The hotel's environment and location exceeded our expectations， you can overlook the entire town from the hotel's garden. The rooms were clean, tidy, and fully equipped, decorated in a traditional Turkish style and very comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming; in particular, manager Berkay was extremely helpful, assisting us with parking in narrow street and even upgrading us to a larger room with a better view. The hotel also provided a delicious traditional Turkish breakfast. Highly recommended.

This was my favorite place I stayed in Türkiye! Cool, clean, beautiful room, extremely attentive staff (the manager Ismail is great) and a breakfast spread I will be thinking of for a long long time. :) It really is as lovely as the pictures. I enjoyed my time here as a solo traveler so much I'm already scheming of coming back someday with my friends.

Note that the property is on a steep hill, and while the old market is very close, you need to be in good physical condition to make the trip! There's also a lookout point a very short walk away - Hıdırlık Tepesi, that's absolutely worth a visit. You will definitely need lira in your pocket to enjoy Safranbolu to the fullest - most vendors don't accept card. Gorgeous town and very friendly people.

Beautiful room, very attentive staff, and perfect location. The view from our room was breathtaking. Thanks to Ismail, Abdulla, and the third chap who was lovely but we couldn't recall his name.
Top tip: Check out Taşev restaurant just next door. It was so lovely we went both nights.

The room was very comfortable. Hotel has lovely views over the old town, which is easily walkable, and they have dedicated parking which is great if you are driving. The check in process was easy and the staff are very attentive and hard working. The breakfast in the morning was excellent.

Why not a perfect score? A couple of things. On our final morning, a staff member confronted another couple over not scoring a perfect 10/10 in their review. Also, the front door was locked in the morning and we couldn’t exit until staff unlocked the door from the outside. Not sure if this is standard practice, but this would be dangerous in an emergency.

One day get away

We wanted to go live in this quaint place away from tbe tourist hustle bustle. It was great for this. We did a 2 day trip from Istanbul. The room was tiny as most hotel rooms in tbis city are. It has cute old style windows and window drapes. The market and restaurants were just a short walk down the hill. This place was cute. The manager, Esmile was extremely helpful and has a great sense of humor. The owner helped us with currency exchange and helped pay the taxi driver. Overall, a plesant experience. Will i come back to this city agin? May be if it was enroute on a trip.

Perfectly renovated old Konak (old Turkish mansion) with excellent view of Safranbolu. The owner was very kind and helpful. His recommendations helped us a lot when sightseeing around Safranbolu. Every important landmark and central bazaar is in walking distance from the hotel. The room was historically authentic and comfortable. I would recommend this place to every traveler who wants to visit the magnificient city of Safranbolu.

Homey style hotel in this lovely Turkish town

We checked in pretty late due to traffic from Istanbul and the host of the hotel was very hospitable to check us in and showed us everything we needed. The room was very cute and instantly made you feel home. The design of the hotel room was extraordinary and filled with traditional Turkish home details.

The breakfast was awesome as well next to this gorgeous morning views of the town. The hospitality of the hotel staff will fuel energy and joy for the start of your day!

Excellent hospitality in historic hotel

This hotel is located in two historic buildings in Safranbolu which retain their original charm and features very nicely, whilst having all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. It is a small hotel, with only 10 rooms, and the host, Abdullah, is the most friendly and welcoming man you could wish for. He was full of local information and was delighted to accommodate anything we needed, including restaurant recommendations and a short history of the town.
The hotel has a great vantage point over the town, with lovely views, particularly at night with the town lit up. The traditional Turkish breakfast was very good and plentiful and the breakfast room again has a great view over the town. It's a short walk from the hotel into the heart of Safranbolu, and the town was one of the highlights of our trip.
We can highly recommend Seyir Konak Otel and Abdullah's hospitality.

Mr Abudllah is very kind, I arrive to hotel in the early morning, he allowed me check in early and also upgraded me to a better room, thank you.
The room is very big and toilet is clean as well. However, the heater is not work very well to me, so I feel a bit cold at night, other than that, everything was prefect!!!!!!!!
Location is good, can easily walk to every attractions, although a bit uphill, but you could manage.
Furthermore, they provided traditional Turkish breakfast, it was so nice.

