I reserved a single room and was very surprised to have a queen bed. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I felt very safe as a solo traveler. The restaurant inside the hotel was absolutely wonderful-ate there twice during my stay. I would definitely stay here again and hope I gave the opportunity to return!

Overall a great stay and experience!!

Really enjoyed the stay. Cleaning was top class. You must have really great trustworthy staff to be going in making the beds every day and tidying the rooms. Beds comfy too. Friendly staff. Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash is very nice. Breakfast was really good would but the sausages were the most bland sausages I tasted on the whole trip, like the ones you get in England.

It is an excellent hotel, beautifully landscaped.
My complaints are minor, no ac in the room and even with portable fan, the room was very hot.
So many flies in the room, I guess housekeeper left the window open for fresh air and i had to kill more than 30 mosquitoes, flies all night

Good but needs some updating.

We had a good stay at this hotel. We had a good sized room with a standard double and two single beds. We were glad of the extra bed as we have a king bed at home and the double seemed very small, and it was not comfortable either. The room was clean but the furniture is somewhat dated. The public areas are clean and with the Christmas decorations up - it looked lovely. They were unable to make me a decaf latte at breakfast.

Lovely stay at the Anner. Special birthday note and slice of cake for my mum on arrival which was a really nice touch. Fantastic large spotless clean pool, but some serious work needed on the dressing rooms to get them up to 4* standard. Dinner was delicous and service top notch. Breakfast however was just chaotic, seating should be assigned. 1 person at a 4 person table. Traffic light system is there to guide you to busy times but I had to ask twice for the continental area to be replenished, no fruit, no meats/cheese and staff seemed to be run off their feet so clearly need more of them or perhaps a little more training for the morning crew. Just small tweaks and it would be even better! Beautiful clean room, comfy beds and really nice bathroom, I will definitely return again and would recommend a stay there.

We arrived late after a long day of driving and no restaurants were open and they would not heat up some food in the microwave for us, manager denied, so my young son had cold spaghetti. For luxury hotel it was lacking customer obsession. Epic fail. Beds were like sleeping on plywood too.

Spent two nights here. Its a nice place to visit with no down sides that i could see. Check in was quick. Wifi in the room was good. The room was nice and clean and comfortable. A very pleasant hotel, about a 15 minute walk from the town centre. There is ample parking at the hotel. Our room was spotless with excellent bathroom amenities. The room and a double bed and two singles but there was still room to sit and it was comfortable. We were attending the wedding and the food was excellent and the staff friendly, efficient and professional. I would have no hesitation staying here again.

Amazing last minute booking for Southern Ireland!

I didn’t intend to stay in Southern Ireland initially but then my itinerary changed. I was lucky to get a last minute booking for a few days! It is located in a relatively quiet city. But it is a venue that hosts weddings and parties so be aware that you will hear some great music at night! Everyone working at the front desk were so incredibly friendly! This location isn’t a far drive from the Rock of Cashel. Definitely planning to stay here again in the future!

Apon arrival I was informed the pool is not open to children after 6:15 which was extremely disappointing after a 4 hour journey. The reason given adults are doing swimming lessons surely a 4 star hotel is not the place for swimming lessons. The Wifi signal is extremely poor and difficult to connect to so I rang reception to be told the guest wifi is the only one available. This connection did not work for the first night of our stay. The restaurant was also very disappointing. Two groups of people that arrived after mybfamily and that ordered after us were served before us. The childrens pizzas were not even cut up there was merely a mark on them wherevthey should have been cut. The one of the pizzas was burned underneath. The restaurant staff were extremely unattentative even asked if we wanted cutlery spoons for my childrens ice cream. Which they could not eat without cutlery. The only area that was enjoyable was the pool during the day. Also there are no safes in the rooms and there is absolutely no information in the hotel of attractions in Thurles.

Shower in the room didn't work which was a bit annoying but the biggest disappointment was the bar , as a sports bar it only had 1 seating area you could watch the TV and the bar didn't have any sky sports channels which I found very odd.

The room was ok and the bed was very comfy. There was an out of shape and dirty lamp shade that needs to be replaced. I would say that the only issue is the bathroom it was in need of updating with old grout and sealant and the bath needed to be replaced as the enamel was worn.
the staff and service were excellent and the foot was very nice too.

Slightly disappointed with this hotel. Checking in was flawless, couldn’t fault it, bedroom was ok, bathroom was a sticking point for me, mould and dirt around the bath and along the tiles, given there’s a pandemic going around, felt compromised using the facilities, went to use the swimming pool, it felt like something out of the dark ages, the jacuzzi was out of action and it looked filthy, felt uncomfortable using the pool because of no social distancing requirements and users coughing everywhere while swimming, the food was lovely, couldn’t find fault with it. All in all for a 4 star hospitality venue, it doesn’t meet expectations.

Great outdoor area for drinks. Restrictions on where you can eat outside but there were patio tables available for dinner and then once you close the bill you can go sit in the garden area which is very large and has great space for kids to run around and play in the gardens. Great cocktail menu.

We did like the convenience of ample parking, a lift, the cleanliness of our smallish room. The pancakes were a little disappointing for breakfast, they weren't the fluffy ones pictured in the brochure. We found the staff very courteous and helpful.

When we walked into the hotel there were three staff at reception chatting and took 3-5 minutes to acknowledge our presence. Overall interactions with reception staff were quite poor. Our room had a view of the ventilation system, wall, and garbage, we could not open the window without a foul odour.
When we called to complain the manager was lovely and offered diner or a return stay at a good rate, which was nice.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel - more like a 2 star hotel with pretensions. The leisure center was dirty and falling apart - peeling pain, rotting wood, shabbyt etc. There were no 'extras' you would expect in a 4 start hotel like dressing gowns, nice bath products etc. The beakfast was tasty but very simple, again no extras of a 4 star. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly - but don't do expecting a 4 star because you'll be disappointed!

Hotel has lovely ambiance, staff and rooms

We were a family staying for a brief visit, unfortunately. The rooms are very clean and everything you would need. The bar has been designed beautifully and you can sit outside on a warm day. The food was nice bar food, and the kids enjoyed their breakfast. The pool is beautiful and the family enjoyed it. The staff are all lovely (Thomas, Joanne) even when it is really busy there, and are hard-working with a smile. We will return again in a few weeks so we can have more time to enjoy our stay.
