This is by any definition a magnificent property and it it is so beautiful and so well managed that any criticisms feel like nit picking. The staff cannot do enough, the rooms a lovely and the property itself is unforgettable. The only complaint is that the rooms are exceedingly dark and they would do well to either provide higher wattage bulbs or install reading lights on the beds.

The hotel is immaculate and the staff are great though the bar service system at the pool doesn't seem to work as advertised. Pleasant restaurant particularly for outdoor dining. Recommended.

1. Arrive in the daylight! This is Deep France, so it's a little confusing to find in the dark.
2. Stay in the Chateau part of the house. Our romantic room was BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. Our -in-laws had a family room, and it was very large!
3. You should reserve for dinner since there isn't much else if you arrive in the evening. We missed it and ended up eating pizza in a parking lot!
4. Breakfast \"buffet\" was impressive, both the beautiful DR setting and the variety of food. Worth the $.
5. We were there in March, so still early spring, but the pool area and grounds looked very inviting for warmer weather.
6. Excellent treatment at reception for both arrival and departure.
7. Room/beds/AWESOME shower!

What an incredible gem. Perfect location and the setting is just beautiful. Staff helped plan a wonderful itinerary from Beynac to Lyon. Very spacious room. So relaxing. If you saw the movie Chocolat, this is about 7 minutes from the village centre.

The chateau room that we stayed in was lovely and the view was spectacular. The property was very well maintained. The location of the hotel was perfect as it was just a short drive away from many of the most beautiful villages in the area.

We stayed in the main chateau building in a 'Luxury Double Room' which was a beautiful traditional large room and bathroom. We had the hotel breakfast as it seemed the most convenient and it was a very good selection of the usual cold and hot items. Fortunate with the weather that we could sit outside on the terrace overlooking the pool and valley in the mornings. The pool was heated and nice temperature, with plenty of sunbeds around. We used the adults only pool next to the main chateau building, but there is also the larger family pool. The Dordogne valley is a beautiful area to explore.

Beautiful chateau with nice pool and terraces. Restaurant excellent and breakfast very good. You need to be pretty fit to climb 4 flights if stairs for rooms located at the top of the chateau, especially with luggage. All staff helpful, great location for visiting nearby tourist areas and would like to return.

Gorgeous Chateau in amazing location
The staff have been very helpful and attentive. The place must have been recently renovated as everything is fresh and super clean. Can't fault this place, bathing in the pool at the end of the day is heaven. Highly recommend and especially good value.

Not worth a detour
We had a room in the annexe, which was ok but lacked the charm we hoped for in a chateau hotel. Service was generally ok. We were irritated when we asked for some small plates and knives for use in our room and were told we could have them as a special favour and that it was rude to buy food to eat for breakfast when the hotel served breakfast. If they want to make it compulsory for guests to pay for breakfast then it should be included in the room rate.

Dinner was lovely also. One small complaint was the sound tranfsfer from the room above us. We could hear walking, talking, use of the bathroom, etc. Overall though, a delight.

A friendly and charming greeting by the receptionist and a really comfortable stay. The hotel has not one but two swimming pools and an excellent restaurant. The hotel is close to some of the most picturesque of the Dordogne countryside and villages.

Excellent stay in stunning property
Beautiful buildings and grounds in a stunning location. The service was great and the bedroom was very spacious. Our room was on the second floor of the main building. We were helped with our luggage but there is no elevator. Something to consider in choosing a room if you have problems with stairs.

Friendly Chateau Hotel in Dordogne
We stayed in a beautiful hotel with a fantastic view. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, especially one lady on reception who , when we arrived a day too early, found us alternative accommodation for the night very local to the hotel. The pool was a perfect temperature in a perfect setting. Breakfast buffet was stunning served in a grand and comfortable room. Bedroom ver well equipped and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel on beautiful grounds
The rooms were comfortable, staff was friendly--felt like a 5 star hotel. It was nice to get away from the touristy area with only a 5 minute drive to Beynac castle. The price is so reasonble.

AMazing restaurant in a lovely chateau
Lovely place to stay but go for the restaurant. don't forget to reserve. we did not but as we were family with young children on bicycles they opened the restaurant a half hour early to accommodate us! Great service - chef eric jung delivered our best meal in France. Now that is saying something.

El restaurante aunque no tiene estrella Michelin podría tener una sin problema, tanto la sommelier como el chef profesionales. El único detalle es que el edificio antiguo o manoir no tiene ascensor y las habitaciones del tercer nivel no son aptas para cardíacos. Nosotros nos quedamos en la chambre 1 en la planta baja y estaba espectacular

We stayed for two days in October to celebrate my 'special' Birthday. The room was sensational with the bathroom one of the best I've experienced. The pool area was spacious and very relaxing. The staff were most helpful. Lots to see in the area. A very special stay.

Magnifique endroit, idéalement situé pour vagabonder dans la vallée de la Dordogne. A deux pas de tous. Accueil et service très Pro. Très bon petit déjeuner et belle table pour le soir. Salle de sport, Golf, deux piscines dont une sans enfants et prestations SPA.