Hotel and decor was beautiful, the only one with terrace overlooking the old town. İt is on high ground so there are steps to go up and down to the street bazaar. From the hotel you can walk to all the main attractions by foot. That is the best way to explore the town. Only problem is the limited parking. Önce you park then don’t drive out until you check out.
The room and toilet (with shower) was clean and comfortable. The decor was unique and reminiscent of how it would look like in the old days. The staffs were friendly and attentive to our needs and requests. Special mention to Abdullah who welcomed us and told us where we should visit. He was always greeting us and making sure we had a good visit. I highly recommend the hotel

Excellent historical place to stay!! The rooms are stunning, it is within a few minute walk of the bazaar. The service was great. The breakfast was phenomenal. Knowing some Turkish helps! There are lots of hills and stairs so you must be able to use stairs to stay in this hotel. We loved our stay so much!!

The hotel and breakfast were lovely. Abdullah made us feel welcome, helped us park the car (parking was not easy), gave us a daily itinerary, and was always smiling and helpful. He offered tea every evening, and his wife made bayram treats. The superior room we booked could sleep 2 adults and 2 smaller children. For 2 older children a second room is advisable. One improvement that could be made is that a jug of drinking water could be provided at breakfast alongside the tea. We were charged for bottled water. Otherwise would thoroughly recommend.

For a one night stay it was fine, and hotel was ok . However, the bathroom was incredibly small. Hotel was a collection of differerent buildings. I know it is a turkish tradition, but this is the first time ever we were asked to take off shoes before entering various parts of the property - this was difficult due to the layout. If we had been told about this i would have taken a pair of crocs /flip flops wih me. Breakfast ok, but as much choice as thought.

We have really enjoyed our stay. It’s a nice authentic little hotel owned by a lovely family. You can really feel like back in a day silk road trader that used to stay at Safranbolu, but without sacrificing your comfort. Amazing views on a town and a very tasty local breakfast. The owner is super kind, nice and helpful. Almost all of places were still closed because of the COVID so he invited us for a barbecue they were having for their family.

10 star quality in the unique historical village

This place and this hotel is brilliant in the heart of Turkey. The hotel is located on a hill that gives you panoramic view to one of the most beautiful historical places of ottoman Turkey - Safranbolu village. At night you can see the stars above its ceramic roofs and minarets. In the mornings - smoke out of cozy pipes. At the same time the hotel is close to the center, 2 min enjoyable walk along easy hill. Very important thing - service and great team. Abdulla, Ilkay and Sevash, working here are fantastic people. They share ideas for trips and places, welcome you with great coffee and serve large and fresh Turkish breakfast. They give tips and hints where to go and what to see around. Bytheway there are couple of other historical sites very close to Safranbolu, just ask. This was one of the best trips in my life. Turkish hospitality, ottoman authentic style and just great comfort. Room is super clean, in historical building but safe and with all facilities. Warm fireplace on first floor, terrace with panoramic view on second, and rooms on third - all with embroidered linen and outstanding set of beds and towels. Real real 5 stars, better I give it 10. Bravo!

This is a very unique property as it is a traditional Ottoman Konak. I suspect it was renovated at one point to make it suited to modern travelers. Therefore, the bathrooms are very small - they probably were not a part of the original room. The property is beautifully decorated and well cared for. It is very clean (they even ask you to take your shoes off at the door). The carpets are everywhere. It makes you feel like you were transported back in time.
Breakfast is served at a really nice dining room with a view of the city. The details and decor are amazing. Breakfast will not disappoint with variety and portion size and will keep you full for a while.
The manager who met us was extremely nice, helped us with bags. He (or any other staff) doesn't speak much English but he was very efficient with the translator app - this is how we communicated. He even gave us an itinerary to see places around. I took a picture of it, translated it in the room and we followed it. It was very well put together and helpful because we didn't know much about the area.
The hotel is conveniently located and is walking distance to the market, shops and restaurants.
I really recommend this hotel.

