wasn’t easy to find nearby. It would also be wonderful if the hotel had a great bar on-site, so guests wouldn’t have to leave the property to enjoy excellent food and drinks.

Tropical paradise

Amazing!
This place is an idyllic paradise. Perfect place to spend a few days to wind down and forget everything. The landscaping is perfect, just the right blend between perfectly maintained and the wildenerss appearance of hundreds of coconut palmtrees by the beach...
Service is really good. Everyone there provided a great service. The food at the restaurant is also excellent, with a great selection of local dishes.

I book a one bedroom luxury bungalow with ocean view, but the reality is these are not one bedroom but just a room with a bed. , they have no AC but noisy fans and it is hot !...definitely doesn't have an ocean view and you'll face another structure, the property is falling apart with a sense of a total let go attitude by the management, the common areas are badly maintained and dirty, no fresh water in the room unless you pay, dirty pool and no service whatsoever, the only positive was the restaurant the food and service was good , beside that a real disappointment and a feeling of being ripped off.

Wonderful stay

Very nice hotel just outside of Palomino. Really peaceful and beautiful outdoor restaurant/terrace area overlooking the natural surroundings. Really cool pool down near the ocean. One note, it’s a bit tricky to swim in the ocean due to strength of current/waves (which is the same at all the other hotels I presume). Thanks for a lovely stay.

Most of the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was cosy and the shower very big.
It wasn’t possible to swim in the sea, but they have a swimming pool near to the beach.

Aite surpassed very expectation we could have ever had on their location! My husband and I spent our seventh year anniversary and had an amazing time. Their every attention to detail, their impressive upkeep of the location, their intent in submersing you in the breathtaking nature that abounds at their unique location right between the Caribbean blue ocean and the lush green Sierra Nevada, simply aweinspiring. We stayed for 4 days/3 nights at Aite Eco Hotel. Our wish - that our stay was longer! We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back again. The hotel has overall charm. The views are outstanding and beautiful. Most of the rooms are located steps from the beach. The others are up near the restaurant and one of the 2 pools and reception area. The hotel lives up to the eco designation. Water can be used but you are reminded to conserve. Same with towel usage and there are 2 sets of towels - blue for the beach and white for the room. The 2 pools are more than adequate with plenty of seating. The beach also has plenty of seating, tables, and some swings set up for use. It is tranquil and a perfect place to unwind and relax. The restaurant that is onsite has a wonderful and plentiful selection of choices and breakfast is included with most stays. The service we received was nothing short of outstanding! We were greeted warmly at each meal and with every encounter with staff. We felt most welcome. It's truly one of the nicest places we've been here in Colombia or in the U.S. A few of the staff spoke English and we got to practice our Spanish. We'll be counting the days to our return. Check out their pictures on Instagram. That's how I found this hotel and I wasn't disappointed! I don't think you will be either.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, literally a slice of paradise. The beach is a stone throw away from the rooms but you can also use the pool which is also on the beach. The staff were also really helpful and friendly. After the lost city trek, it was the prefect place to relax in peace and tranquillity. The massages were also amazing and so reasonably priced (£20pp). We arrived a day early as I made a mistake with the booking and they were very accommodating in assisting on the extra day so last minute. The only minor annoyance I had was that were was no WiFi anywhere other than the main lobby area, which isn’t a massive issue. I would highly recommend saying at the Aite hotel.

Beautiful views from cabin only a few metres from beach. Great service from staff. Restaurant a little on pricey side, but nice food. Note tuk-tuk to town is not free and will cost around 10,000COP.

We had a great time here. Property was beautiful. You feel totally alone and secluded. The other areas closer to Palomino are smaller and not as nice. Also, the food here is incredible. I will say the room wasn’t the cleanest and we had repeated issues with many bugs. They sprayed a few times. We asked the screen to be fixed a few times and it wasn’t. That’s just something to work on but overall beautiful and peaceful. The sound of nature is refreshing. Staff is attentive and some do speak some English. Another suggestion is perhaps having a bonfire or a local speak about the area/history etc. just something quiet for guests to do after dinner.

