Lovely friendly hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with big rooms which are very clean.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.

The food in the restaurant was beautiful and good sized portions.

Room was extremely small with children’s single bed. First room I went into the washbasin did not drain. They moved me into another room after I already unpacked. I stay at various Van Der Valk hotels quite often and usually get free upgrades. I didn’t even know rooms this small exist outside of Japan!!

It was clean, good WiFi, balcony and close to my job site. I had the do not disturb sign on my door most days but the staff still left a bag with fresh towels, coffee and soap every time. Great hotel. Could t ask for more.

Nice, modern hotel but pricey for room service

Nice hotel which is kept modern and in good decor. I've used this hotel a few times over the years which reflects how comfortable I am with it. In room wifi worked well.

Overall it was a nice place. Only 2 negatives, one that when you walk from reception to your room you are often walking all the way through the restaurant which is weird. Also the hotel has a €10 tray charge for room service. I feel this is very expensive and penalises business travellers like myself who can often be travelling alone and rather than lose most of the night being waited upon can instead be productive working in their room and grabbing a quick feed via room service.

Great value for money

The Van der Valk hotel in Drachten appears to be on the older side and the room, furnishings and fittings are perhaps a little dated. However, it's still spotlessly clean and a very pleasant place to stay. The people are super-friendly and we had no complaints during our stay. Our room service dinner was excellent and good value for money.

Fine hotel with bowling next door

We had a fine stay, but we parked at the back of the hotel to be closer to the room (plenty of parking, by the way) thus coming in by a kind of odd entrance that went to the hotel and the very smokey bowling alley. It didn't give the best impression, although the hotel was very nice otherwise. The halls were very narrow and we had to walk pretty far to our room and go through several doors to get there (not ideal with an infant and several suitcases) but the room was clean and nice. Free wifi was great - no problem Skyping with it. Nice flat walk-in shower with large drain so no clogging. I thought it was a good solution, but a tub would have been nice to be able to give our baby a bath. We didn't try the breakfast or the restaurant, but the lounge looked really nice walking through.

Angenehmes Hotel ausgelegt gür größere Veranstaltungen. Grosser Parkplatz auch für E-Autos. Schönes Restaurant. Lage am Rande von Drachten an der Autobahn.

Hotel zag er netjes uit. Kamers was wat verouderd maar wel netjes opgeknapt. Bed sliep prima.

Prijzen van het drinken zijn wel aan de hoge kant, €7,5 voor een groot bier.

Met een 20 minuten lopen zit een straat met kroegen. Hier de avond door gebracht en waren €35.- kwijt voor met z'n 2en.

Kamer was prima en compleet ingericht met alles voor 1 persoon. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
De gang naar mijn kamer was lang en smal. Het was vervelend dat de deuren zo hard dicht klapte! Mijn kamer lag aan de kant van het busstation en dat was meer dan luidruchtig. Dan waren er ook nog zeer luide activiteiten én er werd ‘‘s nachts gewerkt met compressors en hoge drukslangen om 02.00 uur. Dat was meer dan jammer!

Vrij duur maar grote kamer en lang weekend in NL, maar vindt wel dat voor die prijs het ontbijt inclusief mag zijn.

Goed hotel

Vond het een beetje gedateerd, maar wel allemaal netjes. Was niet helemaal goed schoongemaakt, haren in het bad. Ook waren de handdoeken die we in het bad lagen niet gewisseld. Mbt ontbijt ben ik bij andere,vd Valk beter gewend.

Ik kwam met mijn fiets uit de richting Beetsterzwaag. Ondanks Google Maps is dat uw hotel voor een eerste keer erg moeilijk te vinden! Oplossing is niet (!) door meer verlichting toe te passen (lichtvervuiling) maar misschien een aaneengesloten serie bordjes (niet geel, want lelijk) vanuit centrum Drachten en dito busstation.
Heel positief is wel dat u ook per bus te bereiken bent zoals ik zag.
Ontbijt was absoluut voortreffelijk 👍👍

Das Hotel ist gut, schöne neuere Zimmer/Bad, Betten mittelhart aber okey.
Wir waren zum Abendessen im Restaurant 17 Personen und fanden das Essen nicht so gut. Aber das sehr reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet für € 17.50/Pers. War sehr lecker!!!
Wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen.Das Personal in allen Bereichen sehr freundlich, vielen Dank dafür!!

Prettige ontvangst, de hond mocht mee dat is geweldig. Ook in het restaurant was het super fijn.
Het is warm in het hotel, de kachel mag gerust wat lager.
In de kamers en ontbijtzaal mag de temperatuur 2 graden naar beneden.

Prima verblijf in het noorden

Een goed hotel om te overnachten en de omgeving te verkennen. De kamer was netjes, badkamer schoon, bedden prima. Het ontbijt was goed en je kon binnen of buiten zitten, in het restaurant kon je heerlijk dineren ook op het terras.

Viel zu teuer Hund 15 Euro und das Zimmer 160 CHF

Das Zimmer war kalt feucht und roch nach Hund .. und es war viel zu teuer!!! Das einzig schöne war das Badezimmer 👍👍das war top und das Bett!

Buiten zeer vriendelijk personeel is dit hotel niet echt wat je verwacht tegenwoordig van een Valk hotel. Prijs kwaliteit is erg scheef. Voor de prijs van een overnachting heeft van der Valk hotels betere hotels in huis. Een renovatie is zeker geen luxe voor dit hotel.

De houder van de douchekop was gescheurd, waardoor we de douchekop met de hand vast moesten houden, bij het uitchecken dit ook aangegeven.
2 aparte bedden waren niet heel ideaal als stel zijnde, de bedden waren erg glad, waardoor de matrassen telkens van elkaar wegschoven.
Verder een hele nette en moderne kamer, met een ruim bad. Fijn dat we ook pas om 12uur hoefden uit te checken!