Charming hotel with amazing views! My husband and I were warmly welcomed and given a quick intro to the city. The city center is a short walk away. 방은 약간 작지만 깨끗하고 가장 위쪽에 위치해서 구 시가 전체가 내려다보이며 바로 걸어내려갈 수 있는 위치입니다.
터키어만 가능하지만 행동으로 설명해주고 친절해서 전혀 불편하진 않지만 처음 찾아갈 때는 구글에서 위치를 확인하고 가시는게 좋습니다.
주차는 가능한데 들어가는 길이.... 많이 좁고 큰 차는 못 들어갑니다.
약간 불편한 점이 있지만 놀러간다면 여기에 다시 묶을 생각입니다.
장점 : 가성비와 전망, 친절함
단점 : 주차 난이도, 방이 약간 작음

Amazing views but room was way too small

I had high hopes for this place based on the price and reviews but I was disappointed. The thing that stood out to me the most about the room is that it was really small with no where to put our clothes (no closet, no drawers, not even a luggage rack). We had to stack our clothes on the floor. Also, the room felt old, like my grandmother’s, not like it was historic. There were a few things not working in the room such as the mini refrigerator and the towel warmer and some light bulbs were burned out. The hot water was also not very hot. The two positives about this place are the staff and GORGEOUS views of Safranbolu. If I went back to Safranbolu I would stay someplace else because we were not comfortable in the room.

they also have breakfast to us, the first night we request \"breakfast\" around 12 coz we just so tired for the long flight. they really make us breakfast at 12 tn the next day!!! thank you very much!!!

Homely budget hotel with a bird's eye view.

Located at almost the highest point the the Safranbolu, yet, we could easily access to all sightseeing spots easily by a few-minute walk. We took breakfast in the hotel cafe with a bird eyes of the city with decent home-made salad, cheese and nice coffee. Thanks Abdullah!, a nice and welcoming host.

Lovely Hotel

Really a lovely authentic old fashioned hotel. Beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Excellent location and stunning views. You can just park your car and walk for the duration of your stay. The breakfast was also very nice and the hotel owner took every care to ensure it was served hot and on time. My only suggestion would be to leave the heating on, as the room was a cold in the morning after the heating had been turned off. Otherwise definitely worth it and we will be returning.

Sehr schöne Aussicht, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr nettes Frühstück mit schönem Ausblick, Lage super nur ein paar Minuten in die Altstadt und über eine Stiege erreichbar. Das Zimmer war sehr charmant und original getreu eingerichtet, allerdings war das Bett sehr knarren und hat bei jedem umdrehen Geräusche gemacht, das Bad war viel zu klein, man konnte nicht einmal richtig auf dem Klo sitzen, Dusche okay, aber sehr schlechtes Licht im Bad.

샤프란볼루 전망대를 보고 호텔로 바로 왔는데, 전망대 바로 밑에 위치한 호텔이었어요.

호텔앞에 도착하니 베르카이가 기다렸다는듯이 나와서 주차를 도와주고, 나와 아내의 무거운 짐을 방으로 옮겨 주었어요.

방은 아담하고 먼지 하나없이 깨끗했어요. 오스만 전통가옥의 분위기를 느낄수 있었어요. 방에서의 전망도 좋았구요.

아쉽게도 우리는 튀르키예 4주 여행 중 여기서 하루만 묵었는데, 아침도 맛있게 먹었어요. 풍성한 빵과 여러가지 치즈, 따끈한 계란찜, 커피 등 컨티넨탈 브랙퍼스트를 좋아하는 나에게는 딱 좋았어요. 아침식사를 서빙해준 이스마일은 쾌활하고 친절한 친구였어요. 땡큐 이스마일!

체크아웃도 인상깊었어요. 오스만 전통가옥 두채를 엮어 개조한 규모가 크지않은 전통호텔이어서 그런지 아버지 압둘라와 아들 베르카이, 그리고 쾌활하고 친절한 이스마일까지 다 나와서 작별인사를 해주었어요. 꼭 에어비앤비에 묵은 것 같은 정감있는 느낌이었어요.

베르카이는 우리의 다음 행선지에 대해서도 친절한 안내를 해 주었는데, 그 눈빛에 진지함과 성실함이 느껴졌어요.

우리가 또다시 사프란볼루에 오기는 어려울 거에요. 하지만 여기에 오실 미래의 게스트에게 이 호텔을 강력 추천합니다. 조명이 밝지는 않았는데, 그 이유는 잘 모르겠어요. 아마 오스만의 옛날 분위기를 그대로 살리려는 의도일수도 있어요. 이것은 베르카이가 생각해 볼 부분이라고 생각해요.