Amazing Stay. We only stayed one night and that was a huge mistake. Had I known better I would have stayed a day or two less in Cartagena and a day or two more in Palomino. Aite was amazing and my entire family did not want to leave. Incredible ocean front room with a great view, outstanding pool, great food and drinks, great service, and just an overall fantastic experience. The location is great - In the morning before the sun came up I walked to both the San Salvador and Palomino Rivers. Had a swim in the San Salvador and had time to explore the main road in town with vendors and hostels, etc. We had the main pool all to ourselves for most of the day and the crew that was trimming trees cut fresh coconuts for us, which was a nice touch. Really great hotel that I definitely will be back to!

Great staff, beautiful location, great food, rusically elegant architecture. Only one real complaint:. There is no air conditioning anywhere on the property, and it gets pretty hot in Palomino. The rooms have ceiling fans, and screened windows, and mosquito nets. There is generally a good breeze from the ocean. But, most North Americans and Europeans will find it pretty hot for sleeping comfortably.

The front desk staff arranged both excursions and transport for us. They were very helpful.

I live in Miami Beach, and I've been to some of the most elite clubs, hotels, and restaurants in the world. We booked 2 superior rooms on Orbitz at approximately $225 per room, specifying 4 adults and 2 children (ages 9 and 6). Upon arriving, the hotel staff told us they could not accomodate us without passports for our children, which we had left in our apartment in Santa Marta. No part of the check in process or disclaimers from Orbitz/the hotel said anything about this being a requirement. All of this was fine until the manager arrogantly told us that we should know better because every hotel in the world requires identification for children (not the case in the U.S.) We kindly asked if they could work with us, with us sending them photos of the passports via WhatsApp. The reply... \"it really doesn't matter since we don't allow children under the age of 8 anyway.\" I have no regrets about the situation after staying at a nearby hotel -- just as nice -- at 1/3 the price. I would advise the manager of the hotel to not judge a book by its cover... we've spent thousands of dollars staying at much nicer hotels than yours. You certainly did not extend the courtesy and kindness I've grown to love from the people of Colombia.

Lovely Experience!

This place is a gem! Great service, good food, and beautiful surroundings. Stayed in one of the rooms up near the restaurant (corner one on the end is the best!). Guests should know that there is no air conditioning, but fans and windows help with a breeze. I recommend keeping door shut to keep out critters. Shower was large and had a gorgeous view as well. Ocean can be dangerous (big waves/strong current) sometimes for swimming, but other times it was fine. Pools were lovely, beach is lovely. There are only a few beach vendors and they are not pushy at all and don't bother you. Off-the-beaten-path place for a restful visit (we were there off-season in early May so it wasn't packed with tourists and that was nice).The excursion to hike and then float down the river was incredible! Highly recommend Aite! :-)

Beautiful beachfront hotel

This hotel was intended to serve has a recovery after completing the Lost City Trek. Our room was situated right on the beach, and it’s the only hotel (that we saw) that had, not only one but two pools. The facility is immaculately kept, staff was extremely professional, the hotel itself is very quiet, not overrun with tourists. The only regret is that we didn’t book more nights.

Five days in paradise

Aite is more of a resort than a hotel. The grounds are vast and meticulously maintained. The location is a bit remote, but that might be a plus. The beach/sea front is very clean and has a drink and snack concession. Meals are taken on a deck with a breathtaking view of tropical trees, sea, flowers and birds. The food was excellent and included many regional specialties. Casual dining is very limited; lunch and dinner had to be arranged in advance. Concierges were very helpful in arranging activities in the area. There is little closer than a 30-minute walk but Aite was very helpful with transportation arrangements.

Beautiful luxury in nature!

I was totally pleased with Aite - it is a beautiful eco hotel with comfortable rooms and beds. Staff is helpful and will help you plan day trips/adventures. It's a 15 minute walk on the beach to the main hostel/bar area but nice to be just out of reach in a quiet area. The food is delicious! I wish there were wifi in the rooms but it works in the common area pretty well.

The hotel is beautifully designed and has lovely views and breezes. Our beach front cabana was comfortable, clean and cool at night. The food was tasty and the staff excellent and friendly. The hotel was really well managed. Loved the butterflies, birds and the grounds. I can't really fault it at all.

Beautiful tranquil resort

Secluded beautiful property with cabanas right on the beach best for relaxing by the pool, a chair in the sand or a hammock on your private deck. The staff was very friendly.
There are really no other restaurants nearby to eat at, and the hotel food is okay, but not noteworthy.
Overall really enjoyed a 3 night stay and relaxed in a tranquil environment.