너무 아름다운 집입니다. 주인의 정성이 작은 소품 하나하나에 가득 들어있어요. 특히 이스마일이 안내해주는 샤프란볼루 1일코스는 너무 자세하고 유용했어요. 시내를 내려다볼 수 있고 걸어서 3분이면 모든 유적지에 도착할수 있어 위치는 정말 최고입니다. 저녁에 약간 쌀쌀해져 추울까 걱정했는데 라지에이터를 켤수 있어 따뜻했어요. 항상 차를 대접해주시는 주인장님 너무 친절하세요. 조식은 따뜻한 오믈렛과 각종 채소, 5가지의 치즈, 만두, 감자튀김 등이 제공되는데 양이 푸짐해요. 주차는 호텔입구에 세울수 있어요. 정말 추천합니다.

Güzel bir Safranbolu deneyimi

Otel tarihi şehri tepeden gören bir konumda olup harika bir manzaraya sahip. Çalışanlar ve otel sahibi çok kibar, güler yüzlü ve ilgililer. Otoparktan itibaren güzel bir karşılamadan sonra, tarihi şehirle ilgili genel bir bilgi vererek gezilmesi ve ziyaret edilmesi gereken yerler hakkanda rehber bilgi verdiler.
Odamız tarihi dokuya uygun, temiz ve rahattı. Kahvaltı gayet kaliteli ve nefis bir manzaraya bakan terasta sunulmaktadır. Kısa bir zaman dilimi için konakladığımızdan pek çok yeri gezemedik. Şehrin ve çevresinin tam anlamıyla gezilebilmesi için 2 gece konaklama yapılmasını öneririm. Biz Safranboluya tekrar gelmeye karar verdik. Yine tercihimiz Safranbolu Seyir Konak Otel olacaktır.

La struttura è molto carina e ben tenuta, a 2 passi dal centro e dotata di una bella terrazza con vista da cartolina su Safranbolu. Colazione buona e abbondante. Personale gentile, attento e disponibile. Unico neo: non accettano le carte di credito e (unico hotel dei 7 dove ho soggiornato in Turchia) e neppure questo viene segnalato sulla pagina Expedia della struttura; abbiamo dovuto girare 4 bancomat per trovarne uno che ci desse in euro la cifra richiesta e ci è costato extra 20 euro di commissione. La stanza quadrupla dove abbiamo soggiornato è carina e con una bella vista, un po' piccola per una famiglia con ragazzi grandi

İşletmeci Abdullah Bey ve bizi karşılayan İsmail Bey ve çalışan tüm arkadaşların ilgisi, güleryüzü ve samimiyeti çok iyiydi. Otele giriş yapar yapmaz sıcaklığı hissediyorsunuz, eviniz gibi konaklayabileceğiniz mekan. Oda ve banyo temiz, sorunsuzdu. Çok rahat bir gece geçirdik. Safranbolu’nun mistik havasını sonuna kadar hissettik. Kahvaltısı gayet yeterli ve güzeldi. Araç için park yeri az olsa da ilgilendiler ve çözüm buldular. Lokasyon olarak merkezi yerdeydi. Manzarası harikaydı. Biz çok memnun kaldık. Fiyat/performans mekanıydı. Bir dahaki Safranbolu gezimizde konaklayacak yer aramayacağımızdan eminiz. Eleştirebileceğim tek şey var ise o da odalarda ses yalıtımının düşük olmasıydı. Bunun da tarihi bir konak olmasından kaynaklandığını düşünüyorum. Her şey için teşekkür ediyoruz.

Perfect authentic stay in Safranbolu

We had an excellent stay at Seyir Konak. We arrived early evening with Ismail welcoming us like royalty, just in time for tea on the terrace overlooking the sunset over Safranbolu. He was very friendly and kind, making us feel completely at home. Our room was very comfortable and authentic and breakfast was delicious, once again overlooking the town.

Safranboluyu çok sevdiğim için hersene geliyorum nerdeyse. İlk defa Seyir konakta kaldım ve herşey çok güzeldi. Abdullah bey ve İsmail beyin ilgisi tartışılmaz. Aile işletmesi olduğu için de herşey ev konforunda. Akşam çayına ben inemediğim için çay servisimizi odaya bile aldık yetmedi tekrar istermisiniz diye sordular, Kahvaltı da gayet yeterli ve lezzetli. Odamızdan şehir manzarasını izleyerek uyumak çok güzeldi. Şansımıza banyolar yeni tadilattan çıkmıştı. Seneye yine gelcem ve kosmetse yine burda kalıcaz.

Bi öneri vermek gerekirse; sıcak içecekler(türk kahvesi) ücretli olmasa pek bir şey kaybetmezsiniz aksine müşteri daha çok memnun olabilir, fiyatı aşırı değildi ama ücretsiz olabilirdi. Sevgilimle birlikte hoş vakit geçirdiğim oldukça arkadaş canlısı harika ve yardım sever personelin olduğu otel. Her daim konforlu ve güvenilir hissettirdi. Otel ortamı gayet samimi ve sıcaktı. Oda ile ilgili bir problem yasamadik. Temizlik iyiydi. Yatak buyuk ve rahatti. Geleneksel turk aile ortamini hissetiriyor. Sunu diyebilirim ki; iki gunde sanki gecmis doneme bir yolculuk yaptik. Iyi ki burayi secmisiz diyebilirim. Cok memnun ayrildik. Kahvaltiyi unutmayalim. Yeterli desek az demis oluruz, fazlasiyla doyurucu.. Aile isletmesi olmasi da o sicakligi hissettiriyor.

Prachtig historisch gebouw met geweldig uitzicht. Vriendelijke staf. Prettige sfeer. Dat meeste kamers geen airconditioning hebben (verboden door UNESCO) had expliciet vooraf vermeld moeten worden. Kamer was overdag ondraaglijk warm. Maar algemene sfeer en ambiance maakte alles goed.

Otele giriş anından çıkış anına kadar Abdullah Bey ve tüm ekip her an rahat etmeniz için büyük özen gösteriyor. İlgileri, nazik ve kibar yaklaşımları günümüzde ender bulunan bir şans. Abdullah Bey müsaitlik de olması sebebiyle her iki taraf için de avantajlı olacak şekilde bir üst segment odada konaklamamız için yardımcı oldu. Odaya yerleştikten sonra Abdullah Bey otelin seyir terasından göstererek Safranbolu'da gezilecek yerleri tanıtıyor. Tesisin ve odaların temizliği tatmin edici. Kahvaltı serpme kahvaltı ve organik. Araç park yeri mevcut. Bizim için tüm yönleriyle memnun edici bir konaklama oldu. Eşinize, dostunuza rahatlıkla önerebileceğiniz, tekrar kalmak isteyeceğiniz bir otel. Otelin iç dekorasyonuna, yatakların konforluğuna, pike takımlarının güzelliğine kadar bayıldım. Safranbolu ya yolum yeniden düşerse, yine Seyir Konak oteli tercih ederim.

Tek gecelik konaklamamızdan çok memnun kaldık. Tipik bir otel odasından ziyade konakta kalıyor olmak hoş bir değişiklik oldu. Otelin merkezi konumu ve Safranbolu manzarası önemli artılar. Kahvaltı nefis. Hepsinden öte personelin ilgi ve alakası, güler yüzlü yaklaşımı, yardımseverliği bizi çok memnun etti.

The hotel is located on the hill. It is not easy to drive up there. Yet its view is beautiful. The room has AC but the remote was not provided, when we asked, the staff told us that it was not necessary to use AC.

It is easy to walk down the hill to the streets full of small stores and restaurants. It took us a long time to find a seemingly clean and decent restaurant. We were kind of disppointed at some of them. They were not very friendly.

Safranbolu’da ilk defa gece kaldım. “Butik otel” tanımına uyan, güzel, geleneksel ve temiz bir otel. Abdullah bey, Safranbolu’nun yerlisi olması sebebiyle 15 dakikada size burada gezilecek yerler ve alış-veriş konularını güzelce özetliyor. Tekrar geldiğimde kalmayı düşüneceğim bir otel.

物超所值

First of all, thanks for the hotel giving us valuable experience. We booked one room, however the hotel gave us two rooms since we have 4 family members. It’s really appreciated. And the breakfast and the building is very “Ottoman Style”, we took a lot of photos here. And the staffs are very nice, waiting for our check in till 2 am. And helping us take the luggage upstairs and downstairs. Really high recommend this hotel when you are in Safranbolu. The place is very convenience to the travelling spots.
